For a small-town discount store this is one of the best ones. Some of the prices are so low they are hard to believe. The workers and owners are some of the hardest working and courtesy people you could ever meet.

Prices are awesome sales are even better plus they give away free products most of the time

I like this store and they have really good deals sometimes BUT everytime I go there, like today for the special on the cauliflower they were out. A lady had like 10 heads in her kart, I mean maybe you should put a limit so everyone can get something.

Such a nice friendly place with great deals! Always get treated so nicely when I shop there and they treat you like family every time! Help you out with your groceries, take the carts back for you, etc... They keep everything really clean as well.

This store is the best. Follow them on Facebook to see what good grocery they have in this week they update it almost every day and there prices are sooo good. Most definitely worth checking out at least once a week or when you go grocery shopping

Great place to go, always have deals and good prices, sometimes have expired, or close to date food but some stuff there is dirt cheap. And have a large variety of lactose intolerant foods, and milk.

This was my first time going here in a few years. They had good deals on some things, not others. I was not impressed during my visit because several price signs were wrong which led to alot of confusion. The cashiers werent very nice. I was not offered any help. My mask slipped off my face just a little on accident and I was yelled at for it, so I paid for what I had in my hands and left. I wont be going back.

Very good store to buy stuff that you cant buy anywhere else especially if its damaged. most of the damaged stuff theres nothing wrong with it they just cant sell it for full price at a regular store.

Dont like the people who work there

Normally I would say that this store is a great place to shop. However today I had a horrible experience. I went into the store today along with my three children that have medical issues that is not good for them to wear a mask. One of which has seizures that can not get over heated. So sitting outside without one wasnt an option. The other two have asthma. I was trying to nicely explain this to the employee that spoke to my children, however he did not want to hear why they came in without a mask. I realize that they are allowed to refuse service to anyone who does not wear a mask, however there is no need for rudeness. My children and I were social distancing and they did go get a mask to cover their faces when they were around others. He followed us around the store and as we were waiting in line he verbally attacked my family again.While there are great deals at this store, but because of this employee I will never be back. He is uncaring, and rude and has cased your store to loose customers.IT TAKES NOTHING TO BE NICE. Think about how you address people if you cant be courteous you should not be in public service.

My wife and I had a great experience shopping for groceries. The layout of the store was a little hard to grasp at first, but we quickly overcame that obstacle. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to find pretty much everything on our grocery list, we did have to modify a few items. They did not have exactly what we were looking for. But we were fine with the modifications. Our cart was full and our bill was under $100. We saved a lot of money by shopping there. Just keep an eye on expiration dates and you will have an enjoyable experience.

Great place to get discount food friendly workers that help you out with your bags

I love first stop shop Altoona, they have the best and friendliest staff. Theres always good deals. And often they offer to take your bags out to your car which is very helpful because often times you have so much stuff that you come out with.

Some items a great value, others average price. Out of date items can be super cheap!Staff very helpful, such as helping you load your vehicle.

Have to watch the prices because sometimes they are double what the supermarket is

This is a great store for low priced grocery items and household supplies at deep discounted prices. They run specials frequently where you can usually get cases of certain items for very very cheap. The staff is exceptionally friendly and even carry your bags to you vehicle for you!!!

I got a case of strawberries and 2 cases of yogurt, and was NOT offered any help talking items to my car. But, boy when they seem that young pretty girl with 1 bag of stuff, they were falling all over themselves asking her if she needed help. Needless to say, I ended up dropping my items sure to having shoulder surgery in the last year and strawberries went everywhere. I dont know why we cant take the grocery cart out to the parking lot. Its not like the storeownsthem. Seeing they actually belong to other grocery stores in the area. Otherwise, prices are great. On some items that is.

You have to check here often. Never know what theyre going to have, and when. Check expiration dates.... And if the parking lot is busy, and you value your car, park around the back. Great, friendly, helpful staff.

The employees are ALWAYS nice and very helpful. Yes, some of the stuff is close to expiring, but if youre careful, and come in on the right day, you can get fantastic deals there! The parking lot is a different story. It can get packed and crazy QUICKLY!

My husband is from this area, and anytime we come into town he likes to stop in. You can get deep discounts on groceries, but dont come expecting to see everything your local grocery store carries. Im not entirely certain how they obtain items, but my guess is a mix of overstock and other hard to sell items like damaged boxes, etc. They had gallon buckets of buttercream icing and various size huggies pull ups today. Its pretty small, as is the parking lot, so sometimes its hard to find parking or navigate the aisles but worth a trip if you like bargains and are willing to overlook damaged boxes or try interesting flavors. Staff are friendly and helpful.

It was clean and the prices are always so cheap. The service was fast even though theres only one check out line, the cashier obviously knew what she was doing. My only complaint is really how dark it is and I guess its so they save even more money but still, feels a little off putting

Sometimes you get good deals on stuff. But usually it is the same price if not sometimes more than any other grocery store. Theres a lot of expired food and sometimes the stuff is broken so have a keen eye when youre shopping here.
