I think this store goes out of their way to do their best for their customers. Michelle, one of the managers, was absolutely wonderful to work with !!I purchased my first pool there, when my kids were younger and now I just purchased another one. I have to say, they are heads and shoulders above their competition both in quality of service and prices! Thank you, Namco!

So far the only nice thing about this company has been the lady Michelle who helped us when we bought our pool a few weeks ago everything was in stock and that was another reason why we choose that specific pool. We just had to wait for it to ship out, we called the 800 number to try to track it and they said it wasn’t available to track yet but everything was ready, try calling a few days later and now they said the liners back ordered and they have no clue when we will even get our order the people from the 800 number are incredibly rude and any question you ask the answer is “I don’t know” then they will hang up on you and offer you absolutely no help we called back to Michelle at the store we bought the pool from since we got nowhere with costumer service and she’s trying to get someone else to call me back.. this has been a nightmare so far just buy elsewhere.
Called and ordered a pool last month during a time when there is a shortage. Customer service was great on trying to find the best pool for my family. After ordering a pool, the wrong liner was shipped and delivered. I called customer service to address the wrong liner, they contacted the main office and had the correct liner delivered the next week. Customer service was great.
The absolute WORST company I have ever dealt with. Purchased a pool 4/6 and contacted them a week later because I thought it was weird I hadn’t heard anything about our install. Every single person in customer service passed me off to the install coordinator, who ensured me that my installer would be available. She straight up LIED-and called a month or so after purchase (after me bugging them week after week) and said she could refund us because the installer backed out. She offered $100 customer credit for in store. That’s LAUGHABLE. We cancelled completely and bought elsewhere, but I intend on turning them into the better business bureau. Still haven’t received our money back, and it’s been two business days. This company is literally fraudulent. If you’re thinking about purchasing from them.. RUN!!!

I bought my pool from Namco five years ago and have been pleased with the purchase of the pool. I understand there’s a shortage of pools and chemicals and everything else due to the high demand this summer but when I stopped in the store today Michele helped me with every question that I had. The items that I needed were in the store and I walked away a satisfied customer.
I was just in the Albany store to cancel a Namco pool I ordered and to buy a different one. Michelle was fantastic!! She went out of her way to make sure my original pool was cancelled and was extremely helpful in picking out the pool that would best suit our needs. She was very friendly and I never felt rushed. I will definitely be going back thanks to Michelle!

There is no option to give a negative star however as we have all experienced Namco does not honor any contacts or agreement they provide and take no responsibility for their less than acceptable business standards. This company functions with no service standards or integrity. I purchased a pool with the agreement of installation by June 5; I have emails from Namco confirming this. I drained my current pool in preparation for the new pool; Namco had an issue with their 3rd party contractor and they are unable to have my pool installed. They never contacted me to let me know they in fact avoided this situation. I have made hours of phone calls to try to resolve this issue and nothing acceptable has been done. If you too have this issue please contact me I will be posting this on other media sites as well.
Poor customer service. I called to see if they have an item I was looking for and the girl that answers got no customer service knowledge. The girl told me to go to the website and check. I told her Im driving thats why I call because I need it asap. She just awkwardly stay silent . Went to the store and is even worst. Just go to the store 4 mins away from this one. Way better service
Terrible got totally played at the pool place. Ordered the pool weeks and weeks ago and they gave us a time frame of installation. Then we never heard anything else til we contacted them and they tell us they aren’t doing installations in our area. Now don’t you think that would be something they should have told us ahead of time? We would never buy a pool from somewhere if they couldn’t install.Sales professionals were rude to us acting like we should have known and it was our fault. Very unprofessional. Do not recommend them.
Decided to replace out current pool after 15 years. Only place that has not only pools but offers install fast! we have been coming here for years for our pool supplies and Shawn is a breath of fresh air to the location what a gentlemen. Cant wait for our pool to come and be up so we can enjoy our summer! Thanks Shawn!!!

Absolutely fantastic. Michelle was superb. Busy day, and she still offered to help carry packages for customer to her car (I did). Store was neat and clean, last years manager was not so good. Michelle earned my business, very very pleased. 100% satisfied.(2nd post--2 weeks later) again i went to Namco for supplies.Michelle has been excellent with customers. watching her handle requests--should be the way customers are taken care of. she is a model employee!!! this time--more than 120% satisficed.

I stopped by today and walk into the store, no one besides myself and two store personnel were in the store, no one even acknowledged I walked in. So I go to the back-wall looking for a couple of drain plugs. You have to take the part bag off the hook to see whats in each bag. So I ask the bleached blonde young lady if they carried drain plugs and showed her the one I brought with me. Shes like I dont think so.... Complete waste of time stopping at this store based on the lack of customer service. Do yourself a flavor and just drive up Central Ave to Islander Pools, I went in there and was immediately greeted at the parts counter, had the drain plugs I needed in my hand in less then a minute and out of the store in less then 5-mins... NAMCO is a complete joke.
Listen, do not do business there. Find a company that installs the pools and pay the extra money. It will literally be the best decision you make. NAMCO will lie to your face to get your money. Straight wolves in sheep clothing. I bought my pool Feb 2020 pre-covid and it currently is sitting in my shed because NAMCO cant give me the name of the company that makes the pool so I can purchase a part. A resin bottom plate. I call and they pretend not to hear me on the phone and hang up. I then call back and it goes to voicemail. How convenient. The times they can hear me I just get told theyll call me back and that never happens. All I want to do is put my pool up and they are absolutely useless once they have your money. Do yourself a favor and stay away!!!

