After an oil change 4 days prior, at an independent garage we were 55 miles into a 275 mile highway trip. At that point the low oil warning came on. We drove to Bergstrom where they checked the engine for obvious leaks. Not seeing any they added a quart of oil. The warning went away. They didnt want payment, which would have been about $8--$10 for that quart of synthetic oil. Very nice service folks.
Unfortunately I had to visit the body shop since I had an accident. They were very understanding and put me at ease. John the body shop estimator was very thorough,even took pictures of the damage and printed out the estimate for me to take home. Told him the name of my insurance company and everything was in order when my insurance company called.After everything was in order I called to make an appointment for the repair and I was able to get in within 10 days. My insurance company arranged a rental car and the car will be delivered to Bergstrom the day I bring my car in and when I pick up my repaired car,the rental car will be also be picked up. Very convenient not having to get a ride to return the rental.Bergstrom excells at customer service and treats their customers which they call guests extremely well. They really do deliver at customer service,many other businesses should emulate their customer service.
Sorry about that, the intial rating was from fat fingers. Now my experience. It was very good, we spoke to Samuel and started the process to purchase a new Nissan,through each step he was very helpful and up front he admitted to being new but that was not off putting but reassuring as he stepped away to be sure about the facts he was stating. Although our experience isnt complete Im sure it will be the same quality in the end as it bwas at the start.
We were recently in the market for 2 used cars. Because used car prices are really high right now and the selection is low, we decided to stop in at Bergstrom to take a look a new ones instead. Adam White was the sales person who helped us and he was able to get us 2 new vehicles at great prices! He was very friendly and super helpful both times we went in. Thanks Adam! Another horrible Bergstrom service experience, this time at the Mazda location. The service advisor didnt listen to anything that we wanted done. Asked to have 2 parts replaced, 4 days later they tell us the technician thinks its fine and doesnt notice anything missing. After calling back and talking with someone, he says they now noticed what I told them was missing and finally gave me an estimate for what we wanted done. Then he tells me for the miscommunication hell only charge me for the parts and no labor. I called another dealer to get a price on those parts and Bergstrom was $50 higher for each, right, no labor to install.

Mazda tried to do the right thing and I changed my rating based on my first experience. Since my original vehicle issue I have had to go back and forth to this dealership with various towings and personal expenses. Im changing my rating back to a 1 star review as the manager has decided to ghost me on my last email requesting a resolution. I paid $140 to have my keys reprogrammed and they were unable to program my smart fobs. I ended up taking the vehicle somewhere else for a resolution. For simple stuff this dealership is fine. For actual diagnostics go anywhere else.

Ive always been a fan of Gustmans in Kaukauna, but a year or more ago my daughter bought a nice car from Bergstroms. She is pretty happy about her SUV but what has always bothered me was the service. The man that helped her Didnt follow up on anything. Once she said she would but the car, it was like sign here and Id like to go home now. The SUV was a managers special, the glove box wasnt even cleaned out, there was loose kleenex in it. I was very disappointed in Bergstroms since it is so well know, so I guess I will stick to Gustmans, not sure what my daughter will do. Thanks I just wanted you to know.
I went for a simple o-ring. I came with a printed diagram showing the part number that I needed. First the fellow needed my VIN number to look up the o-ring which I find ridiculous. Evidently the make model and year and motor is not enough for them to look it up. Then when they went to charge me for it I assumed that they would walk back and get it, as I am aware of this is a commonly used o-ring even on the most current models, but no, I would have had to come back again in three days to pick it up if they were lucky enough to get it in time.Finally they told me what they were going to charge, which is double the list price for this item. On principle I left and ordered it from somewhere else. I feel that this is price gouging. And so Bergstrom, you have certainly failed the test in having a reasonable level of service, having the decency not to charge 200% of the normal price.

I left a review 5 months ago that was good. Well today it all changed. I have been bringing my Mazda 6 in for regular oil changes at the express area. I get there right away at opening so I can get in and out. This is why it is express. Plus I like the fact that if I have any engine related issues I have record of factory oil changes.Today I get there at 8am, nobody else in line. They tell me it will be an hour and a half to get a simple oil change. Remember this is express and there is nobody else here. I say no way, I go to fleet farm, buy my oil, filter and do it myself at home. Which all took less than an hour. The best part of the express was just that, I stop in, get a quick oil change and go. I am more than capable of doing it myself but it was the ease of just you guys doing it. Now I guess you need to make an appointment, that isnt express anymore. Plus how is it that I can get everything from the store, drive 20 minutes, do the complete service, type this review and it still took 30 minutes less than the time I would have spent at your express oil change.Then I notice I am also missing 2 screws for the cover that goes over the filter and the drain plug. Just because this makes it faster for your team to do the oil changes, it isnt right to take parts off my car. Look it up, you have done all the oil changes on my 6 since new, so your team did this. I added photos so you can see the missing parts.Pretty disappointed Bergstrom.

