1 Star for Google being far far behind business isnt open anymore and no directions at location for a relocated shop anymore. Yet Google wants to say theyre still open, I suppose Google doesnt know it all anymore!
Shop did not open up on time. It says on Google it opens at 11am but on the door it says 1pm. I waited after 1pm and nobody opened the shop. I had to Uber to get my bike to the shop and it ended up being a dead end.
Great customer service. I will be a return customer for my bike needs.
Ive definitely found my new bike shop. Erin worked on my bike, first to true a set of wheels and then to put on a new set of wheels and tires. He is super easy to work with, answered the questions I had about choosing a new set of wheels and tires, and the bike is looking and working great so far!
I got hit by some woman in a black car over a week ago. Completely destroyed the rear bike wheel. I didnt have the money to pay the amount that the company that made the bike wanted me to pay for just the wheel, which would have been well over 100 bucks for just the wheel, not including the tire or service that needed to be done.I heard about this place from a friend and had him check out my bike. He not only completely replaced the wheel but replaced the wheel, cleaned up the bike, set it so that it would be more easily adjust to my height and gave it a complete cleaning and scrub job for 100 bucks.Definitely recommend. It rides better than before and feels better to ride.
Nice folks, good service, prices in line with other bike shops and using contact-free dropoff and pickup in Castleberry Hill. Parking is an issue as its very tight in the area. Will use them again.
Stop going to the big guys and try this place. You will quickly understand why he has a perfect 5 Star rating on google!I have lived in Atlanta my entire life and I have been biking since 2005. I have been to a dozen different bike shops including Peachtree Bikes, Westside Bikes, Atlanta Cycling, etc. and have never had a nice experience until I found Scott at Atlanta Bike Tech. Every other bike shop I have walked into has younger, typically inexperienced staff whose goal it is to sell you on something - not at Atlanta Bike Tech!At Atlanta Bike Tech you step into a world where no job is too small or too large, tips and advice are free, and the mechanic is honest, and has decades of experience - its a rare and wonderful thing! Many items I have purchased at Atlanta Bike Tech I have looked up on amazon to be surprised that I actually saved on average 10-15% at Atlanta Bike Tech! The best part is the repairs. The quality of the repair is excellent, and you will pay an honest price because Scott is simply just a great guy. He does not up charge you on parts (virtually unheard of) and charges a very honest and affordable labor rate. Did I mention he does a great job too? What else could you ask for? Also unlike most other shops, Atlanta Bike Tech services every brand of bike. If you take a Target or Wal-Mart bike to Atlanta Cycling they will laugh you out of the store - I know this for fact as it happened to me. However, if you take it to Atlanta Bike Tech your bike will be treated to the same high standard as a $1,200 trek.Below is a list of bikes Scott at Atlanta Bike Tech has serviced and maintained for me.1970 Schwinn Delux Twinn Tandem1977 Schwinn LeTour1993 Trek 21002004 Trek Multitrack 71002006 Schwinn Hybrid2008 Specialized Globe2010 GT AvalancheRoad, Dirt, Hybrid, or Specialty - Chances are if you ride it, he can fix it right ;)
Erin was great. Most helpful.
Very nice owner. Took care of bike repair quickly and efficiently. Came in for tire repair. He checked the brakes, tighten all the nuts and bolts. I am one very happy customer. Very inexpensive.👍👍
That dude Erin is quite stellar at his job, quickly repairing my bike in time for me to hit the local time trials.
Well first off........BURP
Quick and easy service. Needed a flat tire repair. Very reasonable pricing as well.
The owner Scott is amazing. He always took care of any issue I had on my electric bike. Great service and very honest prices. Best bike shop in ATL
If you have a bike that needs to be fixed. Atlanta Bike Tech is a great place to do it. Scott(the owner) has been fixing bikes since he was 6, he is really nice guy and he knows how to get the job done
These guys are absolutely awesome. They are super helpful, know what theyre doing, have absolutely fantastic prices, and like to fix up things they notice might be wrong or wonky. Will for sure be back to see them for any of my bike needs.
When I moved back to Atlanta and my bike needed a tune up, I headed to Atlanta Bike Tech despite living walking distance to multiple bike shops in Midtown because the owner, Scott had fixed my bike years ago and I was so impressed by his service. Scott is passionate about bikes and will fix your bike quickly, for a great price, and with expertise. Bring cash and support this business!
