Im so upset that I didnt catch the gentlemans name that helped me tonight. He was in the mechanic shop and provided excellent service. There wasnt really anything wrong with my car but, he helped calm my nerves while checking to make sure everything was fine. I really appreciate everything that he did for me tonight.

Car broke down and on a Sunday! Pep Boys was open, took it in right away, had my car ready for pick up on Monday!! Fair prices, GREAT staff! My car is running great! Thank you SO much to all the staff. You are now my go to place!

Maybe the worst auto shop I’ve ever been to. Took car in for simple inspection with the check engine light on. Figured they’d at least put a little effort into it and run a real diagnostic test but they simply called it a transmission issue and said I’d have to replace the entire transmission to pass inspection (4K fix). Obviously I took it for a second opinion (and shocker it was a sensor that gave a false reading) and my car ended up passing inspection and the whole ordeal cost me $150 bucks. Not to mention they were completely disorganized and made me call them because they lost my number. Their tires aren’t even cheaper than tires plus. Save your money and take your car to a real repair shop. I’m not a mechanic, but I imagine if I was I wouldn’t want to work at a Pep Boys (I’d want to work at a real repair shop) which certainly explains their lack of talent. I didn’t have high hopes when I went there but they basically told me I should consider selling my car for pennies on the dollar when the only issue was a failing sensor. They guys are trash don’t go here trust me on that one.

My boyfriend and I ran over a stray mobile crane foot on Saturday morning on the highway. Completely destroyed the transmission fluid pan and possibly the transmission. It took them a couple of days, but they fixed her up and shes as good as she was before the incident with thankfully a still functional transmission. Zach was extremely friendly and helpful, answering all of my anxious phone calls and all of my questions. Would definitely recommend speaking with him specifically if possible!

The workers sent me home during my appointment time instead of performing my state inspection, adding to the stress I already had for moving from another state, having a 10 day deadline from PA was impossible while starting a new job. The fact that their website has not been updated since the restrictions lifted to show the actual valid appointments is unprofessional, and the staff pinning the entire blame on me instead for setting up the appointment online was even more so.

Just encountered the most ignorant and annoying person running the auto repairs section. Anyone that tells me that they are no longer speaking to me just because I raise a valid point is solely responsible for the future loss of my business.

Zach was very helpful and answered all questions I had. Excellent customer service on his behalf and made my experience very memorable. I will be returning for car services in the future.

Ordered tires and scheduled a tire change and alignment online. We get to the store for our appointment and they said they would have to reschedule because the guy who does alignments leaves at 5 and we scheduled our appointment for 6. He said it was “unfortunate” that the online service allowed us to schedule for a time that we could not get the service. The man pulled up our order, saw the tires and alignment that we ordered and scheduled, and got us rescheduled from Friday at 6pm to Sunday at 1 pm. My husband went today, Sunday, for the appointment and was informed that they do not have the tires we ordered and cannot get them. Not once did anyone tell us this on Friday or call any time Saturday or this morning to let us know of this issue! They then proceeded to schedule a new service with more expensive tires without once offering a discount or anything for the issue. All they told my husband was that if he orders online he needs to also call the store to double check that the product is available. That is unacceptable! If the website says it is available in the store, it should be available! Furthermore, to provide excellent customer service, some sort of remedy should be offered to the customer other than making the customer feel like they are somehow at fault because PepBoys doesn’t know how to run a website. The very least they should have done would be to offer tires at the same price as the ones we had purchased

I went to 3 other tire shops and none could help me. Zach was super helpful and set me up with a full set of new tires. He did them day-of which was a life saver too.

I know it was a tough request, going in an hour before close, but Im from out of town and just needed to get my tire plugged from a screw in it and got turned away. I wouldve gladly waited for the other tickets in line to get done so I dont run the risk heading home on a flat, but felt unimportant as a customer, do not recommend.

I Posted this past week about how horrible of a time I had with the service of this location, got a general response that directed me to email another department in which I did. However just like my non returned phone calls, and prior emails this one as well also not returned. Absolutely horrible service, completely unprofessional and under no circumstances does management handle any issues of concern to make matters right to save a customer! Will never come back here again! Being a business owner myself, you always do what you can to save a customer, how pathetic!

I went to this location for many years for my car inspections and oil changes for my two vehicles. The last year or so the service got worse every time--long wait times just for an oil change. During the last visit, my brake pads were not put on correctly after getting them replaced in order to pass the state inspection. I returned a week later since the brakes still had issues and were not braking properly. The cashier was surprised that they were the ones that replaced them just a week prior. Luckily, no damage seemed to be done. I, unfortunately, will not be returning to this location or others in the future.

