Got a huge rough cut nail in my tire on Rte 50. Made a terrible noise. Tried two other places for quick help on a Saturday at noon but they were too busy. These guys squeezed me in, patched n balanced the tire n I was done in 30 minutes on a very hot day with my ancient dog n I waiting in the shade. Lifesavers. Only $29.

Came here for the State Safety Inspection, staff were polite and efficient. The time estimate they gave was accurate and I was out in under 30 min. Will definitely be coming here in the future, my experience generally left a good impression.

Great service, convenient location, easy to schedule, good work... never have a complaint with any work theyve done. One caveat is that if youre in a situation where you have to wait for your car, the waiting room is tiny and theres no customer wifi.

Very honest and trustworthy. They have performed service on my car for the past few years and I have found their prices to be good and work to be excellent. But the honesty is what keeps me coming back. They have told me when I didnt need to do certain things, or when I could hold off on certain repairs. If they couldnt find what was causing a problem, they didnt try random fixes like some other places do. They kept working at it, or had me bring it back when the problem arose again. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an honest auto mechanic.

I needed to get my car inspected as a new resident of Arlington. The first place I tried to go to not far away had terrible service and didn’t want to help me at all. I decided to just go somewhere else.I found these guys online and had great reviews. Stopped by and waited to get my car inspected, had such a great time. Not knowing any local mechanics, I came here by chance. these guys helped me out and gave me contact info for transmissions shops that they deemed were reputable (and they indeed were). I wasnt able to give them any business (since they were not a transmission shop and couldnt help me with my transmission problem), but nonetheless, they still took an active interest in helping me out.

I called to ask about the cost to install my headlights in my 14 Ford Fusion to decide if I should do the work myself or pay to have it done. After being on hold so they could check they said it should be very easy and less than $50. I asked again to confirm, stating I had seen it being much more difficult on the Ford Fusion. They confirmed and said bring it down. I leave work early and drive down there to find out they had never seen a 2014 or newer Ford Fusion and the labor alone would be over $150 because of the difficulty and time required to change the bulb. Wasted 30 minutes of my day driving there when my answer could have been solved over the phone.

This no frills establishment looks like its been there for 100 years. I believe that theres a reason that. The customer service that I receive when I take my truck their feels like its from another era. The employees arent so much friendly as they are straight forward and honest. Its the type of mechanic that you hope to find when you move to a new place. You can count on them getting the job done and for a fair price.

These guys are straight-shooters. I went in with an engine overheating problem, coolant leaking. They could have effed me for a busted head gasket (over $1k parts and labor) but found the true problem (much cheaper). They called me and told me what was going on and asked for the OK to go ahead and fix it. I had the car back in 3 days.On a separate occasion I also had an electrical problem a few months ago. Brought the car in and gave a description. Started walking home, I got about 3 blocks before they called me back saying the problem was very small, a burned-out wiring harness or something. They had the part on-hand so they told me to come back. By the time I got there it had already been fixed, no charge because it was so easy. I tipped the guy $10 anyway as a show of good faith.Edit: Years later I moved away and havent found a better mechanic shop since.

I came in needing a state inspection. With a lot full of cars, I made the incorrect assumption that they wouldn’t be able to get to my car within a few days. They smiled and said to pull on up and they’d work on mine next. I was in and out within 30 minutes for a state inspection and emissions test. While I was waiting outside, a mechanic came out and brought me a foldable chair! All around fantastic service. Highly recommend them.

Brought my car in with a transmission in need of replacement from another mechanics diagnosis which would have cost $3k+. Cherrydale motors diagnosed the real issue and fixed my transmission for ~$100. Very grateful.

Excellent experience getting my leaky tire repaired. After a quick call they were able to squeeze me in even though it was obvious they were very busy. They quickly identified the problem and repaired the tire with no up-sell pressure. Couldnt complain about the $20 price tag either. I think theyve just found a new regular customer.

This place does a great job on your car. Very reasonably priced. Been living in the area for over 20 years and only found out about them recently. I hate to give them such a good review because it will make it harder to get in there. The front lot is always swamped with cars being repaired. Thats tells you a lot about the establishment. Kind of like when you see a lot of truckers camped out at a restaurant.

Cherrydale Motors provided a pleasant experience for my automotive repairs (which can rarely be said)! While I didnt tell them that I knew all of the issues with my car, they hit every one on the head. Furthermore, they didnt follow-up with a list of $5,000+ unneccessary repairs as the dealership normally does. They completed the repairs in a timely fashion, kept tight communications, and were extremely professional both in-person and over the phone. I highly recommend Cherrydale Motors to those who are looking for reliable and cost-efficient repairs.

Does not know what a Catted Y pipe looks like on a car. Guy at the front desk calls me at the end of the day to tell me to “take my car back to Pontiac.” My heart skipped for a second with excitement to learn the entire company of Pontiac had been resurrected overnight with shops all over town.Thought I was dealing with people that knew what they were talking about...Waste of time.

