Absolutely 100 percent impressed with this shop and Jeff the owner. He is so nice and tried to make sure that I understood everything when I went to pick up the transmission he built for my Tahoe. He had it built and ready for pick up 5 business days from the day I ordered it. I couldnt pick the transmission up so quickly and he was very nice about it he was very accommodating and just let me pick it up when I could I give this business and Jeff 10 thumbs up.

Gave me the best price for a transmission and also fixed an electrical issue I was having. They kept me updated, were transparent, and gave good customer service. Car runs like new.

I thought my car had a leaky transmission, so I took it here. After a FREE diagnosis, Jeff discovered that my motor oil was leaking. Although, Jeff was not able to work on my car, he filled up my oil and referred me to another great place. Great service, professionalism, and very helpful. Definitely, 100% recommend.

This place is great! I came in for transmission problems. They diagnosed my problem with 5 minutes. Unfortunately it was time for a new transmission. Luckily they told me it would be ready for me TOMORROW!! I couldnt believe such a fast turn around. My truck operates better than ever. They also told me a couple other things I should watch out for in the future. They have warranties and a free future check to make sure everything is still running strong! I havent had the best luck with mechanics in the past but I will recommend these guys to everyone I know! Thank you very much Jeff for your and the crews work on my truck! Cant say enough thanks.

From a selfish standpoint Im almost afraid to comment here. To me, the perfect auto repair shop is a solid subject matter expert who does timely work, that you can trust, and is not looking to clean you out. Transmissions are a dicey proposition, and Im very thankful to have these guys available. Ive read unfavorable reviews here. All I can say is that, as a military aircraft mechanic, maintenance is not a perfect art. Mistakes can happen. But Id trust Longhorn Transmissions completely. Almost afraid the word will get out on them lol.

I had my 99 Ford Explorer delivery truck serviced at Longhorn Transmission about 1 1/2 years ago and it is still running great after about 35000 miles. Jeff (the owner) was extremely helpful in explaining how things worked and why my transmission went out in the first place. He even discovered a problem I was having else where in the car because of his thoroughness. I highly recommend Longhorn for any of your car troubles.

This company is so slow. They tell you a date to drop it off to them just for it to sit there for two weeks before they even look at it to see whats wrong. Even if youve already told them whats wrong with it. Then its going to take another week for the parts to come in. Then another week before they pull the old part off then another to put the new one on. Long story short dont leave them your vehicle unless you have another means of transportation or a month and a half of work to do around the house. I dont even know how good of work they actually do......Im still waiting for my vehicle.

Ive been dealing with Longhorn Transmission for over 15 years. They always treat me and my customers very good. The first time I went to them was after I had taken my car to another company who told me it would cost $1,500 to rebuild my transmission. I decided to get a second opinion, the people at Longhorn Transmission told me that my transmission did NOT need to be rebuilt but that there was a problem with my axle. They fixed it and it cost me LESS THAN $200!! They are honest people with excellent customer service. I refer all my friends there.

I love this place. Been coming here for years, and my family and friends have been to. They are so nice and honest and straight forward. I took my old pickup in today for a flywheel job. And when they were done they notice the problem was my engine. They informed me that my engine was bad, then they didnt even charge me for their time. This will for ever be my transmision place. They are good people.

I could not be happier with my experience at Longhorn Transmissions and I would highly recommend Jeff and his crew. I am new in TX, but felt like I was going to my lifelong mechanic. Jeff and his staff were honest and fair, and nothing but helpful. Longhorn helped save me from overpaying a larger mechanic shop for tons of unnecessary repairs and talked me through every step. Reabile price to fixing transmission

Jeff was recommended by a friend of mine. Tranny was slipping. Thru his contacts it was gonna be around 1000.00 getting from salvage. But Jeff convinced me to drive it til it goes out. 6 months later Im still using the old transmission. Honest guy. Cant say enough good things about him.

Had my transmission diagnosed for a complete rebuild that was estimated at $1500 because transmission was running rough. Found out from a muffler shop that I had a bad transmission mount. Replaced mount...$18 part Autozone....installed myself. Transmission now has no vibration. DID NOT NEED A REBUILD!

I used Longhorn Transmission for the first time about eight years ago and have been using them ever sence. Being a car dealer I always need work done and their prices and work are excellent. I have sent family and freinds there as well and never had a problem. I would recomend Longhorn to anyone.

This company is horrible they rebuilt my transmission and didn’t tighten the bolts and one of the bolts shot into my motor and locked it up....stay away from this place

We were given the run around two weeks by another shop to fix our transmission. Jeff at Longhorn said it would be two days to fix but it ended up being one day!!!

Outstanding transmission shop

Took two of my cars here one like two year ago and the other one a year ago and the work they did was really poor on the one car I took there a year ago the only thing they did was to put silicon around the transmition, no wonder the car was doing the same thing after I took it back to them 2 times and for what they charge me $1800 so please dont take your to this place its not worth it.
