First the breakfast and coffee from Spiller Park Coffee is downright amazing and delicious. I have been to the PCM location many times but boy this was fabulous. Must haves the Cola Cocktail is something otherworldly. Any of the coffees or drinks are awesome. Now the toasts and you must add a fried egg on top. The jam lil moo with egg .. or avocado toast with egg any of the toasts knock your socks off. And the portions are just right. This is better than gorging at a pancake house. Customer service outstanding. This location in the newly updated (new restaurants and more) Toco Hills Plaza is worth the drive from midtown or anywhere. Check out the entire area. Outstanding!!
If you have pets, don’t go to the one on Toco Hill!I loved coming to this place : coffee great, food excellent ! But this all changed today when the staff refused to take my order because I had a miniature Daschund with me! I felt humiliated and discriminated of it ! When I left, the two women up front laughed at me behind my back because I dared to say this is ridiculous that they won’t serve me because I have a dog ! I am a veterinarian ! My dog is healthy, healthier than most people now a days ordering with flu like symptoms ! This place is NOT animal friendly !I refuse to come to this place on Toco Hill again !Starbucks, the biggest and most successful coffee chain WILL SERVE me in store with my dog in hand ! I decide to support those coffee places that are truly animal friendly !
Love this place. Staff is super friendly.. The menu is straightforward with enough options without being overkill. The seating area and large garage door (when open) give a nice open air feeling. The outdoor seating is entirely.
I have 4 because the service is amazing and the toasts are great as well. The only thing I don’t understand is how people like the coffee here…I’ve been to every single coffee shop in Atlanta and this is one of two where I just can’t drink it at all. It seems to be prepared properly but I can’t stand it, I thought I was crazy but my gf agreed. IMO, there is a consensus as to what is actually considered good coffee and most places taste alike. A different bean must be used here that I can’t stand. I’ve tried it 4 times months apart and same opinion. Who knows. 🤷♂️. I’m really not that picky either as long as it’s not Dunkin’ or Starbucks
100% Yummy. I had avocado toast with an egg. Creamy avocado with a special little surprise. Chili butter! Thats a keeper right there. My drink, Chai Latte made with care. Super clean place. Friendly servers. It truly is a jewel of Toco Hills. Ill be back!
This place deserves 5-star. Their coffee is top notch and food is not an after thought. Best avocado toast is best I have ever had
Went in expecting a very mainstream faire, prosaic type of coffee, but left with a surprisingly decent hot latte — the espresso is sufficiently complex with floral and fruit overtones, layered over a nice steamed milk that actually helps enhance the chocolate fragrance of the bean. Color me impressed!
They have the best coffee in Atlanta! Really worth trying! Maybe the only pity is that they dont have any pastries provided. :(
Nice local spot to grab coffee and chill. The outdoor seating is nice. When I went, there was no WiFi, but free Toco Hills wifi is sufficient for casual brow using
My cousin took me here while I was visiting her in Atlanta and it was sooo good! Definitely dont want to miss this if you are in the area. The avocado toast was delicious, with this amazing, zesty sauce and you can get an egg on top as well. I ordered a coffee which was super good, and my cousin got one of their teas. The area is small inside, but it is a great place to come and work on things and hangout.
Good vibes and they take their COVID precautions very seriously which I appreciated! Their bagel sandwiches were delicious but their iced coffee left a lot to be desired. It was almost flavorless and watered down.
Good coffee, although I think they should have more options for eating instead of just toast, maybe some muffins or pastries.
Outstanding coffee. They also offer thick toast with toppers at a good price that are perfect for breakfast snack. If youve got some time, theyve got a good outdoor seating area as well
The Shakshuka was very delicious! Totally recommend. Not a fan of the music they play as I prefer a quieter ambience, but the food was great and the staff kind. If youre thinking of coming alone to work/study here, its a great place to check out! I wouldnt come with friends to study here because the tables are small.
Great vibe. You can only sit outside at this time. Ordered the expresso. Extremely disappointed. It was bitter and tasted old.
Great customer service, they were super nice. Unfortunately my iced coffee wasnt very flavorful. I got a chocolate iced coffee and while the girl told me she suggested an iced mocha instead, it was still worse than I expected it to be. The iced coffee doesnt have a lot of flavor and is very acidic, and the chocolate flavoring just wasnt there flavor wise. Id suggest they add a darker roast iced coffee and a richer chocolate flavoring. However, no complaints as far as customer service goes. They could lay off on all the woke signs they have upfront, but I guess they gotta show how woke of a company they are.
