As a woman who is not knowledgeable about car repair, I am always hesitant about going to any auto repair shops. However, this is one the first times I left feeling like I wasn’t made to overspend or convinced of getting unnecessary repairs. It’s also the first time I didn’t have to call someone who knew about cars to make sure I wasn’t being manipulated.They were super clear and the pictures that they send of your car are very helpful. They are also very reasonably priced and the people are soooo friendly. I’ll only be coming here for all my future car needs.

Short story: These folks are absolutely terrific! Long story: moving our daughter across country, her Forester began having serious engine issues just outside Albuquerque. Called AAA for a tow. Subaru dealership in town never answered. We left messages (to this day theyve never returned the call). The Subaru Guys answered straight away, and despite being busy, said bring it in they would take a look. Arrived during lunch break. Service manager and a couple of techs rolled the car onto a lift, pulled the oil filter, cut it open and drained it. Confirmed what they feared. The engine was gone. To keep several hours at their shop brief, they were beyond kind and compassionate while we tried to figure out next steps. We tried to give them something for helping us out, but they refused. Said they hoped a shop elsewhere would do the same for them if they were in our shoes. God bless them. I cant think of a better service experience in my many years!

These folks saved us! 🙏 We traveled from DGO to ABQ and our coolant started leaking. We called them and they got us in the same day and offered us a free diagnostic and solved our problem within the hour as we sat in their very nice outside seating area. They were extremely friendly, timely, helpful, and explained everything. Thank you Reincarnacion! Truly a blessing for a couple weary travelers!

These guys are excellent. They were able to diagnose a suspension problem that others had incorrect. They are extremely busy but at no time did I feel I was not their only customer. If you own a Subaru these guys rock.

This place is amazing! I was coming through on a road trip and they were immediately able to set me up with an appointment. When I arrived they took my car in within 10 min. Since it was chilly and I was sitting outside working while I waited, Juan even offered me coffee. Very helpful and nice people. The outdoor space where you can wait is lovely with table/benches and even a few flower boxes. A very thoughtful and thorough place. My car was in great condition when I got it back and I wish I lived here so I could use them on a regular basis. Thank you!

This is the only shop in town I take my WRX to. They are great! Just got a 100k package done on my car. Juan helped me this last time, he was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They will go through every item, part, and process that is going to happen on the repairs and tell you in detail about the associated costs. I really liked the diagnostic analysis they send via email- it comes with pictures of your car along with pictures of any problems/everything they are going to work on. I also appreciate the Covid-19 safety procedures they follow. Highly recommend.

After an accident we had a few minutes to decide where to tow our Tundra. We had heard good things about this place and decided to give it a try. We were pleased the staff searched for used parts and did quality work with cost in mind. Thanks to these folks the truck will go another 100k!

The best mechanics in the galaxy. Known galaxy. Seriously. This is an amazing place. My 2003 Forester has 200,000 hard miles and runs thanks to this shop. Honest and kind and funny and good looking, the whole crew at Reincarnation and the Subaru Guys are totally dedicated to giving you excellent and efficient service. Also, they go way above and beyond. During my last visit included fixing my brake and dome lights without me remembering to tell them. They washed my car once after a major repair. Every customer is pretty much a lifer, so dont go in unless you are ready for a serious commitment.

I have been taking my 4Runner to Reincarnation since it got up to 100k miles... that was 70k miles ago! Regular maintenance on the vehicle is one thing and Reincarnation are reliable, knowledgable and not pushy (at all) with add-on services. When it comes to the bigger stuff like brake service, timing belt, drive train, etc. the Reincarnation team provide exceptional service that is knowledge based. They know what is up and if they dont they dig their heels into it to get the issue resolved. Never for a second did I think that my Yota was in the wrong hands. I have recommended Reincarnation to many friends and family over the years and now Im recommending it to you, the internet.

This was my first time at Reincarnation. People waiting with me spoke highly of the company. One said she used to only come to them for major servicing but now comes for everything, including oil changes. On the wall they have plaques from the Weekly Alibi rated #1 auto service center for several years in a row.My experience was great. They called to tell me other issues they found with the car during inspection and the cost and time required for repairs. I feel their prices are reasonable. But more importantly, I felt I was treated with respect. I had called Fiesta Subaru over a week ago and left 2 messages (rarely does anyone in service pick up the phone) and I still have not heard from them. I am now a loyal Reincarnation customer.

