Brian was excellent. Looking for a place to store a few things for 6 months or so. The location was convenient and the 2 months free offer helped seal the deal.

We needed a storage unit for a couple of months between moves, leading us to National Storage on Plymouth. I cant speak highly enough of our experience here. Both Brian and Caitlin were fantastic! They were quick to respond, always friendly and very professional, and thorough in every interaction we had with them. The facility and our unit, in particular, also exceeded our expectations. It was well lit and very clean. I would definitely rent here again and recommend both the facility and the management team to others without hesitation.

I was in a time sensitive bind and was looking for a dolly plus other moving supplies to rent. National Storage Centers really pulled through and helped me out last minute. They provided great customer service and were very helpful. Ill definitely go back when I need truck rental, storage or moving supplies!

Im not sure where to start. Quite often their phone line is not active and it is impossible to reach someone if you have an urgent matter. It is best to communicate via email, they usually respond quickly. Meagan is great! She helped us move during the pandemic and again recently. Very quick to respond and help. Most recently we discovered DEAD MICE in the hallways. Then a few of our boxes were chewed and rummaged through by either a squirrel or mice. We had covered all of our boxes with plastic and fabric sheets, but whatever animal was in there was still able to rummage around and chew through our boxes. We were told that there was a SQUIRREL problem in our building when we tried to ask Meagan why we found NUTS IN OUR BOXES. A squirrel has been going around the units, tearing open boxes, and storing food in there. Unfortunately, we received no notice or notification via email about rodents in the facility. This was very upsetting given the current COVID-19 crisis and having rodents going through peoples things and then your things. Not professional, not helpful, and not safe!!! If you have any health conditions do not store your items here! I cannot reach them via phone and they no longer reply to my emails. Additionally, if you are able to reach them on the phone, they will say they will give you a discount and charge you full price instead. I chose to store my items here during the pandemic after I read the great reviews online, however Im very disappointed by the way they choose to conduct business. I will be alerting other U of M students to be wary of this place.

I have stored my stuff here for the past two summers, and I am endlessly impressed by the kindness and professionalism of the staff, as well as the cleanliness and quality of the units.In addition, this company helped my brother and I immensely during the beginning of the pandemic. During a highly uncertain and difficult time, we had to leave Michigan on short notice. We were able to rent a storage locker here, and have it fully packed, within 48 hours. I cannot emphasize enough how helpful and accommodating the staff was for us during this difficult time.I would highly recommend this company for anyone in Ann Arbor, especially those who live on North Campus, as it is an incredible storage company and very convenient to access from North Campus.

I stopped in this location just to get prices and I was so very impressed by the kindness and professionalism of Caitlin. She was full of knowledge and was so friendly.. Even though she probably had a million other things going on she took the time to make sure all my questions were answered. We ended up not needing storage at this time but we will in the near future. I will definitely be going with this facility based on the amazing customer service alone.

A friend of mine told me about this place. I was looking for a parking space to park my car for two months while I was renovating my garage. Parking spots around Ann Arbor are not cheap. I ended up renting over here because the price was good, but also because it is like having a private garage for my car with security. (For a higher price I could store downtown in an open parking space with no security!) My renovation took longer than expected and I stored a few extra months - since the lease automatically renews, I just kept paying until I was done with the unit. I will be back when I need more space again.

Our experience with National Storage has been terrific. We just moved out of our drive up unit. The unit was clean we we first rented and now after three years - no signs of water leakage nor indications of animal nor bug infestations. The staff - Caitlin and Megan are very professional, knowledgeable and always friendly in making sure my needs were well taken care of. Thank you Val Oatley

Beware of the lease agreements that require you to pay a full month’s rent even if you use it for an extra day. I had to learn this the hard way. After 6 months of paying nearly $300 a month I could not remember this clause in the lease and I assumed I would be reimbursed for the unused time just like most other storage places will offer. I tried reaching them in various ways before the lease end but there was no response. Instead I received a nasty call when I was told I did not listen when they told me among other words that told me customer courtesy does not matter to this place. There are much better prices and much more friendly self storage businesses around Ann Arbor. I would never do business with this place again.