Scott is an extremely competent bike technician with great service and warm disposition. Atlanta Bike Tech has become my preferred bike shop in the Atlanta area.If you are looking for a new bike, purchase it and bring it to school to be assembled and fitted. You wont be disappointed.
The owner serviced my tire, and I didnt have all the cash on me (its a cash-only business). He said just bring back the rest when you can. I thought that was so nice and old-fashioned. I of course brought him the balance, and Ill gladly do business here again.
I brought my sadly neglected TREK in for repair and reconditioning. Scott was fabulous! I could tell immediately he loved bikes and knew his business. He gave me an estimate, which by the way was about half of the so called best bike shop in Atlanta and I left Atlanta Bike Tech with the confidence I would be pleased with the results. When I picked my TREK up I discovered Scott not only repaired and reconditioned it, but he brought it pretty much back to the way it looked when I bought it. I cant express enough how happy I am with my new bike and Scott Walker of Atlanta Bike Tech.
Amazing shop, probably the best Ive experienced in Atlanta! Unbeatable prices, wonderful service. They truly care about you and your bike. Theyre open later and more often than the hours listed on Google, so just give them a call to check in with them.
Had to find new cones for an axle. Lots of other shops tried to get me to buy an entire new wheel, which was way more than I wanted to spend. Went to Scott at Atlanta Bike Tech - not only did he have the part that had been impossible for me to find, he gave them to me for free and in return just told me to come back any time I needed anything!!! Class act. Great bike shop. Ill definitely be back again.
The owner is very nice. Been there couple of times, very good work and know whats he doing. I would suggest anyone to go there, very inexpensive price as well for very good work.
Scott and his team at Atlanta Bike Tech are extremely helpful and resourceful. I recently needed to build out a carbon frame that I found extremely cheap. unfortunately I could not afford to build it out with new equipment. Scott personally helped me source used components that were in excellent condition. Additionally he was very generous with his time, tools and expertise. All of which allowed me to build a bike that I am very proud of and would not otherwise own.
Before purchasing a used bike, I wanted to have an expert inspect it to be sure it didnt have any hidden defects. I came to the right place. Scott inspected the bike for me at no cost, identified a few minor issues and fixed them on the spot. He was friendly, personable and knows his bikes inside and out.
I highly recommend Atlanta Bike Tech for all your bicycle repair needs. These guys are very knowledgeable and they run the type of bike shop where you dont feel like someone selling you. They care about doing a good job. My new-to-me Scott road bike was a purchased from these guys on consignment. The bike is freaking sweet and I feel like it was a great deal. When I cracked the carbon frame on it a couple of weeks ago, Atlanta Bike tech was able to do the carbon bike frame repair.
Scott is awesome!!He has an amazing heart and he is such a wonderful person. It is such a blessing to work with people who live, eat, and breathe what they love to do!! I can tell working with bikes is Scotts passion. He fixed my bike and it rides as if its brand new!! (My daughter hit my bike with her bike and the wheel was destroyed. I was told by another bike shop (across the street from Piedmont Park) in order to fix my bike he would have to assembly my whole bike from scratch. Not to mention, the other bike shop was very expensive. He was telling me, he might have to charge another fee if he find something else that need to be fix. The owner called me and said they were unable to fix my bike; before I took it back to the store I decided to give Atlanta Bike Tech a try. With that being said, Scott is a miracle worker!! Needless to say, my bike works better than when I bought it!!). Scott was very reasonable. He charged me $20, but I decided to give him $40, because he did an beyond AMAZING job on my bike! He even went far and beyond to tweak here and there on my bike. He was even kind enough to give me a water bottle that fit my bike. Scott will forever have my business. I am passing the word to all bikers I come across who need a bike or need their bike fix to go to Scott!! They will not be disappointed!!Thank you kindly Scott!!And I hope you feel better and have a speedy recovery!!Charlena
I love everything about this place: Scott - what a beautiful man and so helpful and caring! He really made sure my bike was super safe after fixing it, serviced the whole thing and charged me an amazing price!Great collection of bikes too, if youre looking for a bike. I will defo come back!
Awesome guy and awesome shop. A passionate of bikes in general.
Scott,Is a great mechanic and lovely guy. If anyone can help you, he can 👍😀
Excellent service and for faster and cheaper than you would expect. Very knowledgeable about older bikes and had era-matching parts for my bikes. Also cool selection of used bikes and new and used parts. Check em out!