Good selection of parts. Was not looking for anything in particular but like to browse and see what I might find for my Nissan Rogue. Prices are usually very competitive.

Took my car in for specific services which were pretty basic, I had put new tires and rims on my car. So it needed aligned with wheel spacers, balanced and weighted, and the Tpms to be checked and programmed to the car. Paid the bill and left. Didn’t even make it to the highway and my Tpms light came on got on the highway it started shaking like crazy, which it didn’t do prior. I called and called and emailed. No return calls, No return emails! Took to another garage which cost me another pretty penny, wheels were never balanced and weighted nor were spacers ever put on and the Tpms was never done. So now I am in the process of dealing with that too.... Thanks for wasting my money for me!

Dont bother scheduling an appointment, the time window you select means absolutely nothing. selected the first available timeslot in the hours of operation, and the job was not started until 4pm.

I pulled into pep boys parking lot with a tire that was about to blow out. A bubble had pushed through my sidewall. I was prepared to purchase a new tire.The lady at the counter was made aware of how dire my situation was. Also that I was prepared to buy new tires. I told her that I barely made it to the parking lot.She said she couldnt fix it until the next day. Its a tire not a transmission I told her. She said there were no technicians to do it.Why does pep boys have six bay doors and never more then two technicians? How long would it take to fix a tire? Ten minutes?I got a mile away before the tire blew out. Nearly crashed.I will never return to pep boys for anything. If they would have taken five minutes they could have made a sale of hundreds of dollars. Put the customer first and made sure I was safe.Very disgusted with the whole experience.

Replaced all 4 tires without an appointment.... kind, efficient and quality work!

I purchased 4 set of tires and alignment for my 2016 stock hight Honda civic. Went there on Friday and put the order in. I was told they would be there the next day. Nope, another order was was put in for Monday. Came Monday and the tires were put on but no alignment. I asked why. Their response was, the car is too low. Umm, factory height Honda civic folks. Looks like they can only do alignments on trucks, jeeps and cars that have minimum 2ft of clearance...

They were quick and friendly. Ive gone to them for 25-30 years.

We scheduled two appointments for state inspection online, one for 3:30 and one for 5:30. Once I showed up to drop off the first vehicle nobody is at the desk to help me. Only after searching through the whole store and having another employee from a different department find the person that was supposed to be helping me was I able to talk to someone in services. The people in services then inform me that theyre overbooked today so they wont take my car and they tried to call us to cancel the appointment. They also informed me that thier state inspector leaves at 5 so a 5:30 appointment is useless anyways. Checking my phone I received no call or any notification that they tried to contact me. Horrible service and a horrible customer experience.

I scheduled a appointment to have my tires mounted on my new wheels. I asked how long it would take and was told probably around 90 minutes. It wasnt until 3 hours later that my vehicle was ready and had to be told that while installing the wheels back on my vehicle the lug wrench slipped on not 1 but 2 of my brand new wheels and scratched both of them.I will say the employee owned up to the mistake which I did very much appreciate but in the end I was given a slight discount (approx $30 off) however after spending about $140 per wheel I am now left with 2 scuffed wheels that havent even been used on the road yet. Doesnt really seem like $30 off and a apology makes up for the mistake but I guess I will have to accept it.

Went for new tires two weeks ago .. The tire light came on now I just noticed my rim not put back on correctly .. would not recommend .

VERY DISAPPOINTED! I went in for an oil change and also to have tires topped off at 35 lbs. The left rear read 29 lbs. while the other three were reading 30 & 31 lbs. according to the computer installed in my Chevy Equinox. When I got the car back, I asked if the tires had been checked. I was told yes. When I got in my car, I decided to check the new pressure. Lo and behold - it read the same. I then returned into the store to double-check on what was done. The manager asked the mechanic if he checked the tires. By this time he was already working on another car and said he did not remember how many lbs he topped the tires off with. ( Whatever pressure it said on the inside of the door was his response.) BTW - it reads that there should be 35 lbs. I became worried that the interior computer reading was off and drove to the dealership to have it checked. The mechanic at the dealership checked the pressure in the tires and sure enough, the pressures were 29, 30, & 31 respectfully. They filled the tires according to the manufacturers recommendation.I also asked about the type of oil that should have been used. The dealership recommends full synthetic rather than half synthetic which is what Pep Boys recommended. When I brought this to the Pep Boys managers attention she asked if I wanted it changed. I said yes The oil was changed at no extra charge. She also said that she would talk to the technician about putting air in the tires. Also, on the second page of my receipt, it stated under the service information, the four tires information defaulted to 1 on the tread depth.All in all, I was VERY disappointed with the service although the manager did apologize and said that she would speak to the tech employee.