Got the coco Rosie. Tasted like sweet, delicious perfume. Definitely recommend.
Im a fan of this coffee shop! I came here to study on a not so busy weekday morning. Calm atmosphere which I prefer (compared to busy crowded coffee shops with loud music playing). The seating areas were also pretty comfy too. This location serves light snacks like yogurt, fruit and toast. I had a peach iced tea and the toast with cinnamon and sugar. That particular toast is definitely for those with a sweet tooth! I did like it, and they are very generous with the spread so I took some off and it was still just as flavorful. Ill definitely come back to try more of their coffees next time!
Good and fast normally does not go together, but here you had a team that works together without a slip in quality. Ordered a cappuccino with whole milk, sat at the window bar top area, read my book, and enjoyed watching busy life happening around me. I ordered a second cappuccino to see if they would deliver a similar product and I was not disappointed! Parking is easy and food places all around you. Badas_ liquor/ package store across the parking lot too!
Love their toast! So filling and they do not shy away from giving you enough toppings.
Love the Covid friendly vibes with the garage door open. Coffee is always good and the staff is always friendly.
This cafe carries several brands of coffee around America. I saw some Four Barrel Coffee (CA) and George Howell (MA).The menu is quite limited which is a very good indicator of quality.I had the Four Barrel Los Yuc as a pourover. Incredibly smooth, smells fruity, tastes fruitier, and very easy to drink. The drinks and dishes are served in a no-fuss non-pretentious way which I appreciate. Its small but very bright inside. Will definitely be coming again to try other drinks.
Spiller Park has been my go to coffee shop in my neighborhood for a few years now. The team at Spiller always go the extra mile to welcome me during each visit, whether its a busy day or a rainy chilly day. The food and drinks are always tasty, but the community they build is what stands out amongst the coffee shops in North Druid Hills.
I was impressed with my shake, shake iced latte (I added caramel to it). It was great and not too sweet, but also not over the top strong either. I ordered avocado toast with a sunny side egg on top. The thick sourdough was perfect. Love this plaza as well.
Awesome coffee, great service. Corey is awesome and always helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly.
Open and making great drinks during covid. The inside is closed but they have a safe setup with a lot of seating for the short wait to get your order
Confused as you why the hot tea is 6 dollars, but my bf loves your coffee
Delicious joe. Friendly folks.
Always delicious. Coffee, tea, toast with toppings. Yum.
Have had a few drink and food items, all were exceptionally good.
This place is incredible. I love the coffee and the staff. Always friendly and helpful. I love their pour-over coffee but every time I’ve branched out I’ve been surprised with how good it is.... I love the mocha...my only wish is I could have more!
Like the coffee, and the muffins are to die for. Always come here
Constantly busy that should give you somewhat of an idea about this place comfortable and i just love ow the really utilize the outside in this pandemic time.
The coffee is solid and the toast with apple butter jam is awesome! Also, the location is great, lots of outdoor seating.
I had an unpleasant experience in there on Sunday, Dec. 8. I noticed in the menu they had a small “ad” saying they wanted cafes. I kept wondering what they meant by that. Were they collecting vintage coffee makers, perhaps to display? I finally asked the young woman behind the counter and she just said, “It’s a joke. You know. A joke.” It didn’t make much sense to me (and I have a master’s in communication!) so I just turned to go back and sit down w my girlfriend. I then heard the Spiller employee making fun of me to others behind the counter. They had a good laugh at my expense while I felt mortified in that small, public environment. When I sat back down w my friend—who had also wondered what the little ad meant—she said she heard the girl talking about how stupid I was to ask that. My girlfriend said, “Let’s go,” so we left and I don’t plan to go back.
Good coffee but man I really dont understand the toasts. Tried cinnamon sugar and the lox and rye. How can they nake toast, which is normally one of the most pleasurable things in life dry and lacking flavor. But coffee was super good and the service and the people are fantastic.
Getting better all the time. I only wish that Bagel Palace would reopen here..
Why does my chicken taste spoiled? And when I called it was like oh well!! I will never come back there and will never send anyone there. Watch out people in these times they are selling no good meat because their sales are down, please be safe!! Better hope I dont get sick for the little I did eat, meat taste spoiled
Excellent coffee and beverages--the menu allows you to be as complicated or simple as youd like. I particularly enjoy the effort put into crafting the menu! There are rotating/season herbal-based additions to coffee or other beverages. They clearly put a lot of care and experimentation into the menu and were open to my wish-list suggestions (: I most recently got the rose infused warm coconut milk item and loved it!
