The Home Depot for Crafters is always a fun spot to kill hours and spark projects that Ill start and tale forever to complete.

I went online to see if the store had a specific art item in stock.When I go to the Amsterdam location, I always ask for Matt because he is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful!I buy cute anti-pill fabric by the yard to line my guinea pigs cage, and my art supplies. I especially love their great coupons!I just wish they taught sewing classes there, and that they stocked more art supplies.

This store is a true gem within its company. A wonderful employee named Lisa from this store went above and beyond to help me get some fabric transferred and shipped to me (I live in Colorado Springs!). She was kind and curious and celebrated the transfer with me since this fabric was sold out online and most stores in the west!! Thanks Lisa!! Shes your rockstar, Albany Store!!

I always have a great shopping experience at Joann. This particular store is really huge amd there so much more options for fabrics particularly fabrics for upholstery and curtains compared to other Joann stores. The place is not very crowded and there are plenty of options. The employees are also very helpful. When I checked out, the cashier helped me get a great deal with better coupons than I what I had so I saved a bit more. I will definitely come back again!

If you love to sew and do crafts youll love JoAnn fabrics. The Albany store is one of the larger JoAnn fabrics in the area.

This location is handling the restrictions wonderfully! They adopted curbside pickup and made it easy for customers to order and pick up. The employee on door duty every time Ive gone is amazing and always smiling! My only complaint would be the restricted availability of items, which is outside of the employees control.

Craft central. This place contains everything that is craftiness. Employees were helpful and coupons are given. They are slightly pricey but good in stock.

Havent been in JoAnn fabric in a while (because I havent needed fabric) but was pleasantly surprised to find a nice variety of beads that were different then Michaels. I also was surprised that almost everything was on sale!

I went in looking for a particular set of paints that I couldnt find--the clerk offered assistance after noticing I had been there before. He immediately phoned stores in the area to have my paint shipped to the store--that is quality customer service.

Well, I usually only go there when I have a coupon. I also like their Clearance Sections. Maybe too much??? Lately I have been looking for certain items there, and I usually leave empty handed!!!. Either they dont have what I want, or the item isnt on sale. Besides, my craft room os currently my bedroom, and its getting harder and harder to find space for my newest treasures so maybe its just as well that I cant find some things. And for example, I kind of wish that their bullet journaling selection was a bit better.

I was being a bit of a bother over some pillows but theo was so kind and helpful!

I went to Joanns frame dept. but that was not opened yet as product was not being delivered. But I found what worked well for my print because the store had a wide variety of ready made frames from which to choose.

I came to pick up my order and called when I was in the parking lot, as per the email instructions. They hung up on me. I called again to day I think I was mistakenly hung up on and I wasnt able to give them my car color/model so they could bring me the order. The lady who answered rudely said, Who is this?! I gave her my name and she replied, No, you come to the door and she hung up on me again. So I got out of my car and when I came up to the door, an employee yelled (yes, yelled) at me, telling me the store was closed. I told them my name and that I was told to go to the door. They gave me a paper bag with my items and said nothing else. I understand times are hard and frustrating, but a little kindness would go a long way. I will not be doing this again.

This store has everything a crafter could imagine. Their store is a little.too overwhelming if its your first time there. Its very hard to find anything. While i was there i found signs for 60% off but when i got too the register i was told those signs are for the next days sale. I had to complain and the manager gave me the 60% off prices. I hate complaining or seeming like a bad customer. They wrapped all my glassware in paper to make sure it made it home safe.

Lots of great craft supplies and lots of great ideas. Staff isnt very helpful sometimes. Tried to buy sewing machine and had some questions. Staff member that day appeared to be more interested in talking on their cellphone than helping me. After waiting about 10 minutes, he put his hand over receiver and asked if I needed help. I said I had questions and wanted to buy a sewing machine. He responded by saying that every machine had a list of choices and options next to it and that if that didnt answer my questions that he would help. Of course I could have have read them, but I was hoping for some expert advice of which one to buy for a 6 Year old and what supplies I would need to get started. I dont sew and have never used a sewing machine. I still bought one, since that was my intent that day. Today I went there to get some fabric and yarn and I had some coupons along with Coupons from the Joann Fabrics app on my phone. Coupon #1 was expired, my bad. Coupon #2 was a competitors coupon, AC Moore, was told that they wouldnt honor that one since AC Moore is going out of business. But they are still around so shouldnt my coupon have worked? Joanns say they match competitors coupons. They are a competitor until they close. Coupon #3, cashier couldnt get her scanner to work to scan coupon on phone, not my fault, but cashiers response was to maybe try a different phone next time. In the end I was not successful in using any of my coupons, including the coupons I get about every other day on my phone. I like the choice of supplies, the 2 staff members I worked with could have been better.

This place is absolutely horrible. Even if you go in the middle of a weekday, be prepared to to wait in line longer than you shop for. The employees here wander around offering no help and there is always only 1 slow checkout clerk. Maybe if this company didnt require a high school diploma to work here, there would sufficient staff. Young people would be much better than any of the staff currently working here. Do yourself a favor and go to literally any craft store

This store has EVERYTHING you need for sewing and crafts. I needed something which I could not find on my own. One of the staff members took me right to what I needed.I do wish that their button selection was more extensive.I also suggest looking at their vast selection of sewing and crafting magazines.

I could not get 12x12 double sided card stock with a valentine,s theme print. I also could not find an acceptable quilt marking pen in a color suitable for dark backgrounds. Waited quite awhile in the checkout lane. There were two staff there but one was in conversation with a stock person for an extended period. The checker I had was courteous and showed me which coupons that I brought that I could use. For me, it was a typically mediocre visit to Joanne,s.