Great, honest service and a quick turnaround on getting my car back. Being open until 6:00 on some days and having weekend hours is a HUGE plus. At a different mechanic, I was told my car would would need $1300 worth of work to pass inspection, but at Cherrydale they looked at my car and told me that it was only a $300 issue. Theyve earned a customer for life!

Ive only had great experiences with Cherrydale Motors. I have taken my car to be inspected there (cheap!) and to have repairs. As a woman, Ive always heard about not being treated fairly in manland, but that was not my experience with Cherrydale. After recharging the battery on my 30-year old van with broken alternator, these guys fixed it up, priced it not high or low but fairly and reasonably. They are real straight shooters and like to call your sir and vice versa. I had an engine issue for YEARS that several mechanics couldnt figure out, nor could several family friends who work as mechanics. These guys, they were the ones who figured out the issue, and I worked with them to finally fix it. These are my go-to local mechanics. For a 30 year old car, a lot of mechanics will turn you away or give you lip service and say they cant fix it because its too inconvenient for them, these guys will try to fix it if its possible, which is what I call true professionalism.

Staff was condescending when I asked to fix a nail in my tire, and told me they would not be able to help until the afternoon. Meanwhile, the single mechanic next door (Gray’s Auto Services) was able to patch my tire in less than five minutes and without treating me like an idiot.

Great experience here! I cant thank them enough! I had failed my inspection at another garage and the they tried to sell me what would have cost 350 dollars after parts and labor, for a simple fix. I took my car to Cherrydale Motors, they were polite and friendly. They made the repair which they said was easy and they didnt charge me a dime! I was able to pass inspection no problem. Real genuine honest folks working here. I will go back with any future problems and you should too!

This review is overdue. Earlier this month I was moving to area when my car suddenly wouldnt start. Needless to say I was stressed out from my move and I didnt need this on top the thousand other things I needed to do. I had my car towed to Cherrydale Motors on Saturday. Monday I received a call from them stating the car miraculously started and that I should come and pick it up. They could have easily come up with some bogus problem and charged me. They chose to tell the truth and for that Im thankful. Very honest shop and I will bring my car to them in the future.

They are all about the bottom line- aka the money they can make out of you. I went in and saw the pictures of family and soccer teams on the wall, thinking “oh that’s sweet- a mom and pop shop”. But I then realized they don’t care about being ‘good humans’- just to make the $$. I went over for an oil change and to check a ‘check engine light’. They didn’t give me a price for the oil change and said checking the engine light would be $65. We discussed it and the man said in the end they would only charge me if they end up doing the service. I left my car there and two days later (took them two days to do an oil change) I got a call that the oil change is done but they would not check the ‘check engine light’ unless I paid. I told them, for the second time, I’m getting rid of my car so I won’t pay $65 for them to just plug in a little device and read it for me and it turns out to be something unnecessary. I told them they don’t need to do it and I would just come pay for the oil change, pick up my car and leave. I get there and the man continues to try to persuade me that I should pay $65 to have him check the light. (They also tried selling me some other service on the phone). I explained that I know autozone would do the same thing for FREE and he said ‘autozone is not reliable’. They use exactly the same device to read so I’m not exactly sure how reliability is determined here. They ended up charging me $103 for an oil change- so exactly the same price I paid at the dealership! Which kinda sucks because I was hoping it would be cheaper at a smaller shop.I went to Autozone and they checked my engine light for free, and gave me a print out explaining the diagnosis and what I need to do for the car. For the heck of it, I asked at autozone how much that device costs to read the car’s computers, they said $65!!! So- with the $65 Cherrydale Motors wanted to charge me, I could just buy the device and read every check engine light on my own.Basically- all in all a general disappointment. I can say my ‘change oil soon light’ is no longer on- so that’s a plus for Cherrydale ... but other than that, I never saw what they did in changing the oil, why it took them two days to do it, and why it cost me $103. In terms of customer service- I think the above message gets it all.

Very impressed with the service at Cherrydale Motors this morning. They were attentive and punctual.

Their parking lot stays full, but they were able to get in and out for a safety inspection in half an hour. The staff were polite and happy to answer any questions.

Highly qualified mechanics, outstanding customer service, utterly honest - highly ethical. They will work with you to solve any problem. As in our case, with a couple of older vehicles, they searched for reliable used parts to keep our costs lower (for a Mercedes and a Suburban). If you are buying a used car as our daughter just did, they will give a thorough assessment. They are willing to discuss their opinions about car performance and reliability if you are in market for a vehicle. They also work on classic/antique cars - the owner, Wade Aylor, is a specialist in this as well. Your car will be treated with TLC!

Went there for a VA inspection. Took no more than 15 minutes

Today i need to get the oil changed and fix a rattle while accelerating. They quoted me $300 for a u joint plus another $2000 in other fixes that I needed. They also changed $11 extra for an oil additive that I didnt ask for on top of the regular oil change . He said, It helps viscosity. Looking online and talking to the mechanics at Joyce, this is BS. I took it to Joyce Motors and they repaired the u joint for $100 less.

They dont have flexible schedules.
