Wow they are charging way over price on their Celebrations Product. Literally selling ETB that retail for $59.99 for over $120?!?! I literally just got 2 on eBay for $135 shipped. Thought supporting my local card store was the move since I’m a huge collector in this hobby but it seems like they are really greedy here for money. Rather making local customers happy. They charging 2x-3x msrp just to do what scalpers are doing for free online. I don’t get why they even have a LGS when they can save rent and sell online…

Save $100 and just order from TCGplayer or StockX… your reply below doesn’t even justify why your marking up prices like that. Your the same store who went to every Mc Donald’s and bought everything up (grown men buying happy meals btw) just to then resell for higher, so your same excuses of how the market is up and how lack of stock you got in is not even a valid statement, if your going to charge higher then stock x & tcg player for not just sealed product but your singles then why bother being a LGS? Save yourself the stress & just sell on eBay like the other million scalpers.

Had several great interactions with the staff here. Went in today with a budget and commander deck theme in mind and the staff was extremely helpful in picking out and suggesting cards for me to add.

This business lost a long time customer today due to engaging in what can only be described as egregious and unreasonable price gouging. Pokémon Celebrations Elite Trainer Boxes have an MSRP of 49.99 and can be found at reputable local game stores in town (such as Noble Collectibles) for 59.99, and the increased price at these retailers is reflective of the cross-the-board increase in wholesale per item price which is currently around an extra ten dollars per box. Twin Suns is currently charging 124.99 for the Celebrations Elite Trainer Box. This ridiculous price cannot be explained by increased distribution, transportation, or wholesale costs and is entirely the result of exploitative business practices. I myself will never return to Twin Suns comics, and will advocate for a full Boycott within the Albuquerque community.

The store has a good selection of Mtg cards for a fair price. the dude at the counter was helpful to me, but he kind of ignored my mom and friend that were there to get cards as well. So because of that he lost the business of my mom. There were 2 dudes there who could have helped search for cards but only did, maybe the one dude was over whelmed and only focused on me because I was asking first? But the other dude working should have jumped in to help and they wouldnt have lost business🤷‍♂️ I would go over there again but I cant say I would recommend it over the eclectic cave on central

Nice selection of comics but focused on major brands ie DC and Marvel. But definitely if your into Magic the Gathering and other dueling card games this is you place. Also depending on the employee working have had good and bad experiences with staff.

A really fun place to make friends and play MTG. EDH/commander casuals on Wednesdays. Prerelease as well. The shop also has plenty of comics, figures, collectibles, and board games.

Twin Suns Comics and Games is a really nice and fun local game store. They have loads of great things in their store, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I dont go for the comics, mainly just the games, but they have a great selection of both. The only reason I cant give them a 5 star review is that their website is not user friendly on a mobile device.

Although they have a nice comic selection, this is another group of scalpers that raid the targets and walmarts for pokemon cards among other products and resell them for double and sometimes triple the price. These people are making people quit the hobbies they love because they are scalping everything they can get their hands on.

After dealing with this store twice, I have to say, I hope they fire everyone including the management and hire all new staff.

Ill leave room to change opinion but as of right now, this is what a game and comic store should be! The selection of board games was not the largest but covered a wide range of styles and didnt just cater to the cult of the new. There were lots of collectibles that were well displayed. Im not a huge comic book person myself, but that collection seemed resonant well represented. The gaming area in the back was large and well lit. Best of all, the staff member who was there at the time was extremely helpful and kind. I cannot wait to go back!

Great board game selection, friendly staff, and a clean store. Great for families, a regular game group, or just shooting the breeze with the staff. It is a game store that makes a great impression and avoids the dark crowded aesthetic of some other shops. The staff are knowledgeable, provide great game suggestions and have no problem placing orders if you dont see it on their shelf. My favorite game shop in Albuquerque, and one of my favorite places in Albuquerque period.

I had pre-ordered a Dungeons and Dragons book and expected it on release day. I went in this evening (4 days passed said date) to inquire and the cashier made me feel as if I was in the way. When I had asked if my order had come in he said, Its not out yet. I am not stupid, I checked the release date and it was for the Tuesday that just passed. When I mentioned that it was already released he suggested I go to Barnes and Noble. I got a refund for my order. If I am not appreciated as a customer, I will spend my money elsewhere.

Went to the store for the first time yesterday... I just started playing Magic The Gathering a few months ago so Im still a noob. The guys there were friendly and amazing. I bought some very good cards at good prices. I also stayed for Friday Night Magic and entered the Draft tournament (my first ever!). I enjoyed it immensely and I would definitely return. All the staff was great and answered all my questions, they were very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Twin Suns... they have a great selection of games, comics and memorabilia. Looking forward to more Magic events at Twin Suns! :)

Fun, friendly atmosphere for playing Magic the gathering. Pretty solid stock of comics, graphic novels, and tabletop gaming supplies as well. Definitely one of the best hobby shops in New Mexico. The twins, who own the place, are pretty cool, and the rest of the staff is good as well. Highly recommended for nerds far and wide.

