Spoke to what I assume was the shop manager because he kept saying my guys. So he told me to come in anytime next day to have a specific mechanic Jason look at my VW golf. No appointment needed, $40 to look at the vehicle and give an estimate. I went in next day, wanted for some time to be acknowledged by Chris, who took 3 calls before he acknowledged me waiting, 2 of which came in after I was already standing at the counter. So Chris was trying to just get ride of me basically, when I told him I had spoken to some yesterday and asked for Jason he told me he wasnt available, he was working on an 8 hour job. He mumbled that coolant flush takes about an hour and then he said sooooooo. So I asked if he will be in tomorrow, Chris said he will not be available and if I can get the car in on Monday or Sunday just to look at it ( mind ya my coolant is leaking). There was another customer in line behind me so I didnt want to hold the line so I asked again if noone was available to at least look at my car and give me an estimate, Chris said he will be out in 5min to at least look at my coolant levels. Well that didnt happen.I hope the crew at this shop reads this and remember that the safety of your customers on the road should be your highest priority. A vehicle that was parked at your shop should at least be looked at and identify the problem that brought the customer in.
I strongly recommend seeing Augi at Pep Boys in Arlington Heights. Hes professional, polite and all about excellent customer service. After buying a Jeep Wrangler and a special spare tire lock, I called Augi for assistance. He was more than happy to help. He dropped everything when I arrived and figured out how to attach the lock to my spare tire to keep it safe. Hes a mechanic you can trust!
I got stranded here with a transmission that went out while I was traveling through over an hour from home. While Pep Boys doesnt do transmission work, Chris (the assistant manager) was incredibly helpful and helped me find someone locally to do the work and to get it towed. He was so helpful and friendly!
This is the first time I have ever visited Pep Boys and I will definitely return. I called about pricing on tires that I seen online but wanted to call and ask a few more questions. Abel helped me and answered every question I had. His customer service was outstanding and that is the reason I decided to give them my business. I called a few places before I came across Pep Boys and I was sold by Abel’s professionalism. I not only got tires but had other services done as well. I can’t thank you enough! You now have a lifelong customer! Thank you!
Worker was nice but make sure to call to schedule your appointment. Showed up after making an online appointment and they said they were quadruple booked and they don’t have the manpower to do the work. I came in for a simple oil and brake fluid change. After 4 hrs, they barely had the oil change done. They also turned away other customers that had also made appointments online.
Chris over there, Him and his crew did a wonderful job on my sisters car!👍👍🛠
Back in April they were very patient and helpful while we sorted things out with the insurance company. The pricing seemed fair. They did all they could to help with the process and were understanding. Better than you would expect from your average chain auto mechanic! Special shout out to Joe!
This is hands down the nicest Pep Boys I’ve ever been to & I’ve been to a lot of their locations over the years! The staff is very friendly & always very upfront & honest with everything your car needs done. Also, they are very considerate of your time & give an estimate for how long the work will take to complete & is very accurate with it as well!Special shout out to my guy Joseph who answers my calls & is very friendly & helpful as well as taking care of me up front! Thank you very much for going the extra mile to show that you care! I appreciate you!
They gave me honest advice about needing to get work done at my dealer that saved me money, and now they have my loyalty. Great customer service also.
Bad online service, I booked appointment online and went at scheduled time and still person at the counter said can’t do it today come tomorrow. Bad service
Warning!! This location unapologetically engages in deceptive business practices.I ordered a set of tires from the Pep Boys website, I recieved an email telling me that the tires were available and confirming the time for installation. When I arrived in the store I was told that the tires I ordered were not available but I could buy a higher priced set of tires that they did have in stock. This is textbook Bait and Switch. When I pointed this out to the manager, I was told that because I placed the order online, there was nothing he could do. He then told me I should have called the store directly. What is the point of having an online service if I should call? When I suggested he sell me the tires he had in stock for a reduced price to fulfill the orginal order, he again said there was nothing he could do but if I wanted the tires I ordered, he would have to order them and they would arrive at a later date. Again, what is the point of making an appointment if when I come in at said time, I have to make yet another appointment. He again told me that if I wanted tires that day, I could just buy the more expensive set. This appears to be part of the business model there:Place an order, make an appointment, get an email confirmation, go to the appointment, be told that your tires are unavailable, but if you need tires at the time of your appointment, you will have to spend more for the tires they do have.