Juan and team did a great job repairing our ‘05 Subaru. Brought the car in on a Friday for diagnosis and estimate. Diagnosis was done quickly and the estimate was reasonable. They were able to schedule our service for the following Monday. All work (including some additional work that was also reasonably priced) was completed on Monday as planned. Will use them for our other Subaru service as well. Highly recommend!!!

Great shop seems to have done a good job, they forgot to do something they said theyd do but it was a favor anyway. They werent great at keeping me updated but I was happy for the most part with the service.

This is a fun shop, from the interesting art on the walls to the healthy snacks at the coffee machine, to the witty conversation with shop manager Juan Santana. All the mechanics are nice and competent, too! Friendly, homey, reasonably priced, knowledgeable service. AND they dont just work on Subarus. I get my old Volvo serviced there after my Subaru-owning neighbor recommended the shop. Kudos to locally owned businesses like this one with excellent work habits and ethical philosophies!

Wish I could give Juan and the guys at Reincarnation 100 stars. We showed up before they opened after a 5 day ordeal trying to drive back home to Florida from Utah. We broke down in Utah then tried to make it to our next stop in Dallas when we broke down again in Albuquerque. We showed up, told them our situation, and they immediately took our car and went to work. The problem was our transmission which was under warranty and we needed to get back to Dallas urgently for work- so Juan literally gave us a wrench out of their shop and spent time showing us how to reset the battery of the problem happened again so that we could leave and try to get to the Subaru in Texas. He even refused payment from us. Wow. I am so so thankful we found this place and went with our gut to come here. We will never forget the generosity and honesty of Juan and the staff at reincarnation. Truly kind people. I wish all good thing to come their way.

I’ve wanted a 2002 WRX since, well, 2002. Against the better judgment of every Internet forum and my mechanically inclined friends, I pulled the trigger on buying someone else’s project car (the price was right and the car is cherry for being old enough to vote, don’t judge). Aftermarket everything, swapped suspension, etc. Car was throwing more codes everyday. Needless to say, I needed some help.The ‘Subaru Guys’ did not disappoint. Some heroes wear capes and some, of the best, wear beards and gold & black T-shirts. Not only did they assuage my fears I’d taken on a lemon, they got me passed emissions and sent me a 41 point inspection recap (with pictures) illustrating everything I needed to bring the car up to snuff.Will absolutely be going back, not only for their expertise with my Japanese beauty, but also because their demeanor has no trace of condescension or ego. Truly amazing mechanical knowledge and polite, professional attitude to boot. Best garage I’ve ever been to. 10/10 will go again.

Ive gone on road trips recently and have felt very confident about the mechanical condition of my car because of the care Reincarnation gives. Amazing service. We were driving cross-country from AR to CA and had 4 lights come on our dash. Called them an hour and a half out from Abq and they said they’d take a quick look to be sure we were safe to keep driving (we have 2 small kids and a cat with us). They ran the diagnostics, reset our system alerts and had us back on the road within a half hour. Said it’s probably an oxygen sensor, but that we’re safe to get home and to a dealer. No charge for their time. Great people! (This was all after calling a Subaru dealer that told us they’d need all afternoon to diagnose.)

Weve been going to them for years. Our work was always done at the dealer but that gets pricey after a while. Their rates were more reasonable and quality was Excellent. Jared is just an awesome gentlemen to do business with. The integrity he brings to his business is just first class. Also, the customer service Juan provides is also amazing. Ive always been happy with them and in recent months, I was taken back for what they did for me. Again, just amazed at their level of service.

Amazing crew. I had what I thought was an emergency driving to a conference. I called some places before calling them and none of them would even look at my car without an appointment. They took me in right away checked my car and fixed what was wrong with it. It turned out to be a super simple thing thankfully. I was able to return home safely. This is what good customer service means. I will be bringing my car in next time I have to be in the area for sure!

I took my 09 Outback to Reincarnation after all self diagnosis failed. The ck engine light indicated all four cylinders misfiring. I changed out multiple sensors. They found the problem, fixed it and now I’m completely happy taking my car to Reincarnation. 100 percent satisfied.