Previously I gave NAMCO 1 star but after Seans excellent customer service and helpful tactics I am changing it to 4 star, because of him and him alone. Heres the story.....On 03/08/2021 we purchased a pool from NAMCO. After thinking about it we decided we wanted a different pool and Chris said it was no issue to do an exchange. The exchange resulted in a refund of $360 to us. I believe Chris had good intentions when he initially did the exchange but ultimately getting the refund money was a nightmare. Not because of the employees mind you but because of NAMCO customer service, or lack thereof. We had gone to the store multiple times, they contacted customer service, we contacted customer service via phone and email on their site and not a single person ever called us or emailed back. They didnt even bother to contact their employees when they reached out on our behalf. It was very upsetting to be so completely overlooked. Thankfully Sean took the reigns after 3+ months of silence from NAMCO and we got our refund. If you have dealings with the local store you are in good hands, if you need to contact the main customer service people....good luck!

First time coming here was a great experience.The people are so nice and kind.The lady who helped me out was Michel and she is so kind and nice.My grandkids and I got to pick out any pair of googles from the store and even we got to pick out a cute pair of sunglasses as well.This place is the best place to buy pools and also if you are looking to buy pools come here its awesome

Went for stairs 4 sets up nothing n stock, but can’t sell 1of the 4 demos. Go back up for pump a young man helped us with.. again none in stock and couldn’t sell demo. We’re told need to order online and have delivered; may take a week or so. Went to Islander pools. Very helpful, bought their demo.
Drove an hour to get supplies for our pool that was sold out everywhere else. Ran in to an issue that was quickly resolved by one of the sales associates. Definitely know how to do business and make customers want to come back. Thanks again Namco!
I had great service today by a really awesome manager (Im making an assumption). She really knew what she was talking about and was incredibly helpful. I purchased a clearance floor model table and chairs. She helped us remove the legs and fit into my car. I was very impressed with her customer service and cannot wait to use the dining set I purchased today!
Namco is happy to sell you a pool, just dont expect it to be installed. We ordered in May, with Covid the pool didnt arrive until July and now it sits in boxes as the installers Namco contracts with dont show up and dont return phone calls. Two days this week we were scheduled and both days no one showed up. The store doesnt answer their phone and the message recording states that theyll get back to you in five to seven days!
The staff always goes above and beyond when I have questions. however, Lindsay is by far the most helpful, friendly associate there. she always answers all questions, regardless of what they may be. she answers honestly which I appreciate even if it may cost me more money. she knows my name which is very rare these days and always greets me with a smile. its nice to see an employee that truly cares about her customers and Lindsay truly does!

I was there for a jobs interview. Although, I did not have to wait a lot to talk to the manager through the conversation it was more than obvious that there was not job opening. The manager only ask me what kind I do? That was it. After answerong the question, she explained me that the company was cutting the hour. It was very obvious why. The store was dead, and not appealing to my senses. The cashier, although friendly, was sleepy.Not because the business are posting jobs means that there are really a job opening. They only do that to full people. Only to create the illusion that the economy is improving. Thats all.Although, I knew before hands that there was not job there, I have it s try. There is something new to learn .
Purchased a pool from the colonie site. Very helpful to make the sale. Follow up was such a different story. After we signed for the card and made the purchase, we knew it was backorder but they never updated and continue to not give us anything but the customer service number and they dont call back. Its the worse customer service I have experienced.
We bought our Jacuzzi back in July, and even today, continue to have a wonderful experience with Lindsay. We went into this purchase knowing a little bit about hot tubs. We stopped at one of those “spa expo’s” prior to visiting Lindsay, but it was because of Lindsay’s experience, knowledge and professionalism that we made our decision to purchase the Jacuzzi brand at Namco. She never made us feel rushed to make a decision and actually offered us a “wet test” of several models so that we could make an informed decision based on our comfort and preferences. Besides learning all about the Jacuzzi brand and wanting to purchase a Spa that is built with quality and comes with the backing of a well known brand, Lindsay is large part of the reason we chose the brand. She is truly an asset to Namco Pools and quite honestly, to the Jacuzzi brand!! Thank you Lindsay for your wonderful support during our decision process. Horrible just horrible. Ordered a pool over 2 months ago. Was told we would have it in 3-5 days. After 3 weeks I called because we didn’t get it. Come to find out it was out of stock and back ordered. Not one person called to let us know. So we decided to go with another pool and spend another $1000 because it was suppose to be in sooner (shipped to us on 6/7) that day came and went. Come to find out the pool was then was on backorder again no phone call. Well it’s 6/16 no pool no answers no anything. Hoping to have it now by next summer maybe. This is getting ridiculous. Customer service is horrible and never have any answers.
They had everything I needed, because of the Corna Virus they went and got what I needed and brought it the door. They were working very hard to accommodate all the customers. Great job 👍

