Scheduled an appointment using their online scheduling system but when arriving, the advisor does not want to acknowledge my appointment and wants me to wait 5 hours for the service. Even after showing him the confirmation email, he refuses to acknowledge the appointment. Then i called the service scheduling number and the scheduler was able to confirm the appointment. The only good reason I can think of is the service advisor doesnt want to take on more work or they are over scheduled. Hate to think theres any other reason even though the advisor is pretty rude.

Oscar and T found a broken tie rod that a previous dealer out of state had missed. I cant thank them enough. They fit me in immediately and did a diligent effort on a complete assessment and then showed me up close what the issue was. Had the parts in an hour, installed, aligned and got me back out the door. These guys are great and worth traveling from another state to work with!

I loved my experience. They were accurate with the time they estimated with me, they were very courteous and customer service friendly. My cost estimate was actually less than what they had quoted me because after taking a quick peek, they told me I didn’t need to do some additional things that I was told prior that I would need. To me they were upfront and honest and you don’t normally find that at a dealership. I would use them time and time again. They were very busy but I was ok with that because they told me upfront about the time it would take. They also offer a military discount.

I came from an independent mechanic did a diagnostic run on the car and it says that everything passed according to the cooker computer. However the brake indicator stayed on. I go to the Toyota dealership. Paid $155 for a diagnostic scan... Ended up with a $4000 estimate with no list of what needed to be done, keeping me in the dark. So now Im considering selling the car. I cant afford this. A stressful situation given the times of Covid.

Yong Kim is the gentleman that I always go to He is Awesome! Polite, poised and always on time. If he says the car will be ready after the maintenance work is done in 2 hours- he really means that. I’m always on the go and busy, so to have things done on time is very important for me. I highly recommend Yong Kim, if you ever need someone reliable and trustworthy.

It took TWO AND A HALF HOURS for an oil change. I have been to two other dealers for routine Toyota Care servicing before moving here and they never took more than 45 minutes for the same services. Got to the dealer at 730 and didnt receive a text until 9 about my car being in their care. Im assuming it wasnt even looked at until then. I asked for an update but never heard back. I recommend going to a different dealer in the area for service and repair.

I bought a used car a few months ago and got an engine light so I looked at my engine and the oil level was too high and there was almost no brake fluid. They needed to replace the alternator as well. I set up an appointment by calling but apparently that didnt show up in their system because I had to set up another appointment for 5 days later. They were supposed to come pick me up with the shuttle service so I could have my car until the next appointment but they never came even though I called multiple times to set up the shuttle service for myself as well. I called almost 20 times over the next 5 days to try to get a hold of someone who could help me and couldnt get through to anyone. When I finally got picked up to get my car after it was fixed the staff looked amused. My car was covered in black soot as well and now it feels like They didnt reconnect the power steering correctly. Dont buy a car from here. They told me when I bought it that it had been emissions tested as well but I had to hound them to get my new license plates as well and it turns out that I hadnt gotten them because they had never done the emissions test. Very poor customer service overall.

Overall good service, I was pleased that they finished 45 mins sooner than they had estimated. However, it seems they need to train staff in how to respectfully address non-binary people. My service rep kept calling me “miss”, so I immediately corrected him and told him I wasn’t a “miss”, then he said it again a few minutes later and again a couple hours later when I came to collect my car. It’s a simple thing to stop saying it when someone tells you to, and even simpler to not assume someone’s gender and just address them politely (like staff normally do) without titles.

I came to Koons service department to get my 5000 miles service for my practically new Toyota. After the service was completed I found my car parked with engine running on the parking lot (!!!!) about 30 mins after they messaged me the service was completed. After I opened the car door, there was what appeared to be a grease/oil stain on driver’s seat and a black greasy thumbprint right above the driver’s car door. Seriously! I went and got their manager Mario and he asked me to come back to get that stain removed. I would have to take time off work again to come back to fix their issues! After I got back during the week I asked him to give my car a wash and he said he’ll try. After 5 minutes he was back and handed me my keys saying the stain was removed and the print was wiped off. So if it takes 5 minutes, then could he do it the first time around so I didn’t have to come back?!To sum things up: I just moved to DC area with my car and was looking for a nice Toyota dealership going forward. Frankly, this one won’t be it! Customer service here is nonexistent and I can only imagine how their service department “fixes” cars if they are so sloppy!

