They helped me out so many times. Yesterday I dropped my car off there expecting to wait until Friday just to see it again and they called me up tonight said, hey, come and get it! Amazing. Highly recommend.

I stopped in to make a appointment for a issue the lady at the front desk was very nice and supportive and was very helpful with sum info she gave me about the car. (Unfortunately I missed my appointment which I want to apologize for that) but I would definitely recommend this place you can see they care about their customers.

I went in for an inspection and the service was very quick and painless. I enjoyed a conversation with the owner and front desk attendant and they had a spot to take candy and coffee. Will definitely come here for any auto issues I have in the future!

Steve is a great mechanic. It’s a very small shop, but they do a lot of things done here. I was initially recommended by my boyfriend to take my car to Steve, and I’m blown away by his service. Very friendly, quick turnaround, and doesn’t overcharge like many other mechanics do. We normally work on our own cars so we rarely take our cars to a mechanic, but when we do, we confidently take our cars to Steve.

Not my usual shop but I took it here after being recommended for reasonable prices. I was purchasing a used vehicle and was recomended some front end parts, alignment, and belts. I was told it could be picked up the following day.5 days after I should have picked it up it was finally brought into the shop and I was again told to wait so they could order parts which I was told they were doing the week before after having inspected it. I called every couple of days for an update and it was always someone different on the phone who had a different story on the progress and estimated completion time.7 days after drop off I hand them over $1000 and pick it up. It pulled to the left and had belt squeal. Neither of these issues were present prior.I immediately dropped it off at my usual shop and within a day it was corrected and a few other issues were found by their techs that was overlooked at Wallaces.Save your money and the headache and take it to a proper tech.

Wallace Auto Care is definitely a place to take your car to! I was a student at the University at Albany and like many of the students, I am not from the area. I was having car trouble and I’ve had the worst luck with other local mechanics. A friend who lives in the area recommended me this shop and I’m so happy he did! Everyone is very helpful and understanding. I do highly recommend to call ahead for your basic maintenance work. But overall I will continue to recommend Wallace Auto Care to the UAlbany community!

Steves a straightforward guy, let us know what was wrong that needed immediate care, and what sort of time frame wed need to do certain future repairs and maintenance before it became an actual problem for us. No bs additional fees or hidden costs, and Steve himself is just a genuinely good guy. Couldnt ask for more in a mechanic!

Had to try to resolve a check engine light issue with my Nissan Sentra were extremely friendly and courteous throughout the entire process even though it took a while it was not their fault. Even took it to a Nissan dealership to diagnose the problem on the third visit. Changed my oil without hesitation to make it even better. I recommended them to my hotel guest that had car issues. I will continue to recommend them as the place to go in Albany for auto repair.

We wanted to give a new local garage our business. Last year they replaced the front brake pads on my daughter’s car. Today we learned from our regular mechanic that we need new pads, rotors, and calipers because the calipers were seized. We cannot prove that the service that Wallace provided caused this damage but I can say that this has never happened before with any of our brake repairs on any of our cars.

The owner, Steve, is very nice, work is done well and reliably.
