Ive always had great service at Brakemasters. Cory Baber has been a steadfast fixture there for a long time. He genuinely seems to care about his customers and will go out of his way to make sure you are taken care of. Without going into specifics, he did me a huge solid yesterday and I am grateful. They performed great work and at a fair price.

Ive been getting my oil, coolant, tire rotations, and transmission fluid done here for the past four years with no problems. Cory runs a tight ship and makes sure that every question or concern is addressed. I usually make appointments for my routine maintenance. Just make sure to mention that you want a new o-ring when you go there for an oil change.

Cory is SUPER AMAZING!!! Always nice and professional. Gives an honest opinion good or bad. You are guaranteed not to be deceived when taking your car to this particular Brake Masters. He is like having the best brother/friend/uncle/dad/husband for all your car needs.

I got new tires at Discount Tires on Coors and they referred me for a wheel alignment at $49.99 please tell me why they charged me $65. Then said it was expired but didn’t have a date on it, I paid but won’t returns

The customer service was excellent. Got an oil change done on my VW that usually costs twice as much at the dealer. They did a complimentary multipoint inspection and tire rotation also. Very satisfied with my experience, will be returning for all my oil changes and basic maintenance.

I was sure I needed new brakes when I dropped my car off, but when I came back for my car, the nice gentleman at the counter told me my brakes were fine, just dirty. They cleaned the brakes, adjusted the rear brakes and didnt charge me anything. What a great experience. And making the appointment online was easy.

The service was provided in a timely manner; I dropped the vehicle off ahead of my appointment, and the job was done in less than than an hour. I am awarding four stars because I wasnt notified (despite having given my mobile number) of the finished work. Still, kudos for to the team!!

This shop is unprofessionalism is unreal. First they dont honor their brake lifetime warranty as they State on their advertisement. They give you a hassle about it. I made my appointment a week in advance to come in and when I got here they told me they were 15 cars ahead of me. Unacceptable. They knew I needed to bring my vehicle in at 7:30 in the morning for my 8 a.m. appointment.they knew I needed to be at work by noon. This is why I made the appointment a week in advance. I ended up leaving there at 2:30 in the afternoon and having to miss work. And then they were as rude as hell.

I like the people (staff) tell you what your car needs or if they have a problem theyll let you know sooner.

They were fast, professional and explained what needs to be done. Just be sure to schedule in advance.

Scheduled appointment was at 8am. As of 9:30 they still hadnt pulled my vehicle in. I left at that point.

So they dont offer a shuttle service but they took me home anyway!

Go in for an oil change with full synthetic. Had a coupon for $54.95. Was told that I had to pay for an additional quart, $9.99. Got the bill and it was $76.58. There was an additional $3.00 for hazardous disposal and $3.45 for shop supplies. I can accept the hazardous disposal but include it in with the coupon. But what shop supplies? Seriously? Be cautious because they will nickel and dime you. Manager did not seem to concerned about keeping my business.

Honest, good service. My only complaint is they allowed someone without a mask to sit in the lobby (where I was waiting for my car). He eventually went outside but Im not sure if that was his choice or was asked to go outside by the people that work there. Cases are on the rise and this is not acceptable.

It was 5pm & they took my jeep in quickly. I was very pleased.

