Office personnel are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Techs are respectful with the care of the vehicles. Prices are reasonable especially with coupons. Only downside is no appointments, but I highly recommend them.

I will always take my Honda or any car to them. I was told I had a leak thought perhaps transmission or oil leak, neither. The owner thoroughly ✔ checked. No charge stated he appreciated our repeat business. I will always go there shop for anything needed.

While the manager was very nice and even reached out to me I couldnt give anymore than 2 stars. The manager was out the day I went in for service. Everyone in there was below professional. They completed half the job then 3 hours later came in to tell me they couldnt do the rest. My windows would not work after getting truck back. Then a worker came out as I was getting back in my truck to ask if they could look inside Bc they dropped their E-cig inside. Gross. As I was inside waiting on my truck I seen one of the workers come out and tell a costumer their car was complete and ready. The costumer looked at worker and said you didnt even rotate my tires thats what he was there for. He sat there watching them the whole time.

My car needed alignment. I went to this place, waited 4 hours to get it done and the manager came out to tell me that his mechanic did a 1/2 alignment job. His mechanic couldnt not take the bolt off so he only did the rear alignment and left the front as is. Then he said that they needed to replace part at cost of $500. I then came home, bought the part for $15, replace it, and all I need is to take it to a honest mechanic to do a simple wheel alignment AGAIN. NEVER do business with precision again.

Not only did it take them 2-2.5 hours to do an oil change on my car. They did not too off all my fluids like the deal I had offered, I had to check before leaving and have the tech who serviced my car fix it. Of course he made excuses the whole time “oh stuff like that is easy to overlook.” But they did not over look my cabin air filter which they tried to charge me 60$ to replace, including 30$ For just labor. I told them no since that’s way too much for an air filter, they put my old one back and now my glove box won’t close. I will not be returning, this place is seriously unprofessional and lacking in care for you or your vehicle.

First time using this place upon one recommendation, described issue (as best as possible)- my car was kept for 2 days, spent almost $1k and car was returned to me with the same problem I had taken it in for. Very unsatisfied with first experience, as a young woman living in a college town I see this as sexist/age scamming- should have stuck with Firestone. Will be returning tomorrow to have my car serviced and repaired correctly as I have paid for it to be.

Stark difference from the last time I wrote a review. Service was just as great as I always remember it being. Last time must have just been a fluke. This time we were in and out in a short amount of time and again, the service was just as good as it has been the previous several time Ive been to precision. Josh always make sure you are informed of any wait times, and does his best to keep things moving at his shop. Well done. Keep up the good work.

We bought a car from carmax and have the max care warranty. Something happened to the engine of the car. We called carmax to set up an appointment. They told us to go to precision tune auto because carmax is backed up and precision is taking the overflow. When we brought the car there we witnessed an employee raise an suv with a roof rack into the garage windows, shattering the windows and raining glass all down the suv. Fast forward to our car. They couldnt fix it because it was still under the Ford warranty so we would have to bring it to Ford. When we picked it up there was a nice new dent on the drivers side that wasnt there when we dropped it off. We asked them if they could fix it since it happened on their property. They said only if the person that dented it told them about it. 🙄 It looks like either a door was opened into it or maybe a piece of equipment hit it. Of course no one said anything so we were told sorry and that was it. So our car sat there for days, was never fixed and left in worse condition than it was when it got there. Not happy with this place at all. The workers are careless and your vehicles are not safe here.

They replaced my water pump and timing belt. They were affordable, had the job completed in a timely manner, and very professional. I will return and highly recommend them. You wont regret it. Great service!

I called to see if I could make an appointment to get an alignment on my truck. The lady said no they only do walk in. Ok, no problem. I brought my truck in around noon, dropped it off. Came back at 5 and no one touched it. No phone call or anything. A few days later I dropped it off again, this time earlier. At 4pm they called and said I needed to replace my lower ball joints before they would do the alignment. Gave me a price of $900. So I took it to Cape Fear muffler and they said they couldn’t find any play in the ball joints, but I had them replaced anyway and it was $300. Then I took it back the next day to get the alignment done. Again, they had it all day I had to pick it up the next day. When I picked it up someone had opened a car door on my 2015 Yukon XL that didn’t have a scratch on it. When I got home I called and asked if anyone had reported it and of corse they didn’t. Overall horrible experience.

This has been my go to place for years. Always efficient, only once had to go back, but because they advised a trani check first. Great prices with knowledgeable staff. And you can walk to Waffle House across the way for coffee and a waffle!

Always do an amazing job with my car and are always very straightforward with me.

They were nice to me and kept me informed along the way as they ran into problems. it was much more expensive and time consuming in the end than I expected but hopefully the car wont give me any more problems for a long time to come.

I have a hybrid car and I had a full synthetic oil change and the tires rotated. They looked my vehicle over from top to bottom said it is running tip top. I can definitely feel the difference after having the service done. Its running much better.

