Easy to make an appointment, wonderful customer service. Very clear descriptions of costs and things that could be fixed. I loved that they told me I have a few things that need fixed but they’re probably good for another year. Really trustworthy!

I give this place 2 stars because if you take your car here they will do good work. My car clearly runs better after having its oil changed there. However, beware because they will overcharge you and wont provide details about what is wrong with your car.They called me and told me I had a problem with the wiring in the back of my car and that it would be an additional $700 to repair it. Because that is a lot of money, I asked for more details about the issue. They would only tell me a wire was damaged but couldnt tell me more about the problem. The lack of information was suspicious to me, so I refused to let them fix the issue and I took my car to the Liberty gas station on Glebe Rd. The people at Liberty were able to clearly explain the situation to me (including sending me pictures!).

Got my new Chevy Colorado inspected here and they were very fast and professional!

Was visiting from out of town and needed an oil change before the 700 mile trip home. They got me in very quickly and offered me honest information and a good price. Very kind to work with and they were done in less than an hour.

I went to Joyce Motors for first time to do my cars state inspection. They never knew me and they also dont know that I will go to there shop or not in future, but, still their behavior and professionalism was so good that I will go there now every time. There was no queue as well so I didnt have to wait much. Their service is also top class and they located in heart of Arlington, so I would recommend to go there for your state and emission inspection.

Dropped in for a vehicle inspection. Prompt, efficient, and when a small bulb was discovered burnt out in the inspection, they just replaced it and continued. Unlike another garage, who noted a similar easy-to-replace problem but simply gave my car a failed inspection and moved on to the next customer! Ill be coming back here.

I have been taking my cars to Joyce Motors for a number of years now and I have always been satisfied with their service. They listen to the customer, take the time to answer questions, will provide repair options if requested, never give the hard sell to do other work, and their repair estimates are consistently spot on. I have used a number of repair shops in the North Arlington area over the years and I think Joyce Motors is the best one out there. I always feel I am getting professional service at a reasonable price.

Took my 1973 Ford F-100 in for an inspection which revealed I needed new rear wheel brake cylinders and a light switch. Susan, Nick and the team there were patient when my parts supplier provided an incorrect part. Took it back a few days later. The mechanic, Nick, even asked if the brake pedal was higher than it should be after the work since he wanted to ensure all was correct. Confirmed to him it was. Appreciated the follow up. Great work by personable people. Cant recommend them highly enough. Thank you to the team at Joyce Motors.

Definitely plan to spend a solid chunk of time even it is just for a safety inspection. Came here on a Friday to be told it’ll be a 20-30 minute wait, completely fine. An hour went by & I had to leave. Came back on a Monday & was told the same wait time. Again, waited an hour but I thought I would just finally stick it out!

Ive been a customer for many years. Their prices are fair, and the service is respectful and courteous. They let you know what theyve found and what they recommend. I trust them to give me a straight expert judgment and not an opinion to inflate what is needed. Ive stopped by with a low tire light, and they checked for a problem and gave me air for free, which fixed it. They are good with cars!

Went in for a safety and emissions inspection and ended up needing two repairs to fix it. One was a simple fix of putting in a light bulb, the other to fix my passenger door. All in all, I ended up paying for 4 hours of labor to get it all fixed - figured it would be quicker and easier to get it done there and reinspected than take it to the mechanic Ive used in the past.Not long after I get the car back, I realize they actually fixed nothing on my passenger door. So I take the car back and am told we tried to save you money and make the easy fix. The guy, Joe, tells me to actually Ill need to purchase new parts to get the full fix. I agree, but contingent upon there being no additional labor costs which Joe agreed to. After waiting 5 days because they purchased the wrong part, I pick my car up with the problem fixed. On my bill is the cost for parts (fine) and another hour of labor ($100). I leave a message about my issue and get a call back a couple of days later.They claimed I was told there would be no additional labor for diagnostics. NO KIDDING, they already knew what the problem was and charged me two hours to NOT FIX IT. So I ask for a refund but am told Its my word against his and am given the choice of $50 back or nothing.NEVER BRING YOUR CAR TO THESE PEOPLE. ITS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.

Horrible from start to finish. They’ll lie to you repeatedly then try to sell you the extended warranty. They’re lucky Hondas basically sell themselves and the next dealership is far enough away to be inconvenient. I may buy another Honda, but never again from them.

Ive taken multiple cars to Joyce over the years. Today I had trouble getting a headlight cover off -- $55 they charged me. Claimed 1/2 hour of work. So much for customer appreciation. I wont be back.