He was personable and totalled focused on finding a replacement vehicle to meet my budget and wishlist of options. He is very knowledgeable and not in a pompous way. We purchased a brand new 2019 Mazda CX-5 Signature Edition from Adam White in August of 2019. We ordered the car from Japan with a wiring harness for our Kayak trailer. Unfortunately, the harness failed after a few uses. So we called Adam. Adam did a great job selling us this vehicle and he did not let us down when it came to our minor warranty issue with the harness. We live in Rib Mountain so Adam offered to send a driver to pick up our CX-5. They picked it up on a Thursday and we had our CX-5 back by the following Monday! We asked Adam to mount the connector for the harness under the rear bumper next to the trailer hitch (it came from the factory loose in the rear of the vehicle and had to be run under the rear tailgate). Adam made sure that the modification was made and did not charge us for the extra parts and labor! Bottom line is Adam goes above and beyond when it comes to taking care of his customers after the sale. In my opinion Adam is a true professional. If Google would let me give Adam 10 starts, I would. So if you are looking to buy a Mazda, I highly recommend giving Adam a call.
Had car taken here to get a set of keys, was initally told 45 minutes and then it became 3 or 4 hours when I checked in. Never got a call saying the car was done, service tracker sat at arrived. Ended up having to pick up my car the next day. Was never told my car would be held overnight. Not returning here.

I called Bergstrom Mazda early Sept to get a quote on the cost of having my CX-9s spark plugs replaced. Phone was answered by a receptionist, I asked for Mazda Service, and was routed to another service receptionist. I asked for a price quote on having my spark plugs replaced. I was told she would have to put in a request to their service advisor and get back to me. Fast forward 1 month to today. Still no call. I called back and Summer answered. She told me a request was put into the advisor after my first call to them and she is still waiting for an answer. One month to get a quote on service work? Obviously they do not want/need my business. I hung up, called Cliff Wall Mazda in Green Bay. Talked directly with an employee in service and got a quote in less than 5 minutes. I will be taking my work there, or any other shop that has better customer service than Bergstrom. They need to spend less time training their employees to say my pleasure at the end of every sentence and more time providing adequate customer service.

I like attending Bergstrom. I decided that I would like to take my car here for maintenance. I have a Toyota RAV4 and the Toyota Bergstrom has been fantastic to me. Reasonable pricing, great fix ups. Only small issue was that the man was subconsciously directing the questions to and passing the papers to be signed to my grandpa, who is NOT the vehicle owner, I am. But I dont necessarily blame them. Maybe theyre not used to women knowing their way around cars.

On top of that the folks in the service department are really cool.Could I have done the work on my own for half the price? Yeah. But do I get amazing service and a free loaner if I do it myself? Got an oil change on my mazda last Friday. Noticed on Sunday a little oil dripping on my garage. I jacked the car up to take a peek. Didn’t see anything actively dripping. Put on maybe 75 miles throughout the week, then noticed this past weekend more oil on my garage floor. Jacked it back up to find out the drain plug wasn’t even tight. Could loosen it with two fingers. I tightened it myself, but still, I paid for a service to be done, and it was improper.
Jim McDowell was absolutely awesome when it came to getting me into my 2015 Genesis Coupe! I was SO satisfied with the car prices and the all around amazing staff but Jim really went the extra mile to get me my car and make sure I was satisfied and happy! Would recommend to anyone!

I only go in for manufacturers recalls, but staff is very friendly and attentive. They have free non-alcoholic beverages and cookies while you wait. Would consider using them for other automotive needs.
Planned ahead wanted to drive to this Mazda dealership due to their professional service. Called to set appointment for my recall, specifically asked to make sure parts were available as I will be driving two and a half hours one way and they assured me they would be. Its a standard recall with a bulletin and parts to order list. I get there for my recall to find out parts need to be ordered. So now I have to drive back again. So Ill have over 10 hours of driving to and back two separate times, two days waisted, and about $100 in gas waisted. Unbelievably unhappy with this dealership.

I would not hesitate to buy from Bergstrom if they had the lowest price. If you dont want to put in the work to haggle then just go to Bergstrom.

Took my car in for a new Transmission. Got it back on Jan 15th. Six days later my car dies. Apparently, when they run their high tech diagnostics it does not show that I have a bad battery.......

Very discouraged and aggravated by Bergstroms ability to call me back after I have left 3 messages between 2 different individuals at this office. I have always received great customer service and follow up until this point. My lease is coming due and no one will return my call so I can schedule an appointment to do my lease buy out. Are you under staffed? Maybe your staff isnt paid enough to care? Do you want to screw me over in my contract? Really not sure what to think at this point honestly...

I will never purchase a car from here again. Hidden damage to car was upsetting. Major motor damage 3 weeks after purchase. Most upsetting however is trying to get temporary plates and registration. Bought vehicle in 08/17. It is now mid March. I have called several times. Been promised it will be over nighted and still nothing. My son is a college student and actually bought this vehicle to drive it not have it sit. I am beyond upset!!