One of my favorite spots for coffee! Always great service!
Ditch your cookie cutter chain coffee shop and take a well worth it trip to Spiller Park Coffee TOCO. There are hundreds of coffee shops in the Atlanta Metro area but this one wins a spot in my top 5 list. Location is truly unique (tons of lighting) and offers a great vibe for social interaction with a friend or some alone to time to study and get things done. GREAT outdoor seating in a newly remodeled shopping center. Their coffee is great and they offer a unique blend of brewed coffees, espressos and iced coffee mixtures. They even offer a great variety of tea but I am not a tea dude. The winning ticket for Spiller Park TOCO, and I am not sure if they offer this at other locations, is their food. Unreal flavors with seemingly simple and healthy conscious items (toasted bread combos and one of a kind spin on breakfast staples). I highly recommend the Toast w. Avo Egg. It. Is. BOMB. Pay them a visit for a Taste of Greatness.
They got b&w roasters on espresso. Nuff said. Get you the best coffee in the area ASAP
Cavalier sorta dont care attitude. I am Habesha, meaning my family roasts authentic locally sourced beans from scratch (minus the appropriation). I certainly wasnt expecting this level of quality. That said, decent coffee. Struggle food. Sometimey hours. Sometimey meaning they clearly say 5 but shut down before then. Or one staffer will cite one cutoff for an offering and then another will cite a different cutoff. I dont see a real need to pay Starbucks prices for a QuikTrip take it or leave it attitude. Definitely not feeling the warm & fuzzys about this not-so mom & pop customer experience. If not for the service, Id definitely give them a 3.5. In summary: Meh.
Superb customer service and delicious food and drink options. The avocado toast is delectable. Mmmm... Good! Sorry no photo because I ate it so fast. Also try the Iced Northern Lights tea.
Great selections of coffee and a friendly staff. They are very knowledgeable of all of their available beans. I would highly recommend their pour over as well as their espresso.
At first, I really liked this coffee shop. It had a great atmosphere and the coffee was fantastic. While most of the staff are very nice and the coffee is still very good on my last visit, one staff member was so rude to me that I will not be returning again. I ran into two of my friends at the coffee shop, and said hi, however, I had work to do and wanted to sit at a separate table so I could do my work. However, the person working the kitchen/Bar(the hole in the wall) told me that I cant sit where I wanted to sit because my friends were already sitting at another table and I couldnt sit separately from them because Id be occupying an extra table. This was extremely rude, unprofessional, and uncalled for. Perhaps if he had explained why, and I understand why, and said it in a nice way, asking me to do so so that he would have more empty places in his coffee shop I would have considered it. But his commanding tone made me very disappointed in this establishment.
The first time I went 3 weeks ago I had a 5 star experience! The Fruit N Moo was delicious & the atmosphere was nice. I’ve tried going back twice now. Last week there wasn’t a space to sit where I could access an outlet. Lack of outlets is somewhat frustrating. Might be nice to offer an extension cord or something in the future for the dead mans land tables in the middle of the store. This week I went & the store smelled really awful. I also paid 6.20 for a SMALL mocha, & honestly it doesn’t taste very worth it. I’m disappointed bc I initially had such a wonderful experience when I was there at a less busy time. But I guess i’ll have to continue shopping around coffee shops in this area.
I love this place because they make good, simple coffee at a reasonable price. While the menu may seem limited to those accustomed to a Starbucks-level of options, everything on there is fantastic and well-made. Plus they make some amazing toast. If youre looking for a delightful, local coffee joint, then youve found the right place.
Good coffee and giant toast.Just came across this place. Basically coffee is the product supplemented by a small menu of toast with various spreads. The toast is about double the thickness of a typical slice of bread and the topping is generous. looks all freshly made. Prices are reasonable and it was busy. Still at these prices for the quality not sure how long it will be here. In other words expenses look too high relative to the price. The coffee comes in all the upscale variations you might expect. Pour overs and a variety of roasts etc. So I would say walk across the street from the Starbucks and check this out.
The food and coffee are always great when I visit. I love the avocado toast (judge all you want, it is DELICIOUS), the blueberry muffin, and every coffee drink. Really good quality. It takes longer than Id like, but I will absolutely wait for it because I know Ill get high quality. And the staff are always really nice, knowledgeable, and friendly.
