To be honest I was really sad when I could not find 2 wire receptacles, but here I found them.
Ordered an item that was in stock, they cancelled my order(likely due to the fact it was an order pick up at 8:30 pm and a very large box) but charged me immediately. They will not hold the item for me(until I get refunded) and insist my only option is to by another while waiting for my refund. Not to mention I went into the store and within 5 minutes found the item that I wanted(5 of them total in stock) Their reason for canceling the order was noted as “Cannot find item, item out of stock”Customer service was horrible, manager (Mike) would not even come out to the floor to discuss the matter with me/possible resolution.

Great shopping at the Washington Ave Home Depot. Found everything I was looking to purchase. Great customer service. An employee getting carts helped my husband put the soil he purchased in the back of his truck.
Purchased 5 gal roof alum coating with curb side pick up. Did not specifically as for it to be shaken as assumed is automatically done. Wrong. Took forever to mix at the of use. Be sure to insist is shaken when picked up.
The sales of associates running around the store could not help us find any of the items on our list.They just told us to go online and order the stuff.Very disappointing.We also had a question about vinyl flooring that we had bought several years ago that had a 15-year warranty and were told we had to contact the manufacturer.That didnt do as much good.Very disappointing.

Typical Home Depot. Tons of stuff. I love the tools and theres always a great selection of those. Sometimes hard to find help. But also have been lucky at times and had great help.
I recently purchased a large mechanic tool box from Home Depot on 7/14. First I was offered the floor display at no discount that looked like it got hit by a truck with several scratches and dents. Then I requested a new one in the box the employee made it sound like it was going to be a big hassle. It took almost an hour for them to track someone down that can drive the fork lift. Then they attempted to drive it out the main door and crashed the fork lift into the top of the door frame. They refused to use the fork lift to load the box on the truck and it had to be manually loaded. This was done in the rain do to the lack of covered loading area. I then got home only to find out the new in the box tool box was also damaged. I attempted to call the next day to speak to a manager, however customer service dropped the call twice and sent me to random departments where nobody answered.
We had the most AWFUL experience today with an employee who was very rude and condescending to us when we asked a question. What an absolute shame.
Always a decent place been coming here many years never an issue..

The store itself was fine but my friend and I were followed in by a guy. He followed us around the store and we had to have a manager walk us our because it was obvious either he was gonna try to do something or he was communicating with people outside who were gonna do something. Posting here because hopefully people actually read reviews like this and can be cautious.

A very nice store that has any home-work related supplies. The store is massive and has plenty of everything you need, all very organized too although sometimes I wish I was lost in the store because its almost a museum to walk through.
Rich in the Tool Rental department was very helpful in explaining how to use the equipment. Great customer service !

I used the curbside pick up option, followed all the prompts to let them know I was there. Waited for 20 mins in the parking spot and nobody came out. Only after I contacted customer service to cancel the order did they call my phone.
My most favorite place to shop for plumbing supplies. All there pipes & fitting are in 1 aile. Pex, copper, black iron.
They have extremely knowledgeable staff at this location, who are willing to answer any questions and make sure you have everything necessary for your projects.
Amazing contrast to other big day stores... 3 staff members stopped and asked if I needed help.

Places clean and tidy, staff was very helpful in finding the item I needed.
Spent nearly 20 minutes on the phone, and the manager made her employees run back and forth with messages from her. The employees were apparently so scared, they wouldnt even share the managers name. Have been waiting over two weeks to have an install job completed, which was started and abandoned due to poor planning and communication from the store. When I called, was told the single employee who could help me was on break, so I asked for a supervisor; spent a bunch more time on hold, then the poor employee had to come to the phone to let me know the manager reviewed the notes and couldnt do anything to help. Whoever this manager is, she completely pushed this off onto employees, and still there is no answer when the install will be complete. Even if the manager couldnt help, she should still have taken a call from an unhappy, confused customer; not make her employees say there is nothing they can do to assist. I have tons more carpeting coming up for AirBnBs; and now Im going to bid it out. Completely disjointed effort and finger pointing between the measurers, installers, and the store. Absolutely nobody takes respondibility for the job, and the MANAGER wont even come to the phone.

