Excellent customer service family business
My last name is Powell and I used D&D cabinets for my new house built in Ellaville. They were an absolute dream to work with and all of my cabinets are beautiful & the highest of quality. Whitney and Paul were so patient working with me as I changed my mind several times & delivery went without a problem. I was very impressed with their design program as well & how easy it was to visualize my new kitchen and bathrooms. I highly recommend them if you want a high quality cabinet company with great customer service.
Very friendly and helpful
D&D installed a new kitchen on our home. Cabinets are of great quality, can’t say anything bad about them. However… Adjoining cabinets (½” sidewall each) were screwed together with 2” screws that would stick out 1” into one of the cabinets. The “fix” for that was to just cut them off, leaving a razor sharp stub sticking out of the sidewall. Some minor installation scuffmarks were repaired but remained dull throughout the 5 year we owned the kitchen. The kitchen has 2 L-shaped dark countertops, with an island between them. On one of the seams they used a black sealant which was not visible. On the other side they used a white sealant, which showed as if a thin line of white paint had been dropped on the countertop. The Formica counter top at the sink was cut wrong, and the seam was uneven. As a result, the countertops had to be removed again and re-installed. After that, it was still uneven, and the strip in front of the sink was loose and fell off 2 days later. Now the countertops had to be taken off AGAIN. This time the seam was so uneven there was a ¼” height difference between the two parts. The owner came out, acknowledged it was a shotty job, and explained that his prime installed was out for medical and wouldn’t be back for another 3 months. The countertops were removed AGAIN, but this time they also did significant damage to the wall above the countertop, which they refused to repair. This time the seam was still not good, but it was the best they had done so far, and the owner told me that was the best they could do.Over the course of 5 years, water seeped into the uneven spot which caused the countertop starting to swell. As my job was now relocating me, I had to get this fixed. The owner came out again, and again acknowledged this was a bad installation, and said he would work with me.He then quoted me to replace the countertop (L-shaped 8’ and 6’) at a cost of $2,200 and required full payment up front. They make nice cabinets, but they don’t know how to install them, and they do not stand behind their work.