Had a vehicle in for a pre purchase inspection. Wasnt able to make it in person but this was no issue. Staff called me after the checks had been done. Talked me through any concerns they had and directed me to a link to see full inspection notes. With a full break down of what was checked. Images where applicable. With a very simple traffic light system to help you work it all out.Couldnt have been happier with how it all went. If they were local to me i would not hesitate to use them for any future work.Highly recommend

I have been going to Reincarnation ever since I moved back to ABQ with my Subi. Always happy with the quality and service. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a quality mechanic they can trust.

Best mechanics around. Juan is honest, straightforward, and he ensures that everyone who works for him does careful work, that makes sense to do. In my experience they don’t charge labor if they cause a problem or if they spend time with your car and can’t find a fix. They have never recommended a repair to me which was not needed or didn’t make sense in hindsight. There are cheaper mechanics out there, but you get what you pay for in terms of integrity and experience. I hope reincarnation never changes.P.S. while they specialize in Subaru, they are also known as experts in Volvo, and Toyota, and I have taken our Nissan there with excellent experiences as well.

If you want someone that works on your car like it is his/her own, these are the guys you want to take your car to. Heidi and Eric were very friendly and accommodating. The owner was very thorough too, walk me through everything they did after the car was fixed and showed me the old parts etc..They gave good recommendations on what to fix and options where you might be able to save some dollars. And that I did in comparison to the dealer. They were reasonable on price, might not be the cheapest though. However cheapest is not always the best. They even tried to fix my taillight when I didnt ask for it for free! (still didnt work though...) Really good service. After two weeks of driving, the truck feels great! So far so good on the suspension work that they did.Definite recommendation.

Made my oil change appointment online. I had to change appointment so I made another appointment online, called Reincarnation to inform them of the change. It took less than 30 seconds to confirm the change, awesome! My oil change was reasonably priced. They informed me of up coming service needs and the time frame to address them.I’m currently shopping for a new car and my search is based on purchasing a vehicle that Reincarnation can service. I enjoy taking me & my partners Subarus to this staff of Subaru experts!

Will not return. I took my Subaru here to have a full inspection. They told me they would be done at 12. Around 1:00 we called and they said they were almost done and needed 30 mins. Around 3:00 we called again and they told us our car has been ready since 12 but they didnt think to inform us. We went to pick up the vehicle and get an estimate for how much it would cost to fix a few things. The man we spoke to explained how they do it a special way and its very expensive although what he was describing is just standard procedure. Dont be fooled by these specialty mechanics. One whole day later he finally sent an estimate and for one of the two things we need done he quoted us 1400 meanwhile I called my favorite mechanics and for two things they quoted me 1100. These guys are overpriced and completely unprofessional. If you are looking for a good mechanic who doesnt overcharge and treats you nicely whether you have money to spend or not go to Japanese Car Care. Learned my lesson and will not try any other mechanics in town.

My wife took in her Honda CRV to the Honda dealership for two nails in her tire. They told her that they were not going to be able to patch up the tire and charged $150 to replace the tire. I have taken my Subaru here since I moved to Albuquerque and we decided to take her car here to get a second opinion. They took a look at the tire and told her that they would try to patch it up. They gave her updates, and worked endlessly on that tire so it would not have to be replaced. She is now driving with that same tire and has had no problems. Absolutely trust these guys, and they are extremely genuine! My wife will now be taking her car to Reincarnation from now on!

The guys that work here are really nice and do great work on your car. They specialize in Subarus but can work on ant car. Their prices are reasonable and fair.

