Impressive stock, especially considering the supply shortage right now. Gravel Bikes and Commuters are in high demand right now, and their prices still manage to compete fiercely even with what youll find on the internet. This place is the real deal if you want to take your money somewhere local for a quality ride.
Great shop and knowledgeable staff. Bought my Kona here and they were helpful. Have come here for service many times over the years and have gotten a lot of reliable and candid advice.
Atlanta Pro Bikes is the best. I’ve bought two Konas from them, and the process was easy. I just went in for my one-year tuneup, and my bike feels brand new! They also got it tuned up quickly so I could get it back before a trip. Quality bikes, great shop!
Went there a couple times for gear/tire repairs and they were always quick and helpful - would definitely recommend!
The folks were incredibly helpful when I brought my bike in needing an adjustment. I later brought a friend here with a bike problem and he received the same great service. This is a great bike shop and everyone I’ve interacted with here have been great. I live in midtown and I could walk my bike to a shop that’s near Piedmont and Cheshire Bridge. However, that midtown bike shop told me on the phone they are not servicing bikes, and I’m glad I found Atlanta Pro Bikes.
After seeking help with a vintage bike from 5 other popular Atlanta shops to no avail, the OWNER answered the phone, advised me to bring it on in AND guaranteed he would take care of me. Fully ready to call his bluff i took the bike the 40+ minute drive to this shop. John, the master mechanic simply did not take no for an answer and literally made a bottom bracket tool to extract the 30+ year old bottom bracket. Upon removal we found a Phil Wood bottom bracket with proprietary parts. This is what stumped all the other shops. Very impressive bit of tenacity with these guys. Go there if you need anything done RIGHT!!
I went in for some accessories for a BMX bike, and left with a new Evo 7 speed city cruiser. The price was right, and they gave me a used part I needed for my BMX for free because they didnt have a brand new one in stock.I rode my Evo around for 24 hours and tried to add 2 water bottle cages. Only 1 installed properly, while the other one had an issue with the hex screw coming out of the frame. It just spun, instead of unscrewed. I called the guys, they said come by, and they had it fixed within 2 hours.I will always try to support local businesses first.
Smaller shop but fantastic workers. Have taken my bike there on two different occasions in the past week and theyre quick workers and amazing. Service is cheaper than Outback Bikes at little five. Easier to park on North Highland Ave too.
Once the pandemic started, I took up cycling to pass the time and stay in shape. APB set me up with a Kona NRB Rove and Ive been happily pedaling ever since. From the community centered ownership to the knowledgeable mechanics, APB truly stands out as a quality establishment. I routinely visit for tune ups and bike accessories. Ive never left disappointed!
Great staff, an abundance of bike knowledge and high quality service. Going here for all your bike needs is a NO BRAINER
Brought a pretty broken bike looking to see if I could fix it up and have it be rideable. They convinced me it would be no problem just cost $150 to get it working again so I paid up and when i went to pick it up it still barely worked. Now I have an unusable bike and I’m out some cash, definitely got hustled. Also none of them were wearing masks.
Went in expecting to buy a new wheel to fix the shimmy in my front tire. They tightened all the spokes for $15, a short wait, and problem went away. They also maintain good COVID practices all while being very kind and customer-focused. I would definitely recommend.
Took my newly acquired 80s Fuji in for a tune-up and received excellent service. I dropped the bike off the day before my appointment date and it was ready for pickup by EOD.Paul and the rest of the team were incredibly friendly and answered all of my questions. I was able to purchase a helmet, bike pump, and ulock when I picked up my bike. So happy this business is right in the neighborhood. I will definitely be back and would recommend them to anyone needing their services.
Number #1 bike 🚲 shop in Atlanta ! We came in at 5:40 and needed some emergency work done because my boyfriend depends heavily on his bike so it was a big deal, he took us in right away and got us done in 20 mins. Everyone was so helpful and nice, and friendly too..
Bike repairs were well done, in a timely manner and priced fairly. I have a new bike shop.
Incredible customer service :))support this local shop !
Great shop. Highly knowledgeable and really went the extra effort to repair my bike quickly. Thanks!
Bought a bike from them about a month ago. I went to a few bike shops in the area, and they were very knowledgeable, with great service. The best thing is that my purchase came with one year service warranty, so you can bring in for the first year if there are any issues and theyll look at your bike for free. Also, you get two free bike tune ups at 6 and 12 months. I wouldnt go anywhere else!
If I could give no stars I would. Called ahead for a specific part & was told that it was in stock. Traveled quite a distance only to find out once I arrived, that said part was not indeed in stock. My time, energy, & effort was totally wasted.
This place is great! Friendly, efficient and quick when it comes to fixing your bike!
I wanted to get a new tube since my back tire was deflated. He said I didnt need a new one so he put air in the tire. Charged me $10.I drove 40 min away excited about my bike ride but when I got there, the tire was deflated.I had to drive all the way back. It was my day off and that was a huge bummer. They supposedly refunded me but they just charged me twice instead.I called, they gave me a refund but told me to never to come back.I was not rude once.
