We had excellent customer service! Alex was extremely knowledgeable and eager to make sure we got what we needed. It’s sometimes difficult to find that kind of customer service anymore. Very happy with our experience…she did a great job!

Very poor customer service. They completely made my glasses wrong twice. Then didnt offer to prioritize them to get them corrected. I decided to get a refund and go to Pearle Vision and pay a little more for customer service.

Horrible experience. Took over 3 weeks to get everything fixed. Meanwhile Im trying to function without glasses. There idea of compensation was giving me a travel size eyeglass cleaner

Wonderful help, great service and very fast service

My appointment went well and I was in & out quickly, but I have been playing phone tag with them for about two weeks now. I’m trying to order new contacts and when I call they don’t answer so I leave a message and then I never hear back so then I have to call again. I always get told “we’ll leave a note and someone will call back” I tell them to call during certain hours since I work and they always call back when I’m working. I just want my contacts 😅

Extremely rude employee who vocally and publicly shamed another employee who was treating us graciously claiming they were doing things incorrectly. Left such a bad taste in my mouth that I just left. If you are reading this, your rude behavior caused the direct result of losing my business.

We came in Saturday and worked with Erin. She was amazing. The BEST service I have had for any Vision4Less. She was very helpful, helping find all glass for the style and size I needed. And when trying on a pair of glasses and her saying those look amazing on you made me want them more as someone liking them on me. She was knowledgeable and made it a quick visit. Myself and 2 of my kids recently purchased glasses and I have to say what a great experience! From the minute you walk in your greeted with upbeat employees. Its a great atmosphere all the way around. They are not pushy or make you feel bad if you cannot afford an upgrade. My glasses are perfect after having incorrect lenses from another place. I highly recommend getting your glasses here!

The 2 lady’s that works at this location are really rude and when I have gone in for adjustments they act like I’m asking the world from them. Also, when asking them for help they don’t have any costumer service skills.

Great customer service, great selection very happy with my experience to get glasses here. I had even forgotten to bring my prescription and they called my doctors office to have them fax it over instead of me having to go back and get it.

Customer service is great here! They have a wide range of frames, anti-glare polycarbonate lenses along with discounts and daily deals. You can get your eyeglasses in less than an hour, my lenses were made in 10 minutes! I would definitely recommend this store for prescription glasses!!!

My furnephew chewed on my 3 yr olds glasses. She has a difficult prescription and we couldnt wait 10 days for her Drs office to get her a new pair. The staff was so accommodating and made my daughter feel like an absolute princess while we waited for her glasses to be made. The staff got 2 pair made in 18 minutes. I cant even tell you how they saved the day for us!

UPDATE: They have agreed to a refund on 2nd pair. Kris the manager was wonderful. Excellent customer service from her. Updating stars to 4 after speaking with her.Brought my aging father in for an exam & new glasses. Bought 2 pairs. Said we would get text when ready. Get texts that BOTH pairs are ready so we head back to store. Then we waited an HOUR for then to continue to tell us they werent ready despite the texts. Only one pair was finished because they claimed they were having issues with machines & they promised to upgrade his frames & to send them in 3 business days to his address thats over 2 hours away from the Ames location. We waited over TWO WEEKS for the glasses. I kept calling & confirming on 3 different occasions that the glasses were still coming & that they had his address right. Finally today I called again & they said his glasses were ready but OH! We didnt know we were supposed to mail them. SERIOUSLY? We only had this conversation IN person & 2 more times over the phone that they needed mailed to him! Absolutely terrible. Not worth any of the alleged savings for a discount store. Still almost $400 for 2 pairs. Save yourself the headache & go to anywhere but here!

Very professional, they made sure I left with the very best deal and top of the line glasses. I felt like I was treated like family, my glasses arrived in pristine condition, and my vision has never been better! I would recommend Vision 4 Less to everyone, and will never go anywhere else for my glasses!

They are friendly, helpful, and the glasses are a good deal. If you need glasses fast like I did, then this is a great option since they have your glasses ready in an hour or less. I broke my old glasses, so I was so happy that I didnt have to wait to get new ones!

Went in for a standard vision test, most of the staff were extremely nice and patient. This is the only reason this is not a 1-star review. When the OD came in, he was only wearing a mask over his mouth and not his nose (in the midst of a global pandemic). Additionally, he said several times that I didnt need to wear a mask with him, which I found immediately alarming and exceptionally cavalier for someone who has a graduate degree in an ostensibly scientific field. Beyond this, he was extremely impatient when my glasses and the lenses of the testing instrument fogged up due to my proper mask use. He demanded I either take off the mask or move away from the lenses (I did the latter). When examining my eyes with a light and scope, he had his face pressed against mine for several minutes (again, no mask over his nose, which he was breathing through).I hate to imagine that he does this with all of his customers, as he would be an effective spreader of Covid-19. To be completely honest, his unprofessional and flippant behavior during this time has left me skeptical of the capacity of a typical OD to think critically and apply good judgement. Avoid Wayne Vander Leest when you come here, at least until the pandemic is more controlled, or if you dont mind being talked down to.

The ladies there were so helpful with my highly active 9 yr old child. They listened to what she wanted. Helped us get more for less. And my daughters 2 pairs of glasses were done in 8 minutes! While we were waiting, the gal looked up availability for my husband and I through our insurance. We will definitely be going back!

It was very busy when I arrived to pick up and get fitted with new glasses. Staff was organized and had a signup sheet available. I had a 5-10 minute wait time which I thought was appropriate with the amount of customers ahead of me. Staff remained courteous and attentive while I was being attended to. Happy with the product and service.

Very helpful even with the COVID-19 restrictions. Got my glasses in less than an hour even after being told it would be 2 hours. That was progressive lenses and transition even!

I accidentally bent my glasses and the lens popped out. I called the shop and they said they would be able to fix it the same day!! So I went down there and they were VERY helpful, Peggy got my glasses all fixed up very quickly, and Emma provided excellent costumer service! If I ever need another repair, they would be my first choice!

My experience here was great! My glasses broke while we were on vacation and I had visited the Vision ForLess in Dubuque Iowa. My prescription on file was too old so they actually just replaced the broken stem to get me through the weekend and didn’t charge me anything! But I had picked out two frames that I really liked while I was waiting and written down the numbers. So when I got to the Ames store with my new prescription and those frame numbers, it went really fast! And my new glasses were ready in 30 minutes!

The customer service there is awesome. I looked around and I had three reps helping me. I learn so much about what preferences I should consider when purchasing glasses.

I had broken my glasses about a month ago and, of course, insurance wouldnt cover new ones until July. So I was in a bit of a jam. I tried to fix my old ones, to know avail. I saw Vision 4 less in my town and decided to give them a try. They were wonderful. The staff was friendly and helped me get some new glasses. I got 2 pairs for under 40$! I just had to take them my prescription and them made them right there in the store in under half an hour. I was in and out so fast! Wonderful for a mother of 5 whose got a lot to do!

Get ready to provide your own customer service because staff does not do what they tell you they will do. They are, however, very good at dealing with irate customers but good customer service would prevent most of the need for that.Here’s my previous review: Great staff and great eyewear at reasonable prices. Don’t fall for their ads that promise 2 for a low price. You likely won’t want those frames. Rather compare quality and price with doctor office eyewear. You’ll save a bundle! I’ve been using them for many years.
