Dominick and the rest of the shop went above and beyond for my wife and I. Multiple times I have gone there after the local dealerships couldnt figure out an issue, and they had diagnoses within minutes. I trust the guys at State Road more than any dealer service shop now, which is nice because theyre closer and less expensive too.

My wife and I rented a Cruise America RV through State Road Auto in early June 2021. Both Lisa and Dominick were great to work with. We also stopped by a few days before we rented the RV and talked with Bob. Even though we just dropped by, Bob spent a lot of time with us to show us the RVs and answer a lot of our questions.The Team at State Auto Repair are knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. While we were talking with Dominick, I asked about a noise with one of our cars weve been trying to figure out for a couple of years and he knew right away what it was without seeing the car. I just replaced the part he suggested and no more noise. I fully recommend using State Auto Repair for renting an RV and fixing your car.Also, we didnt have any surprise fees and received our full deposit back on the RV.

This was my 1st time using State Road Auto Repair and wow, I will be using them again! Both my driver and passenger door locks were knocked out of place, so I could not open my doors from the outside of the car. From the moment I called them (they got me in the same day), to the moment I picked up my car, they were extremely kind and professional. The office area is a very friendly environment, I felt comfortable asking questions and getting knowledgeable responses. The icing on the cake was the very reasonable price they charged!!! I have already told all of my local family members to go here. 10/10!

Love the Tortorice family business as they are great folks who treat people properly. I have many times seen Dominick explain to folks a better and less expensive way to do what need be or is wanted to be done. They do things the right way there and is my go to person for anything cars.

Rented a uhaul from here. Went in and the guys were friendly and welcoming. Got the uhaul (of course make sure to finish everything online on uhaul to make check out faster) and drove away in 5 min. When I took it back all I had to do was turn in the key. No fuss and no hassle. As a woman (yes I need to say this) I didn’t feel intimidated or looked down upon, though it seemed only guys work there. Will definitely consider utilizing this place for oil changes etc.

Dominick ripped me off 350. Wouldnt return my calls. Couldnt fix a bologna sandwich, just look at the lot. What you see is what you get. Maybe less.

My car is about 5 years old and I needed new tires. My husband and I met Dominick Tortorice one night and was mentioning how I needed new tires. He recommended we come to his shop. Boy were we glad we did. Was the best experience we had. They were quick and didnt jerk you around. We couldnt beat the price anywhere for 4 brand new tires and 80,000 mile tread life! Once I got my car back it drove like brand new. We were so pleased and we tell anyone this is the place to go for any repair. Everyone is wonderful especially Dominick. I put a lot of miles on a car in a year. I need to know the car is being serviced in the most professional way. I have that secure sense with State Road Auto. Dominick is very thorough in his explanation of what is being done, what should be done and why. State Road has my business, no question about it.

I had gotten my car fixed by them and they had to take the front bumper off. They fixed my car but didnt put the bumper back on correctly. On top of that, they chipped my paint! I brought it back the next day and they made me wait over an hour just to put my bumper on correctly. When I was about to get in my car and leave, the owner came out and asked me about the paint chip. I showed him and he reassured me hed order the paint and fix it right away. Its been 2 months and they never called to fix it. Do NOT bring your vehicle here. They have horrible customer service and the owner clearly lies.

These guys are great!! They were able to get my car in and were fast doing the repairs. They took the time and showed me what they were going to do to my car and not try to say you need this and that and Yada, yada, yada. Then to top it off my car ended up being cheaper than the original final estimate, which I was thrilled with. If my regular mechanic cant fix my car I will definitely come here again

I would give negative stars if I could. They are a scam. They will rip you off. Be careful, get a second opinion. Took my truck in for last minute oiled change I was there for hours. I started to complain because I was leaving for a trip and a 15 minute oil change should not take 1-2 hours. Then a guy comes from the back and I was told I had a hole in my transmission line to fix it they wanted 2-300.00 I then asked if I could drive with the small hole? I was told yes, but be careful and keep checking it. They then charged me for 1quart of high quality trans fluid and my oil change was well over 100.00 including time and ect. I then started on my trip mind you checking frequently and stopping about every 2 hours to make sure I was ok, it was funny I was always at the same missing level of 1quart the entire trip. Got there had a real mechanic look at it so we could order the parts... What was funny is the guy said mam, you dont have any leaks. I been running your truck drove it and checked your lines and it seems there was never a leak I said well how did I get a quart low after it was filled in Illinois. The real mechanic showed me a machine that every mechanic shop has that actually can suck out fluids, they need this for some reason. Ive been driving the same car now for 2 years and no leaks still to date. I called the owner Dominic and asked him does a transmission line fix itself? He said no. I then stated do you always try to rip off your customers around your slow times? He said no why. I then said because you told me I had a leak and charged me to put fluid in you obviously never did and time that you took taking my fluids out, or I must have a self fixing transmission line cause I been driving my car and never had a leak since and still dont. Dominic stated my brother in law worked on your car and he would never do that, I said yea keeping it in the family of crooks. They are great at talking to you, even his dad. But to date they never asked to refund my money. He did offer to look at it again, I said hell no they would probably cut my line to make sure I had a leak they could find. I would never take any car there.

