They did a PPI (Porsche Pre-Inspection) on a 2008 Cayenne GTS that I was looking to purchase. I dealt with CJ who was the ultimate professional. He was very knowledgeable, patient, easy to work with and followed up as he had promised he would. My experience with CJ and this team was so good, that after I decided to go ahead with the purchase of the vehicle, that I used them for a couple of minor repairs prior to the car being shipped to me. I wish that that I had a mechanic like them close to where I live.Highly recommended!!!

My car died three days before I planned to move... unexpected stress in an already stressful time. I emailed APC and got a prompt response to set up an appointment! When my car died AGAIN the next day, they got me in early and even provided me with tow truck information in case I needed it.Chris and the rest of the Arlington Performance team made this whole process so easy and smooth, and pricing was more than reasonable. Not only will I continue to work with them, I’ve already told my family in the area that if they need their car worked on, this is the place to go!

This was my first time taking my Porsche 911 to APC. I cant say enough about what great service and professionalism they offer! Chris and CJ were awesome! This issue turned out to be a minor one, and they were 100% honest and told me exactly what was wrong. Ive used Porsche dealerships a few times in past years and will NEVER do that again. The shop is immaculately clean and very nice inside! First-class all the way! I will be using them for all my future repairs with this car and also my Cayenne!

I brought my car in to the APC because my car ABC red light was on and car did not drive correctly.and the went over it.After a few days they called me and said, we have good news and bad new about what we found on the car.They told me good new is we found the problem and we can fix the problem...Bad news is the cost is $2800.00.I told the shop to fix it...I paid the $2800.00 and drove off.The next day the red ABC light came back on.When I brought it back to the APC center they said it’s something else wrong with the car.I explain to them that they said what it needs and I paid that, Mabey it did not need what they did the first time.I told them give me a refund for the $28000.00 and start over.Because I paid the $2800.00 wand though it was fixed.We they did not give me my money back but the did charge me $600 more because the made a problem under the hood just to get more money out of the customer.I week later all the hydraulic fluid oil fell out of the call when I went to gas station to fill up.I think a APC cut my hydraulic fluid lines with small cuts so that in a week it would blow up I would have brought it back to them again for a another $1500.00Please do t every bring your car to APC Arlington hts.Terrible customer service when I explained to Chris the owner he had no idea what I was talking about but the guys working the counter informed me that Chris knew everything what was going on and in fact he didn’t know what was going on so there’s a scam going on somewhere between the bad guys and the guys to take your orders so people beware you go in there for one thing and you’re coming out with two or three other problems their gypsies don’t use them!!!

I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years with APC. Every one of my cars has been serviced by APC with no issues and at a significant savings. I have recommended APC to family and friends and to date, no one has ever been disappointed. Every job is explained in detail so we can make a decision on whether a fix is necessary or not. I cannot say enough about the honesty, quality and value provided by APC.

My experience with Arlington Performance is mixed. They do very good work and also press you to do very expensive repairs without regard for the age/value of your car. I recently took an older SUV in for service; the car, while in good overall condition, is worth perhaps $7,000. I was told it needed to have two gaskets replaced due to oil leaks (which have not caused even one drop of oil on my driveway). They also recommended (since the engine was apart) that I also replace the timing chain and do various other front suspension repairs (which were not safety related). With the needed routine maintenance, the total came roughly $5,000.The AP service salesman pressed me pretty hard to do these repairs. But given the value of the car I decided to get a second opinion. So I took it back to the dealer from which it was purchased. After an extensive review with the service manager, we decided to do only routine maintenance with the understanding that we will employ “watchful waiting” on the leaks and timing chain. Total bill was $700 with a 10% discount.So, while AP may/may not have been correct in their full diagnosis, their focus was on doing repairs, not on helping a (now former) customer make a sound economic decision. It’s been a week or so since this experience and I share it so that others can be aware; and perhaps pause before ponying up for thousands in repair costs that may long outlive their vehicle.

Getting the referral to bring my BMW into APC was the best auto decision I have made. The service was excellent, Jimmy is always polite and happy to see you. The diagnostics are very professional and timely. I would definitely recommend

Extreeeemely excellent customer service. They even offered to pick me up since I only lived a few houses away and I had an injury. Fast turnaround. I was expecting that this type of service would have taken a couple of days but they did it faster than expected. All service was explained in detail. They even have an app that notes the exact service that is needed to make it easy to understand. Reasonable, fair prices. Highly recommend this honest repair shop.

This place is amazing!! No matter which Service Advisor you work with, Mike, or CJ, the service is top notch!! They explain everything and even send videos to show you your vehicle and what the issue is they are going to repair. I always feel confident the issue will be repaired to my satisfaction. They also do a great job of informing you of repairs, maintenance, etc. to be aware of down the road. No pun intended. This team is fair, honest and cost-effective. They have helped me with new cars and at least one that was headed for donation. These are foreign cars with typically high priced parts etc. Arl Perf Cent went out of their way to give me practical advice and repair the cars with a mind towards costs even when I noted I was not price sensitive. I have recommended them to others and was happy to write this note.

If you want to pay a lot of money for nothing feel free to use this place. They supposedly fixed my car, next day the steering pump goes. I called and they said they noticed that but didnt have time to fix it. Now 23,000 miles later the fuel pump has gone again. That was 1,100 dollars that I threw out the window. If you want that to happen to you go ahead and take it here.

