Whether designing a kitchen from scratch or remodeling an existing kitchen, Emily L. is the woman for the job. Her product knowledge and design skills are exceptional.

Was given a quote to simply replace old kitchen countertops with LAMINATE not granite or quartz, and also wanted simple subway tile backsplash.. was quoted $5400.. After paying $162 for a measurement, to get a quote like that feels like 10 people slapping me in the face. This place is a joke. Seems proffesional when you walk in.. then they pull numbers from out of outer space for quotes. If thats the going rate to install laminate countertops, i should quit my job right now and open my own kitchen store. The following 2 pictures represent everything i wanted to do in my condo. I plan on selling it next year. I just wanted the countertops replaced and the backsplash with the subway tile. I plan on painting the cabinets and replacing the hardware afterwards. $5400 quote for countertop replacement and backsplash.. you be the judge.............................

The twenty something woman at the front reception desk seemed to have zero interest in helping us. I asked for a quote on a piece they had and was told “that’s a luxury piece”. Ok. And so? She seemed to be implying we couldn’t afford it . When I insisted she said she would need the dimensions. I said the piece was right there, why not measure it. She measured it and said she would try to get a quote. We walked around the store and even though we saw 2 other employees there, no one greeted us or offered to help us. Finally the owners niece ( or whoever she was) said she couldn’t give us a quote, but if we came back with the dimensions she might be able to give us some kind of quote. I said we gave you the dimensions. I was so frustrated by the disrespectful and unprofessional treatment I just said “whatever” and left the store. These people are not interested in new business, even though we just bought our 3rd house just down the street from them. Don’t waste your time here. There are many bath and kitchen stores who actually want new business.

Our experience with Kitchen and Bath World was excellent; we are completely satisfied. We had two full bathrooms completely re-done as well as new kitchen counter tops and laminate flooring installed. Emily LaRose, the designer, is the consummate professional designer. She has a firm grasp of design concepts and gave us functional and beautiful designs. She is a skillful communicator, equally strong at explaining choices and listening to and addressing our concerns or preferences. Emily kept the projects on track and made herself available for our questions. Our initial choice for laminate flooring for the kitchen was discontinued by the manufacturer. Emily immediately contacted us, and we met. She presented other recommended choices that would work with our counter top choice and existing cabinetry. We ended up with beautiful flooring and an on-schedule installation. Emily visited our home throughout the projects and always answered our phone calls and emails promptly. She was extremely helpful and easy to work with throughout the entire process.Further, all the other Kitchen and Bath World staff we met were very helpful, and we felt completely comfortable having them in our home. Greg, the lead installer, has an outstanding work ethic and outstanding construction / remodeling skills. Greg did meticulous work, and our home was always left in pristine condition at the end of the day.We will be recommending Kitchen and Bath World to our family and friends!

Emily Sarah Ed and Mike were unbelievably awesome. There was a glitch in the ordering of materials. I have never seen a company take the time and the effort to make sure the problem was rectified immediately, without any hesitation. I would totally recommend them to anyone who is considering a remodel of bath or kitchen. Their product is superior to a lot of places that I looked at. Thanks again for everything

We remodeled our Kitchen last summer, when we met with Sara to discuss what we wanted and needed for our kitchen it was clear right away that she knew what I wanted before I even did! Her design and subsequent remodel was all I ever dreamed of and more! Sara was able to stay at the price point we needed and give me my dream kitchen. We have an older home and this kitchen has literally given the heart of our home new life. The time line Sara originally gave us was stuck to exactly, she worked diligently to make sure all deadlines were met while simultaneously making sure the high quality and craftsmanship stayed above par. I can not recommend Kitchen and Bath world enough! We will definitely be using them and Sara again when we renovate our Master Bath!!

Kitchen and Bath World is an excellent place both to get ideas for your renovation project and to purchase quality materials. The staff is friendly, professional and knowledgeable about all phases of bathroom and kitchen renovation. My wife and I particularly enjoyed working with Iliana Schoenbaum. She was very helpful to us as we renovated our 2 1/2 baths.

We visited Kitchen & Bath World of Albany, NY in May of 2017 as we were planning to remodel our kitchen. We met designer Emily LaRose and she was professional and welcoming. After meeting with Emily we decided to have her come to our home to take measurements and provide a design. Emily visited our home and again was very personable and professional. We visited the design center one more time to review Emilys design. The renderings were detailed and professional. We decided layout was to our liking and we would go forward with the design. As we had also planned on installing hardwood flooring prior to the kitchen remodel we asked Emily to include flooring in the design quote. When the quote was complete we met with Emily again to go over the numbers. At our next meeting we reviewed the quote and the portion for the flooring was quoted at almost $25,000.00. We were very shocked as I knew that price was far above what approximately 1000SF of moderately priced oak flooring would cost installed. We declined that offer and contracted with another local company that installed the floor for less than half that price. I will add the floor is beautiful and properly installed without a space or squeak even in this dry month of February. Youll see why I mention that shortly. At this point we should have said no to the entire project, thanked Emily for her time and left. Needless to say we contracted to have them install our new kitchen, agreed on a start window and paid a deposit. Before proceeding Ill state now that we love the design and everyone who has seen it likes it as well. Also in order to meet our budget we would handle the demo of the existing kitchen, electrical and plumbing preparations. For Kitchen and Bath World this would be an easy remodel in place project. We were given a start window between August 14 and September 4, 2017. August 14 came and went without a call from KBW. I waited a few days then called them. Of course I was given the spiel about we gave you a start date range. What I didn’t expect was the condescending tone and the feeling that I was being a bother. The relationship did not improve from there. During the installation of the cabinets I noticed quite a few of the miter joints on the doors had gaps. When I pointed this out they said it was because wood is a natural product. After some discussion they agreed to replace the doors. When I noticed another door warped the same discussion took place and I needed to insist it be replaced.I will also note in the very beginning our design consultant said she would come visit and check on how things were going. Once we paid our deposit we never saw her again. I had an occasion to contact them again in January of 2018. I emailed the design consultant with a picture of the crown molding installed at the top of the cabinets separating and drooping in one corner. As was typical I did not hear back and needed to call. They are trying to tell me it has seperated due to the dry weather. Remember my comment about the hardwood floor? The floor was installed in August during one of the most humid times year. Presently the floor has no squeaks or gaps due to the dry February weather. This is not a gap due to dryness. It is due to poor workmanship. They told me if they come now to fix it and it separates again they will charge me for another visit. She told me call back in May. I fixed it myself. A couple of pin nails is all it took.In my experience Kitchen and Bath World does not care about it’s customers. Once they have your money they’ll do everything possible to finish the job without concern of customer satisfaction. It’s really too bad as I would have recommended them to two friends as well as considered them for our master bath remodel.