Called last week for tire dismount and mount and was told that they wouldnt be able to fit me in on a saturday! Well my friend works there and said they were dead that day . my friend said that the manager split for the fay right after he talked to me. Not a way to conduct business especially when a business like pep boys is going down the drain! Should be fired!
Excellent service! We had service done at Lexus less than 48 hours ago - they failed to tighten the filter. After driving over 100 miles the indicator light came on. After some trial and error, we finally made our way to pep boys! Javier and Daniel took care of us! We are all set to go and so thankful to have been graced with such excellent customer care👌🏽
Reliable service. Nice and professional people. Decent pricing....
Great knowledgeable staff!
After setting an appointment online the whole process was straight forward and fast. The boys took care of my car and the oil change.
Raymond provided excellent customer service!!!Brought my Saab in on a Sunday that’s right a SUNDAY. My battery light came on so I purchased and installed a new battery day before but light remained on.Car was diagnosed in under 10 minutes, I was brought back and showed the problem it needed a new alternator belt and the water hose that was attached was deteriorating and corroded. I was given a reasonable quote and the parts arrived in under 30 minutes.Raymond took the time to explain to me what was going on and informed me of possible complications when dealing with a car no longer made but thankfully he found the parts and was able to get me done in under 2 hours.I also was given a free inspection, they pointed out things I already knew were issues and I was given quotes and never once felt pressured.I left feeling like I could trust Raymond and his recommendations and let me tell you being a women that is very hard to find in the car repair business. I plan on returning to get the other work done soon and will refer my family and friends.
Staff is very friendly and wonderful, so thats where the 2 stars come from. However, I came in solely because of the buy 3 get 1 free tire deal PLUS a rebate. I purchased the tires and installation of them and followed all of the prompts on the physical receipt given to me to submit my rebate. I get a notification back saying that my rebate was non-compliant because I needed to have gotten 4 tires and installation to qualify... well, i did get 4 tires and an installation ... i called the number listed on the denied rebate email and i was transferred around 4 times before being told i have the wrong number and no one could help me.EDIT: Store manager made things right with me - I did email corporate anyway because they need some serious help with their customer service team (by phone) ... the staff at this store has been very good to me.
This place is terrible! Rude, unfriendly service. Especially the guy checking people in. Wont be back.Fortunately, there are plenty of other places to have your car serviced right down the street! Save yourself the hassle and stay away from here.
I don’t normally leave reviews but I just wanted to thank Frank for quickly giving my car a Lyft inspection. Most places I called told me they were too busy and to make an appointment for later but he got me in and out right away! And he also saved me the fee because he had the time to personally take care of it instead of one of his technicians. Very happy and thankful :)
Fast & inexpensive services! They offer the best advice. I always trust them and their work! Always recommend to friends and family.
I went late in the evening with online appointment. Even then they addressed all my issues. Changed wiper blades, brake check, AC refill and wheel alignment took just 1.5 hours to complete. Perfect and wonderful job guys. I will definitely recommend these boys. I would go to pep boys rather than going to authorized dealers where I spend a lot of time in getting appointment and get the work done. Keep it up boys !!!!
Been here twice. First time was in the Fall of 2018. Service was good, price was reasonable. Second time was Spring 2019. Seems that the management has changed. Three different people talked to me about checking my engine and doing the diagnostic on my car and each one gave me a different price. Later they came back with the problem and list of fixes and the price tag. I google the price of the parts in front of them and it came 10 times cheaper (difference was in hundreds). Did not get the service, but charged me with the maximum amount that they could for a 30 minute diagnostic service.UPDATES: They gave me a 700$ price for changing 4 spark coils. Bought the coils online from Walmart for 48$. Spent 10 minutes watching you tube instruction. Took 10 minute too change the parts with only one wrench. Simply put, almost 15 times over charge.
Ed Martinez who is the store manager, is not a trustworthy person. He tells you one thing and does another. Would not trust him or going there.
