Surprised. Was ready to not buy the coffee, a sample persuaded me. Medium roast drip coffee, no sugar/milk, was quite good. Croissant also crispy outside, springy inside. (Update: dont get 🥐 warmed up, goes soggy.)

How often is the card reader down? I’ve visited twice in two weeks, and it has been down both times. While they do have the manual credit card machine that allows the shop to make an imprint of the actual card, that just makes me a bit nervous in this day and age. Bakery items are well stocked and look fresh. Coffee is decent.

I didn’t know cake could taste this good until I tried the one I ordered from here. I got it for my sis’s baby shower and we tried it; it was insanely good and we all loved it. I never write reviews but felt compelled after trying this cake; thanks so much for making my sis’s baby shower all the more special with it.

Had brewed coffee and the lemon cupcake. Both items were good.The ambience was okayish though personally i felt the lighting a bit too dim.One more thing that i unfortunately must add around my maiden visit here is the lack of a welcoming vibe from the staff. Of the two servers/attendants, one was fine but the other had the most neutral/uninterested look and response, which kind of made me feel unwelcome and conscious. For me personally, a hi with a smile and generally pleasant attitude from the staff can go a long way to decide if i will return to that place.

We always ordered a dozen a coffee, now not any more after I was treated badly by a cashier who does have a good manner and unprofessional. I was only one I ordered coffee and cup cakes. She gave me cupcakes and I had to wait for coffee 10 minutes. When asked she was rude and unprofessional front of the other people. This happened on Thursday, Jan16.2020. I hope the management fix her and put her on right truck. When I asked for manager she claimed she is the manager. Very weird to have a manager like her to run a business

Ive been here twice with coworkers, and both experiences were entirely pleasant. High-quality cupcakes, casual atmosphere, a range of seating options... and the wifi is decent!

This is a good place to grab a cup of coffee and write, read, study, or work. A plus because they serve dine in coffee in a ceramic cup and saucer. Coffee in a real cup just tastes better.

In addition to decent coffee, Buzz also has a good selection of cupcakes and other baked goods. I like the molasses cookies. But the best thing is the grilled pimiento cheese sandwich. Theyll heat it up for you, or you can take it home and do it yourself. Finally, theyre usually less crowded than the closest Starbucks, so you can relax at a table and use the WiFi while youre enjoying your coffee and snacks.

Im addicted to this place. The pastries in the morning are delicious, also the more traditional breakfast options like quiche cant be beat. I also recently had them do a birthday cake for me and I have to say while these cakes are decorated beautiful, and they will work with you to customize them, they taste amazing! For being such a large cake it was the perfect balance of density, moisture, and flavor. Cant beat buzz!!

Small neighborhood stop for coffee and pastries with a bright and airy feel. Of their food options Ive only ever tried their cupcakes but they were some of the best that Ive ever had. The staff are friendly and service is prompt. You may have trouble finding a seat on weekend mornings as it gets pretty crowded.

This is now a Stoneys restaurant so the food is good and it is right on the water so a great place to hang out in summer. Their service could be better.

Went in for a quick coffee and a treat. Super adorable and trendy decorations, very nice and efficient staff. I used to take pride in saying the best crossiant I ever got was in the Grand Canyon. One bite of this buttered beauty changed my mind. It was fantastic. Highly recommend this place.

When the cashier never looks at you, barely speaks to you, and then streams up such a scalding hot beverage that it burns your mouth, what else can you say? One extra star for decent pastry.

My daughter attended a birthday party here and loved it. The pizza was tasty and decorating the cupcakes kept the kids busy. The interior is very cute and it seems like a nice place to catch an espresso drink and some confections. We will have to stop in for a regular visit some time soon.

I always want the baked goods at this coffeehouse to be better than they actually are. They look good but are basically only slightly above average. The Alexandria location is a bit better though. Both locactions serve different coffee roasters which is weird.