Customer service policy is horrible. Their company policy is officially to never answer the phone. I spent 3 weeks trying to pay a bill, 12 phone calls and 6 emails and never got a call back until I threatened a lawsuit. The property manager lies and apparently considers customers as a nuance. AVOID AT ALL COSTS unless you want your stuff auctioned off and/or get charged late fees because they cant and wont take an annual payment until you talk to the property manager (who doesnt ever respond).

Had a satisfactory experience. Everything meets my needs.

NSC had both temperature controlled and regular storage availability, were very close to downtown AA, and were incredibly efficient. I dealt with both Caitlin and Megan -- and think they were tremendous. This is a first class operation. I am pleased with everything I have encountered over the last 5 years. I access my unit frequently and love the ease of access. I have already recommended NSC to others in AA.

I had a great experience here. They had boxes which was a big help. And I loved the fact I could rent a usual truck there made my day less hassle-free! So I only had to make one stop!

We were first time renters and Caitlin and Megan made it very easy. They showed us multiple units and helped us decide what size was correct based on what we fit into the back of our van and told them how many trips we thought wed have to make. They estimated correctly! Everything fit and we are happy to do business with them. Very convenient to North and Central campus.

For U-Haul rental, this is the last place you want to go in town. They will try their best to get the extra money however they can especially from students, which for me was a cleaning fee assessed on a van returned clean. I cannot recommend this place and you should look elsewhere for your U-Haul needs (Carpenter Bros or Party Shoppe have been great for me). This isnt unique to me, check out their other reviews on the U-Haul website.

Caitlin and Megan (hope I spell right) are both very easy to work with. My U-Haul truck wasnt available until 11pm so they kindly gave me a 24-hr access to the facility. The storage units are clean, there are elevators for moving goods so a second floor unit is as convenient as a drive-up!

I went in and was helped right away. I didnt know what size I would need because this is my first time but they really helped me find what I needed. I was surprised that they offered so many moving supplies and had things I didnt even know I needed. I was worried I would need to make a reservation first but that was not the case! Thank you so much!

If I could I would give this place 0 stars, they have the worst customer skills on Earth. They are nice before and during purchase, any problems after and the women here are incredibly rude and condescending. They are rarely there, dont awnser the phone and are completely irrationally when they are faced with any issue beyond payment. I tried to be as polite as I could, one lady was so openly oppositional I couldnt hold back my anger at the situation. I paid my money and these people are completely rude to a customer for having a problem?????

Did a google search for storage in my area and this place came up. I made a reservation for 2 units online and showed up a day before my move. Staff made the process easy - well as easy as a move could be!Got me into a drive in unit to put my car in and had extra room for my boxes and stuff too. I thought I would have to rent 2 sepearate units for this purpose but was surprised i could just rent a larger one for both. Staff fixed my reservation so I didnt have to end up paying for 2 units when I just needed one.I was also glad that they provided insurance because Im moving so I was able to cancel my renters insurance while I am between places but i am still covered. Boxes and stuff you might need too like locks.

Very friendly and helpful manager, Caitlin. Units are easily accessible and clean. The gated access gives a nice sense of security. Price seems very reasonable especially for the excellent location in town. Would recommend!

NSC on Plymouth Rd, Ann Arbor is a very well managed storage center. The staff is delightful. The entry area is secure. The buildings housing the units are well maintained. I have had my unit 2.5 years without damage to the contents from the weather, leakage of any kind nor have I found any animals have made nests to live among my belongings.

The staff at National (Caitlin and Megan) has been absolutely amazing. Caitlin has gone out of her way on more than one occasion to make a horribly stressful situation as pain free as possible. I have dealt with several other Self Storage in the area over the last few decade-and by FAR, this has been the best experience I have had in this situation. The prices are good, but Customer Service is the most important to me-I have even had to receive assistance after hours and Caitlin was there for us in an instant. THANK YOU, National staff, sincerely, thank you :-) you have no idea how much you help has meant to me!

