Kurt and his whole team were incredibly kind and friendly from start to finish, helping me with suggestions and a few custom additions to make my dream mini-van build out a huge win. The quality of the materials used is top-notch, the foam mattress is so comfy, and the design is modern and clean. Plus, these vans are a fraction of the cost of similar builders. When I decided to convert a 2021 Ford Transit Connect into a mini camper van, I searched nationally for companies that might do this for me. Although it was disappointing to find that only a very few of the growing number of van conversion companies would even consider a mini-van conversion, Contravans was one of several notable exceptions. This young company emerged as my top choice for several important reasons. I liked the clean, modern style of their interiors, their flexible menu of options with transparent, reasonable pricing, and their immediate and consistent responsiveness to my questions.That customer service orientation persisted throughout the design and build process and was exceptional in every respect. My build was unusual because it included a mini kitchen with sink, shelving, refrigerator, and microwave in a very small space. Contravans was able to create a design that made efficient use of that space and also provided for flexible storage options. They offered cogent feedback on some of my ideas (e.g., a smaller inverter than what I specified was more than sufficient) and provided me with great options to consider in other areas. During the build process, I received exciting updates that included photos of the progress being made.The van was completed on time, with fine workmanship. Contravans showed me how the various components they installed worked, and then I was off for a three week trip that would eventually land me back home in California. The van performed beautifully through temperature extremes of 100 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit, and even though I packed much more stuff than I needed, I was able to find sufficient storage options.I am an extremely satisfied customer and highly recommend this company.

I worked with Contravans twice while building my van. Once when I purchased bunk windows from then and again when they installed my heater.These guys are incredibly knowledgable and helpful. They talked me through the window installation process and provided me with the materials I needed to make it happen. A few months later I reached out to them with a heater install. I highly recommend Contravans, LLC for small van conversions. They did an outstanding job converting my Nissan NV200 in what can only be described as a strange time (2020, enough said). Because of COVID 19, I had to postpone my conversion. The company worked with me to reschedule and was very professional at all times. I also changed my mind quite a few times about what I wanted :) and Contravans was very flexible. I also really valued the companys great communication. While there I got to see the quality of their custom builds, and its top-notch!While Ive done much of the work on my van myself, I plan to go back for a heater install in the fall, and wouldnt hesitate to go to them for other projects.