Awesome service experience. Helped me out in a pinch w/ a disc brake service when I couldnt bleed my brakes @ home. Ill be able to ride the trails tomorrow AM as planned this wkd instead of waiting 10 days for simple service @ competing bikes shops! Super appreciative of their professionalism and working with me for same day turnaround. 6 stars. RM Altitude PowerPlay.
I went to this shop thinking my bike would be checked and worked on over a couple of days. So the mechanic explained to me what was wrong and fixed it over night. Thanks to their quick turn around I was riding my bike the next day.
I tried to call and ask about used bikes, they rudely said no and hung up on me before I could ask any other questions. Would never buy a bike from someone who cant simply have good customer service. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
After a very very disappointing experience at Bike South we were greeted with enthusiasm and knowledge at Atlanta Pro Bikes. They knew exactly what we needed but didnt have it in stock, they put in a special order for us and didnt even make us prepay for it. They also took the time to educate us on a few other things. We got a courtesy call one business day later (we were there on a Sunday) to let us know our order had arrived.Went to go pick up our part which was ready and waiting and exactly what we wanted. We will definitely be back for all our future bike needs. Everyone was amazing and we love this place!
The crew here is always very helpful. I live out of state, but am in Atlanta frequently, and occasionally forget something or need a tube. I both work in a bicycle shop as a mechanic, and own and run my own smaller business in the cycling industry and these guys get it. Their pricing is fair and they have a staff of talented mechanics and a good crew working the front of the shop. Theyre willing to answer questions about where to ride and talk a little bit of shop. Even if youre not necessarily there to buy a high dollar bike, they are friendly and helpful with reasonable prices on service that are good for both sides. They seem willing to help make cyclists, not just make sales.
Great experience !!!Rented bikes for the Marathon weekend. Called ahead and had a great conversation, learned what kind of bikes, and they gave us all the flexibility in the world.Rental day was incredible, the owner had everything set before we even walked in.If I lived in Atl, I’d definitely go back often !!!Paul, Mike ... all of us loved the day !!! THANKS !!
Very good group of guys willing to help you and educate you on first time purchases. I brought the kid I am mentoring with his broken bike and they serviced it. The customer service we experienced was what had me coming back a month later to buy my own bike. A lot of shops around Atlanta have good ratings but these guys really earn my 5 stars and appreciation. Thank you again!
This place is good for the soul and must endure. Kona bikes are sublime, and the dudes selling the bikes and working on them are grade A. APB was the source of a new bike for my son during this thing were all trying to get through and the bike was trans-formative. He was fairly inexperienced on two wheels, but he took to the Hula like it was custom built for him. Within about an hour of wobbling, he was killing it, with the biggest smile on his face, and dare I say, some swagger. For the first time ever, the notion of coming rain on Easter depressed him - because he wouldnt be able to go outside and ride instead of loafing around inside on screens. The guys at APB also accommodated me later in the day with an issue on another Kona we had purchased many years ago from them that was baffling me and threatening to knock me sideways off a really good buzz. Thank you, APB! Now we need to get my daughter set up.
Great place, great people, always get my questions answered and helped
Great shop. Great people. Would recommend.
I bought my first real mountain bike here a few months ago and was really pleased with the whole process. I was able to test ride multiple bikes to find the best fit for my needs and was encouraged to take my time when riding around the shop. The bike I really wanted to ride was a new model that they hadnt received yet, and they offered to call me when they got one in. Unlike most shops, they actually remembered to call, which I took to be a good sign. Even though I went home after my final test ride to mull over my decision, I never felt pressured to buy. I ended up going back the next day to get the bike, and Im so glad I did! Everybody was super helpful in answering my questions, and I felt well prepared after a setup and information session with one of the bike techs. I happily took advantage of the free tune-up after 30 days and they even cut my bars at no cost. Great folks here!
Top notch place! Great service and friendly atmosphere. Price is fair, but worth the results. Employees do not force you into buying anything and want to build a good rapport with customers.
Friendly staff answered a ton of my questions and I’m a bike geek So I ask difficult questions they was able to answer most of them course already knew the answer I was testing their knowledge there are incredibly knowledgeable
Hands down, the best service experience Ive had in a retail store anywhere. The owner and his staff are so incredibly friendly and customer focused. My partner bought me a bike for our first anniversary and after 2 months I was just not comfortable with it. Brought it in, they determined it was not the right bike for me, switched it out, changed the gear shift type, added other features-- and one week later called that my new bike was ready. No additional charge.Easy to see why so many glowing recommendations on this site. Dont waste time going anywhere else....
Friendly staff made quick work of my repair! Thank you
Love this shop. Friendly, knowledgeable, and dont talk down to you. Great place for beginners AND experienced cyclists. Good taste in bags and helmets, too.
Always a pleasant experience, staff is incredibly friendly and prices are super economical. Had a punctured tube and they even threw in the service for free. Simply great!
