I had my brakes done in Hobart, Indiana. I drove safely but the brake fluid kept leaking out. They were able to resolve the issue in record time.The manager, Logan she’s absolutely wonderful. Very pleasant attitude and I felt so good having them work on my vehicle. She was very professional and made sure she was accurate in her findings. What a woman!!!.I wish I could be a mechanic like her!.Her workers are great and you could see the team effort all around. I recommend this place!!!I’m originally from New York and moved to Illinois Indiana and she knew that town. She is customer friendly. Great job guys!!

What an absolute pleasure it was from the time I made the first phone call to the time I paid my bill after services! It was great getting through immediately to schedule a diagnostic (free) with Logan and setting the appointment after receiving a detailed list of costs. Logan set clear expectations for services needed and was able to get me in according to my schedule with no problems whatsoever! I showed up on time and they had me out the door within the time frame given. I have to give a shout out to Alex as well for working on my car and answering any questions I had about my brakes and electrical issues. Both Logan and Alex really knocked it out of the park with my experience and have found themselves a lifelong customer in me! The prices and customer service were far superior than what Ive experienced at any local BMW Dealership, so I wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to the team at MIDAS, what a great experience!

This location has the most polite, knowledgeable, professional and understanding staff i have ever dealt with. I was treated with respect and they showed and explained every problem that my vehicle had. Also, since I am on a fixed income and had very little money on hand to fix very expensive repairs, they helped me with a finance program that had no money down and 0% interest if paid within 100 days that would be reported to the credit agencies for positive results to my overall score in the long run.

On 1/29/19 I went to Midas to get a new exhaust installed on my classic 87 F150. They got me right in and out and I was on my way. No problem right? Wrong! A month later while getting new tires at a different shop the mechanic asked me, Whered you get your exhaust system installed? I told him and asked why. He took me out to the garage and showed me where the system was leaking in 4 different places, the welding was done by an amature, it was hung improperly and the muffler itself was the wrong size for the truck.A week or so later I had the chance to stop back into the Winter Park store and ask them to repair the system. This time the gentleman wasnt so accomodating and didnt even ask if he could look at my vehicle for me to point out what the issues were. He only said, Look. Those (exhausts/mufflers) are stock and they are the only ones we sell. When I disagreed he continued, Dont tell me - Ive been doing this work for 27 years.I knew this would go nowhere - I stopped talking walked out. I then started the lengthy process of contacting their corporate offices (TBC Corp in W.P.Beach - Midas stores are independently owned which makes remediation more difficult.) A very nice person in their customer service department was happy to tell me what I needed to do to have attention given to my complaint. Which I did right away.A little over a week later I received a call from a Midas store near UCF - I took it in and they were very helpful and agreed the system was improperly installed and they replaced the entire system. This time correctly. They even brought me out to the garage and pointed out the repairs and proper installation.If you need an exhaust - save yourself a big fat headache and just go to the E. Orlando store first. Its worth the drive.

Ken is the best mechanic I have ever worked with. Genuinely a great honest guy. He always helps me out when Im in a bind making sure I can afford whatever minors repairs Ive needed which have mostly been tires and rims. He has called junk yards to find affordable rims for me and is always available and never takes longer than a day or two to get the repairs done. I highly recommend them and wont go anywhere else.

I have been here a few times and every time the service has been outstanding. Today I went in for some new tires and another customer was being extremely rude and confrontational. I was waiting for my car to be finished and witnessed the whole incident. The manager, Ken, handled the volatile situation with professionalism and reason. The other person was clearly unreasonable and Ken stayed calm and polite. I have nothing but the utmost respect for his approach and I will definitely continue to come back here.In regards to my business, each change they made, they took me out to view the tire in question and explained why they were doing what they were doing. Just so I was aware of their recommendations and so I knew exactly what they were doing with my vehicle. Great service!!

