We were lucky enough to find Upstitch when it was having an outdoor sale - it made our young visitor, an avid knitter, extremely happy!

Up-Stitch is such a great local resource. I purchase all of my sewing needs from them. What a great group of kind and helpful volunteers who work hard to make this service available to us.

I have been to Upstitch many times. This nonprofit shop is chock full of donated materials for sewing and knitting. The space is very well organized and the staff is friendly and helpful. I am looking forward to the reopening of Upstitch in the spring.

My first experience with up stitch was a closet sale in February. $10. Gets you a large bag full of yarn, crochet thread and material. What ever you can fit in the bag. Im hopeful to connect and buy weaving fiber when its available. Overall a positive experience. Looking forward to shopping again

Boycotting this resource due to ageist and cruel owner. A true Karen. Will never get another cent from me. She is a false, valueless bully.

Up-Stitch is one of Albany’s hidden gems! If you knit or sew, or aspire to, you need to get to the Up-Stitch space inside the Albany Art Room! Up-Stitch is a thrift store for crafters. They have tons of second hand fabrics, yarn, needles, notions, and supplies that have been neatly curated at great prices. Up-Stitch makes you feel good about adding to your stash!

If you knit, sew, or want to learn how to knit or sew, you must check out UpStitch! I won a sewing basket at the New Scotland Elementary Schools Harvest Fest Raffle, and it was FULL of super cool vintage items, like safety pins, buttons, and fabric scraps (to name a few). I was amazed at what I found in the shop too. Vintage sewing patterns, and lots of pretty yarn at excellent prices. Maggie and Megan are also very helpful, and do workshops too. I highly recommend for all types of crafters.
