The employees seem like very nice people but they will LIE to you about what they have done to your vehicle and what are they capable of doing. I hope our story helps people find a better, more reliable shop.If youre up for the read, heres our story on why you should take your vehicle somewhere else:We took our vehicle here for an alignment months ago and they did great. When our vehicle had an unknown issue a few months later they took it saying they were capable of fixing it. They had out vehicle for 3.5months and did NOTHING. They told us that they put in a new engine, yet when they eventually sent it somewhere else we found out that they had not even touched the original engine. They lied to us about the work they were doing and we only got any results because I called every day for 2-weeks asking for updates after they had already had it for 3 months. They will also tell you that they will contact you with updates but we only ever found anything out by calling them because they never once contacted us. Most days no one could tell me what was happening when I called either. The shop they sent it to even admitted that this is not the first time they had heard of costumers complaining about this Gill Point S lying about they work they were doing. Thankfully we did not have to pay this place anything because theres no way I would have after all of the lies and waste of time.

Gotta hand it to these folks. Been going here a long time with four vehicles and Ive always had good service from them.-- Had a tensioner and belt replaced in December. Last month the tensioner had broken off... So, I towed it back to them. Come to find out they had done the work correctly. A specialized bolt from Honda had failed and was now a recall. Point S warrantied their work so the job cost me nothing and they were able to get the part of the bolt that remained in the engine block out. Love these guys.

This is the best tire shop in Albany.  I have interacted with all tire shops in town and all the others have pricing and/or customer service issues, some bordering on thievery.  Gills Point S gets it.  They bend over backward to meet your needs.  If there is something they cant do they will tell you. No BS.  Ive never been disappointed with pricing, more often delighted.  Of course they have a veterans discount. If youre looking for any tire-related work dont waste your time with any of the other shops. Point S is the place to go.

Took our luxury wheels in to have tires mounted. Chris helped us get exactly what we needed within a timely fashion. Super excellent service. 100% recommended.

So much better than Les Schwab. They also do alignments and brakes and even turn rotors with all the warranty and road hazard that Schwab has but less stress and no stories about bad parts needing replaced that dont at outrageous prices.

I stopped by Point S without an appointment to see if they would remove the tires from my Ford F-150 and mount, balance, and install replacement tires I had gotten from an acquaintance. Another tire store in Albany told me the charge would be $250.00 but they didnt want to. In other words, go somewhere else. I was greatly cordially at Point S and was told they would be glad to do this for me and the charge would be $90.00. They made an appointment for me the next business day. Looking forward to doing more tire business with these folks.

Their tire selection is better than anyone else around with good quality brands and also prices that are much more realistic than the other competitors. Hands down the only local place I go to!

While traveling from TN to OR my cargo trailer got not 1 but, 4 nails in one of the tires. I stopped in to see if they could repair it. They got me right in, had it fixed in no time and Im back on the road. Great staff, friendly, courteous and efficient. I highly recommend them.

The mechanics here are super honest. I took my car in for the ac not working expecting to pay $500 for a new compressor and ac charge. They took it back and called me 10 minutes to tell me that they replaced the plug and it was working again. Their prices are also good, but you cant put a price tag on honesty.

I was traveling from Washington to Arizona and broke down on the freeway at 8pm at night. Tow truck driver recommended Gills and took me and my dog there. Chris Austin was still at the shop and said hed check it out first thing in the morning. I felt I was in good hands, so far from home. Needed a new radiator and Chris had me on my way with minimal delay. I thank him very much and appreciate the care I received. He made, what could have been a nightmare, an easy delay to my trip. After having a bad sale from M and M dealership, they were able to get my car going. But it cost me $1800 after M and M knew something was wrong. Luckily I paid for repair insurance.

Best Tire place in town in my opinion! Always fast reliable service. Went in with a screw in my tire and the awesome guy working there had it patched up and back to me within 10 minutes. Plus they were really busy and still got me taken care of, all free of charge. Thanks again guys!!

I am not satisfied with the service.First of all, I spent 2 hours waiting for tires to be switched and alignment to be done. I did the same process in other tire service and they were done in 45 min. Also the alignment was not 100% straight. When I lifted the car I found that the bolts were loose and I drove like that from Oregon to Utah, that was very dangerous.

