I love the staff here! Jokes and tea! I set up to work here for a few hours and found about a poetry slam they were hosting that evening! It was exactly what I was looking for while traveling through!Oh, I also tried there vegan breakfast burrito, could have used a bit more ingredients for the price, yet I wasnt hungry just wanted to try.

Today I woke up and I wanted some really delicious breakfast food. I found my way to 640 West for the first time and I had “The Visionary” breakfast combo and it’s without a doubt within the Top 3 best things I’ve eaten in the past two months. Period. It smelled so good and tasted just the same. On top of that, the service was so intimate and full of genuine care and concern for my experience in their space. I can’t wait to come back!Update: I went back at least 5 times since this review. I got the same breakfast sandwich mentioned before, but I’ve also had the avocado toast, the “Earth Tone” wrap, a smoothie and a $7 Basil bottled tea drink. All of the things I’ve eaten here are good and I love that most things come with a side of fresh fruit. However, when it comes to the service and preparation of the food, some employees make better meals than others. Slapping together a sandwich or a wrap does effect the taste experience of the food as opposed to it being prepared with intent and diligence.I will say though, given the options available in the West End for health-conscious food and superb quick bites, 640 West stands as a leading local eatery.Tip for customers: Order food ahead!Suggestion for 640 West: The bean patty that is used as a meat substitute could possibly stand to be improved by opting for a chipotle seasoned bean spread with veggies placed on top.

Beautiful, clean, relaxing space. Upon entering, the gentleman behind the counter greeted me and helped me figure out what I wanted as it was my first time here; he explained what the menu had to offer and that they are a vegan cafe. The building was a little hard for me to find, but after parking in the Krispy Kreme lot I was able to walk to the store front no problem. The service was kind, helpful, and quick without skimping on quality. I really enjoyed my latte and hope to visit again when I find myself back in Atlanta.

The BEST Vegan spot...hidden behind Krispy Kreme. I had the avacado toast on thick bread drizzled with sweet balsamic sprinkled with red pepper flakes. MIND BLOWING TO THE TASTE BUDS! I ordered the Acai coconut bowl...almost like a yougurt with granola, fruit-strawberry, blueberries and sprinkled with hemp seeds....

This is a hidden gem! Its large space is good for meetings. The coffee was delicious. I ordered a chicken sausage croissant with eggs and spinach. The fruit was included as the side. It was amazingly good! I like the at home atmosphere! The staff was friendly and helpful. They seem to genuinely care if the customers are happy. I will definitely be back the next time Im in southwest Atlanta!

Very kind service and nice ambiance. Unfortunately, the meal options are very limited and it took them 15 minutes to prepare avocado toast. Need to work on offering more options and speed. Otherwise, it’s a great community addition.

I’ve been here about 5 or 6 times now. Each time I get the coffee which is by far the best coffee I’ve had in Atlanta.Once, my family and I orderedAçaí bowl, it was rock hard frozen so difficult to each but had a nice taste.The avocado toast which was really good & comes with about 4 slices.The gluten free pancakes were the best item we ordered off the menu. Extremely tasty.Finally the breakfast burrito was thick and pretty tasty.The guy who works at the register although often really nice, I think he feels untouchable : patrons will sometimes walk in and he’ll give attitude and say “the kitchen closes at 3!” It’s interesting because he says it like people should know, when there’s no signage of that. He’s a cool guy otherwise and I’ll come back for the coffee whenever I’m in town.

Today was the second, and last time, supporting this business. The first time I supported, my friend and I came for breakfast. There was nothing to indicate the restaurant was out of anything in the menu, yet after choosing three items from the menu it was clear they had not stocked and there was a severely limited selection. Reluctantly, I ordered what was available hoping that the next visit would be better.The second visit, we came and attempted to order again. Being cautious, I asked the cashier if they were out of anything on the menu. He replied, No. I ordered first, and what I ordered was available. Yet and still, when my friend went to order after choosing another three items they again were out of several options. Now....didnt I ask you if you were out of items, and you replied No?! Smugly, he replies You know we dont have the oatmeal? Sir, How was I supposed to know that? . Candidly he states Everybody knows we dont have the oatmeal. I informed him We werent everybody. I asked him why the menu has the variety if selections if they never have them. He claimed it was simply takinga while to update the menu. Two visits, and apparently everyone knows they never have items. Must be a cover operation or something.The customer service was lacking, he blatantly lied, and we wasted gas to come here...twice, and the food is meh. Never again. This is why black businesses fail.**Read the other low reviews, we cant all be lying**

I had the fiesta burrito which was really good, but the guy at the register has a non welcoming, arrogant attitude. This guy is not people friendly AT ALL. I want to return, but I dont want to deal with this guys lack of customer service skills. To be working at someone elses establishment with the cashiers type of attitude truly suck and can make good customers not want to return and not recommend this place to anyone else. Great customer service means everything to paying customers. UniTEA should consider getting some.

Food and drinks are awesome!!!! Try Amiques Ginga Juice, its healthy, refreshing and delicious.

Today wasn’t a good day for me on my VERY FIRST and Last to this spot. Reviews seemed to be great for the most part online, but when we arrived - the customer service from the gentleman at the register was non-existent. Barely talking; breathing heavily as if we were bothering him for taking time to ask questions; and very limited choices! We were prepared to spend good $ this morning. After ordering a refund was requested and he shared it was processed - hopefully the right thing was done. Because we left empty handed and disappointed! Unfortunately, when I try to support local businesses I too often run into mistreatment of the locals! Maybe in the future, I’ll have the confidence in returning and have a better experience. Until then...