I deeply regret choosing Namco to purchase our pool. At first, I went with Namco because the woman I spoke with was very willing to help me get everything I would need to get my pool up and running. However, it all went downhill from there. She only gave me 2 options of companies to install. One never answered, and the other put me on the schedule only to cancel 5 days prior to our scheduled date! I called in April to reserve our spot, they did not cancel until June. There is NO ONE available to install our pool and all I got from the store was oh, sorry about that, maybe call the other number we gave you. They also assured me I was getting everything I would need, too bad that doesnt include the NYS mandated pool alarm. TERRIBLE. Go anywhere else!
My mom bought a pool for my birthday and it has ‘t come yet and my birthday party was canceled. I feel bad for her because she calls everyday hoping to find out whens it coming but she never gets an answer.
Everything overpriced. Staff walks away to help other people while working with you. Very rude. Staff was not familiar with items they sell.
Just bought a house with a hot tub. Never owned one and was very confused how it all worked.Stop by last Wednesday to ask some questions.Lindsay was so helpful. She explained so much to me...when and how to uses the chemicals, filter changes, everything. Made the purchases I needed and got a ton of great info.So knowledgeable and helpful, thanks Lindsay !
We bought our 27 round above ground pool 30 years ago and the pool is still going strong. We have never had to replace the liner and have only replaced the pump once. I would recommend their pools to everybody that is looking to buy a pool. I did not realize they were still around. They were in Latham at the time we bought our pool.
I walked into the store on July 12th around 6:30pm and one of the girls working was literally lying on the counter and didnt get up when we walked in. Then on the July 19th I walked in and one girl with long black hair was extremely helpful. The other employee (didnt realize she was an employee until she helped a customer) was sitting in a chair with her feet up. I thought she was a friend of the other girl.Thats just bad for business. I wont be going back there.

Bought a new pool last year. Smooth process. customer service was great, guy I purchased from handled everything and was very professional.
Just bought our first Jacuzzi hot tub. Tom was easy to work with, knowledgeable, great price, and experience. All around highly recommended! We will be back to get some of that nice Patio furniture :)

Decent prices, very poor service. Do not support their products or warranties. 50/50 chance of talking to anyone on the phone who knows anything. Will talk up support and service when selling you the pool or the major item, but when you have an issue, they tell you to call/email corporate or the manufacturer and have no advise to offer. Spent many thousands on a pool only to find out that Namco discontinued support for that pool after only a few years.Okay for buying chemicals, but not much else and STRONGLY SUGGEST NOT TO BUY POOLS FROM THEM.
After having a horrible experience at another local pool store, I went to namco. I was in the market for a pool and the sales associates at namco were so helpful, kind and professional. They advised me on what pool would best fit my needs along with a low maintenance filter package. Since then I have gone to them for all of my accessories and water testing. They always get me everything I need to keep my pool clear and help me with any issues that come up
Not helpful at all. Certainly I have a material defect in the resin rail caps and they werent willing to help at all. Gave me a mypoolwarranty site and said gd luk but, if i wanted to purchase them they could then help me.
Warranty terrible, zero understanding about garbage product, not willing to help at all with rusty pools, reviews generally the same, prices suck too

Forget it!! POOR service, awful credit company (they take 30+ days to post payment and REVOKE the no finance charge) until you threaten to report them, horrible Asahi pool that rusts in a couple of years. When you complain to local store, they state they dont sell Asahi anymore. When you complain to corp (Long Island), they send a condescending letter. No way. Their closing kits cost $100 because you get a box of useless stuff. Used to be a good place for pools and supplies but NEVER AGAIN. Will go to Islander in Ballston Spa or Concord.
When I called lady on the phone was very helpful ..went the next day same lady I talked to took care of everything I needed.
I wish I could give zero stars. These people, this company - TERRIBLE doesnt even begin to describe. Do not stand behind warranties, shrug off dangerous, life threatening problems as though they couldnt care less, and do not believe in customer service. A three year old pool rusted out and collapsed - warrantied for five years - they did NOTHING. Wanted to even even charge to come haul the pieces away. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM - THEY ARE CRIMINALS.

Horror story with our pool that we purchased from Namco (5,000 dollars total) several years back. We had them or their representative vendor install the pool for an additional $1500. Since the first day it was filled it was defective. The vendor said the pool was junk after the braces came up through the bottom putting stress and eventually holes in the liner. Then after two years of constant battles with Namco and several liners and redoing the pool so many times I cant even count they finally sent us a new pool to replace the defective pool only to never come to install it. I have lived with the junk in my garage for two years. All this investment and I still dont have a pool. All I can say is junk junk junk... Stay far away from this company.
Now that Namco is closed in Latham you can go to The Spa Wholesaler in Watervliet for all your hot tub and chemical needs.