The sales staff here seems more like reporters and less like sales, they act like they want you to buy a car but that dont work to sell it to you. If it wasnt for the fact that my wife wanted a mini cooper I would have never bought a car here. It took over 2 weeks of negotiating and within 4 days our new car was back for service because no one thought to charge the battery before we came to pick up the car.The service department deserves 4 to 5 stars though with the warranty on the car we get free oil changes and we have owned minis for 5 years we have dealt with multiple dealers and this location stands high above the others

Came in on Saturday looking to buy the Cx-5 (we know what we wanted but just a question about the car) and got greeted by a sale person. He said hi, welcome and what can he do for us? We ask our question and he showed us their book on all their models and said if we have any more questions he’ll be right with us.. fast forward 2hrs later, there’s another couple that came in looking to buy a car too. So we waited and then I decided to go check if he was gonna come help us. Turns out he was helping the couple that just came in after us. Just a little piss cause we waited for 2 hours and he couldn’t let someone else to come help us (there was 2 sales on the floor). So we left!

How in the world can it cost $116.62 for an oil change and tire rotation?? Highway robbery at this place, same as Bergstrom GM --> Especially if you have a Diesel anything! Also, they charged me $1.76 for a new oil pan washer, apparently the old one was worn out - oh? but wait, this was my cars FIRST OIL CHANGE, HOW CAN IT BE WORN OUT? Just proves the point that they will find any way to take your money. But hey, at least they wash your car, right? I can get my car washed for less than $50.00 elsewhere. I cant believe after you spend 35K on a car VW wouldnt throw in a few free oil changes... $9.19 per QUART of oil.. seriously???

Get your own financing in advance. Bergstrom will offer a rate over twice as high as your credit union. But they are honest, they tell you Bergstrom gets a kickback for offering horrible rates.

Ive had a very unpleasant experience at this dealership, but I would like to highlight the things they do right in addition to the things which didnt sit well with me in a constructive manner.First of all, the waiting rooms, facilities, and amenities are nice. I constantly see staff restocking cookies & drinks and the place is very well kept. The service advisors are top notch. Ive mainly interacted with John and Cynthia and these two are extremely professional and considerate. Theyre hard workers who are nice people and over the course of bringing my vehicle here for almost two years both of them have honored what they said they would do every time. They keep you in the line of communication and run things by you no matter how trivial they seem. Getting parts from here is easy and sometimes you can have your vehicle washed for free.Moving on to some of the questionable aspects of this business, Id like to mention that Im a car enthusiast, mechanical engineer, and have worked on my own vehicles in the past. The only reason I brought my vehicle here is to maintain a paper trail for my warranty and for the convenience. I once had a small hiccup with another service advisor besides the two I mentioned here. I drive a Mitsubishi and as soon as I pulled up for service he mistook my vehicle for a Mazda. Not a big deal, but it was an indicator for concern. I had the engine oil changed and upon reviewing the paper work discovered that they put the wrong grade oil in. I brought this up to a different service advisor who straightened it out immediately so no harm done. From that point on I brought my own oil in to avoid any complications.In a separate incident I brought my vehicle in to have multiple fluids changed including: transfer case, engine, transmission/center differential (transaxle), and rear differential. The dealership gave me a rental which I appreciated, but when I came back to pick up my vehicle I reviewed the paperwork. It stated the front differential fluid and transfer case fluid was changed in addition to the automatic transmission fluid. This isnt a fault on the technicians or service advisors, its a constraint on their systems. My vehicle is a 5-speed manual transmission, but that isnt an option to list on their computers apparently. The front differential is housed in the transfer case, so saying both of those were replaced is redundant. Again, this is due to their options in the computer. I asked the service advisor and was assured the rear differential fluid was changed as requested. Unfortunately, this wasnt the end.I went underneath my car the following weekend for something completely unrelated and discovered that the plastic shrouding underneath it was broken off. Ive changed fluids before on the same vehicles and Ive been under my car many times. I drive my vehicle through winters and this under tray has been perfectly fine for nearly two years. Im not making any accusations, but I would find it an extremely rare coincidence that my plastic under tray covering my transmission drain bolt happened to break off and was discovered the weekend after I brought my vehicle in to have the transmission fluid changed for the first time from this dealership. Honestly, I empathize with the technician who potentially ripped it off. The guy is trying to get as much work done as fast as he can and to remove the dozens of plastic clips which hold this cover thats in his way is a PITA. I know this because it covers the floor jack lift point too. I would have loved to rip it out myself, but Im fully aware this serves a function and that is that outside of protection from debris it contributes to aerodynamics. Parts never called me back when my service advisor said he ordered the part. Its since been replaced with an upgraded aluminum one, but long story short I brought my vehicle in for warranty paper trails and convenience. Neither of those were being properly met here.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced when buying a car. It took 3 weeks to be pre approved for a loan and the staff NEVER called with approval status updates and never able to test drive the vehicle of choice. The staff does not take accountability and tried to blame the customer for the lengthy loan approval process. I personally drove to Appleton to hand deliver requested paperwork... Was tokd that after the credit approval department wud call with status... This never happened. Called almost daily and it was always another staff members responsibility.Finally called the sales manager.... And After talking to sales manager and opting out of any assistance for the purchase of a vehicle 2 months later...I started to receive letters from vendors bergstrom submitted loan approval request to. Also due to the multiple loan request submissions... My credit score was affected and of course rhe staff didnt care. Once business was cancelled... The staff had no right to continue to submit loan approval requests.