Excellent coffee and beverages--the menu allows you to be as complicated or simple as youd like. I particularly enjoy the effort put into crafting the menu! The ambience they provide is awesome
Great coffee, less so on the customer service side. Usually great / friendly, today not so much. Sorry to interrupt the counter person’s conversation.
I love supporting local businesses and will continue to do so, but this one didn’t hit the mark. Went on a weekend and the place was packed... took over 20 minutes to get an iced latte. Ordered the avocado toast, which was beautifully presented, and the first few bites were amazing. Passed that, it was WAY too salty. Not cheap, but I don’t mind paying a little extra for quality and local. Coin toss if I go back again.
Love this place! Great service with an awesome team! My favorites are the Shake Shake and they have the best avocado toast In town. Highly recommend
Not my favorite
Nice place and great customer service. I wasnt a fan of the coffee nor the price. It just didnt taste good to me. It was lukewarm when I received it and the taste was awful even when I attempted to add some sugar to it. Since it was my first time I may attempt one more time and hopefully give a better review!!
Friendly staff. Good sunlight into the cafe and a nice patio. Plenty of seating. Friend used their own travel mug had no problem getting their drink in it. Everybody should bring their own cup!
Great coffee and food. Not rated 5 stars because of a lack of seating on the weekend. How can I enjoy my coffee and food without proper seating? All of the tables for 2 on the weekend will be occupied by 1 person on their laptop, so there’s no where to sit and eat. I understand this is a popular thing to do at a fast drink/food joint like Starbucks, but for a place that provides cooked to-order food and coffee in a mug, laptops really shouldnt be crowding the place. There’s plenty of space outside to put actual tables and chairs, and would solve this issue. That or turning off public wifi?
Coffee smells n tastes good.
The SHAKSHUKA ROCKS and love the COCO SIPPER too! To top it off, onsistent, friendly, customer service makes every visit enjoyable.
I love the way the espresso tastes at this coffee shop. Ive found it hard to find a good coffee shop that actually has delicious and creamy espresso that can stand on its own. Spiller Park nails it, and I will always stop here if Im in the area!
Tried a new coffee shop this morning. My friends said the coffee was good but I enjoyed the yogurt parfait. The sunny side up egg over toast with advocado was delicious! I definitely would recommend that. Great location in Toco Hills and friendly staff. .... and it appeared that they took Apple Pay and Android Pay from the way the register looked. Thats a big plus to me. Yogurt and mobile payments, woohoo! 🙌
I was disappointed in the very tart, bitter pour-over :( it smelled good but the taste was more burnt than Starbucks. (In hindsight I could’ve asked if these were super dark roasted beans or something)
One of the only independent coffee shops in its location and it’s surrounded by Starbucks. It’s a small shop and close to Emory so finding seating inside can be a challenge unless you get there very early. There is usually seating outside however. It’s also pretty expensive for coffee and food. Service is amazing however.
LOVE this location. Really cool decor and love seeing more of the brand in action. Its way more calm and my favorite coffee spot in Atlanta. Always great service as well!
So relaxing to walk in flip flops, grab a cup a tasty coffee and sit under a sweet giant umbrella. It doesn’t get better. Try it & soon you’ll enjoy a real coffee experience
I just come by for a meeting outside with cover from the sun. To keep cool
Not too sure how folks can get so cliche and arrogant. Not too sure how a coffee house can get this complex in its offering. Had a horrible experience that cost way too much for a simple cup of coffee. In addition to the help complaining because I left not tip, all the 20-something staff could think of playing was rap music on a Sunday afternoon. Maybe as a Boomer, I just fit into the Druid Hills hood... but last time I looked, its the Boomers that have the money to spend. Suggestion ... go someplace else... even that Third Place coffee (Starbucks) is in the here and now more than this out there cliche.