5 out of 5 stars, Scott seems like a very nice guy and he had the bearings I needed for my headset on my ebike. He gave me a very good deal on the bearings, and I am grateful. Great guy. Please support this shop, it is the best bike shop I have been to in Atlanta.
Great service. Fixed all the small things on my bike without me having to ask or point them out. Total pro. Will definitely come back for any future repairs or service.
Scott at Atlanta Bike Service helped me get the tires I needed for my old bike super easily. He even gave me a student discount (Tech!). He knows his stuff and was easy going; nice to talk to. Cant wait to come back.
Scott is amazing! I went in to get a new tire for my old mountain bike, and only half an hour later the bikes in better shape than it was when Id bought it back in 2008. Ive never had such an incredibly friendly experience before. The places Ive been to in the past, they treated me like Im ignorant, but then they stripped my spokes and wanted to overcharge me for labor and parts. I was so hesitant to go in to another shop, I was going to just order a tire online, but the positive reviews I read convinced me to stop by and give Scott a chance. Im so glad that I went in to Atlanta Bike Tech, theyll definitely be having me as a customer again in the future!
Scott was awesome. He fixed my two bikes, one that had been sitting outdoors for two years and was bought off Craigslist and another that was bought from a garage sale. I really appreciate the time he took to fix my bikes and I didn’t even have to drop them off because it was so quick. I would definitely recommend anyone that is having problems with their bike or wants to buy a used, well taken care of bike, to go to Atlanta Bike Tech! He is not overpriced at all and he is an honest man who has a lifetime of experience. This man is truly passionate about what he does and that is fixing bikes!
Excellent service on really short notice! The price is unbeatable. This guy is a true gearhead and bike enthusiast. I’ll be going back to Scott whenever I need maintenance or service.
I took my Batavus here after being suggested from another bike shop. I needed a new 27 wheel, but the guys there didnt have anything for a bike that old. They suggested I go to Scott, who was more than helpful. He had exactly what I needed for a very affordable price. He was also very knowledgeable & quick with the repair. Definitely found the best place to take my bike from now on. Highly recommended.
Owner Scott is awesome and very helpful. Cost less to get my tire repaired here than other places. Highly recommend.
Still having issues with my bike after the tune up :’-(
Atlanta Bike Tech is amazing. Scott is definitely straight-forward, and no nonsense - but he saved me hundreds of dollars because he was the first bike mechanic Ive ever had who actually told me to stop spending repair money on my current bike.He got my bike a quick lube to get it rolling again (for free), and some solid advice about buying a used bike to fit my budget that would really last a while.Experienced, honest, super-skilled, and helpful - everything you actually need in a great local bike mechanic. Ill be going back, and telling every bike owner I know to go here.
Needed help with assembly and learning the basics on my new bike. Scott was extremely helpful, affordable and truly cared. Some of the best service I’ve had in years.
I showed up holding a ziplock bag with the remains of my rear axle. Mr. Walker knew what it was before I was even through the door. He fixed me a replacement and had me riding within the day. I know for a fact there are other bike shops in the area that will charge several times as much and take a day or two for a simpler repair. So I highly recommend Atlanta Bike Tech.
6 STARS: Scott and Richard greatly exceeded my expectations when I brought in my road bike for a tune-up. They have very competitive prices and Im convinced there isnt better customer service in the Atlanta area. I value compassion and integrity highly and for that reason I will never go anywhere else for my cycling needs. ATL Bike Tech is the best!
I took my newly purchased used bike to Scott and he did a great job putting it together, servicing what needed to be done and letting me know what may need to be done in the future. The cost is very reasonable and he is fast. Easy to work with, flexible, and convenient.
Brought in two wheels to be rebuilt. They were extremely difficult to build and Scott was a little late, BUT he was very upfront with me the whole time and kept me updated throughout the entire process. His prices were very competitive and he even threw me and a few other spare parts for cheap since he was late on the wheels. The wheels came out fantastic, they ride like a dream, and even though they were powdercoated I received them in the exact same condition that I gave to him. Perfect. A very nice guy, would definitely go to him again.
We have taken 3 bikes there with great results. 1 was to be repaired, and the other two were for assembly. Scott is very nice and always willing to give you advice that saves you money. This a great neighborhood shop.
Scott was super nice! Hooked me up with a great deal on a tune up of a bike that had been sitting in my garage for over a year.
