Before I post, I like to think it over. 10/10 for Crabtree. They gave me excellent service. Honest about prices. Asked permission before working on a problem and gave photos of other upcoming issues like uneven tire ware. They also kept my children entertained while waiting for an oil change. They certainly have my business and I will always go back. Plus they have an awesome air freshener ;)

I had a great experience at Crabtree Automotive! Everyone was very friendly and professional! I made an appointment for an oil change, but they checked so many other things on my car for FREE! They have a shuttle van which they used to take my son and I back home and picked us back up so we did not have to wait there. We had a great experience!

My experience at Crabtree Automotive was great! They were very professional, and took very good care of my truck. The final bill was less than the estimate, and the repairs were completed on time.

They have been in business for forty years, but have kept up to date with technology and amenities. They offer shuttle services, loaner cars, an online maintenance report with pictures, and top notch customer service. Their pricing appears to be fair, even with the added overhead they surely have with their amenities.

I lost my mechanic and needed a new one. Called Crabtree to see if they work on older cars and they do. Good prices and well explained services needed.

They could have sold me a part for my car I didnt need but their evaluation told me that all was working well after doing some tests on my car. I had a good experience with Crabtree Automotive. I had my 2018 Ford F150 in for an issue with the front left wheel hub. I appreciated that Crabtree worked with me until the issue was resolved and I felt that they took good care of me and charged a fair price. They even went through extra effort to get my truck finished up and back to me when the parts for the repair came in late in the day. Also, when a set of my keys was left behind at the shop, their shuttle service brought them out and delivered them to my house the next day.Crabtree Automotive is not a place for bargain hunters, but they are knowledgeable, professional, hardworking and customer focused.

They say their technicians but yet they dont want to work on a vehicle that work had already begun and they say that bolts are everywhere and they say that they tried calling when they didnt even try they might as well have jobs flipping burgers they said they wont put their technicians thru that but that is part of what their supposed technicians went to school for i suggest if you need your vehicle fixed either do it yourself or take it somewhere else cuz they are lazy and dont want to do what they went to school for

Brought my 91 miata in on May 17th for a fuel injector issue. A couple weeks later they call me to say it’s ready to drive yet it needs more diagnostics done. They charged me hundreds of dollars and it still ran nearly the same as when I dropped it off originally. They gave me a couple recommendations on what to replace, so I replaced them. Nothing changed so I call again to bring it back on June 7th. On July 13th I see my car sitting in their parking lot while they’re open so I go in and ask why they aren’t working on it. They come up with some bs excuses but tell me it’s running better and they’re finally able to drive it without stalling out. So I take it for a drive.. and of course it stalls out at every stop light. At that point I ask for my keys back and got it towed elsewhere. I am highly disappointed in such a “reputable” shop and will never be taking my car there again.

They were very nice very helpful welcoming offered to drop me off at home and pick me up to bring me there to get my vehicle back I really appreciated that and just all around kind and not overcharging which is really great I was worried that it was going to end up being a really costly service but it wasnt was actually extremely affordable and I definitely will be going back to them for my future vehicular repair needs

Crabtree Automotive is the only place I will take my car. They are professional, friendly, and accommodating. They are always able to get my car in very quickly, no matter the work required. The pricing is amazing for the quality of work and customer service they provide. Ive used Crabtree for oil changes, tires, electrical repairs, and anything in between, and I have nothing but good things to say about them. I will only use Crabtree for my car!

They refused to use the transmission that Could be delivered directly to them that I purchased from a supplier that they use. I never would even have the part in my possession. They refuse to do this because they can no longer mark up the part! I am with out words on how I feel about businesses that try to gouge financially like this. Where else in the bill will they price gouge me? They may do great work but I’m not willing to find out.

I got an estimate from Crabtree Automotive and agreed to have the work done. I also asked them to change the thermostat while they had my truck. The original estimate was $544.00 and they ended up charging me $913.00. I called and they explained the charges but things still dont add up and any additional charges should have been authorized before completing the work. Im not upset I just think a person ought to know exactly what theyre paying for before any work is completed. Surprise charges due to incorrectly estimating the cost and for what they call consumables (grease rags etc.) should not be a surprise add on.If you go to them for service make sure you get an accurate estimate and dont pay for something you didnt authorize...

Dropped my truck off for some small repairs. I had seen all of the work they do on OBS trucks all over Instagram and Facebook. I asked for a quote on the mirror conversions along with getting the repairs done. After 4 days they called me saying my truck was ready to be picked up. No work was done in the 4 days that I had no vehicle. Very upsetting for a company with so many positive reviews.

They took great care of my 1997 Wrangler and addressed misfiring issues and some suspension problems. I recently had to get my clutch, throw out bearing, and my flywheel resurfaced on my 2016 Subaru WRX - it was not even drivable. They made an appointment a few days from when I called, had it for the amount of time they predicted, and were extremely up front about what they did and what it needed, they even gave me options from good, better, and best. I would recommend them to anyone. Fantastic job on the car guys, especially Jeremy.

They gave us a thorough inspection of our car, and included photos and a link for us to review the inspection later. This was a nice touch.The reason for my low review is that they quoted us at $1,761.23 for repairs. But after having the car fully inspected by a second mechanic shop that we trust, we discovered that we did not need to spend this much on repairs.I recommend getting a second professional opinion before hiring Crabtree to work on your car. Other than that they seem like fine guys. I hope this review helps, thank you. :)

The only place in town that I would trust with my vehicle! I recently had an issue with my Ford Edge and needed a new motor, unfortunately I wasn’t able to replace the motor do to cost. But Justin went above and beyond and exhausted all possible options to try and get me a used engine and it was super appreciated. Not a lot of places take the extra time to find a solution to such a bad situation. They were great! Would definitely bring my car here again.