I went in for a brake inspection because they were making awful sounds. They completed the inspection and told me I needed front brake pads and rear brake shoes stating my fronts were at 4mm. They also told me my brake fluid needed a flush because it was brown. They quoted me over $400 so I decided to get a second opinion. I went elsewhere to get a second quote. The second location (meineke) told me I didn’t need anything done to my front brakes and even showed me they were at 7mm. They also showed me my brake fluid and it was clean and not low at all like I was told. This place tried to take advantage of me and charge me for services and parts I didn’t even need. Will not be going to this company ever again as they can’t be trusted.

These guys are great! The only place in town (that I could find) who was open on a Saturday and able to do motorcycle inspections. Got me in immediately and got me out the door expediently! I highly recommend this place!

Precision Tune is the only place I will take my car in the area. I normally stay away from chain shops like this, but this shop has fair prices, timely service, and honest employees that arent trying to rip you off. I highly recommend this place.

Great place to get your car fixed and oil changed

Updated 12/2020 5 stars to 2..I can no longer suggest that women use this location. Although I still appreciate 2 of the employees assistance given in the past, I have experienced more problems as a result of faulty repairs in the past 12 months than any one customer should ever have to deal with.The work that they have done on my car in the last year has caused me multiple issues rather than fixing the ones that I have paid thousands of dollars for them to fix/replace. I spent so much time having warrantied items fixed or replaced that I gave up on this location and drove 220+ miles to another PTune . They had to replace a cooling fan that was improperly installed by a mechanic here. That fan has caused a cascade of other failures in my newly installed AC which has caused me to be without AC in the sweltering heat. It pains me to write this review but the quality of the work at this location has plummeted.Twice before getting an oil change I asked for my power steering fluid to be checked because to my eye, the fluid level looked low. There was no mention of there being an issue when the work was completed.. What was a small leak, (as I learned from the out of town PT) has now morphed into a driving hazard that could have been avoided. Had it been checked and the issue addressed last year, I wouldnt be scared to drive my car now because it is no longer a small leak, and I dont know exactly what is causing the fluid to deplete so rapidly. A newly replaced part of the new AC system is rattling loudly but as its under PTs warranty I will have to once again drive the 200 miles to get it fixed.I have done everything prevention wise that I was cautioned that I should to care for my car. My trust in the Wilmingtons location to repair anything has been broken. Its a bitter pill considering how much trust I had given as a female customer.

Went in to get my inspection done, they had it completed very quickly and as always the staff was very friendly. The cost was also very minimal and they changed one of my lights that went out. Wouldnt go anywhere else, they always take care of me!

It is not easy finding a good mechanic shop. We are fortunate to have found Percision. They took our rust bucket and helped us get it road safe again. By helping us prioritize what needed to be fixed, we were able save money. I trust these folks with my vehicles. They have not led me astray this far. They are all really sweet (and funny).

These guys always take awesome care of my daughters car needs. She is a college student who is on her own in Wilmington.They have taken care of her car for numerous things including just checking the tire pressure to replacing a transmission. The person at the check in desk was very courteous AND wearing a mask. The price was great and the speed in which the service was performed.

Kendrick, the man working at the front desk, was great. One of the friendliest guys Ive ever met in a customer service position. The work was done quickly and well, and Ill be coming back. The price was right, too, though I have found that Ill sacrifice saving ten bucks for a smoother experience. Precision Auto of Wilmington, however, has a low price and a great experience. Also my dog liked them, and shes a total petting prude.

These guys were awesome! Josh went out of his way to make sure my headlights and tail lights were all installed correctly and the electrical problems were a mystery but he solved them. I would highly recommend them!

Josh was very courteous to me and all the others in there. I had to wait a second to be checked in because a couple other people had just got finished. (He addressed me when I came to the counter explaining about the others in front of me.) He was so great with the elderly gentleman in front of me! Made sure he had someone to take care of his front brakes because they would need it soon. After I was checked in, I walked to a place nearby for lunch (per his suggestion) and it was excellent! He called me as soon as my car got done. It was perfect because I was just walking back from lunch!! I’ll be going to them from now on; not the dealership!! Easy to get to and the genuinely care about servicing your vehicle!

Trustworthy auto repair at a fair price with great service too!

Initially brought my vehicle in for service & to refurbish headlights. Since the headlights were so old, the refurbishment didn’t help as much as we hoped so they recommended purchasing the parts & they could do the install. Gave a great rate & did an amazing job! 5-star service for sure! Highly recommend them!

Honest and great service

I have the car max extended warranty on my van brought it in for what seemed like a quick compressor change and to our surprise we threw a rod. Josh and his crew processed the claim found us a new motor had us in a rental car. They kept us in the loop with our warranty claim and made this a quick and easy turn around

I wanted to wait a good six months before writing this review, just in case I was wrong and they were right. Turns out I made the right choice to go elsewhere for my auto repair. The $1100.00 engine overhaul Precision Tune had written up to stiff me for was in no way, shape, or form needed. My cars been running like a charm after a $250 coil replaced by a far less crooked mechanic. You like these guys at Precision? Ill let you send their kids to college.