When we walked in it was very easy to find what we needed, huge fabric and pattern sections and a great selection of crafts for any age and any gender!!

Huge! Absolutely HUGE Store!! I was giddy with flannel fabric choices. They had staff in the store that was able to help too, you didnt have to go search for them!

This is a well stocked store, standard prices and good employees. Exception: Michelle (was cutting in the fabric department). I approached her with a smile but quickly got a snappy What do you need. and continued on with being happy. She ambiguously answered my simple question, and rapidly pointed to a random part of the store and told me broadly where I was to look for the fabric I needed. There were no customers and I wasnt hounding her, but she didnt even take the time to help me. I had many questions and she had all the time, she was just genuinely not helpful and not interested in helping. I asked her about ordering a fabric that they were almost out of and she told me there was no way of knowing when it would come and if I tried to order it I would have to wait 6-8 weeks. So what can I do to get three yards of the white spandex? I dont know. Could have been a bad day, but she just seemed like someone who didnt even realize how rude her demeanor was.On the other hand, literally everybody else in the store was kind, helpful, and quite cheery.

Worst customer service. The younger ( under 30) staff were nice but there is this older Woman who could not be any more Miserable and unhelpful. Ask her how much some Fabric was as there was no price. She literally rolled her eyes, made a Disgusted grunt and grabbed it for me to scan. I was so shocked I just stood there. Then Rudely told me the price and turned her back to me. I felt like saying sorry I made you do your job. She was so miserable I did not wanna deal with her again so when I had a question about a price I stood in line and asked one of the younger girls at a register who were very nice. What should’ve been a quick trip in and out took three times as long.

So this Joann is very typical for a chain: good variety of craft supplies, great deals on various fabrics, the floor plan is the same as every other Joann store. However! The sales people are incredibly helpful! Especially a gentleman named Aaron.Im a little bit forgetful but these folks have saved me so much trouble, even over things they didnt have to. Once I bought modeling clay that turned out to be completely dry. (Apparently that stuff should be squishy in the packaging, definitely my mistake). But they let me return it (opened) and get a new package for free!Then on Black Friday weekend there was a crazy rush and somehow part of my purchase didnt get into my bag. I got home and halfway through my crafting when I realized the mistake! They let me come back the next day and pick out the missing items on my receipt, once more without any hassle over price or anything. A+ customer service.

The store has a good lay out. It is nicely spread out and does not feel cluttered. There are some good sales found here, but the general prices are moderately high for and decor. Dont forget to make use of your JoAnn fabric coupons and search for sale finds.

This store is stocked decently if you are looking for Yarn, paper, fabric, or sewing notions. The rest of the stock is hit or miss. The employees are friendly. I gave 3 stars due to the consistent lack of front end cash register staffing. If I am in any sort of rush, i will not go here and use somewhere else. A lot of times even when Im NOT in a rush, I will go somewhere else since its not worth the hassle! Since no matter what it takes sooooooooooo long to check out! 10 people in line.....1 cashier. 20 people in line....maybe 2 cashiers......but usually still just 1 cashier! So shopper beware, it will take forever to check out at this location!

Theres nothing like a trip to Joanns, its my first stop for just about any crafting need. The cutting counter staff seems to be the best of the bunch, theyve helped me more than once to find the fabric or notion I needed, or sub one type of fabric for another. The selection is phenomenal, and they let you use competitor coupons. Ive saved a ton this way. Between social sales and every day value, its my favorite craft store of the major chains. The super center in Colonie is one stop crafting Nirvana.

Not usually someone who leaves bad reviews, ever, and especially not in these times, but I am beyond annoyed.April 23rd, I place an order for pickup. I get an email that same day, and walk up to the door about half an hour before they close. My order isnt there. Okay, not a big deal. Mixups happen. Ill come back later.April 29th, Ive finished a six day workweek, and my workdays end well after Joanns closes, so I cant come get it. My order is cancelled. Mildly frustrating, but I understand. Im not too upset about it. I get an email saying any authorizations on my account will be cancelled and my money will be refunded --- okay, cool, Ill just place my order again when my money is back.It is now May 19th. It has been three weeks. I do not have my money back, nor any further updates from Joanns, even after several emails. I will be going to my bank to dispute the charge, and will not be placing any further orders.

I love JoAnns because of the coupons you get. It makes you forget how EXPENSIVE this store really is! This is the first time that I only had 1 coupon and it was 50% off of 1 regular priced item and I ended up having to put some things back. This store lacks variety, especially in the yarn & crochet hooks department. The prices should be cheaper or get more products. Also the bathroom is disgusting! I dont understand how it is 9:30 am (the store opens at 9:00 am) and the bathroom is filthy! I expected better... But this is what happens when you have no real competition because Michaels is just as expensive, if not more. NYC.... Please expand to Albany!!!

Joanns is hands down my favorite craft store! It is always so clean and well organized and there are always great sales going on...and if what u came for isnt on sale u can always download their app for awesome coupons!!! Super friendly sales associates as well that are always willing to help!!! I could spend HOURS wandering this place!

Huge fabric selection and there are always sales. If something isnt on sale there is usually a coupon in the app that can be used. If you get lucky you can combine sales and coupons. Staff is generally very helpful. If you go on a weekend it can get quite busy at the cutting counter. So plan accordingly.

Largest and best Joann’s in the area. Staff are always helpful and checking out is quick.