I went to buy something and he told me to give him the money and leave because I’m “wasting his time”. I literally just walked in and asked for the product and he got really angry. Cool store, just wish I wasn’t treated badly for no reason. Won’t be shopping here anymore. If you don’t mind horrible staff then shop here, if not then I would go elsewhere.

Stopped by today while waiting for a table at lunch, talked with the gentleman behind the counter asking about some X-Wing products. He offered to sell me a core set at a good discount, so I happily obliged. Very friendly and knowledgeable individual, hopefully I will have some time to stop by again in the future. Rude, sad guy working there today, on a Sunday. My 10 year old son, who has spent many dollars there before dropped a plastic Thanos gauntlet figure from like two feet up, one of the least breakable, cheep things in the store, and he hollered at us” no need to wreck the place guys”. Dude, we had been there for like 20 minutes looking at comic books and that’s the first thing he chooses to say to us? Lame. Apparently not a very kid friendly place. We won’t be back. We were at Astro Zombies yesterday, much nicer staff and better selection.

The fella at the register was super rude. Acted like I was an inconvenience for asking to look through a few boxes of Magic singles. He actually rolled his eyes. I should have left. Instead, I ended up paying $17 for about 40 common and uncommon cards which would have cost me about $5 on TCG Player. Shipping and all. I am all for supporting local business, and I have shopped here before, but this is THE LAST time I will go there.

Second time it was dead, and I sold some magic cards for a decent price. Selling cards was very informal and quick, but I felt awkward because employee/owner was kinda unwelcoming. Didnt get a Hello! or Welcome! And I felt like I was inconveniencing when I had to interrupt their magic game to ask questions. Otherwise it is a great store!

Good place to play, but godawful at ordering anything, especially preorders. Over the past couple months, Ive tried to invest 100s of dollars into new releases for a game, and have either been forced to wait weeks post release, or go elsewhere to get my product. Guess the Twins dont want my money.

This game shop has only ever brought me good experiences in the years I have spent their. When I was young I would play DnD in their excellent play space, as a teen I found great community in their Friday night magic, and now as an adult they have been endlessly help as I involve them in the creation of my own games. This is a place where fun, passion, and inspiration can truly flourish.

I walked in looking for some information on some cards that I had and one of the staff members was very rude and disrespectful for no reasons. Went in around 2 o clock on a Saturday, pretty non-busy. Wanted to buy some Magic cards and didnt get much help from the store clerk who was chatting with a friend of his. I was not greeted when I entered nor was I really helped until I interrupted the clerks conversation. I am new to the area and wasnt told anything about Friday Night Magic (which I found out later they hosted) or any other events or promotions in the store. I will probably take my business elsewhere next time I need a fat pack or booster box. Wasnt a fan, wasnt impressed. Needs better staff. Prices were competitive with the area.

Usually this place is fine, but occasionally there is someone working there that just acts like you shouldn’t be there. They have this attitude like if you aren’t friends with them then you don’t deserve to be in their store.

Im so done with this store. The only store that Ive been playing Heroclix in for about 5+ years and they cant post anything on the Wizkids Event System properly. Ive been calling the store 3 weeks prior to a pre-release Heroclix event. I was told by the person at the store, I dont know when the pre-release is. Talk to James. Also, check the website for when the pre-release is. Ive been checking Facebook, Wizkids Event System, and even Twin Suns very own website for the pre-release and nothing! Today, I call again to find out when the pre-release is and its today! I asked James when did he post it and he says 6PM the day prior to the event. What??? How are people supposed to make sure they can attend if they dont know about when the stores own event is? Only ONE person knows and he doesnt post until the night before. Im done with this store. I dont think the store cares anyway. Dont even bother replying to this review. Good riddance.

Twin Suns is a great place to buy and sell cards. The owners are often times not only fair but generous. Twin Suns is also a great place to take part in gaming events and make new friends.

I came to try and trade in some MTG cards worth $10 and up. Previous cashier had no problem, the guy tonight didnt even look at my cards, but said he wouldnt take bulk and I was wasting his time. Fair if you dont want trade-ins, but there was no reason to be rude. Probably just caught him on a bad night, but I didnt appreciate the treatment, and I wont be back.

One of the better game stores Ive called my FLGS. Pretty much the best store in Albuquerque right now. Great gaming space, and they are willing to support a wide variety of games, even those that are more niche. For some product lines, they dont have a lot of shelf space for lots of items, but theyre generally pretty good about making/getting special orders in. Likewise, theyre very good about maintaining comic subscriptions, and have been very good in my experience about getting back issues on series I had missed starting subscriptions. Ive had no problems with the staff or owners, and they are generally quite friendly.

Probably best selection of tabletop games, besides Warhammer, in town. Staff not to helpful for explaining things to new people UNLESS this is some sort of event or game going on. If you attend an game session they will help you understand everything.

I really enjoy coming here if I need MTG cards. Its also nice to stop by and look at the board game selection. If they dont have a game you are looking for, a lot of times you can pre pay them for it and theyll order it for you!
