On Aug. 27th, my passenger side rear tire blew out during a severe thunderstorm with flash flooding. Upon calling Midas to find out whether or not my tire size was available, I was immediately provided the phone number for an affordable towing company to assist me. Though Midas didnt have my tire size in stock, they ordered it and had it ready on the morning of the very next business day. Due to a work emergency, I had to leave my car overnight again, and was ensured that my vehicle was parked safely inside and that there wouldnt be additional storage fees. When I arrived in person to pick up the car, the store manager took the time to doublecheck the pressure of all four tires prior to my pulling out, and also topped off my wiper fluid for free when he realized I was running low! This excellent level of customer service with my vehicle is almost unheard of; as a woman, I felt entirely comfortable with the shop, which also is rare. Thank you for taking such excellent care of my car! Rest assured, I will frequent Midas moving forward for all my vehicle needs. =)
Great prices. I had an early emergency with my brakes and they were able to take me immediately. Super nice. Theres never a good time to pay for car services, but overall appreciated what they did for me (it needed to be done). Fair prices for the area, and their brakes are lifelong warranty, so if I have another issue I will be heading back to them for help!
Ive used this Midas multiple times over the year for service on my car, everything from the routine (oil change, brake change) to the weird (a leaf caught in an ODB2 connector). Theyve always been clear and upfront with what services theyre going to provide and what it will cost and have generally gone the extra mile in giving me advice on what needs to be done and when.
I had them put on an aftermarket muffler they perfected all the pipes and made sure everything was in perfect condition great job overall I highly recommend you come to this location best shop experience I’ve ever had
I came here from the dealership with a recommendation to replace my catalytic converters. The estimate from the dealership was $2500. They recommended taking the car to Midas for a better deal. At Midas, they ran the error codes again and it appeared that the O2 sensors around the Cat were bad rather than the catalytic converter itself. So they replace them and saved me about $1000.
Workers are very professional and work on timely manner, shout out goes to Matt he is awesome.
I have brought in my RAV4 quite a number of times to these guys, and they have always been very helpful. They have been honest and straightforward with me, and their service has always been great. They don’t pressure you to get more things done, they just tell you like it is from what they are seeing. Good crew and easy to work with!
I came in for an oil change and to get my tires replaced. Matt explained all the options clearly and was friendly and personable. They were able to get everything done the same day which was really convenient as well. Great place!
My experience has been great here at Midas. The mechanics have been great end reasonable. They are willing to work with you the best way possible. If you have any problems with your vehicle I would recommend coming here and the mechanics will take care of you.
Ive been to Midas two times and have had a great experience. Matt is incredibly knowledgable and I appreciate that he takes the time to explain my cars problems to me and gives me options. I had a brake fluid leak that 4 shops couldnt find...until I came to Midas!
Excellent service! Needed a tire patched quickly and they delivered. Even put the tire back on when I arrived. Will definitely use this location in the future for my car service needs!
After a cabin air filter inspection as part of an oil change, the glove box door that had to be opened would no longer close. Midas pointed to tool pry marks on the door, which could have been due to any recent break-in attempt. They stated that the process to check the air filter is a tool-less process and that the tech of 3 years wouldn’t have had to use any tools that could have attributed to the damage. That stated, the functionality of the door was not as I had left it, and rather than dispute fault, they provided me a ride home while they contacted a dealership to receive an OEM glovebox for the next morning and replaced it without any charge to myself. I’m thankful for their honorable service and consideration for the customer!
Great experience here! Dropped off my car for some brake issues before I went to work. The shop is within walking distance from the East Falls Church Metro stop which was super convenient. They called me shortly after to tell me the diagnosis on the car and to let me know what the quote was (super polite and really nice). This was the second time I’ve brought my car in and they have gone above and beyond by trying to fix my car key batteries that were dying. The team here is trustworthy and I can tell they genuinely have my best interests in mind and weren’t trying to nickel and dime me. Will be bringing my car here from now on. Highly recommend!!
Great experience overall and for a great price too! This Midas was very helpful and my car was ready in no time.
Had a very bad experience with a pervious mechanic, however they took good care of me, were very knowledgeable, and notified me of any risks or option available to me. Very much recommend 👍🏾
Great customer service. They were friendly and upfront about prices. Called me to let me know if they saw something I hadn’t already said and asked to work on it and how much it would be. Would definitely go back.
I had a pretty good experience with Midas thats why I came back to them for other services. Front desk guy is pretty nice as well! Its good to know Im taken care of!
I returned to Midas Arlington after having exhaust work done several months ago because my ABS dash light was on and message center gave me a service warning.Counter staff explained the diagnostic process, and after the problem was identified he scheduled my repair for the next day when the part was not immediately available. I was pleased to see that the invoice was about what I expected -- a reasonable price for the work.I trust Midas Arlington to do the job right at a fair price, and Im happy to be a repeat customer.