The service work was fine. The service manager who dealt with me was fine. The big problem that I had was I could not get a hold of the service department by phone, and I made the assumption that the service department was open until 9:00, which the website said the facility was open until. So I came to pick up my card at 7:30 p.m., and nobody could get the keys to give me my car. This is the only car dealership I have ever found that did not have an after hours pickup capability. The cashier was there, the salespeople were there, but nobody could get me the keys to my car. I therefore had to take an Uber back home, and have my wife bring me back in in the morning.

Great service! Got the service package with my car and at every 5k miles they come and pick it up on time (the time and place you set), take it in for scheduled service with oil change and deliver it right back to you. All for free! Pretty amazing!

I dropped of the car off early and asked about their standard tires and brake pricing. Service agent told he would contact me with details and pricing after they’ve checked the car. No one contacted me about the status for over 4 hours. I had to call several times to find out what was going on. Each time had to go through at least two people to get to the right person. Still got no clear answers but a huge laundry list of unrelated stuff adding up to thousands. On my third attempt on getting a status I was told that my car would be ready in an hour. Hard to trust what they did or did not do. Total lack of communication. 3 hours after I had picked up the car I get a text telling me my car is ready! The only good thing they have is their shuttle service. I will not be back.

My car had the tire pressure sensor going on and off. Cost $155 just to diagnose the problem which takes a matter of minutes to put a device on the outside of the tire where the sensor is located to see what the issue is. It was then going to cost another $200 to get the sensor replaced. A 30 min job that I was able to get diagnosed and changed out at another tire shop for $85. To boot the tires were rotated at the dealer but the tire pressure not checked which was apparent when I went to the tire shop. They also located a nail in one of the tires which was also missed by the Toyota dealership when rotating the tires. I spent about 4 hours for Toyota Koons to change my oil, rotate the tires and tell me that there was a laundry list of other things that needed to be done that would run me over $1000 if I got it all done there. Would highly discourage anyone from going here unless you want to be taken for the type of work that is expected to be done but doesn’t. Look elsewhere and if you have tire issues you will likely have better luck at a local tire shop.

Going forward I will no longer use Toyota for services again. If I had an issue, I kept calling and calling the phone and it just transfers to another department. It’s alway hard to get someone right on the line. Plus, the amount I paid for the service was priced to high. I think they overcharged me as most dealers do. When I left the lot after service was done, the brake light was still on. I’m thinking there’s something still wrong with the car. When I returned to the Toyota the following day, I was already upset because I’m thinking I have to pay for additional service again. I told the guy that my brake light was on. He said “ Was the brake light on before they fixed it?” Well of course not, if I left the lot and afterwards the brake light is on, that means it’s was after service. So it told the guy no it was not. So me still being angry and said that I’m not paying for any additional service, he had a smart mouth and said you would have to. And then I said I will call the police and then he said “ Go ahead call the police”. Long story short, he then told me that the brake handle was on brake I had to push it down. “So why couldn’t they tell me that when I drove off the lot?” So because he was appalled that I said that, he called his coworkers to back him up. I don’t remember what the team member said but he said something like that’s what they usually do, put the car on brake. “ So like I mentioned before, why couldn’t they tell me that before” and I said I’m a female I don’t really know this stuff. Then the team member went on to say, well my mom and cousin know this stuff. “We work on the car, not to teach you about the car.” I was just like really? I will definitely not go to Toyota period. They have bad customer service and they’re too pricey.

I had purchased 4 Continental tires about a year ago from their service department and had issues with them for the past year. Primary issue being bulging tires from the sidewalls. Had to replace the tires 3 times until this last time when the two passenger side tires began to bulge. I was able to contact Warren, a manager in the service department, who was great. He was very knowledgeable in the anatomy of a tire and understood my serious concern of safety. He was able to work a deal out and got me 4 brand new Michelin tires and covered labor cost. I basically got 4 free tires but chose to upgrade and had to pay around the cost of one tire. I feel way more safe in my car now. Thanks Warren for your help and professionalism. I bought 2 cars from this Toyota dealership and always encounter good customer service.