I have had nothing but positive experiences at this location. The staff is wonderful, they are knowledgeable and helpful- friendly too! Between the great location, fantastic service, and low rates to rent storage space there, Im not sure why anyone would go anywhere else. We have also used them for UHaul services, and recommend that as well. Weve had negative experiences as other locations and are glad that it has been so smooth here. Highly recommended.

Clean, well-lit, secure. Staff are friendly and courteous. We have had a unit here for 4.5 years. National Storage has taken over during that time, and made MANY improvements including paint, roofing, added freight elevators, and more. Obviously there have been corresponding price increases and I wish rent was cheaper. But I believe it is comparable to the area as far as I understand.

The 2 office staff here are very helpful.I rented a medium-sized 10x10 unit. The location on Plymouth is super convenient for students (or anyone) on North Campus. I do wish there was more effort to keep spiders and bugs out of the facility, and worry a little about whether mold might set in. Otherwise, great experience!

I have been with National Storage Center for YEARS now and I would like to share my experience publically. Caitlin has ALWAYS taken such good care of us. Running a small business, we have used other storage companies in the past and have had nasty customer service, high employee turnover and overall bad service.Caitlin always greets me with a smile, explains billing thoroughly, has been here since day one and has never made me feel like I’m bothering her (which is how the OTHER company made us feel).I have been on site when a couple came in and had been terribly rude to her and her demeanor did not change.When I brought my mother with me to make my payment, she actually thought we we good friends.Though I know that I could find a less expensive unit elsewhere, I will stay at National for how I am treated. Great storage facility that is a short drive from the University of Michigan campus. The manager is extremely friendly and I would recommend this to anyone for their storage needs. The facility is easy to access and they have carts to help transport your stuff from the car into your unit.

This place. Let me tell ya; this is a great place to store your stuff. No matter what it is. The manager who I talked to was extremely helpful. I wasn’t sure what climate controlled meant. But when I walked out of the office, I knew! She was so knowledgeable. And she was so patient and polite. She let me know what I what I could store there and what I couldn’t. ;-) If I ever need to store anything else in Michigan, I won’t go any place eles! This place rocks!!!!!

This is the cheapest storage unit I have used in Ann Arbor, and by far, the best so far. I was able to move in my stuff quickly and the manager was there to answer all the questions I had. Online payments also make it easy for me to pay month-to-month.

I have had a large storage unit with Maxx storage for nearly 3 years. Very secure, clean and well maintained facility. The employees are very honorable people and go beyond the call of duty when it comes to the care of their customers.

I believe Megan was one of the names of the workers there in the office, and she was quite rude, condescending and belligerent in the way she conducted her interactions with customers. She clearly does not know the basics of customer service interactions and clearly hasnt been trained well enough to know how to interact with a human being socially and properly. Poor customer service overall.

The location is great but the customer parking lot is very small. Rented a unit and a U-Haul truck for a local club and we have found these services to be very convenient and affordable.

We have had a wonderful experience with National Storage Centers, and the manager Caitlin. After a very stressful cross country move for a new job at UM, she helped us get in to the only remaining drive in units. She answered all my questions as I was new to the area, and also provided moving blankets we could use while we stored our furniture, until we purchased a new home.

The on-site staff have been nothing but friendly and professional, willing to help me with any and every need I had. But! The phone staff....dont even bother trying to call in. I tried calling twice. Once to change the credit card on file and another time to finally move out of my storage unit. After finally getting a hold of a real person, I was told that they would put me in contact with the right departments and that they would call me shortly....no calls ever came. I was then told (when I called again trying to move out) that I would have to come in and sign some paperwork.After driving for more than an hour to get there before they closed, I was told that I didnt have to come in and that there was no such paperwork to be filed. I definitely will not be coming back.

Ive rented storage space on three occasions from National Storage Center, Ann Arbor. They always provide excellent customer service!

This is my go-to place for boxes and tape. Staff is so helpful that they even help me take my boxes out to the car, which I really appreciate as I am disabled.

This was the only place I could find with a climate controlled unit available but I was very pleased with the location access and cleanliness of the place and also the manager was very helpful