First time trying this spot out today. I liked it a lot! Friendly employees really holding their own to a very full place. Every indoor table was occupied. Love the outdoor seating right there. It was a gorgeous morning so they had their garage door open; as it was my first time there, I didn’t know any differently, so I’ll be interested to see what it’s like when the big door is rolled down. I didn’t give 5 stars because I am still gathering my opinion on a few things. One thing that legitimately bothered me was that their menu was this very small, understated folded booklet that blended into its display stand. I had to get all the way to register before finding out about the menu booklet, which again was pretty small, and the font size was also small. A menu board would be a great addition, and I hope there’s a large font booklet for the visually impaired readers. Perhaps there was a menu board there and I didn’t see it? It seemed to slow up the line with everyone having to get to the counter to learn about where the menu was and then peruse it while others waited in line for me to place my order. Once I found the menu though, I was happy to see so many options. I am so happy I opted for the Avo Egg toast. It was delicious, so freshly flavored with lime in the avocado set on top of the chili sauce spread across the toast. It was also beautifully presented. I never take pics of my food but I just had to today. I’d post it but it looks exactly like the ones the other reviewers posted - so it’s consistent! My coffee was great, too. The crowd was predominantly telecommuters and I overheard at least three job interviews and what seemed to be a performance review. It felt like I was in a cool brunch place in Williamsburg. Ice coffee served in a stout Mason jar with a stainless steel straw. I was happy they had a water station. I hope they do well here as it’s nice to have a non-chain option here, and it’s so well situated and great looking. Worth checking out!
Great place to meet friends for a fancy cup of coffee and tasty toast or muffin. Coffee is strong and service is friendly and efficient. Be prepared to pay a little more, but its worth it.☕
Lots of seating and outlets! My barista was super friendly and my oat milk latte was delish. Loved working from here for a couple hours!
Overpriced. First you cannot choose different sizes, they have only one size for latte or cappuccino. Second, $24 for 12oz of coffee from El Salvador? Are you kidding me? I don’t mind pretentious coffee places. I actually like Dancing Goats and Octane but this place is just pretentious. Plus it is the only place where you get 3 tipping options 15% 20% 25%. Perhaps they could pay their employees better, and their farmers instead of posing as fair traders
Love this place. Super friendly staff. Great coffee, chai and avocado toast. Great music. Have gotten so much work done here today. This place rocks!
First of all, its not a bad place. Its hip. Nice vibes. Cool. Airy. Its a millennial paradise if you dig that kind of thing. It definitely fills a gap in the lack of coffee shops in the area. I went to study. No good for that. Too loud. Not enough outlets for laptops. Its nice for meeting a friend for coffee. Its nice for a coffee date (you know what I mean) if you want to impress them with $4-7 fancy cream cheese and fruit of the day toast. Everything about the place and the food is Instagram worthy. And youre going to pay for it. You might like it, and its not inherently bad. Not really my speed.Oh, and get there early if you want to eat anything other than toast. There are a lot of toast options, but little else and they run out of those things. But never toast. There seems to always be toast. $7 toast.
My main complaint is about the unhygienic practice of the server bringing you a napkin with your order. It might seem like a customer-friendly thing to do, but I don’t want someone else’s hands picking up my napkin, then handling it again when brought to me. I know of no other coffee shop that doesn’t provide a napkin dispenser where the customer can get a napkin that hasn’t been handled by another person. I have enjoyed their lattes several times, but today it was served almost lukewarm. More consistency please.
Really yummy avocado toast. Coffee is very tasty also.
Friendly and quality-focused coffee shop! Like their original Ponce City Market location, their coffee selections are always changing, making every visit a chance to try something new. Drinks include pour overs, espresso drinks, batch brewed coffee, some of which can be made cold. They also serve toast-type foods.
The restroom here is nicer than the one in my own home! And it smells great! Haven’t had any of there food or drinks yet
Bulk coffee buyers who want to sample specialty coffee from around America, consider this a destination for Intelligentsia, George Howell, and the like.
Great coffee, fun vibe and the staff are always friendly!
Great avo egg toast and iced coffee of the day! Nice space, love all the open air and natural light. Will be coming here again!
Great coffee. Everything (for example, the syrups) are all made on site. Staff are friendly and the environment relaxing. Only draw back is the size of the cup - to small.
Love love LOVE their avocado toast!! Out of th few places I’ve tried in the Atlanta area, this one’s by far my favorite! Only reason I’m giving 4 stars rather than 5, is because it did take quite awhile to get it, though it was pretty worth it in the end!
Great café. The coffee here is delicious. The espresso can be ordered either as a house blend or single origin. The coffee has a great soft bitterness and dark chocolate notes. Whether you come here for egg and avocado toast with a cappuccino for a weekend breakfast or to get coffee to go on a break from work, this place is excellent.
This palace is incredible very inviting n everyone is very mannerable an there coffe is very blissful