Good food, good coffee. However, Ive been here twice and both times the counter has been understaffed, and both times, the Lone Staffer has been a slow-mover. So: if you get here and are at the front of the line, its all good. If you are two or more people back in line, youre gonna be there a while.

Ive been here many times. Maybe 20, even 30 times. The only negative experience Ive had was when I tried to come here to study for an exam and it just so happened that someone was having a birthday party for their 7- year old and invited probably the whole neighborhood. Despite this, I was able to - with the help of my noise cancelling headphones- deal with it.The coffee is freshly brewed, and the cupcakes are delicious. I also recommend other pastries such as their croissants. Everything seems to be made fresh.

Dont waste your time with this overrated Starbucks. We ordered 2 muffins and 2 coffees and finished the muffins before the coffee ever came! I hoped to have a nice morning with my daughter but Buzz Bakeshop was not the place!

The only decent cappuccino Ive had since returning to the US from Australia, and friendly service to boot. (The cashier carried my scone to a table for me while I wheeled my stroller and carried my coffee.) The orange-cranberry scone was a perfect mid-morning hit. They even ground a pack of coffee beans for me (temp housing, no grinder). Probably didnt need to buy them, though -- Ill probably be back most mornings.

I went by at 8:30pm. I wanted to see if Buzz sold coffee beans. I asked both employees there if they had bags of coffee. They said they werent sure, and then told me to check the shelves near the entrance. No bags of coffee. I thought okay, maybe Ill grab a pastry or cupcake...but there were none. There was absolutely nothing in the display case, not even display dishes. Again, this was an hour-and-a-half before closing time. Additionally, dull ambience.

Ordered our wedding cake from Buzz- delicious and our guests couldnt stop raving about the cake! The coffee and cupcakes are the best treats in the area and we definitely recommend them to everyone! Thank you Buzz!:)

Went here to pick up cupcakes and GF options for a birthday and it was great.Then I came later on a cold day to get hot coco, and had the rudest woman serving that section. Another customer and I were left shocked on how she acted. I asked for more coco because my drink just tasted too milky and she said she already put 2 shots in there and groaned after I insisted. The other servers just stared like they know but cant do anything about her.

I have only visited this place once, as I thought it seemed like one of those overpriced bakeries popular for seemingly no reason at all, but I was pleasantly surprised. I placed a very last-minute, very large order for a party and the staff was overwhelmingly helpful and patient. They did everything they could to make sure I got what I needed on time. They very easily couldve been cranky and annoyed with this random person asking for stuff so late at night, but they werent. Their products are a little pricey, but what I got was a hit at the party. Im quite glad with how everything turned out and I will most definitely come by again.

Excellent cupcakes a d coffee! We had the iced mocha and it was very smooth to the taste. The cupcakes tasted as labeled! Crazy idea but the cookies and cream tasted just like our favorite sandwich cookie instead of a cream frosting and favorless sponge. Highly recommended and el visit again when in Arlington!

The most amazing peanut butter chocolate cookies ever. Lovely location with shaded trees on the side and a fountain in the summer. Great place to get gourmet muffins for the office.

This little coffee shop is SO cute. A friend of mine recommended the rice krispie treats made fresh daily, and he did not steer me wrong. They were INCREDIBLE. I look forward to trying the beverages next time, but I will certainly be coming back for another rice krispie treat :)

This is a cute place. Coffee isnt bad. The cupcakes are a little sweeter than I like..very decadent. At this location the parking is difficult so it is much better if you are close and walking. Not easy to be driving and just run in to get a coffee.

Awesome place to grab a coffee and study. I alternate between the coffee and the jasmine green tea, which is also delicious. It can get a bit loud here so if youre looking for a quiet place to study, this may not be the place.Also you have to try their cupcakes. When Im feeling like its a treat yoself kind of day, I order the 9:30 cupcake which is the most decadent chocolate cupcake ever. Very rich. I am also a fan of their sugar cookies.