I was at the Washington avenue extension to purchase 2 items. I was directed to the exact location of each of the items. I was pleased to finish my work at home quickly.
Went to their paint department and received terrible service. The lady in the department was overwhelmed so she called for help. An elderly male employee shows up 10 minutes later and says to her You should have called me if you needed help. She says I did. I knew I was in trouble then. He helps me pick out a paint and then shakes it. This is where it gets good. He then starts servicing other people and forgets all about me. Even though Im right in front of him. A third person comes to help because there are now 9 people waiting for help. I finally speak up because the clueless guy who first tried to help me forgot all about me. Next time I will pay the extra $5.00 and travel further and go to Loews.

Terrible customer service! Brian an associate clearly and deliberately avoided helping me as I watched him ask someone else if they needed help after leaving me and helped customer after ignoring me. A Fred, cashier not helpful or knowledgeable. I felt discriminated against
I went to the store with a damaged power drill and an attempt to either get it repaired or replaced. 45 minutes after my arrival manager proceeds to explain to me that it needs to be sent to a service center and I need to contact a particular website. Why someone couldnt tell me that when I walked in the door with the tool in my hand is beyond me. Then I proceeded to go to the tool shed to purchase another drill while they repair mine and they were out of stock on both of the models that I was interested in. An hour of my life that I will never get back.
Worst day to go there on a Saturday no one to answer a question, just terrible, asked someone they never came back have to go out farther to get better service

CURBSIDE DELIVERY is a sham; dont waste your time! Either go inside and risk your health, or go to another home improvement chain that cares about their curbside pickup customers.Waited 25 minutes at store #1241 (Albany NY) with NO OTHER cars waiting for pickup at curbside. Sent message twice into store that I was there for pickup. Finally had to walk into store and was told that the associate manning curbside was busy, and I needed to go back and wait in my car for him. When associate did finally arrive, he told me that the text messages they get for curbside pickup are very slow, and that they dont check on them very often. No kidding. Will never use curbside delivery at Home Depot again!

I always referred to Home Depot as my husbands toy store! He spent hours cruising the aisles, enraptured with all the power tools, hardware, and home improvement goodies! If you are in the store for a particular item, it is gratifying that there is a greeter to help direct your path! Employees are usually familiar with their assigned work areas, and have proven very helpful, however, it is not always easy to locate an employee when needed! The store is well stocked and in most cases prices are comparable with other retailers.
No one was around to help. I ask 3 different people where the item I was looking for was and finally the 3rd person actually brought me to the correct isle & the item was out of stock. Wasted over 1/2 hour
The only reason why I gave 2 stars was because the front end supervisor asked me if I was being helped after standing in front of customer service for almost 10 minutes.I ordered a rather large tool Box online for in store pick up. It took the associate 10 minutes to find it (at the other end of the store). After pushing it up to customer service desk, no help was offered for loading it into the back of my vehicle (it weighs150 pounds!)You just cant find good help anymore, very sad.

Going into the store itself is wonderful. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. Lets talk delivery though. I paid for a samsung range almost 3 weeks ago. They gave me 2 weeks to wait to begin with because they didnt have it in store, and needed to deliver it. I understand the date of delivery there was a storm. Now they pushed the delivery date by 5 more days?!?! Over one day of snow?! Never again. I wont even pay for sandpaper here again, honestly. I have a truck, but they claim it hasnt even made it to the store yet. So i also cant pick it up?!
Masks? What a joke. Not even in the store and there is a maskless employee talking to two others within a few feet. In the store immediately see two employees with masks not over their noses. A few days prior I saw a customer service employee with no mask. All it would take is the manager to get off their butt and take a walk around the store and can a couple of maskless staff.
They have what you need. Convenient location pretty quick in and out. Associates are helpful if you can find one.

Nicest employees ever. The gentleman who cut my blind that I needed to have exchanged from another location (it was very diagonal and not the size I needed for a blackout shade) did a wonderful job. Wonderful job at measuring. Wish I knew his name because I am so grateful to have a blind that blocks out the light considering my bedroom faces east, it is important lol. Did not have to wait long at all either, quick and easy. I’ll probably drive to this one over the closer one given the helpfulness and speed.