I took my truck in to get the breaks checked. I was told that I needed new breaks and that the rotors could no longer be machined. I was quoted $1,394 for new breaks and rotors. I was told that my front breaks were under warranty so those wouldn’t be charged. I was in a hurry to get my breaks done so at the time I didn’t really think things through. After picking my truck up I went over the breakdown of the costs. I was told that each rotor was $200 so it made sense that the charges would be high. So this was the breakdown of my charges: Front Brakes and rotors $125 labor, $399.90 rotors. Rear Breaks $125 labor, $119 pads, $399.90 rotors, brake fluid flush $48.00, fluid $11.95. I called and spoke with the manager Corey and told him that I looked at rotors for the F250 and there is no way they were that expensive.He said to call some wholesalers locally and call him back and he gave me the parts numbers. I asked him if the rotors were premium rotors and he said that is all they use. I called a local wholesaler and not only were the rotors not premium, they were standard and the front rotors were $80 each and the rear were $88. I called him back to give Corey the information and he said they get them from a different place and they cost more than that. He said in the future he would think about purchasing them from the local distributer I called. Side note, he already orders stuff from the local place because they know who he is. He asked how he could fix this and offered to give me $100 back for the front and back rotors. I told him I wanted at least $300 back. He asked to give me a call back. When he called back he said that he could do $250 because there are additional costs involved to cover a 1 year warranty. I finally agreed so that I could at least save some face and get at least $250 back from corporate.He said he could maybe do $300 if I do in store credit. I just said to give me the $250 back. I have never posted a review in the past before but I am this time because I really want people to know how terrible this place is and how they take advantage of people. So to break it down the cost from how I see it after researching would be a total of $629.95 + tax and disposal fee. That breakdown is given based on the local distributer charging $80 for the front each rotor and $88 for each rear. So I was charged $1,394. I am being refunded $250. So take that from the total I am paying $$1,144 for the brake work when it should have costed me $629.95. So what I would like to know is where did the rest of $514.05 go?I know I am saying a lot here but I really want to caution people on this location. I always used to go to the Brake Masters on Coors and Ladera and they were great. They “actually” were honest when I would bring my truck in and they never overcharged me. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not take your vehicles to this location. The last thing they are is “HONEST”.

They take it advantage of people and definitely over charge on everything how are you going charge me $300 in labor for two rear brakes? Almost paying $900 in total for two rear brakes!!! Please please save your time and save your money and avoid this location at all costs unless you want to get it taken advantage of

Corey is very honest and goes the extra distance to ensure customer satisfaction and job well done. I prefer to drop off and pick up later to give them time to work so I can’t speak to timeliness when waiting. They give you a call when ready and give you all the details when your there to pick up. I’ll be a long time customer as long as he’s there.

Shady management shady people ! I took my truck hunting and got it muddy. I looked at my Rotors and brakes and everything looked ok I sprayed break cleaner on them . I still had a little noise when stoping not bad but noticeable so I took it in to get checked out an hour and a half latter the manager took me in the shop and showed me a front driver Rotor that was metal on metal ( I had just looked at the rotors on my truck in the the parking lot and they were not damaged) he said that they needed to replace both front rotors. I Immediately question why both rotors needed replacement he then changed his mind on both and said only the damaged one . He then asked if they could do the work . I then said how much would it cost to fix . But at this point I’m furious because I know they put a different rotor on my truck all I want is my truck put back together so I can leave. I tell him to put my truck back together! He shows me an invoice for 1150.00 to fix . I am adamant I don’t want them to work on my truck they put it back together. And it’s unsafe to drive at this point . I drive out of the parking lot across the street and park . Completely mad 😡! I then drove a half mile to O’Reilly auto parts. Had to buy a new rotor and front break pads cost (114.57) and barrow tools to fix it myself . They put a damaged rotor on my truck and took the break pad out . These people are strait up crooks. The crazy part is trusting people go there get completely ripped off and have know idea . I know breaks I could have fixed anything that was wrong. I figure I got sand or a Little Rock stuck in behind the rotors witch was causing it to make a noise. It was not metal on metal when I got there . But when I left it was . Please do Business with any other shop but this one .

I took my SUV in for an alignment, they were completely done in about 1.5 hrs. They were friendly and called me when my vehicle was ready. They have hours that work with my work schedule so I didnt have to stress.

Totally honest!!! Reliable Chevrolet had told me I needed to have my rear brakes replaced, even though they had replaced them 15 months and 10,000 miles ago and Im really easy on the brakes. So I decided to have them replaced somewhere else. I saw all the good reviews about this Brake Master location and decided to have my brakes replaced by them. This morning I brought my vehicle to them, fully prepared to have to pay for a brake job. 15 minutes after I gave them the keys they came out and told me the brakes still had 60% left and there was no need for them to install new brakes! I was totally impressed by their honesty! It is so hard to find an honest mechanic. This location now has my business forever!!!