Love this place! Its right on my way to work, and I often have to convince myself not to go in! A girl can only have so many muffins per week! The scones and muffins are just perfection. The espresso drinks are excellent. I always go for an Americano, and its delicious every time. In the fall they have pumpkin woopie pies that are so heavenly and indulgent. I highly recommend checking it out. Why go to the chain when this real deal coffee shop is just around the corner?

Came here while visiting a friend in the area. We saw the great reviews and that there were several gluten-free options available. When we came at about 10:30 am, the only gluten-free option was a cookie. When I asked if there was anything else, the guy behind the counter was somewhat rude and said that all the gluten-free breakfast stuff sold out much earlier in the day. I was unable to purchase anything and left feeling very frustrated and hungry. You should consider more options for those who are allergic to gluten and want to have something other than a cookie for breakfast.

One of my favorite coffee lounges/bakeries in Northern Virginia. Everything looked so tempting that we got back in line and ordered again! The staff does a great job of making sure you leave happy. The treats are delicious and depending on what you get can be slightly pricey.The decor is adorable and very conducive for studying or chatting quietly. However, we had to wait awhile before seats opened up as many patrons stay there for hours on end. The tables are placed close together, forcing you to awkwardly stare at customers sitting next to you. Despite that, its a very cozy, comfortable place.

Yeah great tasting cupcakes but man this place is dirty. Everywhere you turn its dirty, seats had crumbs on them, the counters are not wiped, the front door is opaque with hand marks, the area where the sugar is is unkept, as in not wiped down and on my LAST visit was out of napkins. PS the guy behind the counter, who seems to be the owner or manager, has the unfortunate face of looking unfriendly and mad. Not pleasant at all. Its a shame being a cute place that outs not run very well.

Two separate customers made a scene in the cafe while I was there. The staff just stood behind the counter gossiping between themselves instead of doing anything about it. They were out of an ingredient for a drink I ordered and after waiting 5 minutes I asked about it and they said they were working on it and it would be a few minutes. It looked like they had to thaw it out! I ended up leaving without it because it took so long. Disappointed.

On my way home I stopped in for a cupcake, but to my surprise no one was behind the counter. I waited 5-10 mins and still nobody there.Its a shame, because the cupcakes are really tasty. :(

Much much better coffee and baked goods than the leading coffee chain with a more relaxing vibe (although dont expect quite as quick service). The floor layout and presence of some longer tables make this a good option for meeting a few friends or getting some work done.

Flies on the food every time I visit. The barista expected us to shout our orders at her from halfway across the room. Desserts are decent but drinks arent worth a dime.

The staff at Buzz are friendly, efficient, and genuinely care about the happiness and well being of their customers. Its a great place to hang out with a couple of friends, gorge on cupcakes and cappuccinos while reading a book, have a sandwich and a latte while catching up on some emails, or people watch with a tea and a ham and chive scone.

BYOH and music. Unless you have a high tolerance for music written and recorded before 1970. Coffee is great people are nice, but the music was clearly picked by somebody who thinks no good music was written except between 1950 and 1969.

Coffee is good, the muffin I had was not good. It tasted stale and not like a homemade muffin, which was disappointing since they are a bake shop. The atmosphere is OK. Its loud and there isnt a ton of space, but the bar at the window is nice!

This is the. BEST Bakeshop I have ever been to. I8 two of their cupcakes comma and they were so delicious, and the buttercream frosting was divine. We came shortly after they closed and, somewhat embarrassingly, got their attention and told them we would pay them anything for another cupcake. The the owner was very gracious, and allowed us to come in and get two cupcakes. 10 out of 10 on service, would recommend to anyone looking for the best cupcakes they will ever eat. @FoodNetwork these guys should go on cupcake wars or something.

I find the food, coffee and service to be very hit or miss here.There are some good food items here such as the cupcakes and cookies. Some other things Ive had have been pretty bad. The brioche breakfast roll with egg inside was so overcooked the egg was green.The coffee is usually what I go for, but a couple times it has tasted downright terrible.Some days the service is excellent, some days I am completely ignored & have to wait 10 minutes.Not my favorite spot, but will do in a pinch if Im walking by.