I had to make a stop because of an alert on my dash (low air on one of my tires). One of the technicians found a nail and was able to patch it. I was there maybe 15 minutes and I was on my way home. They didnt charge me anything for the fix. I appreciate everything they did. I will definitely come back.

I love this place and it is the only place I will go if I have a nail in my tire. They are so quick and professional. Everywhere else will probably try to sell you a tire or be dishonest in some kind of way but these guys just say give a small tip and youll be on your way. I drive a lot on I4 so this is probably the 3rd or 4th time that Ive used them and they never raise a fuss. I am always in-and-out on my lunch break. Great job guys I will always refer you to my friends and coworkers.

UPDATE:Never mind, almost $1k into motor mounts never fixed the issues kept throwing them money to fix it. Finally took it to another shop they fixed it in a few hours said midas used cheap parts and installed the motor crooked. Of course midas wont refund my money since it was done at another shop. Dont go here go to sloans in Orlando.Old review:Honesty upfront and good. Have dealt with local competition and they just cant compete

My 2002 Chevy Tahoe had major brake issues, a snapped cv axle, and rotting brake lines. I was so stressed out when I had the truck towed to Midas. Ken helped me and immediately put my mind to ease. The work was done perfectly, no issues at all, and completed within a few hours. Ken kept me thoroughly updated via text by sending me pictures and calling me throughout the project. Stopped in late on Wednesday afternoon to get a 2nd opinion quote on some brake work that another shop had quoted at $850. He gave me a ballpark figure and said to come in earlier in the day when they could pull the tires and be more accurate. Went in at 11:30 today, by 11:45 we were standing by the car and he was showing me what needed to be done. By 1:30 I was leaving with the job done, costing $372!! They even honored a 9 year old receipt for lifetime brake pads. Honest about required work and calling BS on the other shops required work. Thank you Ken & crew!!

The Midas shop at 100 N. Orlando Ave. in Winter Park, FL is a well managed, no nonsense place with skilled technicians. I had been there once before with my son’s car and appreciated their efficiency and the quality of their work; each alignment is accompanied by a before-and-after printout of the vehicle.This visit was with my own car. I had some work done at the dealership when I got the classic bait-and-switch call about how they wanted to expand the scope of work from their previous recommendation. I told the dealership to stop where they were and I’d take my car to Midas for new CV axles and an alignment. (It was my original intention to do that, but I had been urged by the car dealership to do less work; once the work started, their story changed. I went back to my “Plan A” and took the car to Midas.) Midas completed the work I wanted cheaper and within the time frame the Midas manager had said. I’ll be back to this Midas shop in the future!One suggestion for improvement would be to kill off the “shop supplies” fee tacked on to most bills, or at least to make sure you disclose it up front with the estimate. I realize this junk fee helps cover the cost of the coupons Midas markets with, but it makes you LOOK like you are rooking people, just like so many dealerships and other shops do. You’d be better off just raising prices slightly and TELLING folks that you don’t play the “surprise junk fees” game.

Great place. The manager Ken is honest, tells you whats going on straight to the point with no BS, which some people I guess take as rude, but personally I appreciate it. Ive brought my daughters car up many times, everything is always done correctly, all the techs are very skilled. Before coming here, we went to the Firestone up the road, & one of their techs forgot to put the oil cap back in after a simple oil change, & blew the entire engine. The techs here are competent, thorough, and know what theyre talking about, not just trying to get you in and out.

Today’s experience with Ken at the Midas in Winter Park was very disappointing. I was given a quote yesterday by Scott on a repair needed for my Tiguan VW. I traveled across the city during my lunch hour to drop off my car to have the work done. Things quickly turned south with Ken when he was unable to locate a ticket for my services that Scott created the day prior. He immediately started giving me an attitude and treating me as if I were an inconvenience to him. I’ve never seen someone switch up so fast I was not expecting to be treated so poorly due to a miscommunication that was from within. When I asked if this is how they do business his reply was yes it is and if I wanted the work done I’ll have to wait for Scott to return back to work the next day. He quickly dismissed me and as I walked away he made comments underneath his breath. I’ve been a Midas car care member for years this is so disappointing, I’ve never received this kind of treatment at VW dealership. Midas was so poorly represented today. I’m still in shock at what happened.