Great experience! Fast and fair service. My derailleur was adjusted and I was in and out in just a few minutes. I would definitely recommend and will return. Thanks!
Scott is friendly and very knowledgeable. I bought a road bike from him at a great price and I have been very pleased with it and his service. I told him what I was looking for and he matched me up with the perfect bike.
Best bike mechanic in Atlanta. Scott, the man who runs the store, is passionate about bikes and is looking to save his customers money. This shop is significantly cheaper than any other shops in Atlanta and you are not sacrificing quality for the price you pay. I suggest this place to anyone who is looking for their bike to be worked on.
Scott is the best mechanic east of the Pacific. If you own a bike, it’s broken, and you’d like it fixed properly? Atlanta Bike Tech is the place.
Bought a used bike and brought it here because the tire wouldnt inflate. Owner let us in after hours and repaired it (as well as did some other tune ups) in less than a day. Super affordable and easy experience overall. Only bike shop Ill be visiting from now on!
Great place for repairs. Scott is friendly and affordable and trustworthy. He likes cash.
Fantastic service! The owner Scott was extremely helpful and informative, he really knows his stuff. He was very knowledgeable in assisting me to select a bicycle, even showing me products on the internet from other sources that he recommend I might buy from. I would definitely recommend his shop and services to anyone in need of anything bicycle related.I purchased a bicycle and he asked me to ride it for a week and then bring it back for a free tune-up to make any adjustments necessary to improve my riding experience. He even did a little extra work on it and provided new parts free of charge to ensure I had a quality, reliable bicycle!!Pass along the good word of ATLANTA BIKE TECH!!! Great place, great service, great product!
Friendly fast help with bike maintenance. Aaron had me on my way in 5 minutes.
Going into this I expected to be overcharged for bike repairs I may or may not have actually needed. My expectations were wonderfully disproven from the moment I walked in. Not only was my bike fixed for a steal, but Scott was extremely courteous and I got my bike back the same day (originally quoted for the next day). I would highly recommend Atlanta Bike Tech to anyone, as I know Ill be returning for any future bicycle needs.
Great store! The owner, Scott, has forty years of experience and it shows! Come here for high quality, and friendly service.
I brought in a damaged rear wheel for replacement. The staff was very helpful in getting me exactly what I needed quickly despite the holiday break. I couldnt recommend them more for bike repairs.
Super nice place. I absolutely recommend Atlanta Bike Tech. I brought in an old beater bike from Costco which I had attempted (and failed) to repair. Scott fixed this bad boy up in record time and now Im taking it for spins on the daily. Thank you Atlanta Bike Tech!
Great work, honest business.
What a wonderful place! Scott is incredibly kind and knowledgable, offered repair services at half the price of other estimates, was able to help me very quickly when I had a time crunch, gave me a free water bottle, bottle holder and velcro strap for my car carrier, and was a pleasure to talk bikes with. Im a customer for life.
Super fast service and good price!
Scott is the most knowledgeable bike person Ive come across in all of Atlanta and the perimeter bike shops. Six years ago when I first moved here, I literally gave almost every bike shop a try and was so disappointed by their work on my bikes, that I decided my only option was to drive 8hrs back to NOLA to let my old bike shop work on my bikes. Then I heard about Scott. Problems solved! I trust him HANDS DOWN with all of my bikes! Hes been working on my bikes for over 5yrs and has given me peace of mind. Simply the best!
Scott is VERY knowledgeable and does a GREAT job. He is a nice guy and very reasonable and I will be going here for all of my bike stuff from now on.
Great prices and service. He put on new brake pads with no extra charge
Im a novice when it comes to bikes, but I learn a lot about my purchase from a online seller, Atlanta Bike Tech took the time to help me with a new handle Bar extention and a better seat which is more comfortable than the one that came with the bike, I highly recommend them for service and cost .
This best and most knowledgeable bike mechanic (and bicycle guru!) in Atlanta. Scott is the best.
Unbelievable. Picked up and delivered same day and my bike is riding like a different machine. Phenomenal service and really nice guy.
Best bike shop Ive been to. Excellent customer service and great workmanship. Highly recommended.
I tried to go on Saturday, 12/30 after website said they were open. When I got there store at 11a they were closed even though handwritteb note on door said they would be open 10-3 that day. Also tried calling number that was listed with no answer and message saying mailbox was full.