Their staff was pleasant to talk to. Very respectful. Did awesome job on my car and daughters car.Would recommend Pep Boys to my friends and family. Thank you very much.

Had a appointment set up for tires at 8:00. They called evening before and said they sold the tires we wanted but would order more and changed the appointment to 4:00 that day. Its now 6:45 and they still havent got my tires on!! Will not be dealing with them anymore 😠

I was able to ship the tires I purchased off Amazon and pay to have them installed, all at once. The employees were very friendly and helpful. I got their rewards card and got an oil change while I was there

Mike the service manager went above and beyond. He easily could have said “Sorry can’t help you. Come back tomorrow “ We were several hours from home and late in the day. He and his mechanic were able to apply a temporary fix that got us home.Really appreciate the extra effort to help us out.

I have taken several vehicles to Pep Boys. They are always honest and upfront about repair costs. I used to be in the car business so I know a few things about cars. Their prices are fair and their service is excellent. I have earned rewards and receive coupons in the mail which make sure I keep coming back. I am a very happy customer.

Purchased tires with an appointment for 9AM online. Website said tires were in stock. Got there 9AM and was told the samething. Waited 30 minutes in waiting area and then was told the tires were not there. Waste of time. They were sitting at another location and she didnt know why they didnt come on truck. Asked me to come back later in the day, 1 hour round trip for me, once they were delivered. Got a call later and returned and got tires installed. Left and got on the highway and the car had a bad vibration from unbalanced tires. Tired and frustrated I just went home. Return the next day and was told I needed to make an appointment to have them re-balanced. Another 1 hour round trip. Finally got them balanced on 4th trip and still a slight vibration. Will never go back and suggest the same to anyone who would ask my opinion.

The place seemed packed with supplies and made it nearly impossible to leave without wanting to spend more money. The cashier was polite and a pleasant environment

Car broke down in front of pep boys yesterday and while they were kind enough to replace the alternator and battery for $1000; I was livid about paying for an extended warranty which I did not authorize. It’s shameful that customers cannot trust mechanics to do the right thing without watching them carefully

My car broke down at 530pm in york one fri night. These guys were the only shop i could find that was open and could provide towing. I will never take my car anywhere else. The staff was awesome. They were familiar with my repairs when i called, very friendly and professional and most importantly, Fast! Got my car back sunday afternoon with everything in perfect working order.

Only place close that had k&n air filters for my S500 in stock. It would be nice if there were more pepboys stores around

Took my vehicle to the Pep Boys, York, PA (Loucks Road) location to get a new starter and battery installed. Was initially quoted a cost over $900, including a REMANUFACTURED starter, priced at $300. The sales associate didn’t even suggest to go online and order the necessary parts to save a little money with the online discount offered on the Pep Boys’ own WEBSITE!Later, I discovered I could get a brand new starter installed at another service center for LESS than the cost of the discounted remanufactured starter at Pep Boys. Were I rich or earning upper middle class income, the initial $900 wouldn’t bother me as much (although, I would still search for a better deal).However, I’m a blue-collar, working class guy that doesn’t have nearly one thousand dollars just lying around. Basically, Pep Boys (York, PA) tried to rob me blind. I will never take any vehicle I own to this business again.You need your vehicle serviced? DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!! Take your vehicle SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! If you don’t mind getting cheated out of your hard-earned money?? Go to this Pep Boys location; they’ll be happy to RIP YOU OFF!!STAY AWAY from this Pep Boys location!They’re just out to swindle your money FROM YOU!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! Was able to get the tires I wanted, with a convenient appt. Service was quick and efficient. I got an oil change along with the tires. They didnt put an new reminder sticker on. A very good experience.

They were very helpful. I needed a couple things and they why as got them for me. Then they put my new wiper blades on for free, in the snow. Service was great.

I love the place. Jim and his crew in there always take care of me with great respect and honesty. Sure things dont always go as planned but they do everything in their power to make things go as smoothly as possible.

I called Pep Boys to make sure research some tires that I needed for my car. While the car was there I was also going to have a full oil change and inspection done to the vehicle. I was satisfied with the answers I received so I scheduled my car to have the oil change, inspection, and all four tires replaced.16 hours later, I am informed that the they only have ONE tire in the entire building that will fit my car and instead of the bill being $378 it will be $800. Also, if you want the buy three get one free deal they have running you have to purchase the $56. road hazard policy on the tire so technically you arent getting ANY of them for free. When I told them to just forget the tires, just do the oil change and the inspection I find out that an oil change is $39.99...WHAT???? I can go across the street to Jiffy Lube for 19.00. LOTS AND LOTS OF DECEPTION going on here, and highway robbery to boot. I will NEVER take another vehicle to Pep Boys for anything and I recommend that you dont either!!!!! Addendum, I just called there and asked for the same tire I had asked for yesterday and Ivan told me they had them in stock for $432 total installed....HMMMMMM really ??? Because Frank told me you didnt have them just an hour ago and you only had the $800 tires???? BUYER BEWARE

Horrible place. Took my car here for a wheel alignment and was giving my car back with the whole back end swaying side-to-side and told that nothings wrong with it and that everythings in spec. Will never take my car here again I never refer anybody to this place.

