Enjoyed the ambiance. Very quiet and calm, warm and spacious. The barista was very friendly. Coffee product was not the best, but it was okay.

Their croissant sandwich is just a store bought frozen sandwich.If I wanted to have it, I wouldve went to Walmart, not a Cafe.

Can’t believe it took me so long to find this place! I disagree with other reviews on the price. I got a breakfast sandwich and a latte for $5.95. Try that at Starbucks. Also our barista was super patient and kind with us (my husband never knows what he wants). Good value, nice space. Tucked away a bit so it wasn’t terribly crowded. I found a table with an outlet right away.

I was in town for 8 days for a business trip. Republik Coffee was a nice discovery and became my coffee shop away from home for the week.Full flavored coffee that didnt feel empty (like Starbucks or Dunkin does), every cup was as good as my usual spot at home. The decor was warm and inviting and the staff were very friendly. I could imagine making plans with friends to meet here for a cup and just relax. There is a small shared courtyard outside that is just as friendly and inviting to visit.It took only two days before the staff remembered me and knew my usual order as if Id been coming for years. Before coming to VA I only had 3 coffee shops I actively liked and recommend; I now have a fourth.

Awesome coffee and awesome staff. They even take my insulated Yeti and warm it it up with hot water when o never even asked them to. If youre in the area stop by...you wont regret it.

Came here with a friend on a rainy day, it was perfect. Its a cozy and calm coffee shop. The art on the wall is nice too. I got the raspberry mocha with half of the syrup added. It was very good but was still a little bit sweet for me. My friend got a flat white, she thought it was the best flat white she ever gotten. Staff was friendly and accommodating, they answered all my questions about their coffee .The nitro cold brew is highly recommended. Try the Vietnamese if you like it a little sweet and the regular nitro cold brew if you like it black.Glad we stopped in this morning.

Republik Coffee Bar is a large coffee shop in Ballston in the bottom of a high rise building. The decor is a little dark, but there are white murals inside decorating the space. They have a full coffee bar and my latte was decent. Theres a little area with sugar and other goodies.

A bit pricey but worth the $ for the quality! Very chic, simple coffee bar with great drinks and food. Service is always wonderful and there is plenty of space inside or out to enjoy

The coffee here I great. Theres a lovely barista who gave me samples of the cold brew and their nitrogen (I believe) infused coffee.. amazing! Really smooth. A downside is that one of the baristas were a little rude, unfortunately.

Nice ambiance inside and out. Loyalty cards, and friendly staff. Oh yea, and the owners hand selected roasts one of a kind and delicious. They have everything, including nitro brews and healthy breakfast sandwiches.

I used to love this little hole in the wall coffee shop, but since the reopening after their long closure due to COVID-19, it hasn’t been the same.The hours are so sporadic that I never know if they are going to be open or closed, even though hours are posted on the door 8-4, they are never open during the hours posted.Normally, you would expect an explanation but, no signs were posted. And never have been explained.There are no COVID precautions other than masks (no sneeze guards or signs indicating you need to wear a mask like you see in other coffee shops like Starbucks or dunkin) and even then, I have seen employees not wear them in the store.I will come in sometimes, doors unlocked, people inside, and a sign on the counter that says “back in 5 minutes” is on the counter. Very unprofessional.As much as it bothers me to post this, and I’ve never posted a review before, but this needs to be said.

The coffee is pretty good, its not too crowded, and most importantly they have couches.

The gentleman with a beard (Joe? John?) working at 3:45pm on Monday, September 16, 2019 was awesome. Fun, energetic, engaging. I ordered a cappuccino, and he even asked if I wanted it wet or dry (dry of course), and you never have someone ask, and you usually get a latte. It was perfectly made. Will definitely be stopping again soon.

This is a great low key coffee shop to get work done with a high standing bar too. Although there is likely mold inside possibly on walls, ventilation ducts that inhibits customers ability to do work and think clearly. The following day I tested positive with AO digital body scan for five molds: Alternaria,Aspergillus, Cladosporium, Fusarium, and Rhizopus.

They have this stuff on tap with condensed milk. So good. And Petes has something like it but not really. So good. Nice people. Always smiling. Very knowledgeable about their beans too.

I love the service here - its quick and friendly. The atmosphere is great, too - during a visit on a Monday morning, the Soundprint app recorded the average decibel level as 68 (or Quiet - Safe for hearing, great for conversation). Theres also plenty of seating and a non-cramped feel to the space.

Ive always enjoyed this hole in the wall coffee shop for its atmosphere. Its usually a studious crowd in here, reading a book, working on a computer, or having a conversation. The coffee is good although can taste burnt at times. Ive moved past Starbucks and prefer trying various coffee shops to support local business. Republik fulfills that need. Hope this helps.

My favourite thing about this place is the barista named John. He’s very friendly, remembers the customers (and their regular orders!) and makes the effort to come round and check on everyone who sits. I saw a review that said that the staff checking on them is nuisance, but I think the real issue is that people aren’t used to staff at coffee shops caring enough to check on patrons.In terms of things that could be done better I would say availability of power outlets and lighting. I know some people like that it’s a little dim though, just not my personal preference.

