I started going to New York Optical after moving to the area a few years ago. My experience there has always been very positive. The doctor and opticians are friendly and knowledgeable. The staff will also let you know what frames are available through your insurance plan and how much you can apply toward contact lenses.

Exceptional service, great selection of eyeglasses, and knowledgeable staff. They went above and beyond during my appointment. I also loved that they addressed every customer who walked in by name- they obviously value and care about their customers and treat you like family! Will be a forever customer! I have been their customer since the store opened. As opposed to a chain store, much attention is given to given to each customer. The optometrists who work there have consistently being great ! Very helpful and accommodating staff who do everything to make you feel welcome!

The staff here was super friendly and helpful. Dr. O’Connell was also very insightful and made sure I understood what she was telling me. I felt as though she was caring for my eye health on a personal level. There was also very minimal wait time for my appointment. Looking forward to coming back.

The lady eye doctor was Phenomenal

Had a not so great experience so far.... which is too bad because the previous place (Pearle vision) was great to work with. The person I met with today indicated theyd order new frames to correct the issue. If they do, Id upgrade my eval, but right now - pretty frustrated in all.

Very friendly office! Doctor is nice and thorough, she explained everything she was doing but still didnt waste any time. The opticians and other staff were helpful and accommodating. Just wish there were more frame selection! The lower cost frames were either child size or cheap-o plastic.

First thing I look at an optical shop to see if they would assist you since you can barely see without your glasses. I didnt get any help. Optical exam was not impressive and equipment looked dated. They didnt know my insurance allowed me to have a second pair of glasses for work. Didnt like selection of frames.

The staff are very nice and take their time to help you. I was impressed.

Dr. Dobrodziej is very knowledgeable and is always willing to educate your about your health in regards to your eyes. I agree with the most recent post. My wife recently went there for what I thought was an eye problem. The small Indian lady with bad attitude has misdiagnosed her. She suffered for another week or so until we decided to goto another hospital to get her strap throat fixed.(the infection spread to her eyes) On top of making my wife suffer, she has also wasted our time and money. And for that reason Im giving this place a 1 star.

Vastly more competent than Visionworks - where I went the last 8 years starting during Empire Vision days in Clifton Park and then Glenville. So glad that I read reviews before coming for my annual eye exam this time. They know what they are doing and the atmosphere and frame selection is vastly better than Visionworks here or where I went when I lived in Chicago and Houston before moving here.

Very unhappy, with Tom, one of the assistants. I thought he was vwry rude and unprofessional. My eye exam was great, but Tom ruined my experience. I would not recommend going there.
