Stopped in to acquire some local wine, saleswoman was on the phone for over 10 minutes talking loudly to whomever. Wanted her to impart some of her knowledge on wine, but her MAIN OBJECTIVE was talking incessantly on the phone. One customer came in bought some alcohol, she couldnt pause her conversation to ask if he found everything he needed or ??? all she stated was $78.00. We went next door to Publix and dropped over $200.00 there on their wine and the staff there were friendly. Dont waste your time with this store people, this small business doesnt deserve your money, or share her knowledge, - just a waste of time.

Coming from New York, Im accustomed to knowledgeable wine sellers, but all New York experiences pale in comparison to the customized treatment I got from Amber at The Wine Seller this week! I called in, stumbled through some semi-clumsy descriptions of the kind of wine we like, and Amber was back over e-mail with a personalized list of recommendations, each accompanied by a really expressive tasting note. We ended up getting five bottles, broke into the first last night, and it was everything she promised. Makes us wish we lived here. I would be at this place every week.

A bit late in doing this review with all that is going on! We recently called The Wine Seller and spoke (by happenstance) with Amber. We asked her to pick out 15 bottles of wine, gave her a brief description of our tastes in wine and a price range. The wine (and also some of their wonderful cheese) was on our doorstep within a couple of hours. Amber did such a great job - so far we have truly liked every wine we have consumed and we even took pictures of some of the labels to be sure to reorder those, although it is so interesting to get a selection of new and undiscovered wines. We have shopped here in the past and always felt that their suggestions were on the mark and best of all never felt that we were ever pressured into purchasing expensive wines! Great local shop and deserves our support during this terrible time for all small businesses!

Dont let the name fool you. Theres a remarkable beer selection tucked away in the back half of the store. Cold cans, exotic bottles and rotating taps for on-premises enjoyment at a little bar space or growler fills. Cheese, crackers, sandwiches and even a reasonable selection of cigars.... the staff all seem to love their jobs. I can see why.

I really enjoyed my time here. The selection was vast. All my questions were answered to my satisfaction. I really liked the layout of the store. Theres a bar and plenty of seating to enjoy their charcuterie and beverages on tap. Heads up. They do not serve/offer domestic beer. You wont miss it!

This is a hard review to write, because its hard to really put into words how I feel about this place. Its more than your local beer/wine store and deli, its like the embodiment of the local watering hole vibe as you can get.Its truly an amazing place. Great beer, company, and conversation. Stop by to grab your favorite beverage to go, help you find a paired selection, or stick around for a pint. Its always a good time.

Best craft beer selection on the peninsula! Constantly adding new choices at reasonable prices. I only wish they opened stayed open a little longer, or opened at all on Sundays.

Came with a wine lover, and she likes the selection, but Im a beer lover and Im the one reviewing! Great beer selection, but every beer for which I know the price of where I normally shop was $1 more here, thus likely ALL beers are $1 more. Why? It makes no sense... I would only buy something here that you cant find somewhere else.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff! We came here to pick up some local brews to bring home for friends and family. The staff knew the product and had a real passion for it. Offering up samples of their favorites to help us decide on what to purchase. We came home with some incredibly delicious choices and next time were in this area well be sure to stop in!

Great find for beer in the strip mall while shopping for groceries and other necessities. They have a solid selection of craft beer and even have a little bar inside. I wasnt shopping for wine, but they also have cigars and cheese! Friendly service too.

I currently live in the Washington DC area but I have family living literally right around the corner from the wine seller location in Williamsburg.So,I visited the place looking for a sweet white wine, specifically moscato. I know very little about wine, therefore decided to ask the cashier the difference about 2 moscoatos that I found on the shelf. The cashier was not able to tell me, as he said he didnt know. (I was a bit confused as the name of the place is called the wine seller and you would think the employee would be a bit more knowledgeable). So I ended up taking 1 of the 2 bottles I picked up. It was soooooo good,I just knew I had to go back next weekend for more. Well, Friday arrived once more and I wasnt gonna make it on time before they closed, therefore I asked my cousin to go purchase a bottle on my behalf. My cousin said he was unable to locate the bottle,but I was so looking forward to the wine, that I had to make sure myself. So I decided to call the store directly about 15 mins before they closed. The employee picked up and I proceeded to ask about the wine (I didnt have the exact name to the bottle,but I did have an exact description: sweet white wine,moscato in a green bottle with bumble bees around the neck of the bottle) well the employee, said we dont have it. I was expecting a however, we should get more next week or something more than just we dont have it I decided to ask one more follow up question,in hopes that the employee would deliver a more customer friendly response. However, the employee did not provide any further information. It was like pulling teeth, trying to get a decent respond from him. After about 6 questions, I finally got the answer I was looking for: the wine buyer should be be back on Monday,please check back on Monday . OMG. Needless to say, I ended up going alll the way to newport news in order to purchase the 6 bottles I was ready to buy from the wine seller location. Had I experienced a more customer friendly experience via the phone, without a doubt,I wouldve waited to speak with a wine buyer and come In that following weekend .sadly, Bieng that the customer service was not friendly nor helpful, the drive to Newport news is one worth taking.The timeframe of this event was the weekend the GM got married. I know this because in one of the many unhelpful responses the employee gave me,he mentioned we are closed tomorrow,no one will be here tomorrow because the GM is getting married