I had an appointment and was told 2 hours would be needed. I checked in at 1 1/2 hours to learn that car hadn’t been touched. I had an appointment, and they released car to me and told me to come back next day. I did. I waited 3 hrs before being told what they wanted to do … preventative maintenance at $1,000. Koons Arlington Toyota is the best. I worked with my local gas station service center for years, assuming the dealership would be too expensive. But when an interior leak proved too hard for the local station to resolve, I learned that Koons is very fair priced and of course they know my beloved 4Runner better than anyone ever could. - pair that with first class service and communication, and their pick up and drop of concierge service, and they are clearly the best choice. ALL of the folks at Koons Arlington Toyota are fantastic, the customer service is beyond “above and beyond,” their shop work is excellent (and guaranteed!), and their pricing ranges between absolutely fair to unexpectedly kind and generous.I grew up generally distrustful of car dealerships… Koons Arlington Toyota has erased that and turned me into their #1 Fan. Knowing that I will receive top quality, honest, and honestly priced car service in a business sector that so often takes unethical advantage of female customers is HUGE. As a woman who totally loves her car and loves driving, that holds important extra value for me.Most recently, I had front-end impact damage (hit a bag of trash at night that was sitting in the middle of the fast lane of an unlighted freeway 🙄 🙏 — no injuries) that not only wiped out my front bumper but dinged my BRAND NEW, newly installed Toyota factory A/C system. Back in town, I called ahead and then drove over to Koons. There (late Friday afternoon), Badr (Service Rep, aka: “Adam”) and Adnan (shop mechanic, “A. D.”) instantly did an intake.They put my car up on the rack, assessed the damage, wrote up a parts+labor estimate, took my insurance contact info (USAA), immediately put me into one of the dealership’s lovely loaner cars (no charge!), and told me to have a good weekend. Adnan followed up by taking SUCH a complete set of damage photos for my insurance company that the adjuster was comfortable accepting their estimate without making an in-person shop visit and settled my claim in one day. (Yes!!)Throughout the process, Badr kept me updated by text and phone call. Whenever Badr was unavailable? His Koons colleagues stepped in quickly and cheerfully to assist me. GREAT team, led in spirit and by example by the INCREDIBLE Koons Arlington Toyota manager Warren Jacobs.Also? Because I have been a good, longtime customer, Badr and Adnan VERY kindly took the initiative to, together, talk to the Parts Department Manager and got me a price break on having the work done with new Toyota parts versus aftermarket equivalents. I went for 2013 Toyota Prius Recall Repair and while at it, I asked to get an oil change. After 3 hrs being there, the service rep came to tell me the Oil filter was too tight and while the mechanic trying to loosen the housing part, it got damaged and now leaking oil. He said since it was the fault of the previous mechanic who did the oil change, that I should go there to get a refund of what they are about to charge me for the repair of the damage. I ask him why the mechanic did not inform me once he noticed the filter is too tight before he use unnecessary force and damage it. The person just kept giving me the same answer of the fault being with the previous mechanic without no apologetic manner*! Very disappointed and left 4 more hours after the promised 3 hrs waiting time. I got there at 10:30am with prearranged appointment and a promise of 3 hrs wait time, but I end-up leaving at 5:15pm.I hope the leadership of this business place will take customers feedback seriously and implement it in practice*!!!

Dropped car off 7:15 am. They charged $300 for a diagnostic service that wasn’t needed. The ac needed to be recharged, vehicle returned smelling like they put a dead animal in the vents. They charge $97 for routine service or rotate tires, check fluid etc. none of which I don’t believe was done. The tire light was still on. It seemed like they did nothing to the vehicle except for that it started blowing cold air again. I got no updates during process. I attempted to call several times to get updates and kept getting passed around to different people. I requested to speak with a manager and got a voicemail. Then after and hour and a half of several calls attempting to get an update, only received a text that car was ready. No explanation about what was done etc. the total cost was $401. I never did get to discuss the situation with anyone.

The rep insisted I was wrong. 45 minutes into the appointment my vehicle had not moved from the parking lot and I was informed it would take an additional hour and a half after they get started. Very Expensive... $155/hr. Coolant leak, $86 in parts, $450 in labor. Quote on catalytic Conver replacement was over $1100. Brand new converter on EBay is $116 and has 4 bolts. How in the world would that cost $1100? Brake and Rotor replacement was comparable but still high. Went to get my truck and sat for 30 minutes for them to find paperwork and keys. Friendly staff... just not worth the extra cost. Addition notes. Billing booth has stacks and stacks of old invoices... does not exude confidence that my personal information is secure. They gave me a multi page invoice in duplicate and other pages... huge waste of paper when invoice can be sent via email. Not a green operation with the huge waste of paper per customer. Maybe the Bobs from Office Space needs to visit.

Purchased my vehicle here aprox. 3 years ago everything was smooth when it was under warranty. I recently started paying for services out of pocket and the tables turned. Our service advisor Oscar first recommended new tires, we opted to get them done elsewhere. During our following visit he recommended new brakes and before deciding if wed get them done with them or not he started brushing us off and getting rude. During my visit this weekend for an oil change and a brake re-evalve I asked for the vehicle top off summary and he dispatched me by saying we didnt do it since you never get any other services done with us anyways. I was only given a receipt of services done and ignored. Highly disappointed with the customer.