Republik Coffee is right by my office so I come here regularly, about over a week. Im a latte drinker so I cannot attest their regular coffee but their lattes are great. I usually get a vanilla with almond milk or sometimes a chi tea latte. The drinks are always delicious. Additionally the service if always wonderful. No matter how busy they are always friendly and quick.An additional bonus, they have a reward card so your 10th drink is free. Great if you live or work in the area!

I love their breakfast sandwich special that comes with a 16oz coffee. If I need to study or do work, I come here since there is a ton of room with lots of tables and outlets and its never unbearably crowded like Starbucks-plus their breakfast sandwich (turkey sausage egg and cheese) and coffee are delicious. There are some side street parking spots, but if you are coming here to do work for a few hours, I suggest parking in the Ballston Parking Garage and walking a very short distance, for much cheaper. Theres also a beautiful quiet outdoor courtyard where you can enjoy your coffee too.

Lovely people working here, personable and friendly. They can blend any drink so you arent wasting space by having just ice cubes in there and theyre willing to try different flavor combinations. They have the variety of milk, almond milk, soy milk, and I think coconut milk? Wait time is never long and their pastry selection is delicious and less costly than Starbucks. Drink prices are the same as other coffee spots, but theres a ton of seating here: high stools at the window, armchairs, normal chairs at tables, and booths... Not to mention outdoor seating at the fountain. Solid atmosphere for working and meetings

Great coffee and atmosphere. However, Im knocking off two stars because they waste so many takeaway cups. This is bad for the environment and if I pay $6 for a pour-over I dont want to drink it out of a paper cup. Train your staff, buy a dishwasher and get sustainable please! I will gladly up my rating to 5 stars if you would fix this simple, solvable sustainability problem.

Got a soy latte and it was excellent! Sleek but warm atmosphere.Couldnt connect to WiFi with Google Chrome, but I was able to connect with a different browser and then use chrome.

These guys have the best Iced Caramel Mocha Frappuccino 🤤.. Brittany and Kalvin here are too nice, kind and friendly. It’s like they’re gifted and born to do this. If you wanna try new options, ask these guys. I would say, these guys are best beings in this business makes coffee with love.

Great shop that specializes in cold brew and nitrogen infused coffee. All their coffee is top notch. Love the lattes. Black tea lemonade is also really good. A bit on the expensive side, even for Ballston.

New guy at counter, when I asked about one of their drinks he couldnt tell me much about it. Nice environment, dark and wood vibe. Enjoyed a bagel, but it was nothing special.

Some of the best coffee around the DC area, beats Starbucks coffee 10-1 any day of the week. The shop has a trans and relaxing atmosphere. Multiple power sources throughout the coffee shop. Very friendly staff! They are opening a new location in Tysons Corner and DC, plus... they are going to be serving alcohol as well. Ohhhhh cant wait!!!!!!!!!

Great atmosphere and coffee. John, the barista, sets the bar for service. He brought me out a water, smiled often, and made me feel like a valued customer...the entire experience!

Ive had a hot chocolate and a cappuccino from here, and both were weak-tasting. The hot chocolate was almost watery (despite the delicious foam-and-chocolate-syrup art on top), and the cappuccino was more like a weak latte. I also cant recommend the chocolate croissants; mine was quite spongy. (I swear it looked flaky in the case!)There are a few comfy arm chairs, though, and ample bar-stool-style seating, and its a warm place to duck in from the cold.

I’m not a huge fan of their espresso drinks as I find the milk isn’t steamed to have a thicker texture. I also find that there aren’t many accessible outlets if you are planning to do work. However, it is still a nice quiet place, good WiFi, and outdoor seating.

The flat white here is the best I have ever had. Better than Starbucks and other coffee shops flat whites. If youre a big fan of rich and smooth espresso and coffee, this is the spot.

I ordered a single shot cortado, and I received a 12 oz drink. Its definitely not a cortado. The spinach byrek was really good, though.

The baristas were efficient & friendly. Coffee is good. The breakfast sandwich croissant seemed a little stale & the bacon a little over done, so I likely wont get one of those again. But Ill definitely be back to try pastries.

Clearly better than Starbucks, but not an artisan coffee shop of the likes of la colombe etc. I got a single espresso and it was above average, but certainly not great. The interior is nice but a bit corporate feeling. Sorta like how Starbucks feels corporate but made to look local. As far as I can tell, this is probably the best coffee youll find in Ballston (along with buzz). The workers seemed pretty nice. Ill definitely be giving it a few more tries.

This is a hidden gem in the heart of Ballston! Its never busy and they have great coffee (and tons of latte flavors, if you like sweet coffee drinks!). They also have outdoor seating! The pricing is on par with Starbucks. It is tricky to find it if youre not from the area - you have to walk into a courtyard behind Nandos. Follow the signs for Rock n Joes (their old name). I meet with clients here often! Definitely worth a visit!

I dont love coffee. Its usually bitter and harsh. And when the caffeine hits, it makes me all jittery. But at Republik, the medium roast pour-over is comparatively smooth and doesnt give me the jitters. I like to ruin it by adding a little cream and sugar.