DISHONEST! I am so angry with Joyce Motors. Over two years ago I took my Honda Fit into them because my fan stopped working on any level but high. They said that the resistors were blown out and that they were connected to the blower motor. They said it would cost over $300 to replace the parts. I decided that it wasnt worth the cost so for the last two-plus years I have been driving around with only the high setting on my A/C or heat being able to work. Last week my friend rode in my car and told me how easy it was to replace the resistor pack and that they it is a separate part from the blower. I ordered the part online for $10 and spent 15 minutes replacing the resistor pack. My fan now works on all settings. Joyce Motors tried to swindle me out of $300. They will likely do the same thing to you. Do not have your car serviced here!

I went there at 7:30 in the morning and everyone was very respectful and nice and honest and on time. The owner Susan was super sweet and nice and Tech John was very honest and quick and he helped fix my tires in less than 5 mins. If I could give this place more than 5 starts I would.

A mechanic listened to the strange sound my truck’s engine was making, and he was able to track it down. They got the replacement parts and all the work done that same day, and the mechanic took the time afterwards to show me what the problem had been - great service!

I have been a customer of Joyce Motors for many years and I have never been disappointed with their service. David, the lead auto mechanic, is excellent. He is both professional and trustworthy. My car is 14 years old and still runs like a charm!

Fast and courteous service. Went there for a Virginia safety inspection ... The guy said I wasnt going to pass bc of a few lights being out. He said He could replace them, and one he just tapped to get to work and Voila Passed Inspection and low cost to replace the bulbs!!!! Will be back for other auto services!!!!

This place is a joke.. they will tell you something is wrong just to make extra money off of you. Stay away from Joyce Motors.

They are very nice and they have helped with inspection services before for me. I took it in with the idea that my wheel bearing had gone bad, but living in the city I dont have my own garage so I took it in, told them the wheel bearing was bad. They told me it was the brakes, and me not having the time to investigate I took them at their word. 500 dollars later my car was still making that sound. Took it back in was told it was the axle bearing assembly and was told it would take 600 to fix. My car sat for a bit but i eventually fixed it with 57 dollars and my own labor. replaced the wheel bearing hub in 30 mins. No matter the mechanic you go to always ask to see what was removed and what they are changing, cars are expensive, and they carry you to where you need to be, ive learned my lesson, ill have to be more attentive and not rely on anyone else for my car problems.

I love these guys. They are the most honest mechanics who have ever walked the earth.

To give you the best idea of this place, Ive uploaded my last statement to their public photo. They called my father-in-law instead of me with the estimate. Pretty sure I wouldve laughed in their face if they told me a brake job was 800 bucks.

Great service. I tried some amateur repairs and they fixed my car up for less than the others were charging. And when I took it back later for another problem which only the dealership could fix they did not charge me anything for them to look at it.

Joyce Motors has one mechanic that I trust with everything. His name is John Elliston and he has 17 years experience as a auto mechanic. Hes a good guy.

Something happened during repairing my car which was due to the rusts not them, they just charged me for that second part not the labor. Overally nothing was wrong; mechanics are polite and communicate well, the car was ready in time, and the prices were reasonable.

This place should close down. Its so dirty, and no one is ever there to help you, they have no one at the desk so you have to wait for the mechanic or inspector to finish working on the car they have and then chances are high they will come and say they cannot take your car. I waited for 45 min after my name was on the signing list and they saw me in their wait room, then the inspector came to me to say that I will have to come back the day after.

If you want to get ur car inspection done. Dont go near that place. They have a ramp to roll the car in the bay. If ur car isnt an suv or a truck consider ur car is damaged.The mechanic drove a Prius over the ramp almost got stuck on the ramp then he forced the car up scrubbing the frame.Update on my review:The owner assured me that they will take care of the ramp issue, and the mechanic will be more carefull when he drives the cars into the bay. I heard many great reviews on on joyce motors hopefully they will take care of the ramp problem soon.

Incredibly overpriced. I provided the part and was still charged over $200 for a simple installation that should be $30-$40. Stay away from this place because it is a rip off.

Thanks for checking my rating. I keep returning but never like the feeling I get when Im there. Stuffy waiting room, cold reception, and I get the feeling Im being taken advantage of when coming in for vehicle inspections, since somehow theres always something wrong and magically expensive that needs fixing. Ive recently decided to go elsewhere even though its less convenient I now receive the service I expect.

These folks are great. My sister has been going to them for a decade or so, and nothing but good results. They just fixed up my sorely neglected car at a very reasonable price. As I understand it, the owner has a strict no screwing with people policy, so they are very straight forward about telling you about what you actually need, with no BS. I can also recommend Amfor automotive up near Rockville.