They have always taken care of what my car needs at a fair price. The few times they have not had an part I need in stock, they have been able to refer me elsewhere or have the part delivered quickly.

Josh, the manager of Precision, was more than helpful and went out of his way to help me. What I thought was going to be an easy repair, became a nightmare. Not only did Josh make sure I did not drive my car that was definitely not drive-able, he called around to different part stores to help me get the best deal, and even discussed the repairs/costs with my dad when it became overwhelming. Good service. Went in for a new alignment and needed a couple new front tires. They took a little over an hour to do it but that’s understandable. I would recommend this place to a friend or family member for auto care. Pricing seems reasonable and they don’t try to upsell you to products you don’t need like many other auto shops. Everyone working there was very down to earth and seemed to be enjoying their job.

My Mom and I have been going to this Precision Tune for several years. The prices are straight forward and honest.We have family in Charlotte that own an auto mechanic and big rig repair place. When we have to pay for something more than an oil change we sometimes call them. They agree we are getting a good price for the services rendered from Precision Tune.I especially appreciate the time they take to explain things to my Mom who is a bit older.Not a bad place to spend a few hours if youre stuck either.

I was able to be seen same-day and my car was ready 2 hours early. Everyone was very polite and friendly. I would definitely recommend!

I have taken two vehicles to precision tune in the last week. I used to go to Midas due to the convenience factor of them being right across the street from my house, but from now on I will be taking all vehicles to precision. Great prices and great work. I highly recommend them.

I chose this because of all the great reviews on trustworthiness, but unfortunately it proved otherwise. I went there for a routine oil change and they told me that my brake pads were being ground down due to my calipers and told me I need to replace them. Unfortunately I wasn’t in the financial position to do both so I started with the brake pads. Recently I went to the dealership and asked them to check the calipers and brakes thinking I will have to replace them, and they said the calipers were in perfect condition. I, as a woman, am over going to an auto care center and taken advantage of because of my lack of knowledge. Luckily I saved $900 because I opted out of a false diagnostic.

SERIOUSLY, AVOID THIS PLACE! Read the other reviews but also consider mine. The deal is they reel you in with a sweet coupon ($16-$19 for oil change). Well in the $19 oil change Premium service, they also check/top off fluids and rotate tires. Well they rotated the tires alright but broke one lug nut stem completely off and didnt tighten the others on my rear wheel. I nearly lost the tire on my way home and got into a serious accident. AVOID people, seriously. How could you call yourself a professional when not only do you break off a lug stem, but also forget to tighten the rest of the lug nuts? Serious issues with quality. I also have no trouble believing they mess with your vehicle so you have to return to have it repaired. My wife and I both noticed things happening to our cars mysteriously after the fact we took it to this place. AVOID Precision Tune S. College in Wilmington. Dont fall for their good deal on oil changes like we did (and countless others).

My husband and I have been taking our cars and truck to get inspected and worked on for years. We had work completed on 99 Camry, 95 Ford truck and today 95 Camry. The prices have always been reasonable. Today, unfortunately we got ready to leave and the car would not start. One of their mechanics came out to try to fix the problem with the battery. He was not able to fix it and he went into the shop and came out with a battery. He installed an Interstate battery. I went in to pay for the battery and the response was Merry Christmas. I got into my car to head home and cried. Thank you Will and your staff for the wonderful service you have given us over the years. We appreciate all of you. Thank you again. My back passenger tire was measuring low so i went in hoping there wasn’t a hole in the tire. The manager was so helpful! It’s very busy on Saturdays but this man was patient and kind with everyone who walked in the door. I will definitely be back! Great customer service!!

I went in to simply get a oil change; Only to find out i needed brakes..4 new tires and other things. I was stressed because there was no way I could afford all the matinence it needed. But the staff was great. Josh was very transparent with me about what to PRIORITIZE since I couldnt get it done all at once. I dropped my car off, when I picked it up it operated like a totally new vehicle. I was THOROUGHLY impressed. Staff even called me to see if it was running to my liking. I assured them that it was perfect. I would NEVER take my car else where again.

We have been taking my cars to this location for years. My most recent visit will now cause me to NEVER return. My sons car barely made it to the shop. When they looked at it we were told that the radiator and thermostat needed to be replaced for $662. We had a coupon and were able to have the cost reduced to $600. Unfortunately, we are in a difficult place right now with only one person working in our household and the $600 was an extreme stretch but we told them to fix the car. We were told that its possible the head gasket may be blown and I was concerned and asked a family member that is a mechanic to contact the shop to see if I should spend the money. After speaking to them, he agreed it would be okay. The work was done and as soon as my son left the shop the car was overheating and when they called my husband they said You win some, you lose some and this time you lost. You can bring the car back for a new engine that is normally $4000 but we will knock off the $600 and it will only be $3400. NO THANK YOU. So, were now out $600 that we didnt have and down a car. Sadly, my review would have been 5 star prior to this experience because every other experience with Precision was great. Now they have lost my business after 5 years and 3 vehicles. I hope it was worth it.