I was a mechanic for 30 years and have since change carriers. I have no time or place to work on my own vehicles. I found State Road Auto to be reliable & honest and I trust my vehicles with them. I drive 30 minutes to get to SRA, and pass several dealers and repair shops along the way but, only SRA work on my cars.Other reviewers may have had a bad experience but having been in the business for 30 years, the job is much more difficult than it seems. Between intermittent issues, misinterpretations and hidden problems (to name a few) things don’t always go as smoothly as we’d like. Ask for Marty – He takes care of my cars just as I would if I had the time.

I honestly dont wanna give a star but to post ...i called this shop to see if they could replace my fuel & brake lines on my 82 corvette the owner Dominick agreed for a price that was very reasonable i was like sweet .ok. Lets do this ...i brought my car to him .. & knew i was doing other work to the car beside the (restoring the car for daily driver) fuel & brake lines so i asked him if they wanted to install all other parts i had for the car( intake carb & gear drive headers side pipes...and asked for new water pump.. he said sure gave me another sweet price being a total of $1800 i agreed telling him thank you im in no hurry dropped all parts i had his workmanship was simply installing .anything else. Needed i would cover as told i agreed....(biggest mistake on my part saying that i was in no hurry). Well a week went by. I decided to call to check on the progress thinking should be done ....sorry Dave we havent even started on it ......i was like really wow ..why not . long story .him with knee surgurey an over worked shop & space...ok i get it i understand ........second week i decied i will just stop in as he said stop in anytime had my grandson with me .so we did still nothing being done to my car now i was like kinda upset ..he told me we started an bouncing around car to car we will start an finish asap at that point i wish i would have just taking my car since nothing was done to it ...was def a red flagg gut feeling this was not going good at all...3rd week i called ask to speak with him not available but your car brake n fuel lines are done working on intake install should be ready monday .....well monday i stopped in there brake lines not done ...car was on rack in the air old fuel lines still on the car i was pissed was lied too about all what does one do they have your car your not getting it back untill its paid for no matter fixed or not what do you do????? It took from june21 thru july 21 to the day i got my car back..a whole month for maybe a week of work if even at that & when i got it back the side pipes leaked like a sive not set ...radiator was leaking from bottom hose .. It had no brakes i only found that out after unloading the car from my trailer as went for the pedal and they dropped to the floor...they drove my car on my trailer then my one ramp on drivers side was kicked out by driver not by fault but car dropped. They jacked it up an we finished loading the car .i called my insurance company an filed a claim they came looked at the car and said it was a cival matter to take to small claims since it was only $1800 i paid out ....pretty much if it sounds to good to be true by most its not going to be a good outcome .i asked Dominick at what point at having my car stroking me along with my car tieing up his shop space did he deicided he was going to screw me over compaird to any other customer that came and went in that months time.........no response...... l care less about money i even tipped his guys $100 knowing i got screwed wasnt there fault ....or was it ............dont trust smooth talking people ...people who say they had good experiances at this shop god bless you ....for me....... i got screwed ... Never again. I couldnt recommend this shop to do a tire change as i witness it took 3 guys to open a hood on dominicks old ford custom pickup simple latch......i was like wow .....for real.......i dont recommend ............he should have offered to give back some of my money ..had the balls to tell me & your side pipes just need to be heated up an reclamped .& to tighten up the clamps on hoses. An we didnt put your air condition pump back on...i was like what the hell did i pay you for or what was i paying you for ....i just wanted my car back and to get it back it had .to be paid. For ......

This place is the worst!! Told me my car would be done in a day over 4 dyas later i got a bill for 650 and a car that broke down 2 days after getting it back!!!!!! I drive a 2002 car with low miles so its not the point that i have a poor vehichle its the point that these guys are total rip offs! STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP!!!!!