I want to thank Frank for the fast, efficient service and encourage people to give these guys a chance.
I wanted to rate higher, but I couldnt this time. There are a few things I have noticed last two times. I have been getting all my cars serviced here over 10 years now. Liked the staff- front end and at service desk before. Lately, there a few things service related impacted the rating.GOOD THINGS:Quick in and out if you have an appointment.Services gets done as asked for.*** Things to improve:Add more staff in service. Service desk manager seems to be a bit hard and always in rush.No additional services are done even mentioned on websites with oil change.Inspect and check as cars is brought on for service.Integrate PepBoys Rewards so store can pull up the details at the time of check out.
Great help and awesome service! So glad I went. Bought my winter wiper blades, before the big storm, and with my Reward Dollars they only cost $4, FOR THREE BLADES! -AND- They put them on for FREE! How can you beat that? Oh, and I got to check my tire pressure and it didnt cost $1.50 like most places in the area. BONUS!
They charge me almost 100% more than I was expecting! I am not recommending them!
Had a confusion earlier and which has now being addressed by the team at Pep Boys. Spoke with Sully the Manager at this store and appreciate his genuineness. Some learnings for me as a customer and some learnings for Pep boys on better ownership management of their customers. My trust in Pep Boys is reinstated and i will be their customer for years to come.
Complete disappointment. Came here for alignment because was transferred from the palatine pep boys shop. That shop wasn’t able to put my STOCK bmw 3 series on the lift because it’s “too low”. It’s weird that shop doesn’t have even jack for low cars. Now about this location. First as they said rear suspension alignment isn’t adjustable that seems to be weird because my mechanic showed me in person how to adjust it.They noticed that my car is lower on one side that means that something is wrong with the suspension and they told me this after they did an alignment. Alignment was sold with warranty which means that I can come back for another alignment FOR FREE. I’ve got my suspension fixed and I came back for the alignment again and I was told that my warranty doesn’t work if I did repairs to my suspension. I wasn’t told about it when I was purchasing this “warranty”. I left this place immediately and I’d never be back. Also I suggest you to find any other place for proper repairs.
Great service friendly people even got assisted from one Pep Boys to another at a great time finished me up early and thank you
My vehicles alternator belt broke while driving and the vehicle stopped in the middle of heavy traffic. Got help from a local cop in getting to a safe place for towing. Due to the timing, not many places were open, able AND willing to take a vehicle in. But this place was open late and they fixed up my car the same evening. They did try and upsell a bit but it was mainly to ensure no such future breakdowns/safety. I also got a discount. Overall, I am a satisfied customer.
Dont take your car here for anything more than an oil change. My fiances 2013 Ford Focus overheated two weeks ago, and she just happened to be by this Pep Boys location. They replaced her coolant tank, and also told her the rear brakes need to be replaced. I thought they charged her too much for this, but it was done, whatever, move on. Fast forward to this past weekend, and she has overheating problems again. The coolant tank is nearly empty so I get some coolant to fill it up just to get us somewhere to have it looked at again. Now the car refuses to start. I take a cab home to get my car and jump it. It starts for about 2 minutes and dies again. We get it towed to the Pep Boys in Chicago on Elston in the hopes that they will repair whatever the problem is on warranty. They inform us that coolant was leaking from the water pump onto the alternator, frying the alternator. This killed the battery as well. The coolant also leaked onto some belts which also now need to be replaced. All told the repairs will cost $1200 of which Pep Boys expects us to pay for. We declined the repairs, and are currently searching for a new car. Hopefully we can get something from her Focus as a trade in. I will say the only pleasant part of this whole process was the people at the Elston location. They seem to be good people. We called this Arlington Heights location to ask about what they inspected when her car was in, and the guy (dont recall his name unfortunately) there was immediately defensive and argumentative. No help at all. We will never be taking any of our vehicles to another Pep Boys.
Not a store as it shows in the photos and when I went there the person at the desk was extremely rude and needs to be fired
Never had a bad experience here. To be fair, I ALWAYS try to go to the dealership for any type of service for my car. But it can get expensive and sometimes it just isnt in the budget. When I have to go somewhere else I come here. Jim is always very helpful, and all the staff are great. From the few times I had my car serviced here, I never had any problems following.