This place really helped me. I could here metal grinding from my brakes and I went to NTB first and asked to check if everything was okay, they said my brakes were okay. After that my brakes stopped working and brake fluid was leaking I went to Midas in lee highway and they told me that my rotors were completely rusted, it was a very bad situation but they fixed it really fast and it was a great service. If this wouldn’t been fixed I would have probably died on the road so thank you very much Midas!
Went in expecting to replace my muffler because my car is 170k miles on it. Turns out It was only a loose heatshield they cost nothing to repair. And they found other problems and fix them at the same time. This is my new auto repair shop. They actually gave me a visual inspection to show me what the problem was before the repair.Very happy and satisfied !!!
Extremely helpful! Was able to save me a pretty penny on a muffler repair. Couldn’t recommend more!
After a local dealership couldnt provide service at my appointment time, I went to Midas. The inspection was done quickly and with no hassle. I was in and out in 10 minutes. This is the fourth time Ive come to this store, each time with the same level of speed and service.
Its been good. I take my car there for basic service, inspections and repairs. They seem to be fair and price conscientious for the customer.
Prices may be a bit on the higher side but Id rather pay for peace of mind, honesty and good service vs. cheap labor and a bad experience. Have taken my car to several different places in the area but have settled on this shop, would recommend to others.
Very nice, understanding and helpful. Will go there again
The staff was very knowledgeable, and had a BMW specialist who did a wonderful, fast job, and Matt took great care of us and my car while saving us a boatload if money and time. Thanks Midas!!!
Never going back again. Midas was a convenient place to get my inspections done, but when I went this week to have them do my emissions inspection, they said there was a leak, I needed this and that part, and it would be $800 to fix it. I took the car to the dealership where it passed with no issues whatsoever. I really feel Midas tried to take advantage of me.
Worst shop you can do oil change in they dont know what is costumer service standards are. they push you to get the expensive oil change they promise to top off all the fluids but they dont just check after them but seriously dont give your money for someone who doesnt appreciate doing business with you
Charlie and his team have come through for me multiple times. They’re professional and have integrity. Whole heartedly endorse Midas at 6730 Lee Highway Arlington VA!
These guys are great. I needed a small adjustment on my exhaust and they took care of it right away and really worked with me on the price! The guy that worked on my truck, Ive dealt with before and knows his way around the exhaust system. Wasted no time and got right to it. If i need help, this Midas is where Ill go.
If Chris is working there, stay away. He pretends to be virtuous but it is a scam. He said they couldnt get a tie rod off in the 8 hours they had the car. Check out my photos of how they messed it up and the $20 tool I bought to do it myself.Tried to sell me control arms that I had professionally replaced 14k miles ago. LOL get outta here with that. Said that would fix my alignment. NO!They said removing the tie rods could break the entire steering system. Well, I did it myself and the car handles better than ever. No fluid leaking when I removed the rubber boot covering the inner tie rod.Tried to tell me my brakes were metal on metal when in really they just needed to be changed in the near future. What a scam artist. Shops always try to sell brakes because the price is high and they are easy to do. BEWARE!Also, Chris left a very creepy voicemail that was almost a minute long. Sounded like a guy ready to explode. Kept saying I just wanna talk
Dont bother making an appointment because they wont honor it!I made an appointment 1.5 hours prior to get my oil changed on a Saturday. I understand that Saturdays are busy days for them, but getting it done during the week is just not an option for me. I also understand that oil jobs dont make much money for the companies, but I have been a loyal Midas customer for a long time. This was the first time I used this Midas because I just moved to the area.Anyways, I made my appointment and walked in. I told the man at the counter that I called about getting my oil done and he said Forget it, its not going to happen today. I was surprised because I had made my appointment 1.5 hours earlier. So I told him that I had just made the appointment 1.5 hours earlier and he says It really doesnt matter, its not going to happen.Really?? You cant figure out your work load 1.5 hours in advance?Needless to say this will be my last time to use this Midas.
Looks like this place is under new management starting ~March 2015. Walked in on Saturday afternoon to get an oil change & tire rotation. Took ~1.5 hours and they werent that busy, so they lost a star for that. Did a standard job, just slow. Recommend looking up the Valpak coupon beforehand, and ask them to do the complimentary inspections.
Terrific, honest, efficient and personalized service!I was in a bind to get a repair done before the month ended in order to pass my inspection.Charlie at Midas was not only prepared with the part ( I tried 4 other places with no luck) but he was able to get my car in the next day. He called me to update me on the status of my vehicle and explained the best and worst case scenarios so I knew how much money to be prepared to have to sink into my resilient but ancient car.I needed the car to be ready the same day to go out of town and he started on it at 7 am so that I could pick it up after only 4 hours! He was able to reinstall a part without doing any additional damage- and in doing so saved me a significant amount of money!I have never had such a pleasant and efficient experience and will be taking my car here again In the future / recommending Charlie’s professional services to family and friends. For anyone who’s been burned by mechanics in the past- Charlie is a breath of fresh air and will work hard to save you money and be as transparent and skillful in the process!