Do not come here for anything more then a oil change. Not even brakes. I had a car that they replaced the motor twice within 90 days and now the third motor is bad and Mr Hector the regional manager got mad at me when I reached out to corporate about this car and price gouging on my truck when I asked for new front brakes they wanted over 600 dollars when the San Mateo store quoted 400. Without even knowing me or seeing my truck. And now corporate or the owners will call me back. Next stop is better business bureau. Freaking clowns at brake masters. Do not go there if you care about your car and safety because they don’t have a clue how to work on cars.

You have renewed my faith in your company. A few years ago your Albuquerque location left the bolts out of the caliper on my car and we drove home like that. It locked up the wheel in the parking lot of our Apt. This could have happened on the highway and could have killed me and my family. Your company even asked me to remove that review if they fixed it for free. But this time I was treated with respect and the work was done correctly. They also were 100% honest. I went here because my car brakes were squeaking, they checked them and told me that they were brand new. They tech says that he could change my brakes to their brakes and they will not squeak. He said that the brake pads on my car may be cheap and that may be why they are squeaking. I decided to keep my brakes since they are new.

Great service and problem solving skills. I had recently bought a new car which had locks on the wheels. No one could figure out how to get the locks off without breaking them until the wonderfully brilliant technician at brake masters. And! They gave me a key for the wheel locks free of charge! That’s what I call great customer service :)

Great prices on laborer. Bring your own parts. They will try to to install all parts on most vehicles. Did my 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 Turbo Diesel 5.9 power Steering pump for $160.00. Dose not leak anymore.Offered to replace any other part or find a good price on most items.

I went to this location on 2/14/18 to get my car rechecked for a steering wheel alignment they did two weeks prior. Two weeks ago the did a steering wheel alignment and the manager Corey said he would “test drive it” to make sure the steering wheel was straight so he drove it around the store at 3 mph and said it was good. So I came back today and we test drove it again on an actual rose going 45mph and it was way off and they told me it was an issue with the steering wheel that only Mazda could fix. They said they could try to fix it but it would take 2 hours and they would charge me 90$ an hour to fix. I took my car to another brake masters on San Mateo and they gave me a free alignment and fixed the problem in two minutes “FOR FREE!!” All they had to do was readjust the tie rods.. this is not the first time I have had issues with this store. I do not recommend it at all. I have sat in the lobby and watched their representatives try and lie to people saying they need services they don’t. The manager Corey is an A*S HO*LE. He is very unprofessional, he never smiles and it very rude when it comes to “making it right for the guest”... he needs to be retrained on how to deal with customers. Won’t be coming here again. I highly suggest going to the brake masters on San Mateo. Ask for mike. He is awesome and cares for the customers.

Excellent service! Very professional personnel who were very knowledgeable about my car’s problems. The tech explained everything that needed to be done in a detailed manner. Cost of repair was reasonable along with discount for life time warranty for the brake pads. I will go to Brake Master for all my vehicle repair needs.

Cory, James and all the mechanics at this location are just awesome!!! I have been taking my car to brake masters for several years now and they have never let me down. It doesn’t matter what I need done from an oil change to motor mounts to a new radiator, they do it all. I have never had a single complaint with the work they do. Ive had several different vehicles in to have alignments, brakes and other services performed. Each time, the person Ive dealt with has been very professional, courteous and has given me a discount. A few times, Ive had appointments; a few other times, Ive just dropped by and hoped they could fit me in (they always have). These guys are my go-to dudes for alignments and brakes. I only wish they did tires and transmission work :) Ill be back!

This Break Masters has worked to save me so much money, without even having to ask. They have given me good discounts and even upgraded things for me for free. Very friendly staff to work with. I would absolutely recommend them over any other auto shop I have ever worked with. You can tell they care about you as a customer, and are not just trying to get your money. Make sure to call ahead to schedule with them, though, because they do get quite busy, so walk-ins can be hard to get.

Brake Masters at 3616 NM528 is the best auto shop around for me. They fix exactly what is wrong, and dont add un-needed repairs. They are fast, reasonably priced, and do good work. Anytime I take a car somewhere else for repairs, I am sorry I didnt come here. I love this place.

Ive taken all my cars here for about 4 years now. They are always professional and reasonable prices. I get my oil changes done there are its quick and cheaper than Ive ever paid even with a coupon elsewhere. I had a taillight out recently and they replaced it for free! I highly recommend them.