Initially I had a wonderful experience here, and was impressed with their customer service and competitive pricing so I decided to bring my other vehicle in for an oil change too (they scheduled an evening appointment for me before, and I had zero problems). The second time around, I had booked another evening appointment over the phone, and when I showed up I was told that I wasnt booked in their system, and they didnt have any technicians available after 5pm. It was disappointing, but the employee I spoke to apologized and set me up for an appointment a few days later, on Saturday morning. The price was great and the service didnt take long, so overall Im still happy with the employees and service at this location.I just wish I was given consistent information between employees so I could book an evening appointment and be confident that I was actually booked and a technician would be there to service my car, so I didnt have to come in twice for an oil change.
Had a nice man, George, help me with my car. Full car inspection, oil change, all of my brakes were shot, a belt in the engine, and more. It was a miracle that my car didnt break down in the middle of the road. He truly wanted to make sure I was safe in my car before I drove 200 miles to college. Ive never experienced such ease and lack of frustration in regards to car repair before. I will ALWAYS go back to this location and continue to recommend George!
I bought a hitch a while back when they had the free hitch installation after rebate offer. I took the opportunity to purchase a $159.99 Hitch and get it installed there for $49.99. I figured that it was a decent deal. When I went in, Joshua Hallstrom entered all my information and the work to be completed including the installation fee. Online it showed that labor would be $49.99 and it even shows it on my customer copy. However, when I went it to pick up my vehicle, they had increased the charge to $90.00 and then discounted $40.01 for a hitch installation charge of $49.99. I asked him multiple times to put it back to the original $49.99 and he said it wasnt necessary because I would still get the rebate. I told him I was uneasy about it and that I would prefer that it show only the charge as it was. He said he couldnt do that and assured me that it would not affect the $49.99 rebate. Fast forward, and guess what? My rebate was denied because of that. So PepBoys offers you a rebate, only to have their employees make shady adjustments to benefit their store that you dont find out about until 6-8 weeks later. I would stay away from this location and possibly all Pep Boys.
I needed to have a shop install a new bearing and hub into a steering knuckle using my parts. I was able to remove the bearing and hub but a special press and a mechanics expertise is required to perform this task, otherwise serious damage may occur. Pep boys is the only place that would perform this task using my parts. They warrant the install and I am responsible for the parts. They did a great job and my car runs fine. Thank You.
Even though I was late to my appointment due to weather they still got my car in and finished very quickly. They have coupons available on their website which is why I chose to go here, and I ended up getting the cheapest oil change Ive ever had. They were upfront and honest about everything and didnt try to sell me on things I didnt need. I will definitely be coming back the next time I need service on my car.
Retail portion of this place is closing so everything on the floor is 70% off. Some pretty solid deals here, but going quick. Scored $40 worth of wiper blades for $12
Well I had a nail in my tire and it was late sunday. Everywhere was closed and I was told to come in before closing and they would take care of it. Turns out the tech had to leave and he couldnt do it that day and I had already drove out there. Tom was great he told me to come in the next day and it was at no charge. Great customer service, thanks Tom! I would of gladly paid, this was a nice move on his end.
I hate this location. Everyone is very rude and Ive had 2 bad times.I went in for a simple head light for my car. The man Toni who helped me gave me an attitude when I told him I need it installed. He then said it would take time and my bumper would have to come off and it would be expensive over $100. I asked him it for just a head light? Then he replied with an Im better than you attitude saying we have to take the bumper off all loud!!! I stepped back and told him thanks for all his help. I left and went to Auto zone. When I walked in the guy was very helpful and said he would install it free of charge. So who are the jerks now? After $18 and a small tip I walked away a happy customer.
Great place. Had my tire fixed a few months ago cause of a nail. Recently the same tire was losing air so I had them check it out since I thought it was maybe from the patch they did a few months ago. It was another nail in the tire which they took care of it and didnt charge me since I was just here a few months ago for the same issue. Great guys to deal with and was worth the 30 min wait.