I had my brakes replaced recently and tried to tough it out with my two year old in the waiting area. After a while it was clear he was miserable and the staff were able to get my carseat and one of them drove us home so he could take his nap. They even offered to come back to pick us up when the car was ready. It was such unexpected service and compassion for dealing with a tired toddler. This place has always been great to us.

Went to Midas today to just find out what was going on with my tire. Pressure was going from 42PSI to 26PSI overnight. Had a previous patch, and ken and Tyler where able to take off my tire— see that the person who patched it somewhere else did it wrong and repatched and plugged it, sealed the rim, balanced the air in all my tires, and didn’t charge me anything. WHAT!!? I will totally return. Thank you ken and Tyler. You guys helped me a ton.

I went in to either plug or replace a tire with a nail in it, expecting to wait a while as Im accustomed to (Im cursed to get nails in my tires). At other tire shops I usually wait 1-1.5 hours to find out I have to replace the tire. However this time, I was told in 10 minutes it was plugged and that it was free. I was pleasantly surprised, and all the manager (Falco) asked was for me to tip the serviceman (Rick). Very happy with the service and speed, would come here again!

I went in with concerns about my muffler and electrical system (the check engine light was on with 7 codes). Ken was so kind and honest and so were the other employees. They looked at my car right away. As a woman I have often felt talked down to by mechanics, but Ken was great about explaining things in plain terms while treating me as an equal. I took my car in there for a brake inspection and they quoted me $1000, before tax, for new pads and rotors and when I took it to another shop that I trust and have been taking cars to for years they told me my brakes still had half of their life left and that it was just the brake fluid.

Happy with the price and the service. I was a little frustrated that the manager made a big case on the AMSOIL synthetic oil change. He said it was a 12,000 12 month oil change, which is great...so I bought it. However the recommendation on the sticker (after I paid) is 10,000 miles. Still a great deal...but just be honest and straight forward. If its recommended to change at 10k not 12, just give me the fine print before I pay for it.

As a new Florida resident, I loathed having to find a new mechanic that I can trust. Thank God I found this Midas in Winter Park! Ken, the manager, is the one of the nicest people I have met since moving here, and despite having the phone ringing non-stop, always maintains his calm, friendly attitude, and takes the time to listen. He makes practical recommendations, and doesnt try to push unnecessary up-sell extras on you, or nickel-and-dime you for the little things. The other day, I my car got a flat a few blocks away while out with my toddler son. I couldnt throw the spare on because I had stripped the nut in the process. So, I was forced to drive my car into the lot on the rim, and was essentially at his mercy. Though they were very busy, Ken found a way to squeeze me in. Turns out my tires were old and worn, and I needed 4 new ones. Ken gave me a great deal on a set of safe, reliable, non-flashy tires for my non-flashy car at an amazing price - $492 all in for 4 tires, labor, fees, and taxes. Plus, he didnt charge me for a new nut to replace the stripped one, and also offered to change out the rim on my 1 mismatched tire for free next time I come in. In addition to that, my toddler son needed to be changed in the midst of all this - the bathroom was not spacious enough, so Ken set up a change area for me behind the counter, and even disposed of the dirty diaper for me!I cant describe how comforting it was to have my needs taken care of in such an efficient manner, with such friendly service and integrity. I was in a vulnerable position, trying to wrangle a cranky 1 1/2 year old, unable to take my car anywhere else - but they did not try to gouge me. I love this place! I trust Ken and his crew, and I am thrilled to have a car guy again. This is the only place I will bring my vehicles from now on.

