I took my F150 Raptor to General Auto Repair for a ton of electric work including the installation of 12 after-market fog/undercarriage/bed lights. They took care of me quickly and affordably and communicated every step of the way.90 days later my ignition locked up and went out, when I called and spoke to Rich he was honest and told me I was better off going directly through his mobile lock smith. He saved me the tow bill and the upsell and his locksmith, Todd, had my ignition unlocked and replaced within the hour.Hard to beat great service, great prices and honesty! Thanks guys.

Car stopped working while driving into Florida from Georgia. Had car towed here and the team was great. They were able to diagnose and fix my alternator quickly on my 07 xterra. They even stayed a little longer after shop closed to make sure things were working properly. Great experience. Definitely recommend them if in area.

Rich is extremely friendly, helpful, and honest. They do good work here and are good at following up. My friend/roommate had an issue with his brakes two weeks after I had a serious issue with my car and I referred him here. Rich looked up his car make and model and found that there was a recall and he didnt charge him for the information. He even printed out the information for him to take to the Jeep dealership. My roommate was able to go to the Jeep dealership and get his brakes fixed for free due to the recall. That was very honest and nice of Rich, other mechanics would try to make something up and get your money. Highly recommend this place! Will be taking my new car here from now on.

I took my wifes Lexus in about a week ago with kind of a strange problem with the suspensionthat any garage could have made up a couple stories and charge me a whole lot of money to fix it and I would not have known better. I have been a car dealer for 30 yearsand I have seen many honest and dishonest shops. I would absolutely recommend the shop to anybody. Rich got our car in and out the same dayand took a long time pinpointing the problem and fixing it without ordering a bunch of new parts. I was very impressed with his shops effort and with the time he took just a visit and be friendly how to make friends with a new customer.as I am becoming more of a full-time resident of the areaI will be taking everything I can to them because they are fair priced and you can trust them and they are friendly which is very hard to find all of those characteristics in any business these days. My car was towed in and the lady gave me a ride to my destination that was nearby. They are family owned and extremely affable and transparent. I would highly recommend.

Had to change breaks and a flat. They were able to change my breaks but not my flat because my tires were not round, They drained my battery listening to the radio and juiced it enough for me to get home. The next day I attempted to turn on my car and the battery was dead. It was an old battery so I understand but a heads up would have been nice. Overall bad experience.

Never have I ever had a more amazing car repair experience !I usually stick to pep boys or firestone and it was always such a cold worrisome endeavor.I had an issue Ive been going to pep boys for since December and they kept repairing the wrong parts and charging me so much. My boyfriend recommended General Auto repair and they fixed the main issue in a single day and were so nice, friendly and reliable. I will be going there from now on for everything down to my oil changes.

Let me just say this, finding a good honest mechanic is probably one of the most valuable things to have in life. Rich and the boys at general auto are exactly that. They do fantastic work with the most reasonable honest cost. I live over 35 miles away from the shop and wouldnt think twice driving there to have work done to my car. Purchased my civic a few months ago then three days later the car starts to leak. I looked up a place that has good reviews and General auto repair had great reviews. Everyone there was friendly and my car was serviced within two days for the leak. I drive the car home the next day I find the car is still leaking in my drive way (this time The leak was less than the previous time). I called the shop they told me to bring it in and they will spot the leak easily since they placed some dye to see where its coming from. My car stayed at the shop almost for a week. When I picked up the car I paid again and drove it home. The next day I notice the car is still leaking and now it its smoking from the tail pie and near the exhaust manifold. I called that Friday and the owner was out of town. I called Monday a gentleman apologized and said the owner is still out of town and he took my number down and said the owner would call me back (Never happened). I ended up paying over $500 and still have an oil leak. I cant say they are the reason the car is smoking but I can say the oil leak is not fixed. I would not take my car back here. Now I have to find a new car.

Had to replace a radiator, thermostat, and two CV joints. They finished everything the day I brought the car in. Not the cheapest price, but not the highest either. Service was excellent. Will use then again.

Ive brought my truck in a few times, all for different reasons (brakes, cooling system, transmission, and standard maintenance). These guys know what theyre doing and they get it done fast! General Auto is the only place I trust for auto repairs.

I just had the most surreal experience at this location. Honestly I’m not entirely sure this wasn’t a fever dream or I’d somehow slipped into the twilight zone. When I first entered shop it seemed completely empty. The only sound, the murmuring of some unseen television. Ok, I guess it’s a good thing people aren’t having too many car troubles at the moment. As I approach the empty reception desk I can see a dark alcove with a cardboard cutout of a man lurking inside. Despite potentially being in a horror movie I called out a shaky hello. An older gentleman slinks from the waiting room, possible disenchanted that I was interrupting whatever he was watching. He looks at me nonplussed, I explain my car troubles. He shrugs and tells me he can’t so much as look at my car till Monday. I slowly look around the abandoned shop, then back at him. He explains he is the only one there and he’s working on a motor. Briefly I wonder if I showed up Sunday at 6pm instead of Friday around noon. After a brief stalemate it finally dawns on me that this man just doesn’t want my business so I ask if he knows any other shops in the area. No, nothing close by. I guess even in this bizarro land it’s still not good practice to give unwanted customers your competitors names. Defeated I leave, and either out of courtesy or an immense desire to get rid of me he holds the door open for me. Idk if this is a fair rating but I came because of the glowing reviews. All in all this may be a great place, idk. All I can tell you is maybe don’t show up on a Friday around noon.