Check engine light had been on for a few months on my 2004 corolla. Local mechanic said he couldnt find any problem with it. Went a couple times. obd showed Small Evap leak code. Changed gas cap to no avail. He couldnt find the leak so cleared the code. Emissions test came due and the car wouldnt pass emissions because of the same code ...small evap leak. Took it back to local mechanic. He still couldnt find the leak. So I took it to Koons Toyota Arlington and they found the leak and fixed it. It cost a pretty penny but the car passed inspection and now I dont have to get a new car. Im very pleased! Also Jay was was super nice and provided Lyft ride to get me home to DC while car stayed overnight for repair. Fortunately for me I could work from home for the 2 days my car was in the shop and I got a Lyft ride back to the dealer when the car was ready for pick up so there was no inconvenience. Im very happy I took my car to this dealership! They did a great job and provided Excellent customer service!

I’ve been taking my series of well loved and worn cars to mechanics across the US as a solo female customer for over 15 years and the way I felt after taking my car here is high on the list of least favorite mechanic experiences. I brought it in for a second opinion about why my car was burning oil. I tried to learn what I could about what could be happening and what sorts of tests would be reasonable to ask for so I could have some credibility (learned that lesson the hard way several times over the years). I like working with people who can answer my questions and help me understand the 101 of whatever car problem I’m paying them to fix. When I dropped the car off, I understood what test they were going to run and what information would then be available to me. When I picked it up the next day, I asked for the results of the test. I know I don’t understand it all and yet documentation is important. I was informed the test had not been run. I then had to dig to figure out how they could tell me where the oil leak was if they had not run the test and why the test was not run. After all the work to prepare my minimal knowledge, I still had to ask several specific questions to finally understand how they found what they did. That none of this information was offered in advanced or even thought as valuable to me as a customer is the ongoing frustration I have about taking my car to be fixed by anyone. That I can be asked to hand over a month’s paycheck from one of my jobs without being offered an explanation upfront is down right bananas. That I was handed the bill and expected to pay quickly was also bananas. The formatting of the bill is confusing, busy, and not intuitive. My most generous read is this business is too big with too many specialized jobs where lack of communication with the customer suffers. I’ll keep looking for a small shop who can answer my questions. I don’t mind paying when my time and money feel respected.

But I want you to a location to drop my car off I talk to my representative and he explained to me that I will have to pay $150 diagnostic charge but if I get to service theyre the fee will be waived. They try not to honor the way in the Sea Service I did get the service. They also told me my car will be running perfectly and they fix the problems of the concern that I had. I got a state inspection. They called me and told me I needed to replace my windshield wipers to pass inspection; they replaced them on the spot and had my car ready quicker than expected.

This review is for the used sales department.A friend of mines called and arranged an appointment to test drive a GX 460 at home . Jaime C. was prompt on addressing this issue and arranged a test drive the same day. However, as the appointment time gets closer, Jaime claims he is waiting for another customer appointment and will get back. Jaime never got back and claimed again this other appointment was set many days ahead and he has been calling the other customer but never received any updates.I don’t understand, why promise another customer an appointment time when you have been calling another customer to set up an appointment time, and doesn’t get back to him (Jaime)? Did Jaime ever think that my friend (who was very interested in the GX 460), was not a priority and just lost a potential buyer?

Not good. Left side wheel problems were not found and fixed. That was the main reason I went the store.Second the worst is, all my personal documents were pulled out from my car drawer, left on my right-side seat. Thats not something your guys should touch and search.

Disappointed today. Glove box fell onto floor, no sticker as to when to return for my next visit, and the person who reviewed my report tried to tell me I needed brake work even though I had rotors and pads installed by a certified mechanic 1 week ago. I bought the extended service plan otherwise it’s $85 to change the oil. I just got new tires so they didn’t even do the rotation.

I went in for an oil change and my first VA inspection sticker. When I returned to pick up my car they informed me that they had changed the rear brakes as well, claiming they were dangerous, we couldnt legally let you drive out of here with them. My rear brakes had been changed six months before and I had driven less than 5,000 miles with them. I asked to see the old drums but was told that wouldnt be possible. Absolute SCAM. Apparently Virginia (unlike Pennsylvania where I had lived preciously) does not require mechanics to contact you before they do hundreds of dollars of repairs to your car. Worst experience with a dealership in years. Avoid.