These guys are great. Ben the manager has been very patient with me as my funds were low. They went above and beyond the call of duty to help my vans situation. I cant thank them enough for their help and kindness. The mechanics went out of their way to show me issues and help me make the correct decisions. Thanks guys. I would recommend this shop to anyone and everyone needing even the smallest job done right!
Peppy Pepboys of Arlington Heights! (OK, that was corny). My wheel lock error resolved too! I received great service from Arlington heights Pepboys this weekend. It turns out Id actually ordered the tires and made an appointment for Saturday, but Id completely forgotten about it. The store phoned me 15 mins after my appointment, so I drove over but discovered Id lost my wheel lock key. The mechanics took care of it... Had to destroy the wheel locks but I was OK with that. I got four crugen HT51 265/65/17s for $595 otd- over $100 cheaper than anywhere else in fact. Mounted, installed, balanced and driving very nicely. And good service too.... Zero complaints from me. Interestingly, my first ever set of tires from Pepboys. I would definitely get my tires from these guys again.
We took my fathers car for A/C to be fixed. This was our second time trying to fix the same problem (the precious time we went to a Pep Boys in a different state) and we were irate. Even though this location was not at fault for what happened out of state, the manager Steven Sharp ensured that we were satisfied customers by appropriately adjusting our bill and making sure that the A/C is fixed to the best of their abilities. We had a rough time with Pep Boys in general, but this manager went above and beyond to save the companys name. Totally recommend this location!
I dont know what is happening in PB Arlington Heights, looks like with the change of manager is going bad. I had an appointment for a simple oil change and they took 1 hour 45 minutes. At the hour and 25 minutes I went to the front desk and they told me is ready! But guess what? They just pushed up my car to do it in the last 20 minutes. The answer is if you have an appointment, they are busy ... Bad costumer service ever! I used to love PB but 1,45 hour is a loooong time to do an oil change.
Best service ever,Thank you Joseph !
Apparently theres not any store here now, just the service shop. Odd choice but whatever...
I have all the company vehicles fixed at this location. Jim is great to help us with our vehicles. Al is our mechanic. No unwanted or unneeded repairs.
Bad experience. My car battery died just in 37 months. I still have 59 more months of warranty. When I spoke with them to take appointment, they said it will be free. After going there, they say that I have to pay 72$. They dont even consider what they said a day before. They charged 50% of the cost of battery even though i have more than 60% of time left in warranty. I will not go there again. That guy was rude and say that the person who gave me appointment doesnt know what he told me. He just abused his co-worker in front of me.
Not friendly at all. The person in charge of booking for repair was extremely rude as if it is the last place on earth where your car can get fixed. Do not recommend it.
I dont know why it gives me feel of very old man...
Squeezed me in at the end of the day because I was worried about oil leakage. Changed my oil, apologized for the wait even though I was the one keeping them longer at work. Price is not bad at all comparing to other auto services. Employees are extremely nice and helpful. This is my second expierience with this location and both couldnt be better. Thank You Pep Boys!
I am always happy to go back there because Santos would get things done for you if you have any issue.
Helped us get our car battery replaced at late weekend hours. Extremely courteous and honest staff. Provided us honest recommendations on car ! And rates are also competitive to other auto service centers.
Very helpful with my low air problem. Found a sensor was bad. Made an appointment for repair.
The price was good and staff was excellent. I was in and out within 5 minutes. Chose this store over Autozone because it had better prices.
Been here twice, once for four new tires and another to repair a tire. In both cases I made an appointment which was pointless since they don’t honor it. They started work 45-60 mins after my appointment. I sat there for 4 hours to get new tires. Work was fine which is why I’m giving 2 stars.
I have two older cars (06 Civic, 10 Forester) that Ive had in here and been very happy with them. Santo and the rest of the crew will steer you right.
I asked to schedule an appointment the day before and they guy took my info and said come in at 11. I came in at 11 and the same guy acted like he didnt know what I was talking about. Okay fine. I start to explain to him I hit a pothole but I dont know if its the cv axle or the trans axle. Me being a woman he talked over me and asked again whats wrong with my car. I just said it makes noise now after a pothole. Just because Im a woman dosent mean Im stupid I just dont have the tools to look at my car myself with a project like this that car is too low. Im offended and insulted quite frankly.
