I love this grocery store. They have such a wide selection of items and lots of healthy options. Very clean and quiet at certain hours of the day. Highly recommend

Absolutely love this grocery store has a wide selection of everything you could want.very organized check out lines. Excellent customer service. Best grocery carts in town with all the shelves built in drink n purse holder.Has a really great rewards program that either gives you money off your grocery bill or let you save significantly on gas from Get Go which is their sister gas station. For example I spend about $350 a week for a family of 6 ... that usually gets me .80 cents off per gallon. If I save for two weeks I save about 1.50 per gallon. Its well worth it!

This is probably one of the top 3 Giant Eagles Ive ever been in. Extremely clean, well organized, well stocked, beautiful displays, extremely friendly staff.... Im surprised to say Im blown away by a grocery store and envious that GE near me cant come close to competing with those one. Great job!

True a lot of the items are pricier than walmart, but I will gladly pay to be anywhere but Walmart. Also, if you follow sales they are competitive with pricing on the selected sell items. The meat section has some of the most beautiful cuts in town and produce is always good.

Had never been fortunate enough until the other day to visit a giant eagle grocery store. Availability and selections were more than enough to choose from. The deli was my lunch time favorite while out of town. Though view of giant eagle was higher than a friend of mine who wanted tacos from the deli for his lunch and nothing was available such as lettuce tomatoes sour cream taco sauce etc etc.

The selection at this store isn’t great, but you’ll likely find what you’re looking for, even if it’s not your favorite brand or the best price. I do wish they didn’t require you to buy 3 or 5 or 10 of something to get the discounted price, but that’s not specific to this store, and most grocery stores work this way anymore. Just beware that the discount isn’t always worth the bulk purchase.

A really big giant eagle in this place has good deal of groceries and discounts.

Excellent experience getting my first COVID shot. The wait was short, and the pharmacy was able to keep to their schedule. There was enough seating and everyone waiting was able to stay distanced.I was so impressed after hearing the horror stories from people who have used the mass vaccination fairs or other facilities. Giant Eagle has worked out a great system and has the right people.

I feel safe shopping here. They take pandemic precautions very seriously.

It was great, I love Giant Eagle.Its clean and they have nice produce. And its a local based company.

No complaints. I just need to remember that on quick trips with a short list, the Altoona G.E. is probably not my best option; unless I know that they have something that R.S. does not. Larger, clean store. Greeter at the entrance was pleasantly cheerful.

Best Breads - Tuscany 12 grain my favorite, gave white bread up completely.

The setup of the floorplan of this place feels so out of place backwards and downright depressing and for that reason I tend to avoid going there.

I would support and shop here. Product is better. People are nicer than Walmart. All Giant Eagle stores have a special touch that makes them unique. Strong people that do hard work. I will keep coming back.

Self checker just automatically called for help even though I didnt need it, I waited 5 minutes for help I didnt need. Everything is pretty expensive here, even most of the items on sale. Only came here because I had a gift card, I wont be back!!

Bought Rotten slimy rancid smelling filet mignon from the butcher 8 times as of today. Was nice about it at first and dealt with the store manager. Then to corporate who had regional handle it who just stuck up for his manager buddy. Today was the last time I will ever buy your meat. Last week was a bad entire chicken. The deli cut our cheese on the meat slicer and gave us cheese with meat chunks all through it and used red and white paper that made the cheese turn red lol. Now we have to ask to cut it on the cheese slicer with no meat. The produce is rotting. What is going on at this store?! Used to be the only place I would buy my meat and produce. Not anymore!

Refused to cut more steak because it was about 20 minutes before closing time on the last day of the sale. It’s one thing to be out. Refusal to cut more when you have it in the back or give a rain check on the price when asked is another. 🤷‍♂️ Circular should be corrected with times and not just dates if so.

My wife loves it. I waiting for mask restrictions to be lifted before Ill go back.