My first time- had brake pads done on Dec 2013. Service was great and Ken was super nice.My second time - I went back last week because my front brakes were making noise. Ken informed me that my car was fine and the noise was normal. I didn’t agree. I have been hearing the noise for a week. Ken called me again on Saturday morning to tell me that my car did need brake pads- Front and Back plus rotors! He stated the technician had made a mistake. I now need Brake pads again (1 1/2 yr),I was very surprised. I only did the front brakes. Price quoted was too high for both.I picked my car up and as I drive my hands and everything I touched was BLACK. My wheel, the door, the shift/gear handle. I had to stop to clean all the grease/ black smudge all over my car. Im very disappointed with the service at Midas! Very different experience from my first time!

Ive read through all of the negative reviews on Ken, the service manager. My wife and I both arrived right at 9 am this morning, knowing the window for new insurance / vehicle inspection (Midas is an authorized inspector with Geico) was between 9 and 11 am. Ken handed me a pen and clipboard, and highlighted what needed to be completed on the intake form. As I walked to the counter to hand it back to him, he schooled me and told me to sit down as he pointed to a chair. I let him know that I was handing him back the form, and he said he will call me when he is ready. It went downhill from there. He was vague, unclear with the next step. He said he would call my phone when it was time to pull my car around. I asked him the estimated wait time and he said he was busy. I asked if I could submit the form for my wifes car which was also there. He said he can only do one car at a time. I get that part. He made it clear stating that he doesnt have time for the inspections and hates doing them. OK then. Perhaps you could start by telling me on the phone before we took the effort to drive to the store and be treated like first graders. I own a business and so does my wife, and we have very busy schedules. Worst experience was being treated like second class citizens by a very unfriendly, unprofessional and disrespectful service manager. The franchise owner of this store probably has no idea the business and reputation he is losing with this level of customer service. I dont want some canned reply by the owner, and am not willing to discuss this matter with him. If he cared, this would have been addressed in the first batch of negative reviews on the same topic. Awesome service! Very friendly! They worked me in for a last minute oil change with no problem. Ken the manager was very helpful and personable. And they did not give me a laundry list of things that are wrong with my car which happened every time I went a a place right down the road from Midas. I would def recommend this Midas location!

I went to Midas because I had a nail in my tire, I came in first thing and they were able to fix it within about 15 minutes. Great customer care and fast service! I am very impressed.

Fair pricing and honest workmanship. I never feel like Im being upsold on repairs I dont need or being overcharged for parts and service. The service is quick and friendly and the front desk manager (Ken?) walks you through exactly what they want to do and why.

Me and my friend went there today (1/3/20) 2pm with all smiles to ask for an estimate to replace all my tires for a quiet tires. But instead I was greeted by 2 guys whose angry to start with, disappointed faces, probably annoyed to see a NEW POTENTIAL CUSTOMER, and shows no interest of doing bussiness. I understand were human but dont pass ur frustration or anger to us! IT IS UR JOB!!!! period! You dont like ur job? then quit! and learn the meaning of PROFESSIONALISM.

This people at this store basically stole my money! I went to do an alignment and payed $82 for them to basically make the car worst. The steering wheel is off and the said they won’t fix it, after they said it has 3 months. Then they call the police on me because I wanted my car fix today not some other day. They actually call the police and won’t refund my money. Big time crooks!

In Feb 2019 Oil change by tech Bernie De Sena,stole my 2009 Audi A4 Badge, i had open the hood last weekend for the first since the oil change to remove leafs and saw the badge was missing, who ever checks the engine when you have a Oil change is done, so went to complain to same Mgr Ken Falco 05/04/2019, all he did was cursed me out, made racist remarks & gestures. Folks lookout, take pictures of your Vehicle before everywhere, remove your expensive belongings go around the whole vehicle with manager after work done take pictures, as the staff are thieves and rude. Go there at at your own peril!

Took my car here after hitting a piece of tire thread at it punctured a fuel line. Ken and his crew were able to get me back on the road in less than 2 hours. I will be sure to spread the word on what excellent care they took of my situation. Thanks again Ken and crew!