Wish I could give a no star how is it that this store never wants to honor there own online coupons but any other pep boys does. No sense this is the closest one to me and for now on I will be traveling 5 miles further for better service and to a pepboys that can honor there advertised special
I bought 4 new tires which were installed. Immediately after picking up the car, I got TPMS Check warning light. When I brought it back, I was told it was a bad TPMS sensor and it would cost almost $200 to fix. They said it was a coincidence that the sensor broke 5 minutes after the tires were changed. What really happened was they broke it and making me pay to repair it.Update:The customer service team reached out to me after I filed a complaint. The store manager called me and offered to repair the sensors for free. I still wasted many hours waiting for the repair, but at least they owned up to their mistake.
I had an experience of oil change with Pet Boys a few weeks ago. Just want to say the service was great and especially my retailer Brian was super nice and super helpful!Thank you guys! You doing a great job!
Good selection of parts and accessories but a little pricey then other places.
Last weekend I took my wifes Toyota Corolla for new tires and battery and everything went with out any hiccupsAndre at the service desk was very helpful and professional in every wayI been going there for years and they been always good
Had taken my 1995 Z28 Camaro into a pepboys into this Pepboys in March 2019 to get the oil and filter changed. The car was ready the next day. As I was driving it back home to Mississippi, I saw the oil pressure was dropping to zero (faulty oil pressure sending unit). I thought it just needed an oil change, so I went back into the Pepboys, and I said You know, its still doing the same thing. I believe you might have just skipped over the car by accident. I really wasnt mad, I just thought they had made an honest mistake. But they got insanely defensive. The mechanic lifted my car, and showed me the oil filter. It was obvious the thing was old. He told me You see this part where the oil filter paint is chipped off? There is no rust there. If it was not new, it would be rusted. I was thinking motherf***er, filters are made from aluminum. They dont rustSo then I asked him to take the filter off so I could check that they had put new oil in the car. He got even more defensive, but I remained firm. Reluctantly, he took the filter off. The oil was as black as night. You couldnt even see through it. I told him This aint new oil. He insisted it was new. I then said No, its black. Dont lie to me, man. Heres whats gonna happen. Youre gonna do the oil change I paid for and put a new filter on it too.He fully knew he had been caught, and was not going to deny it anymore. He tried to sell me a Fram filter, saying its really good because its expensive. I wasnt having any of it. I had him put an ACDelco filter on. And I had him replace the oil with Mobil One.I believe that he would do this to make a lot more money. Customer comes in, wants an oil change. He sells the oil change. He doesnt change the oil this time. The car will last. It wont be the end of the world. Hell change it next time, and pocket the money that would otherwise go to the oil.The mechanic who tried to scam me, yes, I remember you. But I really should thank you, though. Because I became a mechanic myself, and doing actual honest work.
Had an appointment, Pep Boys couldnt keep it because staff sick (not sure the real reason) but didnt notify me. It would be nice if Pep Boys could call me and cancel the appointment so I wouldnt waste a trip. They have my phone number and email. Disappointed.
Usually pep boys either has the part or is quick to get it. Not to pleased with this location, didnt have a common cooling hose in stock and they said it would take 5 hours to get.. but the staff was friendly.
This used to be an auto parts store. And now it’s just a service center. Super annoying and the employee was rude when we walked around the tire section.
The lady customer service is great. She gave me discount because I had appointment and the took a long time
Quick service and honored appt time
These are my go to guys, good service, no BS, great prices, I service all four our cars there. The leads are incredibly helpful and go the extra mile for us. We feel these people treat us like family and how rare is that in todays world. We cannot recommed them enough.
They changed my sensors on wheels at an inflated price without asking me in advance. Sensors do not work, I don’t understand why you charged $ 98.96?
They do not have enough people to do last hour oil changes so you are better off making an appointment.
My car stopped running on Golf Rd. on a Saturday evening. I called a tow truck and after two hours and the tow truck did not arrive, I called Pep Boys. Their tow truck was there in twenty minutes. They called back that evening and told me I needed a new engine and they were working on an estimate. We decided to trade the car and Bredemann picked up the car from Pep Boys. The dealer confirmed everything Pep Boys had told me about the engine, in addition Pep Boys did not charge me for the evaluation. I could not have been more pleased by the way I was treated by them. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND PEP BOYS TO ANYONE !