Very cool shop. Authentic bike guys that know their stuff, provide high quality service and have great selection of new and some exceptional vintage inventory.
Best price in town and good service. He assembled my Costco bike in few hours and delivered on the same day.
These guys are awesome knowledgeable friendly and always helpful 5 stars for sure
Scott is the man, the work he did to restore my mid 80s Bianchi road bike was superb, I couldnt be happier. Very budget friendly too. Cant recommend ATL bike tech enough.
I’m from out of state and broke my chain riding on BeltLine. I read the reviews and figured I’d bring my bike here to get fixed. When I walked in all I heard was a voice coming from the back. As I approached the gentleman (not in a friendly voice at all) asked what I needed and said rather gruffly it wouldn’t be fixed today. All I wanted was a chain that I could have put on myself. Long story, short version I proceeded to walk out with him behind me asking that I don’t leave
Great shop, Richard was a huge help and got my bike worked and ready to go in less than a few hours. Fair rates as well, highly recommended.
Fast, friendly and did great work. Needed my bike fixed up and am very happy I went here.
Great experience, fantastic prices and most importantly really friendly place :) Highly recommend Atlanta Bike Tech!
I saw this as a local bike shop on Google and decided to visit after seeing the numerous 5 star ratings. Im really glad that I did. I actually really like the place just because of Scott, hes an OG bike mechanic whos been working on bikes for 50+ years - he was telling me stories about how hes personally met and spent time with people like Ernesto Colnago and Mike Sinyard (and hell also tell you that theyre both a**holes haha).Overall my impression of Scott is that he is genuinely a very good bike mechanic and has a solid character, and though I dont know much about his shop other than the basics, Im confident in saying that they must be great too. I think from now on Ill be switching to Atlanta bike tech.
Incredible, fast service and amazing prices.
Scott is a friendly guy. He is excellent with repairs and is happy to explain to you what he is doing while he works.
I managed to hit something about the size of a watermellon about 2 miles from ABT. I realized I was getting a flat about .1 miles past it. I stopped at the liquor store and fixed my flat. A gentleman told me If you need help - Scott will fix you up! I was 10 miles into a 70 mile ride and didnt want to run lower pressure for 4 hours - so I rolled back and asked for a spot of assistance. I didnt need much, but man - those guys were on it. Let me help you. A quick glance of the shop, a chat with the owner and a a few strokes of a pump - I was back on the road. The selection of stuff looked good, the personality of the shop was awesome. Id NEVER hesitate to stop at this place again! A true quality LBS!
Fantastic experience today. Very trusting, honest, and fast.
Scott Walker is an excellent mechanic. I have come in with issues with internal hubs and front deraileurs and he always fixes it right the first time.
Friendly service and unbeatable price. Even trusted me to leave after the service to get cash the first time I went here.
The one bad recent review... There were two customers ahead of this man and I had two projects in the stand ahead of them he seemed like wanted immediate attention... not fair to the other customers ahead of him...As always saturdays are very busy and I am a one man shop i..I told him probably not today....he never just asked to buy the part so he could do it himself..I could have helped him....I asked him to come back so I could help him later...sure I can be gruff and crusty... thats just who I am...
Excellent service!! 100% recommended!
Im from Minneapolis, where bikes probably outnumber cars, so my standards coming into this were pretty high.He knocked it out of the park.I handed him a bike that had been neglected for 6 years, had sat outside through an entire Minnesota winter, a bike that I was basically ready to scrap. He turns it around in 2 days (quoted 3), and this thing is riding like its new. He did the whole job for what I reckon the parts alone would have cost anywhere else.Dont hesitate to take your business here.Very glad I ignored the completely unhelpful rude rude rude review. What a waste of space.
Very fast and excellent service.
Dont normally write reviews but loved this place. Any bike repairs or services you need come here and you will not be disappointed!
Quick and direct service on my flat tired bike with a reasonable price! why not five stars?
Scotts one the best bike mechanics Ive ever met. He wont try to sell you anything you dont need and he is always honest with his customers. 6 stars
Straight forward bike shop with great prices
Was told the bike needed $200 dollars of repairs at another place. Was fixed here for 20 dollars
Good, fast service and friendly staff
The best bike repair shop in Atlanta.
The best people in the world
Great Service!!!!!...basically fixed my entire bike(break pads, seat, back axel/wheel), replaced expensive parts, and finished in one day all for a measly $45