These guys are great. We love working with Jimmy and everyone else there. Our family trust him explicitly! Anytime we have had an issue with our cars he has come to the rescue. This place is great! While no one wants to have issues with their vehicles, Arlington Performance Center actually makes it an enjoyable experience. They sent an inspection report with pictures on their findings. I’ve never had an auto repair shop be so transparent.Staff there were extremely friendly and calmly answer all your questions. Jimmy answered all my questions and took the time to go into great detail.If you’re in the northwest suburbs (or anywhere for that matter), I’ll go out of my way to take my car here for any repairs!

Mark, Chris and the team over there are phenomenal. While they specialize in foreign cars, they have worked on my domestics for years and done a great job. Its really hard to find mechanics you truly trust and these are the ones for my family. They do all of our work on every car. Not the cheapest but I want it fixed right and dont want to keep going back unless its for routine maintenance. Great people, great work. Highly recommended.

My grandpa has been coming here years. And now I will as well!Here is a reflection of my experience so far with Chris and Jimmy.I went over a big pothole and blew up one of my tires. A month later I realized there were more problems. It was driving very odd and one of my tires on the opposite side went bald out of no where. I brought to one place that looked for about 30 minutes and told me it was suspension problems and quoted me. I brought it here for a second opinion. They spent days checking and rechecking to make sure they have identified all the problems for me. I trust their judgment. They have been amazingly thorough with inspecting my vehicle! What I also appreciate is the patience they have with all my questions, even when I ask the same questions multiple times for reassurance. Very good at calling me to keep me updated on what they are finding with my vehicle. I needed a lot of repairs and do have all the money for everything, but it would be easier to wait for some things. . Instead of worrying about getting money from me, and insisting everything is an immediate issue, they helped me prioritize the problems. They told me what I need done to get back to driving, and what I can wait a month or so for. My car will be done Monday or wednesday next week and I could not be happier. I have been without a car for 2 months and it has been hard. Very pleased that I was referred here and that I will be able to get back to driving. Very honest, trustworthy shop with good mechanics.

Very good work but they installed a catalytic converter, I dont know if its new or what because the engine idles funny sometimes. People say they do excellent work, I agree but tbe converter issue is annoying.

I have dealt with several auto repair facilities over the years, Chris and his crew at APC are beyond compare. I had an emissions issues with my vehicle and was quoted for a 5000$ repair. My issue was resolved without issue for pennies on the dollar. They have a trusted relationship with the state of Illinois and the emissions department that was crucial in my situation. TRUSTWORTHY and COMPETENT are the words that come to mind and these two words are what you are looking for with auto repair. I have referred several friends and family and all have raved about the people and facility. I will not be back at any dealership repair center anytime soon.

Best place to get your import and domestic car repaired, professional services and knowledgeable mechanics.

I had Porsche 993 oil change at Arlington Performance they did used mobile 1 oil, replaced oil filter but they missed out importance item is seal gasket at oil pan which is required to replaced anytime for oil changes. I knew it because when engine got hot I could smell oil and seen some smoke in back of 993. So I am not sure if they could done anything else correctly for Porsche.

Have been servicing my Cayenne Turbo S and Dinan 5 here for a few years now and I love it. Better work and much more moderately priced than any dealer. I recommend it to all my friends without a second thought - irrespective of the make and model of the car. Most importantly - they get it right the first time. They even helped me get an in-warranty replacement from the dealer when they were sliming out claiming engine service was required. Very well trained and informed crew!

I had an emissions issue with my Mercedes that several other auto and Mercedes specialists in my area could not properly diagnose. They kept suggesting things to me that did not make sense or they were too arrogant to actually look at my car versus just giving a solution based on the symptoms without ruling out other causes. Unfortunately, that is all too common in this business.I described the issue to a service specialists and they explained what the issue was and what solutions had been told me to Vince. He thought it sounded it odd to him as well. I brought my car in and very quickly he noticed there was an issue with the throttle not being adjusted correctly. That was all it was--my problem of almost one year and not being able to register my car because I could not complete an emissions test was solved. It was solved with a simple adjustment! A very reputable Mercedes specialist told me they were sure it was the ECU. A used ECU would have been $700+ installed and completely non refundable as the ECU would have to married to the vehicle. Arlington Performance Center did not take advantage of me with other pricey tests or expensive repairs based on a guess.They saved me over $500 on this single repair.This is actually the second time Arlington Performance Center has correctly diagnosed an issue that another Mercedes specialist diagnosed incorrectly. On a different vehicle, I was told that I had a fuel leak on a line that would have to be a special order and the cost just for the part would be a few hundred dollars. I asked Arlington to take a look at it and mentioned that I noticed some fuel up by my fuel filter when I was changing the oil. They correctly determined the fuel filter was the cause of the leak. Another problem was correctly diagnosed by Arlington Performance Center saving me several hundreds of dollars. Needless to say, that other Mercedes specialist will no longer be getting my business.I have taken my other vehicles to Arlington Performance Center and have been very happy with the work performed. They have a friendly and professional staff. The quality of work combined with their diagnostic ability, honesty and integrity is unparalleled. I will continue to drive all the way from Milwaukee to have them service my three Mercedes because, quite frankly, they are that good.