Love Pep Boys! Manager Is always nice!
Allen is the best mechanic here no matter how short or long you spend here everything is awesome they dont sugar coat anything if they say something is wrong trust me its something wrong I went to the other pep boys OMG never again you have to come here dont let these guys fool you there are great
Jessie and Josh were great. You know how you take your car in for 1 thing and they tell you need 6 others. Not here, they tell you what needs to be done and then they do the job in a timely manner.
An employer named Santo refused to sell the semi synthetic oil change. He claimed I could only choose standard oil or synthetic. He forced me to get the regular oil and the car was almost finished. After I confronted him with the online website. He was very upset and unprofessional. He then started to ignore me. I wanted to get the semi synthetic, but i changed my mind because of his reaction. I had to ask the rest of the staff for my car before i could pay and leave.
Appointment is so easy and staffs are super friendly
Why do you guys make appts if you cannot handle them?!?!?! I plann ahead, quit everything i have to do, come and find out that they dont have people to work on my car because they lefy home!!! Why do you even need and appt at this poor facility???? Last time with my appt had to wait 3 hours to het an oil change!!! Very nice service!
I called them on 01/24/2013 to ask how much the oil change would be in my Civic 2013. The lady who answered the phone stated $32.95 but since she had no idea about oil type (0W-20 in these new cars) I double checked and asked for a manager. When he came over the price has changed and when I asked why they cant teach the lady not to waste customers time he stated I dont have to put up with this LOLDO NOT USE THIS PLACE, they have NO IDEA about what they are DOING !!!Plus, very UNPROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE !!!
Very bad service and an employee by the name of Jim was very rude. I cant believe they would hire someone so unprofessional. Im never going back.
I dont recommend PB. An employee by the name of Jim is very rude. He doesnt listen and will talk over you. Very bad service.
Came at 9.50 am for 10 am appt.for 4 tires replacement. Its 12.30 pm and no one working on the car yet! Why do you have to make an appt.if you have to wait 3...4 hrs.just for tire change!? Finaly! Done at 1.15 pm.
0 stars if I could. The service manager was very rude and authorized a mechanic to break off my locking lug nuts because he forgot to call me and ask where lug nut key is. This is ridiculous and needs to be addressed. Not to mention how dirty the shop and store is.
I went for replacing the alternator in my car, they did diagnosis very well and quick. Im happy with the service overall, but it was little expensive.
Presceduled an appointment, drove through rush hour traffic to get there. I got there, the guy in the service department was extremely rude. Told me to come back tomorrow, he was “too busy.” I explained my situation and he just kept saying no over my explanation. Don’t waste your time and money on a place that clearly doesn’t care about yours.
Great service with competitive prices.
Came in for what was thought to be a leaking tire and found it was s sensor needing to bd reset and the worked on car for 1 1/2 hrs . Did not charge me anything.
Dont recommend, my wife went in for an oil change since it is the closest to home, however the service desk was very unpatient said it would take an hour while just chatting with the technicians forever, did not seems to be busy and treat customers like trash
Love pep boys, fair prices, ease of access to all departments, huge selection, and Ice Cold Water....!!!!
Brilliant service.. Genuine guys.. Would recommend!
Good parts and accessories selections, but avoid the auto service department at all cost. They will never fix your car good.
This store is CLEARING OUT its entire inventory for 40% OFF,except for tires and batteries!!! Check out its website for availability.
Made an appointment online for a headlight replacement the previous day for 6pm. Arrived at 6pm, handed off the keys. They didnt pull my car around until 6:30, wasnt in-garage until after 7:20. Shop workers had a loud, awkward shouting argument I could hear from the waiting room during this time. Finally paid around 8, and then took another 15 minutes for them to pull my car around so I could finally leave.
Ive always come away feeling good about P/boys
The ripped me off. Had car battery replaced 148 worth of battery and charged me another freaking 155 for labor. I will never come back here again. The manager suck.