Employees are helpful, produce section is well organized and sometimes the apples are even polished, lol. Health and safety rules are clear and I enjoy the directional flow that helps social distancing. Also, curbside pickup is quick and convenient providing a truly contactless means of fulfillment.

This store offers a great variety of choices. They have a great ethic food section. I do love Giant Eagle. The onky reason I did not give all 5 stars because their prices tend to be higher than other stores in my area. Sometimes, paying a bit more is worth the options.

All the customers in the store must have got out of the wrong side of their beds. Employees were phenomenal other customers rude as hell.

Very friendly customer service and the bakery is amazing! I ordered a custom birthday cake and the almond torte for a family celebration and both were delicious, but the almond torte was the smash hit.

I asked the crew could if they could decorate a cake with a heart. My dad had heart surgery a few months ago & I was hoping to have something cheeky on this years birthday cake. This cake exceeded my expectations!!! My family & I where so please with they creative artwork that Kathy achieved. Thank y’all for such a memorable cake🎂

I do most of my shopping here. Its convenient. You do accumulate gas money discounts when you have a giant eagle card.A lot of the brands are giant eagle. They seem to push those. Especially the meats.I usually get my meat at Weis or local butcher.

Good pricing on some products. Nice selections in the meat department. I like their hot bar chicken very tasty. Unfortunately the cashiers are rude. I try to use self check out when ever possible. As tasty as the chicken at the hot bar is it is a pain trying to get anyone to wait on you. I have gone and there were literally three employees standing around the area everyone one of them saw me, but not ONE of them came over to help me. I think it is great they hirer mentally challenged people and give them work opportunities, however they really need to train them better. EVERY time I come in I get hit or almost hit by a cart because they arent paying attention. I was walking in the store one day and a guy was putting a motor cart back he literally about drove it right into me and another customer. Seriously if you are going to hirer the people thats great, but make sure they are capable of doing the job without trying to injure your customers. Next time I get hit I might just consider a law suit.

Its a Giant Eagle. This Grocery Chain would be a monopoly if it werent for places like Whole Foods and Trader Joes. I only go in Giant Eagle when necessary. 😟

Giant Eagle has a wonderful variety of groceries. Their produce is always fresh. Theyre a bit pricey but theyre worth it, especially if you want decent international food or vegetarian food.

Giant Eagle is huge. BUT bread,milk, eggs and bakery is at front for quick stop. Their gluten free Schars bread is way high compared to Walmart & Amazon

Used the drive up pharmacy, there were six cars ahead but the staff got through the line quickly, and the tech at the window for my transaction was very efficient and friendly.

Not happy seeing 2 security guards at the entrance making sure no one was without a mask. Looks as though the Gestapo is from Germany

This store is awesome.

I came here to get some frozen snacks specific food item as quickly as possible. I found what I was looking for in the frozen isle very quickly and moved onto to non GMO snacks. After quickly searching decided to ask somone. My plan was I just check out if I made it to register to ask, as it isnt always easy to find a employee at many stores walk8 around to help. Not 2 minutes after I make my choice I saw a person who was extremely helpful even though he was busy. After that I checked myself out for the speed and was on my way.

Very efficient at the pharmacy. My meds were ready just as they promised. The store was clean and well stocked. Grocery checkout was again efficient and friendly.

Easy parking but have to watch when you exit (vehicles coming from different directions). Friendly Staff and prices O.K.(need to watch fliers) but some items high. Have tendency lately of putting more of their brands on shelves and dont have selection. They should watch Walmart on pricing.

Not stocked as good compared to 10 years ago. Now we shop more at MARTINS, larger selection of name brand items. Id say the handwritings on the wall, store closing within a year. The G-Eagles dieing since it became a Corporate Orphan in Altoona, Pa.Nothing like manager-ownership for exuberance of customer service.

Very clean, organized, and they finally still had Asiago bagels at 11:30. Go Eagle!