The Subaru Guys are top notch!!!! I will only take my Subaru here from now on. They took time out of their busy schedules to inspect my car when my check oil light came on and was having issues with my headlight. With a simple fix of the expert technician I was back on the road and at no charge! They even took a screw out of my tire that I didnt see (at no charge). With all of my terrible experiences with car mechanics/car shops prior to this, I am so grateful to stumble upon this great place. I highly recommend this shop even if you dont have a Subaru. I own a 2006 Forester that I purchased almost 13 years ago. I love it. I recently called and spoke to both Juan, the Service Manager and Aaron, Service Advisor, to get a quote. Both took their time and patience to listen to my concerns and then explain to me what was required. We took time to discuss other potential repairs that had to be or not done and when. If I could give The Subaru Guys a 10, I would. Their expertise, knowledge and professional care and interests in my Forester was as if they were the owners. I appreciated both their honestly and upfrontness on what my options were to get the Forester back on the road. We scheduled the drop-off and pickup day. During the repair process they discovered that the inner joint to the front left axle was coming apart and replaced it at cost of parts only. The Detailed printout of the repairs and inspection checklist they provided was one of the best that I have received from a repair service.If you want a Subaru repair shop that has professional, honest and dependable people, managed in a way that you feel as if you are their number one customer (they treat everyone like it, from what I saw when I was there), then I highly recommend them to service your vehicle. They treat it as if it they owned it. I live in 3.5 hours from their shop, but I would drive 8.0 hours one-way to have them do any repairs to my Forester. Friendly, there-for-you and simply the BEST! Like majority of the reviews this place does good work. They are skilled at their jobs, communication and service. While I was there I felt at home. The entire staff was friendly. I will be bringing my car back any time it needs work.

These guys are awesome! I called them while on a road trip and needed my car to have a quick check up basically and I was able to get an appointment the next day. In just a short amount of time they checked my car over and fortunately everything was okay but they did remove a piece of road debris that was stuck somewhere in my car. I would have definitely trusted them with anything else on my car and will be stopping back for the next ride through new mexico. They are honest and friendly.

Incredibly fast and friendly service. These guys went above and beyond what they were supposed to do. I was not jerked around like I usually am with other auto shops. These guys saved our hides. While traveling with my daughter, my Subaru Forester broke down 90 miles from Albuquerque, and many miles from a town! We had to confirm a shop to take the car to before we made the towing arrangements. We tried the nearest Subaru dealership, but could not get through to the service department. Left two messages before they called back two hours later, but they seemed very non-committal about when they could look at the car, much less work on it. I started researching other options and found Reincarnation. I explained my plight, and Juan told me they would take in the car. Within an hour of arriving, they diagnosed the problem and said they could fix it the next day. The problem stemmed from a bad part that had recently been replaced. By early afternoon the next day, they had our car fixed and we were on the way. I am so grateful to them! They communicated well, and gave us options without hard-selling us on extras. Thank You!

We have taken our Subaru to The Subaru Guys twice now and are so pleased with the quality of work and customer service they provide! We are hopeful our car will be around for many miles under their honest care.

Highly skilled mechanics but they greased up my interior so badly that I had to spend another 189.00 to get the interior back to normal...Sorry guys but this is NOT ACCEPTABLE. Do better!ADDENDUM:After I left a 2 Star review I was contacted by a member of the Reincarnation Staff about what they could do about my dissatisfaction with having my interior greased up, after speaking with Juan they agreed to reimburse the 189.00 for the cost of the interior detailing on Tuesday 7/31/2018 on 8/4/2018 I received a check in the mail for 189.00!!! The total cost of the interior detailing. This is called Service Recovery for those who DO NOT know..Thank you guys! For showing what business ethics look like in this business.

Jared and his crew are awesome! Been there several times and have had all the work done that was needed, from small to large jobs. 08 Outback still running strong, thanks in much part to The Suby Guys!!! We live three hours away so they are very accommodating with scheduling! Awesome experience!!! Highly recommended!

DISHONEST PRICE QUOTE. Power steering pump went out. Used YouTube and a couple of Subaru forums to easily diagnose it was in need of a pump. I’m an aviation mechanic so I know cost analysis and I know how to find the solution at the lowest cost possible. Found an OEM Subaru pump at retail price of $285 online. Would need to transfer the pulley wheel and two hose connections and replace the connections o-rings which are $2 a piece. That brings the parts to $289 pre tax and shipping. I was told the pump was $450 and a suction hose I found for $30 on the same retail site would come out to $600. Labor was gonna be close to $400, OVER $200 AN HOUR?!?!,(Subaru quoted $150 for 1.5 hours of labor, $100 an hour!!!) with an anticipated cost of $1000. Called Garcia Subaru who quoted the entire job for $600. I’ve spent the last 5 years taking our Outback here, dropped a couple thousand on routine and unscheduled maintenance. Today I will no longer take my business to them. I will be doing the replacement myself because I value honesty, work ethic and earned income in that order.

Brought in my 2011 Subaru Forester for service and they were very reasonable and honest on what needed to be done. Will continue to be a regular customer.