If I could I would give 0 stars. Here goes sorry it’s lengthy.My boyfriend took my truck in to get an alignment on 3-11-2019 it’s now 4-1-2019 so right at 3 weeks later my alignment is still messed up and my 2 front tires are practically bald. Mind you before I went in my front tires were still in good condition had plenty of tread life left and now I need 2 new tires and my truck is still pulling. I called today 4-1-2019 and their store manager answered. I talked to him and explained the situation and let him know how frustrated I was. He told me I couldn’t get it in today that I’d have to come back some other day because he had an appointment at 2:30 so he was leaving soon. He then also tried to put the blame on me that my tires are bald because I have the wrong size tires on my truck. No I don’t have stock tires I have a lifted truck sitting on 35’s for those of you that know tire sizes the are LT315/70R17. I have a 2004 Ford F-150. My camber when they finished my alignment is still in the red they didn’t even really attempt to fix it even though when it went in my right side camber was in the green they didn’t keep it in the green and try to fix the left side which was in the red by .1 the ended up putting the left side at .2 over into the red and the right side which was at .5 when it came in to .7 which is .1 into the red but .2 over what it was when I went in. I’m extremely dissatisfied with the way their manager handled things he is not very good with customer serivce. I work in the customer service industry and the way he handled the situation was not the way a manager should have. I am now out $82 for the alignment plus about $500+ for 2 new tires that would’ve been fine had they gotten the alignment right or just told me in the first place that they couldn’t do it. I asked the manager over the phone if I could get a refund and all I got was a quick “NO” basically yelled at to me through the phone. I will never return to this company again and don’t advise anybody to go to this company at least not this location. I am very disappointed and again still don’t have a perfect alignment and am out 2 tires that I now have to replace since the company doesn’t know the beginning of customer service. I even called the corporate office just to be told they couldn’t do anything for me but give me a reference number that I called and they took down the information I informed them of. EVERYONE PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF FROM WASTING YOUR TIME AND JUST DON’T GO HERE IT’S NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE THEY WILL CAUSE!!!!!!!!

Never go here. I told them I had squeaky breaks and to check them. They did all right. Said I needed all 4 pads, two roters, and a full break line flush. Only $400, with a $100 off coupon included in price. I said really? all that is necessary and needed? Took car to my dealer who I was avoiding, fearing high prices, they said breaks, roters, and fluids just fine. Dealer recommended NOT to replace anything. It is just Chinese breaks that squeak towards end of life, but still had 5 to 10 thousand miles left of use. Just need a cleaning. Midas is a ripoff garage. I hope they close soon.

I needed an oil change in my F150 w/2.7L twin turbo...called a few places in Winter Park then came across Midas. I talked with Ken who seemed to be a very knowledgable down to earh guy. Though Midas was extremely busy he worked me in for an oil change and tire rotation. While the team preformed the work on my truck I waited in the lobby. I listened as the phone rang and watched as new and existing ustomers arrived. The level of customer service I witnessed was exceptional. I havent seen..or experienced such high quatily in many years. I myself felt Midas truely appericiated my business and put my needs first. Midas made my day. If you are looking for an honest shop Midas is where you need to go. Thank you Ken and team!

I stumbled upon this shop when my air conditioner broke. The manager is nothing short of amazing, helpful, knowledgeable, and explains everything to me. I never felt that I was being taken advantage of being a woman with little knowledge of mechanical issues. They are fair and always willing to help. Even sitting in the waiting room, I can see he has this relationship with everyone who comes in and many repeat customers when they experience new problems.

I will *only* bring my truck here. I love this place. Theyve fixed everything from my brakes, my shocks, my AC belts, my rear differential, my tires and more.I had an oil change last week and went out of town. When I came back, I noticed a huge stain under my truck--the new oil leaked out! The technicians and the manager (Ken) gladly took a look at it. They found the leak, fixed it and didnt charge me anything!!!If youre looking for a place to bring your vehicle, this is the place. You will notice the difference with these guys. All of them are extremely friendly, very honest and will do anything to make sure you leave happy.