My go to bike shop in AtlantaLee (one of their mechanics) is by far my favorite mechanic in the city: super knowledgeable with a history in being a mechanic for race teams, earnest, and kind as can be. Not to mention he puts up with my cobbled, vintage Frankenstein bikes with mix-matched parts that produce existential levels of mechanical mysteryIf you get to know these guys and become a regular they will certainly treat you rightA community hub as well, a lot of people just come here to hang out
Atlanta Pro Bikes is a fantastic shop. I came in looking for a commuter bike and the staff allowed me to test ride a couple to see which I liked better. When I ended up finding a bike on Craigslist for a bit less, they were completely understanding about it. Ended up taking the bike in to them for a tune-up and I bought a helmet (which they helped me fit) lights, etc to outfit my new ride. The staff here are great; they treat you well and dont talk down to you even if youre a total bike noob like me. APB is going to be my #1 place for anything bike related going forward!
THIS BIKE SHOP IS AWESOME!! GREAT STAFF OF DOWN TO EARTH GUYS THAT DO NOT ACT LIKE YOUR NOT IN THE CLUB IF YOU ARE NEW TO BIKING. PATIENT AND HELPFUL. PERFECT SPOT IN VAHI. I BELIEVE THEY ARE ALSO RENTING BIKES!! SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES AND GIVE THEM A TRY, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
APB is an awesome one stop shop for bikes. They got everything you need to have an enjoyable bike ride. Excellent service and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Awesome place.
Great Service, Great Price, Great Guys.
These guys are great. I did not realize they were opening a shop in the neighborhood.Walked in and got a perfect solution for a bike problem I was having. Then we talked about some new gear I needed (helmet) and they ordered me the right size and color right there. Very cool. Thanks Paul and everyone for your help.
Awesome people with wonderful expertise, and great, affordable service.
Great shop in Virginia Highlands.Laid back no high pressure folks. This is the shop I go to.I recommend it highly.
Awesome experience everytime, these guys are pros. Always enjoy seeing one poor review, probably from the competition down the street. I couldn’t recommend these guys more.
Bad service. They don’t do what the client ask for and charge whatever they want.
I went there today - excellent service, exceptional price, and super fast turn-around time! I will go there from now on for any of my biking needs.
The best service and super friendly guys. Their selection of bikes is super rad too!
Prompt service while I waited. Friendly and courteous staff. I love standing around talking to those guys
Awesome bike shop, helpful staff, would definitely recommend
Great people, great used bikes if you’re looking to keep it affordable, and great service!
Just bought a Kona Hei Hei from here and service has been outstanding. Super friendly sales staff. Even gave my son a loaner bike to ride with me while I tested the Kona out. Stuff like that makes a difference. Really look forward to working with these guys in the future!Update - six months later... Service has been amazing. Went in with a broken crank arm on Sunday morning. Smashed into a rock up at Blankets Creek earlier that day. They said it would probably be 2-3 days to get it fixed. Here comes the great part - Im headed to Virginia on vacation in 2 days. I explain the situation. Gotta have my bike back before we go. I head home, get a call an hour later with an update. They have the part in stock, and it will be ready before they close at 5pm. Seriously great service. So glad I got my bike from these guys late last year.
It took me a year to decide what bike I was going to buy. Yes, I am the queen of paralysis by analysis. I went from bike shop to bike shop test riding bikes. Each time I circled back to Atlanta Pro Bikes, it made me more and more want to buy my bike from them. They are great guys who care more about the rider than the sale. I am fortunate they also sell killer bikes. In the end it came down to two bikes and I would be lying if I did not say that part of the reason I chose the Kona Rove ST was bc of the level of service at Atlanta Pro Bikes.
Awesome people! Great location! and a nice selection of bikes. Go check APB out!!
Very helpful, very friendly. Great in town bike shop.
I have tried almost every bike shop around and these guys were by far the best quality and best service I have seen.
Great tunes and service.
What a great addition to the Virginia Highlands neighborhood.Great location, friendly staff and amazing service.
Such a cool spot! Vriginia Highlands has been way past due for a quality bike shop. The guys in there are great. Funny, friendly, and really know what theyre doing when it comes to every type of bike. Im also a huge Kona fan so Im glad to see a major carrier of the brand, as Atlanta has been lacking in Kona dealers. My new favorite spot!
Disappointed by the service here. Mechanics seemed uninterested in maintaining their agreed schedule and were not ready to complete the repairs when biked was finally picked up.
11 reviews5.0 star rating 10/14/2016I *love* this shop!--Great bikes at an affordable price--Incredibly cool employees--zero pressure to buy--endless patience for questions--deeply knowledgeable--bikes for every rider-- and part of an indie bike shop community in Atlanta-- they will send you in the right direction if you cant find what you need in their store (..but dont worry, they have EVERYthing.)I just bought a Kona Dew Plus which I absolutely love. I came in prepared to spend more on a road bike... any other shop wouldve sent me on my way with a product I didnt really need. These guys fit me with the perfect ride for my daily commute. Slick, speedy ride. Also, my 2 year old son was tearing around their shop for a half hour on a strider bike, bashing into stuff, and nobody batted an eye. Instead, they offered up advice on what the little dudes first real bike should be.Could not be happier.
Great place. My bike was fixed up in a flash.
Great service
Lee and staff are great!
Fast, friendly and affordable!
Best shop in Atlanta!
One of Atlantas best