Tried to go here 3 times and every single time its been closed despite the hours saying its opened. If youre not going to be consistent about your hours at least update them on Google.

This place was awesome! I came for an event and then came back the next day for food and was very satisfied both . I am happy to be able to visit ATL and easily find vegan restaurants and spaces & places with melanin ppl! I ordered a fiesta burrito which was pure deliciousness! Deon, in the front was very cool. He was very personable and willing to go above and beyond to assist! He deserves recognition because he was a great help the day before for the event! This the the spot! The food is banging, best vegan egg Ive ever had. The visionary was so good that we got it twice while we were in Atlanta. But the best part was the staff, very sweet and knowledgeable young women that care about their customers. And the food was reasonably priced as well. Ill be back on my next trip up for sure.

Great addition to the West End community of Atlanta, Georgia. I frequent 640, quite often. Think 3-4 times a month. I enjoy the reasonably priced healthy food options and the atmosphere is great for studying or hosting a meeting. My reason for 3 stars is the following. The menu is never fully available. 640 seems to never have all of the ingredients in stock to prepare certain dishes and/or smoothies/juices. Finally, they dont always adhere to their hours. Sometimes they are closed much earlier than the time listed. This is determined by the pace of business for the day. Overall great place, but just simply hasnt reached its potential yet.

Excellent alternative to Starbucks hustle and bustle demeanor. This cafe brings back the homage to the original coffee shops. There A few games over in the corner such as chess, checker, tic tax, etc. A few books are already there you may want to read. A very spacious area. And would be A great venue to have events.

Pro: Laid back atmosphere. Pleasant person that served me. Decent space. Tasty sandwich. (Had The Visionary.). An addition to the neighborhood.Con: SLOW service!!!!! It shouldnt take 20 mins to make a breakfast sandwich! Maybe put in place a process for expediting orders or have more than one person behind the counter. Would suggest purchasing a better quality of coffee as well.

Business was really slow when I visited, and most of the stations had been shut down which limited quite a few of the menu options. Disappointing that we couldnt order most of what we came for, but I can see why it would be a great place to study or catch up on work. I hope on the next visit, I can enjoy all that it has to offer. A+ for ambiance, D- for experience.

Spacious, chill cafe with plenty of work space. WiFi is great for handling work (while mine is still being installed at home!). They have jazz and other chill tunes going in the background that create a relaxing atmosphere. The food and coffee Ive tried from the menu are also good-- kale salad is refreshing and cappuccino size was generous! Could definitely make this my regular spot instead of a Starbucks.

The staff is very friendly and the food is tasty. You can get a nice healthy wrap then treat yourself to one of their baked goods. If youre looking for a place with a neighborly vibe, 64 West is a great option.

Nothing that we requested was available. We wanted a cappuccino but the espresso machine was broken. We wanted avocado toast and oatmeal. We waited 10 minutes and then we were informed that neither were available. We asked for our money back and we left.

They seem to be having operational problems. But at first, I gave four stars for the effort, the ambiance, the customer service and especially the peaceful vibe and Motown for my listening pleasure about five months ago. There is no good parking or security. It is super hot inside. Im sure it has potential to be better but there is no bar here and a 1 person bathroom.

Absolutely awesome, simply the best, situated in Historic West End Village, the beginning of the city of Atlanta. The area where African American communities were once forced to live and grow. Today, our beloved African American community are threaten by bad politicians who I call Coons, Coons are unreliable Black people that works under the table to assist barbaric in destroying African American Real estate and destroying Black communities and culture. This process, is best describe as, From Jim Crow Lawless Government System to Black Communities genocide. Only in America, why is it that, Black people just cannot stop people from invading their space? What is our problems? Why Is it, that everything Black people got someone else want or someone elses take away? The barbaric destroy his community with High Rises living unit, then, he comes and destroy Black America. I call this process the invasion of Historic West End Village, this is a process that will only end with death.

Nice community space.

My bookclub and I decided to host our bookclub meeting for the month of October at this establishment. We were really excited because of the reviews we read online. We were highly disappointed when we arrived and weren’t able to enjoy the food or beverage because nothing on the menu was available! Not even a bottle of water! The gentleman at the front desk said there was a wedding the night before and he was forced to still open the establishment even though there weren’t any items to sale! Lets just say my bookclub members and I will not be returning to this establishment.

You CANNOT as a business continue to tell customers what you don’t have when you have an entire printed menu. If you rotate food then get a chalk board and write the items you have to offer daily or weekly. I’m here and I have seen quite a few ppl walk in and leave Bc of “we don’t have” also “we can’t accept cards right now only cash or cash app” that’s horrible. Fix your machine and get it running. There should be no back and forth with customers to explain and justify you all not having items. It’s not that hard to keep a specific stock of food. Make par numbers and keep inventory. This place could be great but it’s clear someone in the background is very careless.

The place has good ambiance and a friendly attendant. However, they dont have all items they offer in their Menu. We ordered a cappuccino... Their coffee machine was broke. I wanted a diet coke instead... They dont have sodas. They offered me water instead. I ordered an avocado toast... he came out after 10 mins to tell me that they run out of avocado. The place was warm, too hot for my taste, the A.C. was not running. I wont be coming back.