Overcharges on parts and labor claiming the inability to put parts in brought from outside sources. Break jobs costing well over 700. Obviously stacked good reviews. Compared parts to online vendors and labor to other shops the upcharge is 35%.****update, attempted to allow them to repair a power steering pump on a car. They held the car for 3 weeks, had to replace the pump they installed twice. Left air filter plus o2 sensor disconnected up returning the car. They will damage and vandalize your car if you use their warrantee. THEY DO NOT USE NEW PARTS, ALL REMANUFACTURED.***********

I would trust them again.My Gran Prix coupe had an ignition problem, and would sometimes stall. Crabtree fixed that... a few days later the car wouldnt start in temps below 40 degrees! They honored their warranty, dug further, and replaced the ignition switch at no cost.

I had to call for a jump start, as the battery was dead. Took the car into Crabtree to have the electrical system checked. Battery and alternator tested. Battery charged, and I was back on the road. Whenever I have a problem with my car, Crabtree is my first call.

Ive never received better auto repair service than with Crabtree Auto Repair today. They replaced two windshield wipers and windshield arms for free and I didnt have to wait at all! They were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly, they fixed the issue quickly and at no cost. I would highly recommend Crabtree auto repair, and will be giving them all my service in the future.

We are somewhat new customers of Crabtree Automotive and have been nothing but pleased with the service provided. Finding a service shop that takes pride in its work and hires trustworthy & hardworking employees, is hard to find anymore. Its hard enough to find that we are willing to travel the 30+ minutes to Albany from where we live. This will be the only place we take our vehicles now as we know we can trust them and the quality of work they provide. They are very professional and explain everything in great detail and care for your vehicle as if it was their own.

This place is great. My car crapped out on me and they explained to me exactly what was wrong in a way that made it easy to understand for someone who doesnt know much about cars. They told me told me all of the things that might pop up during the repair and the cost of each item. They wound up getting me back on the road for a pretty decent amount less than what it could have cost and were super nice and informative to boot!

From start to finish they provided great service.They promptly returned my calls and quickly got my car in.Throughout the process they kept me informed of what they found and what they were going to do . They did everything possible to come under the budget they quoted me and have a 2 year warranty on all the work they did. I honestly can not think of how they could do a better job. Crabtree takes such amazing care of all of our vehicles! They inspect all our vehicles before we purchase them and even teach my girls how to do things like checking/topping off fluids.Over the last 5 years, they have become a part of our extended family (we have 6 vehicles, so we see them often, lol) and I know that they will be honest and up-front with us.

We have a 10 year old Chevy Malibu that started acting strangely and the battery kept draining. We knew it needed a new battery, which did not solve the problems. We went all over town trying to figure out the issue. We were told everything from a new stereo unit (which has a chip controlling some electrical functions) to a bad chip somewhere else. We took it to Crabtree Automotive based on the good reviews. Their facility is very clean and well organized. We asked them to troubleshoot it and let us know what they found. Later that day they called and said it was a simple battery terminal connector, and showed us the photo of before they replaced it. For some reason, I cant upload the photo. However, the car has run perfectly in the 2 months since that was done. All done for the cost of $99. I am very pleased that they took the time to thoroughly go through the car, read all the codes etc. and they didnt try and sell me services I did not need. I am very happy with the result and we will be using them in the future for any auto repairs we might need. Also, based on the photo, we were able to get a 1/2 refund on the brand new battery since it had been fully drained several times and the battery installer (from a different business) should have noticed it. This was one the BEST experiences I have EVER had in my 50 years with a Mechanic. They were friendly, accommodating, EASY to work with, HONEST and even came in lower than the quote! Also, I had a nail in my front tire and while they arent a tire shop that patches, they had a staff member take my tire to get it fixed so I could pick up my car worry-free and get on the road! This was at no additional charge! This kind of service is hard to find and I will not be taking my car to anyone else ever again. Thank you, Crabtree!!

They do a thorough inspection that I was NOT AWARE of when I turned it in for a routine oil change. They had A LOT of recommendations for needed maintenance with quotes, some that seemed a little excessive, like this may be where they make a lot of their money. They didnt check with me about any of the things before they made these recommendations so they didnt know any of the history of what I had already had worked on and what I had already had discussed with a trusted mechanic that I already use. And I was super disappointed that they checked my back windshield wiper that had a wrap on the back windshield, that I was instructed to never use that wiper when I I had it done. Crabtree rated I needed the back wiper blade to be changed, I was upset that they even checked it without asking me, and that it didnt cross their mind that they were wiping over a decal wrap??? I think there is a lot of youthful zeal at this automotive center without a lot of seasoned experience.

Was expecting to pay 1000+ dollars to fix my car and they told me I didnt need to replace the whole clutch and changed the cables for only 250. Runs better than it ever has and the person working up front (justin) was the nicest friendly person Ive ever met! Totally changed my perspective on going to an auto mechanic. Had a squeaky engine. They tried hard to narrow it down to something easily replaceable but in the end it was the engine itself putting metal particulate in the oil. So I had them replace the engine and they did a great job. Very professional.

I took my pickup in two times to get repaired. It cost me a ton of money and the air con still did not work. I believe they are overpriced and need better mechanics. That is just my opinion.

I feel like family when I go in. Little discouraging that at every oil change, something new pops up that should be fixed. That said, my car is 9 years and I am just now investing in the things that are wearing out. Normal wear and tear and I appreciate that Crabtree lets me know and will even prioritize the jobs. Took my old truck in for an oil problem and while they had it up on the lift they did a thorough systems inspection and found several other issues lurking.