Great deals on tires. I went into the store and ordered the tires of my choosing a few days before install. I didnt set up an appointment for install. I walked in and in a little over an hour I walked out. They fit me in between other jobs. A+ service and knowledge. Easy to deal with. I recommend you make this your tire store.

Wonderful service. They have such integrity in their work. Theyll give you honest guidance as to work that needs done right away and work that can wait a little bit without harm. They understand life has budgets. Highly recommend them. Weve been using them for 5 years on all our vehicles. Theyre quick and on time too. When they say ready by 3pm its done by 3pm if not earlier. The personal customer service is on point at this local tire service station. I appreciate their honesty when dealing with my tires. The perks are just pulling up and having a technician check my PSI and air up if needed or remove a screw. Just for mounting and balancing is a good deal compared to the other tire business’s around town.

I am always greeted with a cheerful Hello from Chris when I come in. He always listens to what I want done and answers questions willingly. They are done with your vehicle when they say they will be done. If it aint broke, they leave it alone which is good on your wallet and the environment! I have been a devoted customer for years to another tire center, but I have started bringing my business to Points due to great service and reasonable prices.

Fast service with a smile coupled with great prices for quality work is always a win in my book. I got brakes, a tire rotation, and a synthetic oil change across two trucks in one day in under 5 hours for under $500 bucks. Without an appointment. I also found out theyre part of the American tire factory family so my tire warranty from Idaho is honored here. Ill be back for tires soon and they have a punch card program for oil changes so Ill keep doing those here to get free changes as a reward.

These guys are amazing!! My tire went flat and I didn’t have much money and I went over and they didn’t even hesitate!! They did it all within 15ish minutes! And all for free!!! They seriously saved my day that day without even knowing it!! I’ve been struggling and then being so kind to just help out was amazing. First time I ever went, and definitely won’t be my last!

My Chrysler 200 had a vibration that didn’t go away with just new tires and balancing. Gills kept digging into the problem and found bad bearings in front and back wheels. Thankfully they found the problems and fixed them at a reasonable cost.Thank You

Unexpectedly had to buy 2 new tires and figured I would be out at least $250. Was recommended here by another shop in Newport and I wasnt disappointed! I got 2 new tires installed & everything for $170 total. The wait time was short and the guys there were super nice & very helpful! Will be back next month for the other 2!

Came in with an extremely flat tire that needed replaced. They quickly tested my tire within 5 minutes of my arrival and showed me the hole that the air was leaking out of. They found me a tire for $40 and changed it within 10 min. They have friendly customer service and I would recommended them to everyone.

Great tire shop, I have purchased many sets of tires from these guys and have always been pleased with the service. I ordered a set of truck tires and after I got them home I wasnt happy with the look, I called them and they ordered a new set in the next day and swapped them out for me and only charged me the difference in price between the tires. I started out as a customer in 2014, I had an extremely low tire, they replaced the valve stem and sent me on my way no charge. Since then I have purchased tires for both of my vehicles. I work 50 plus hours a week and have little time, they have been gracious and found time to squeeze me in so that I could get oil changes on both vehicles just this past weekend. I was in town for a volleyball tournament when my battery died on my Ford Expedition, and then the security system shut down my engine. It was already a stressful weekend in our family, but Last Resort Towing got me to Gills S where they assisted me until we could get my vehicle back running. Gills did not charge me a dime! Whether it be because they claimed it was an “easy fix” or because they took pity on an over stressed car owner. I do not live in the area, but I don’t hesitate on recommending Gills in Albany!

Stopped in here today because my neighbor recomended this place to me. Needed a couple tires for the wifes car. Chris helped me pick out some tires and then got my car in and out quickly. Probably the best tire buying experience of my life. The place I used to go to would have taken twice as long to get the job done and charged me a lot more (i have their quote to prove it). They were quick with replacing my tire. I think I was there at most 30 min. Cute little bathroom. Coffee and tea and popcorn in the waiting room and wi-fi. I will be going back soon for a tire alignment soon.

I would give them 2 stars because they told me when i purchased 4 tires from them, that the front tires on the truck couldnt fit on the rear due to offsets on the wheels(wasnt true, i had no problem with rotating the wheels.