Very good service but not cheap
I am a frequent customer at Midas and every scheduled appointment is on time, great customer service. I never have to worry about long wait times and bad help. When ever I have a question or if its something I dont fully understand the young men help me out. Mr. Johnson provides great customer service when my schedule doesnt me the times they have available he also provides me with information that may be helpful for a long car life. I have never had a bad experience and I would highly recommend them to family and friends. I drive from Waldorf to Arlington VA so that should show how great this place is.Thank You Guys you have a Customer for Life!
Great experience, matt was my supervisor
This place is no good. RUN!! I highly recommend staying away and take your business elsewhere.
Good customer service, fair prices. Mr. Charlie the store Manager is very friendly and cooperative guy.
EDITED: Also had my alternator fixed there less than a year ago. Guess what? My alternators dead again. Jerks.Took my car in to repair a flat. They did it, but also insisted that my brakes were rusty and needed to be replaced. When I said no, they insisted on TAKING PHOTOS of the brakes and sending them to me -- which showed that they were dirty, but little more. Whatever. A few weeks later, I took my car to a different mechanic for a different problem, and asked them to look at the brakes just to be sure. THEY said the brakes were perfectly fine, no rust.DO NOT TRUST THEM.
Very helpful and amazing customer service
The gentleman at the front desk went out of his way to help me. Much appreciated.
Scam artists! Said my car needed over $1,000 in repairs another dealership did the same job for $200.
Came here to have my front brake pads changed. They called me back to show me all the work that needed to be done, like the rear brake fluid leak that wasnt leaking before they took apart the drum brakes that I didnt ask to have fixed. And of course the rotors needed to be changed because they couldnt mill them for some reason, not that they even needed milling. All that, par for the course with mechanics. What really annoyed me was that the guy tried to charge me for 6 hours of labor (one hour for each part that needed replacing at $95 an hour) and then said he could have it done before they closed, in 2 hours...Thanks, but Ill just make an appointment with my real mechanic who knows that changing brake pads is a 10 min job, not an hour long one.So, if you need something more than a simple repair, go elsewhere.
I came in for an oil change. I wrote on my sheet that I wanted regular oil. They instead put in expensive blend without asking my permission. A mechanic should never do anything to your car that will cost you extra without checking with you.
I could go into a long winded explanation of why never to take your car here, but I will keep it short.Took my car in cause it was making a funny noise. Got a quote for over $2000 of work the car needed.Called another mechanic, listed the parts Midas said needed to be replaced. For the same parts and hours of labor their total estimate was $1000Took my car to the other mechanic, who told me I didnt need half the parts Midas claimed I did, ended up with a bill of $380.My car is running beautifully. I have gone to Midas several times cause I live next door. NEVER GOING BACK!
Im afraid i cant recommend this location. After my last oil change my tires were inflated way past spec. The manual recommends 36PSI, the sidewalls state 40PSI is the max, and 3 tires were at 45PSI+.The last tire, on the front drivers side, was at 57PSI. Even after deflating the tires to spec, the handling was terrible (a problem that didnt exist prior to my oil change), from the alignment which suddenly pulled right to the reverberations that came through my steering wheel. I ended up replacing all four tires at a different shop.I think the oil change went fine though? I cant say I have much faith in it and will be doing another one at an earlier interval despite getting full synthetic.Lastly, on a more minor note, the interior of my car stunk of oil for 2-3 days after the service. Had to drive with windows down for that time to air out the car.
I came to ask for a ball park price went in the next day to have them patch two holes in my exhaust it took a little longer than i thought it should have but the price he quoted me was almost exact everyone was very nice too
Incredibly fast oil change. No hassle or pushy salesmen trying to get you to purchase unnecessary add ons.
Absolutely terrible customer service. The manager, DJ, yelled at me over the phone and continuously interrupted me while I tried to express my unhappiness with their work. My tone was nothing short of respectful until DJ began to interrupt and shout at me. There is no reasonable explanation for that sort of behavior from a manager in a customer service based profession.
Best place on earth !!!
Repaired and on the road in less then 3 hours
Very nice and knowledgeable mechanic, BUT very bad and unfriendly customer service from the management.
Customer service is horrible. African American guy at customer service is rude. Acts like hes in the ghetto, shouting profanity. They need to get ride of him.
This is the worst place I have ever been in to Midas places. Management sucks and dont know how to do their job.Never again in to this location.
Great service
Very pricey...