We mostly get oil changes here and theyve always been friendly, funny, prompt, and dedicated. On more than one occasion theyve gone out of their way to get my car taken care of. Its nerve-wracking to take my car into the shop as a woman because mechanics usually assume you know nothing and try to take advantage of you. However, this particular Brake Masters has always been honest, transparent in their work, and treated my mom and I as equally as any of their male customers. As Im writing this, theyre offering to give a customer a ride home. I feel very at ease and comfortable coming to this location and I cant recommend it enough!

I called twice to get a price quote on some repairs. Both times I was told they need to call me back with quote. I never received a call back

Horrible time management. Had an appointment at 1. I got there at 1250. They said it would just be a little bit and my car would be ext. Ok cool. 10 mins goes by then 25 then 40 and my car is still sitting outside. I asked the guy why my car was still outside and he said like I said it would be a little bit we are running behind. 10 mins is a little bit . Closer to an hour is not. Unacceptable thats what an appointment is for. Would not reccomend. I got my keys and left.

Brake Masters at this location on 528 performed a brake fluid flush on my 2000 Camaro. Now my brake pedal feels firm the way its supposed to. Professional team and good pricing with quick turnaround. I do recommend this location.

When I got there, they were a little busy, but I was greeted right away and was in and out with a full service oil change in less than an hour. Great customer service.

I took my car in because my breaks were squeaking and used a $79.99 coupon. I dropped my car off at 11 am and waited all day for a call to see if my car was ready and finally at 5:00 i called them to see if my car was done and the person who answered the phone said the mechanic that worked on my car was out on a test drive so call back in ten minutes because he didn’t know if my car was done or not. So I call back in 10 minutes and they said that my car was ready but i better hurry because they close at 5:30 and they were waiting on me. Luckily I lived close enough to make it in time. So I get my car and they say that my rotors were bad and it was going to cost me $370.00. So I pay it because it’s late and I wanted to just go because it was pretty clear that they were waiting on me to leave so they could go. So I get home and my brakes are smoking like my car was on fire. And or course nobody was available to take my call at 5:45 pm when I noticed. So I call the next day and I talked to someone else to told me to bring the car in ASAP, so I bring it in and a few hours later they call me and say that my parking brake was stuck on. (The mechanic who parked my car had set the parking brake) But the lever was still down but the cable was stuck. They blamed it on a rusty cable. My parking brake was just fine before I brought my car into them. They told me that my car should be good to go now but my parking brake wouldn’t work anymore. I was annoyed but I just wanted my car back so I took it and left. So a few days later when I went to leave I noticed that it was stuck on again. They didn’t say that it would lock my brakes up again, they said it wouldn’t work. At the time of this writing I am waiting for them to open to get my money back. I am having to take off work to deal with this and all I had was squeaky brakes before and now I will have a third day without my car due to incompetence. Please save your money and go to a real mechanic.

I called to see if I needed an appointment for a basic oil change and was told to just bring it in. It seemed to me from how he said it that I would get right in. When I showed up 20 minutes later, the guy said there was a 2 hour wait. I explained that information would have been nice to know when I called. His reply: Well...did you ask? I told him I would go somewhere else and he didnt seem to care. After a few seconds of thought, I went back in to explain that the reason I was going somewhere else was because of his smug attitude. His defensive reply: I dont have a smug attitude. No apologies, just more attitude. Do not patronize this establishment. Instead, visit Chris at the Coors and Quail location. He took care of me right away in a very polite, respectful, and professional manner. Thanks Chris!

I was referred to this location for a stud repair. The man working on my truck, forced open and broke my locked glove box. Store manager informed, didnt believe me. District manager called, came onto site- told me there was nothing he could do about it. Regional manager called, didnt care. My word against the employee, no cameras in the joint to hold workers accountable for their actions. Now im stuck paying for a brand new glove box that THEY broke. So much for integrity. They took zero responsibility, had my truck all day and treated me like garbage. Can you give zero stars? Because they gave me zero customer service. I will never go back or refer someone to this disgraceful business full of liars.