Just fine. No one wanted to help. But we managed to help ourselves. Only 1 person asked if needed help. Other workers walked away. Even though we didnt buy anything we did have questions. We are going to buy a house soon and were looking at some major appliances and other things around the house that we would like to purchase. I wish that the Home Depot was more customer centric and less hope you can fine your way.
I would like the manager to check the cameras on Thursday December 19th at 5:30 on the button. I walked up to the self-checkout, attempting to purchase a bungee cord and a can of spray paint. Within no more than 2 ft away from the self-checkout computer, they were two associates engaged in conversation. I scanned my first item, the spray paint. The computer quickly prompts out loud a customer needs assistance at self-checkout. The two associates continue their conversation. The computer repeats the request about 20 times before I give up put the item down and walk out of the store. I am currently on my way to Lowes to purchase the exact same items.Im still in disbelief of how long I was ignored.
The guy in Tool Rental was super helpful. All employees really friendly and knowledgeable. It was late so no one in plumbing to help me although usually someone in another department knows something about one or two other departments

Needed a lawn mower that starts. The Honda is great, but employee damaged my vehicle loading it into the trunk of my small compact. Filed an accident report, but Home Depot did nothing about it. They refused to call me back on the matter. Granted, it was deep scratches on the bumper, but it was still their fault. As a result, Home Depot will no longer be getting any of my business ever again, which could have potentially been thousands of dollars in home improvements. Nice going....

This isnt location specific. Just fair warning about home delivery of appliances.I went in store and ordered a new clothes washing machine. It arrived no problem the day i scheduled delivery. The two delivery people brought it in my house no problem. Then they informed me since they were not installing it they couldnt even take it out of the box.I would have gladly paid an extra fee or done whatever I had to do that they would take it out of the box and at least put it in place.So now I spent another hour of my time getting the thing out of the box by myself, i have to dispose of all the packaging (theres a lot of it) and i had to get it in place. If Id known i would have just picked it up from the store myself a week earlier. The whole point of having them deliver is was so they would at least take it out of the box.Ive ordered appliances from Lowes and never had an issue with this. We will be due for a dryer, stove, and dishwasher in the next 6 months and I most certainly wont bother with the inconvenient disaster that is Home Depot home delivery.I called the delivery hot line and they said that all sounded normal. Which is confusing because it says right on the website they take it out of the box and get rid of the packaging. I then called the store I purchased it from (the one Im posting this review of) and i talked to a manager who seemed surprised and was very friendly but never called me back.
Super service
I like the variety of goods they sell. Associates are friendly and very knowledgeable about the products. What I dont like is the fact they dont give military discounts every day using just your license with your veteran enhancement on it. That is only good on 3 holidays. Otherwise you have to be retired, disabled or active military ( and their dependents)
Everyone here is eager to help you find what you are looking for and the aisles are not cluttered so if you have a cart its easy to get around

I dont think that Ive ever gone to this store and not found an employee available to help me. It doesnt matter what day of the week or if its a holiday, there are always plenty of people there to help. The store also has an excellent stock of all the things have ever wanted to buy in the last several years including, but not limited to: shovels, grub killer, grass seed, lawn fertilizer, sub pumps, paint and paint supplies, planking, plywood, plastic lattice, wood lattice, drills, weed whacker & supplies, jigsaws & blades, circular saws & blades, hardware, garden hoses and nozzles...You name it, this store has it. In fact, in four years, I think there was only one time that I had to go to a competitor to find something they didnt have - and that was an odd-sized small window for a remodeling project.
I wanted to buy a shed. I had an area pre-cleared and ready to receive. All they had to do was call me back to set up a delivery and installation schedule. Neither the store nor the installer listed on their brochure returned any of my calls. Amazing display of disinterest. I shall look elsewhere.
Hard to get help because every front staff member is on their phone.. The new young manager has to go. Its like a teen center in there .. The guy is clueless of what is going on...Walter the manager in Tool rental, Knows customer service...*****
Always seems well staffed, and well stocked. 4/5 because some of the employees dont always know whats going on, but the majority is really good.