Pep Boys tells the customer exactly what needs fixed to be inspected (they dont do framework). You come back with that fixed, then they decided the frame needed fixed an additional place. We now have paid them TWICE for a state inspection, but no sticker.And we did talk to the incompetent and rude manager. We will NEVER AGAIN be bringing in any of our vehicles to Pep Boys!!!Incompetent rip-off service!!!!

I go here for everything for my car. All of my family does as well. They have everything, good prices, and will help you with anything they can. Ill never step foot in Auto Zone and Advanced Auto again!

I know absolutely nothing about cars and feel like whenever I have to get something done with mine, I am a huge target for scams. Well, each and every time I have come here they have been super helpful and patient with me, and have never tried to do unnecessary work or upsell me in any way. I would recommend them to anyone.

Ivan and Company were awesome, got me in and out the same day for an overdue safety inspection. Honest and reasonable. I grabbed an online coupon and even got a rebate visa gift card in the mail. Keep up the great work guys!

Sold me the caliper for the incorrect side of my vehicle. Asked for a left side and when we went to put it on the vehicle it was the right side. Now I’m out the vehicle for another how many days while I wait for the correct part.

Person who checked me in acted as if she was annoyed and couldnt have been less helpful. She was interrupted by a fellow employee and I had to wait. I had to give all the information that I had given on the website. When I asked why, I was told she cant see anything on the site and said I should always call instead. The time I scheduled on line was changed to a later time less convenient for me. Not happy with Pep Boys this time. Earlier visits have been much better.

I called in to get a price check on a cart full of items for my car and a rude customer service agent answer the phone and after I told him that the website was down he insisted repeatedly that I use the website. he then proceeded to list off individual prices of items and I assumed that he was adding them to the cart to give me a total at the end which is what I asked for. after about 15 minutes of him searching for parts and telling me how to repair my vehicle when I already know how he insulted my intelligence by telling me that a power steering filter was useless. after the conversation was over I asked how much the cart totaled and he told me that he wasnt adding them up and he thought I would be. his tone of voice was rude and inconsiderate and I would not recommend pepboys to any of my friends. Not to mention the fact that all of the parts cost about the same as advance Auto.

Very knowledgeable staff willing to come out and help me with my stripped lug nut but I wasnt really impressed on a Sunday at 8 or 9 in the am I needed a lug nut torch off on my Durango and they couldnt do it because they had no one or I think they didnt have anyone in the shop and he said would be two hours I could have waited but I didnt want to wait wasnt that big of a deal but I was 5 hours from home visiting my parents in that area and I kind of wanted to have it done but the service manager couldnt get to it for a couple hours but thats fine they very nice there I will definitely go back

They have poor communication including the female sales advisor/manager, the technician I had was incompetent and did not do his job entirely. I did not have good vibes from the start, there was almost no communication and they did not take a look at my service paper I brought in from Jack Giambalvo. The technician at Pep Boys tried to blame everything wrong on the shop I was at previously (although yes they were just as I competent at Jack Giambalvo or else I would not even have gone to Pep boys) But simply if he would have DONE HIS PART first correctly he would have caught their issue first. He would have known I didn’t need a tire, instead he failed to do the tire service before installing the new tire and then after I came back and complained that my light was still on he found “the problem”. If they would have listened properly from the start & the technician would have been more thorough there would not have been any issues. I would not have purchased a tire, they could have told me my valve stem was not put on properly at Jack Giambalvo (where I was earlier). At least I got my money back 100% and a free tire out of it. Will NEVER go to this location again or recommend it to ANYONE. Even if you are in desperate need like I was tonight, DO NOT GO TO THIS PEP BOYS. Period.Oh I forgot to add- they put a bogus address and name on my service ticket... what is up with that? They did not even take my demographics down correctly.

I needed same day service in order to drive my car. It was frustrating but they got me fixed up and on the road within 2 hours. Only the price is what upset me, but Id say the convenience was worth it.

Tied to get motor oil deal... should be able to get pulurator filter instead of champion, due to champions limited selection. Deal wouldnt ring up with lowered price...walked out will buy else where.

Took my stock height car in to rotate my tires waiting there for at least 30 minutes only for them to tell me they cant get my car on the lift without damaging the body? I was floored! Couldnt believe this place was forreal.
