Came just to drop off a cable box. Guy seemed nice enough but kept asking who I use for for phone and internet, and then why I wouldnt switch to GCI. I told him Im good and he kept going on. The sales pitch to add additional services is too aggressive, pretty put off by it.

Sadly the phone number listed is not for the store and the wait times on hold are more than 15 minutes. There is the ability to leave your number and they will call you back within two business days. Seems fair as long as your question isnt urgent. Given Im cancelling my TV account since the price is jumping incredibly from $64.99 to $109.00, guess Ill just take the DVR and the remote back to the store. Internet still seems to be a good deal.

Nice fairly new GCI store. I have a AT&T Samsung S9+ but I cant wait to get a GCI phone because the AT&T in order to turn the mobile data you have to go through like 3 steps (kinda annoying lol) and the GCI all you have to do in pull the top down on the phone and press 1 button! Oka have a nice day!

I arrived but the lady at the desk by the window was to busy talking on the phone. To help with my needs of bank fraud 84 time $7.99 was withdrawal from my account. Now Im finding out this occur since October, this is why the customer service lady should have helped smdh. Can you imagine how long Im standing at this counter smdh

GCI is horrible.Now you have to get a Amazon account, and pay the high rates for TV .Its no longer a Alaska company, they are owned by a Canadian company now.I dropped them.

Because of covid, you go to the door and give the security guard your name and phone number. You can wait in your warm car until its your turn, then he or she will call you and you can go inside to see a representative. The secret guard works just as hard as the reps, but they are all friendly and its nice to wait in your car and not standing in a long line.

I’ve never had GCI till I came to Alaska. When I walked in, I was immediately taken care of. That’s awesome for a place like this. The guy who worked with me was well mannered and helped out a ton! I walked in and out within 10 minutes!

The security person screening people prior to coming in was rude and abrasive. When we commented to the manager it was nothing but a lot of lip service. Work on your customer service people.

Friendly service, 5G ready, Alaska centric, unlike those out of state super mega giants. GCI saved my family a bunch of $ when we bundled cable and cell for our whole family with unlimited data. It just worked everywhere we went in AK & the L48+HI. My experience was less than atiquit to say the least my water proff phone wasnt and the costumer service person Ashley told me to get over it and move on when I didnt like the fact that I was stuck with the bill with no assistants from chi and or her .The fact that she failed to even come up with a number I could call was unacceptable.So if you choose Gci just understand your on your own with no warranty or service after the sale

This company doesnt do right by their customers. Weve had them forever for telephone and internet and they recently contacted us and told us that our plan is going away and the only way to keep service was to switch to more expensive plans which cost us about $60 more per month (though we were told it would be closer to $20 more per month). Strong-arm bullies.

Since they are my carrier I will be as honest as possible. They are good when I have problems with my phone at getting it back on track or replacing it. My only problem (and may be my lack of knowledge ) is how long that can take. Overall though I am very pleased with thier service and how fast they are on the Internet.

We usually have to wait a long time to get helped, and associates dont always give us same info. I feel staff is overwhelmed a bit, they have a lot to manage . We got a good deal on phones and Apple Tv. ( but later found out not to use GCI out of state very long) so had to change college daughter to different carrier) we were unable to get credit for phone. So, mixed feelings.

This place is horrible. I came in because I tried to set up an account online and couldn’t get a representative to respond. I then called so and no one picked up for an hour.There were three individuals working the counter with a line of roughly twenty customers. One woman cycled through customers, the others worked with no emphasis on efficiency.I would be totally embarrassed to have anything affiliation to this organization. It is shame it is the only “decent” internet provider in the Anchorage area.If you must come in do not plan on a quick and dirty trip. Another customer compared it to attending jury duty. Give yourself at least an hours to work with poor customer service.

They sold me accessories and even though I was with the return period they said tough and go to the manufacturer who is reviewing if they will honor the warranty. 90 dollars for two screen savers that GCI said, just because we sell it doesnt mean we have to stand behind it.

Slow moving lines. Indiferent customer service. Go to the Dimond mall store. Much better service andp atmosphere. Ok Ill take that back. I had to exchange cable boxes last night and there were no employees in sight. So I was registering at the kiosk. Then a customer support person came over and helped he was a bit rude and short. He exchanged boxes. When the transaction was conclude I ask which phones are no contract prepaid and. He said any of them if you pay for the phone outright. He didnt even offer to help with the selection. Plus most of the devices were not labeled and had no pricing or details of any kind. Disappointing to say the least.

I liked the service in the store, but not the actual internet service.GCIs web site advertises up to 2mbs when you run out of your high speed data allotment. So far 5 months having the service never seen a speed faster than 56kbs. If your want a throwback experience, get GCI its just like reliving the 90s without Napster.GCI internet makes getting your devices updated and online bills paid a fire drill. Each month I get throttled I have to call in to make my payment because the web gets slowed down even their own payment portal times out making online pay impossible.. Stellar job who ever decided to throttled speed. 1mbps would have been slow but not loath your ISP slow.

They charge fees on everything, change plans and force you to purchase new plans. New owners are going to charge you to recoup their purchase. Just do a search on how many people dislike this place. Theyre here for money only
