Moved to VA and needed an inspection. Called ahead to gauge the wait time. There was none so I showed up and was out of there in 15 mins.

Rolled into this service center as my car was smoking from severe overheating - I barely was able to pull into the shop.The mechanics quickly diagnosed the issue as a cracked radiator and actually showed me the blatant issue. I googled the estimated cost and was quoted $500-$1000 at various other locations. The staff ensured it would not exceed $500 in repairs.My car wouldnt even start again to move it away from the front of the bay as I was waiting for my buddy to pick me up..They told me not to worry, this is fairly common and would wait until the car was completely cool in the morning to try again.Sure enough they called me the next day letting me know the car started right up in the morning and would be finished the following day so that I could get to work. The cost was indeed under $500.Excellent mechanics, supreme customer service, and all at a fantastic price. Highly recommend this place after my experience.
Hours are not as listed on Google. Google says 8pm but inspector leaves at 5 pm. Service was quick, probably because it wasnt busy. Just make sure you double check the diagnosis during inspection.
I take my car here every year for the inspection needed to drive Lyft. It certifies for both VA and MD. He is prompt and Ive never had to wait long. Small corner location. Not a lot of seating inside.
Over the past weekend, my battery died because I am not commuting regularly (COVID, working for home). I called my Insurance (GEICO) to get a jump from Roadside assistance, but they quoted me the highest price for a new battery (pulled the range from Google which said batteries could be anywhere from $70-$290, saw that GIECO quoted me at $270 for just the battery, and they would pay the labor). I opted to just get the jump, and call to see around if there were any garages that could price lower. I was not sure that there would even be any garages open, and was about to just leave my car there until GIECO could price me lower.My first call was the Foreign Car Service. Admittedly, their phone line was SUPER hard to hear, but they were nice, repeated themselves, and said that they were 90% sure they already had the battery type I needed on hand. I literally drove right over, their quote for $150 for the battery and $25 for the labor was spot on - I paid exactly $185 at the end of the services ($10 worth of tax).I drove out with a new battery in under 25 minutes. Turns out, the reason why they were hard to hear on the phone, was that they were wearing masks and trying to keep as safe as possible (purell was offered at the door, they wore gloves, respected social distancing guidelines), while we were all in lock down. These guys are HARD WORKING PEOPLE that are willing to continue to service our area while we are under lockdown. I will for sure head there again if I have any other issues with my car. - Nicole
Well Sean had excellent customer service. If u need an inspection in a timely manner, this is your place. Should u have to wait, there are several shopping and food options in walking distance. Oh and bring extra money in case u need to fix anything to pass inspection because they can fix it there.

I understand the place is busy on Saturdays for car inspections. I also understand there may have been people in line before me when I got there. I was told by the owner when I arrived that I was first in line. After 30 min waiting for the inspector, I was told by another worker that I needed to move my car to the fourth spot. The owner, before leaving, said not to let anybody go in front of me. There was a miscommunication between that guy and the owner and due to this miscommunication, I will never get the hour and thirty minutes of my time that I spent waiting back. I was offered a soda in exchange for this and no discount. I would like to speak to the owner regarding this incident.
PLEASE READ: The mechanics are great and very friendly. The cashier with the glasses is friendly as well. That being said, there is an old man that works as a cashier that is either racist or senile. There’s no other explanation for him to treat me the way he treated me. I would love to come back but because of him I will not be. This place has lost all future business from me. He is that bad. If the owner is reading this, you need to do something about it. If there is any further action I can pursue, other than leaving a bad review, I will be doing so.
Never ever ever go to this place. The old, bald at the register tried to rip me off by saying he couldnt cancel a transaction when I didnt want to buy a bottle of oil. THEN he wanted to give me the wrong change. And to top it off, he had allowed me to use the air at his garage for $2 which was nice-- but then when we were having a disagreement about the change he owed me--- he literally screamed at me and went to my car, took my the cap of the tire, and had his key out to try to drain the air out of my tire. NEVER go here.
Do not go here. I brought my car in to have an emissions test, and since I recently moved to the area I needed a state inspection too. They told me I failed the inspection because there was a little moisture in one of the headlights. I paid and left. That evening I got a ticket from a police officer for not having an inspection sticker, because the guy who did my inspection forgot to put the failed sticker on the window. I went back to see if they could put the sticker in to cover myself for a couple days before I could get the headlight re-sealed and they said there was no record of me having had an inspection. I showed them my receipt, which wasnt itemized but I assumed it was payment for both services I had requested, and they said that charge was just for the emissions test. So basically, I was fined $50 because this guy forgot to put the sticker on my car, and they couldnt have cared less. They offered no apology or accountability for their negligence, and totally wasted my time. HOW ARE THESE PEOPLE LICENSED BY THE STATE??

Had to take a company car there to get inspection done. The guys there were nice. There were two cars ahead of me so I had wait a bit, but my inspection was done within 15 minutes.
Stupid/rabish owner. I went from Fredrick bcos of VA inspection. But the store was closed. They close at 5:00 pm But they web show 8:00 pm. This is not joke. Who gonna pay this gas or miles when anybody go to from far away. This is what kind of stupidity.
I’ve had my inspections done here numerous times and it’s always been quick and professional.
The staff are nice but the cashier attendant is rude and disrespectful! Find another mechanic or gas station! After getting my car inspected the staff parked my car at the pump. I paid for my inspection and got in my car, some old guy came out screaming you need to move your car! He proceeded to curse me and placed trash cans in front of my car because I was not ready to leave. Lets make this guy a lesson when your rude to customers who pay your bills you will suffer!

Stopped for air at 7am, place is closed. Air for $1.50?!?! Then 7 quarters later, yes, 1 extra just in case I miscounted, no air, no sound, nothing... sad looking place all around though.
They actually close at 2PM not 4PM. They need to update that, specially for people doing a long trip...Not cool at all whoever put 4PM.

This place does not believe in customer service. You are not allowed to ask questions, they will hang up on you when you try to make an appointment.
