This was our first trip to the Virginia Beer Company. It was Sunday and growler fills are half price on Sunday. They open at 12:00 and we were able to get there and back before the 1:00 slate of football games started. A food truck was in the parking lot and there were a few snacks for sale inside. We opted for a growler of elbow patches and a 4 pk of Friends of Dorothy. There was a dog-friendly, outdoor area.

As always, awesome and amazing beers! Free Verse with mango orange is out of this world!!What is truly impressive is Gorgeous. This beer is absolutely the bees knees!!!Cannot ask for more friendly staff whom are knowledgeable and passionate about craft beer. If you are lucky enough, may Lexi be your beertender!

Fun place to listen to live music. Super chill atmosphere.Indoor and outdoor seating available and a food truck is usually on site.Great selection of beers and they have flights available.

Stopped in for the Get CHEESEY food truck. Plenty of parking, beautiful outdoor patio . Pleasant helpful staff. I had the classic grilled cheese and it was super. I pass by all the time during the week and see a new food truck daily. Im super glad I stopped today. Definitely recommend and will return!!

Wonderful atmosphere, great brews and friendly staff! We attended the Memorial Day Celebration with live music presented by DJ Kudlz with Billy Joe Trio, Smithfield Dash, JoshWrightMusic and more! It was a fabulous day, with fabulous people. The outside patio area is a perfect place to eat, drink, chat with friends, dance and listen to great local performers! We will certainly be back.

Great brewery in williamsburg. Bartenders were great. Though it felt like a morgue in there. Need to add some energy. Try the Ripe as Rain

My girlfriend and I were vacationing in Virginia around the time of the 4th of July and I found myself in want of some craft beer. The Virginia beer company is clearly at the top of its craft. I enjoyed a delicious IPA and even got the privilege of talking to one of the owners. He even bought me a round! We enjoyed ourselves listening to live music and at the end of our session the owner let me depart with a special members only glass that Im fairly sure nobody in California owns. Moral of the story if you find yourself in and around Williamsburg Va and are in need of a superior craft beer. Stop by and buy a pint. Youll find top notch beer, a great atmosphere, an even better people.

Stopped in to grab a beer on the way out of Williamsburg. I cant really provide a proper review because this was a quick stop. However, I really liked their outdoor patio area. It featured for pits, plenty of tables, a small stage, lights, and hosted a good truck. The truck was serving Asian/Mexican fusion food, and it was good, if expensive. The staff inside were friendly and knowledgeable. They helped me find what I needed, and they were pleasant to speak with. I will definitely come back here next time Im in town to get a little more in depth experience.

We have been vacationing in Williamsburg for years and I cannot believe we just now found VBC! We had an amazing time - awesome live music, great beer, delicious food at the food truck. The place was buzzing with a good vibe. Employees were incredibly nice. We had a beer order mistake and they took care of it, no problem. Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed it, especially our two yo who was dancing around and saying hi to everyone.

Unless you like IPAs or fruity beer...not the place to go. Had no choice but the stout which I did enjoy. Gentleman at the taps was very nice but more interested in chatting than noticing a line and trying to move things along. Second and last time visiting.

Ill admit Im more of a rum kind of guy, but the atmosphere of this place was very welcoming and while they were kind enough to let me sample 3 different beers before I bought my 2.

I was very impressed with the beer crafted here. Another thing that really impressed me is the way they have incorporated food trucks into the outdoor beer garden. Its great for food truck business. Also it keeps a variety of food choices around while the Company focuses on making great beer!

Great beer, great service, clean environment, and a neighborhood feel. Drink local! So many revolving beers youll never get bored. Or try out the staples that are always available; either way you wont be disappointed!

Good beer. Super friendly people. Great space and live music to boot while I was there. IPA heavy rotation during my visit, mostly NE style with a few exceptions. I will be back the next time Im in Williamsburg.

Could not have been more pleased with our visit. Awesome selection of delicious brews. I had a flight of 8 ranging across the spectrum and enjoyed each variety--no duds. The food truck (fooditude) was delicious (and served the biggest hotdog my kids have ever seen). Left with two to go--their summer and no ragrets. Happy we stopped here.

The beer was awesome! Plenty of room inside and outside. Looks like the building used to be a car garage so theres super high ceilings and plenty of space. Looks absolutely beautiful, super modern. They let me keep my truck in the parking lot overnight (thank you!!) And they are just super friendly! Fire pits outside (a must) and the growlers come in a really cool metal thermos. I almost bought one just for the thermos.

Good place for beer. It has the brewery aesthetic, and lots of neat games inside. Food truck outside had good food. Got a free sticker from an inside connection - dont expect the same! Lots of new releases all the time. A good place overall.

Weve always been fans of VBC, so had to give the brewery a try. Didnt disappoint. Good selection with a decent food truck for food options. Big indoor space with A/C and is pet friendly.

Somehow the name Virginia Beer Company hadnt been taken yet when these folks founded the company several years ago.Its a great taproom location with many different options, and a great flight of 8 pours for $15 at the time of review. $15 is a bit steep, but that there is a fight option at all is great since its becoming more and more difficult to find a breweries who offer that.Kudos to the staff who are on point, even with a crazy busy space on a Sunday night!

Great spot for larger parties with plenty of seating inside and out. Food truck for some grub parked outside. Beer is better than average, and they have some interesting tweaks. Liked the IPA with Brett, which wasnt very funky, but had plenty Brett on the nose. Bourbon barrel aged stout was pretty good as well. Great place to hang out if you are in Williamsburg.

Great beer, great space, and a wonderful musician out there tonight, and a great food truck. Virginia Beer Company is in the top tier of all breweries in Virginia: their plum gose was amazing, the Keep Virginia Beautiful IPA was great, and the pilsner was nice and easy drinking. Love this place!

Phenomenal beer and a great atmosphere. Plus, there are always food trucks out front, and Ive yet to have a bad experience with any of them. If youre looking for a place to relax and enjoy a nice cold beer, I highly recommend VBC.

Wide selection for any taste but I prefer darker beer so this is the time of the year to net some of their limited releases. Especially the Evil Santa Spiced Milk Stout! Great place to relax, everything is distanced, well marked, food trucks usually on site, fire pits and a good staff!

Locally owned and incredibly supportive of the community, the staff are incredible and the outdoor space is perfect even on cool evenings with the gas fire pits, cant recommend enough!

The Virginia Beer Company is a fantastic place to enjoy a quality craft beer and a delicious food, from the rotating food trucks. Seasonal beers are offered so that you will not get board with the usual line-up. Sours, Porters, Stouts, Ales and IPAs are all on the list.Its also centrally located in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg in the Historic Triangle.

Enjoy their beer, but what brings me back is the atmosphere. Always relaxed and feel welcomed. I also like that they do a lot with and for the community.

The atmosphere was great and beers collection fabulous. I drank all those samplers, accept #6 which not good flavour. If you are planning outside sitting during evening, dont forget to bring bug spray.

The beer was fantastic. The triple verse might be my favorite IPA of all time.

Great local brewery!

Stopped in this evening to check it out. Approximately 18 beers on tap along with a food truck parked out back. I stuck mainly to a few lagers and some lower end pale ales, which were all pretty tasty and ranged from $5-6 for a 16 ounce pour. Inside might have been a bit crowded with the COVID dynamic, but Id still highly recommend anyone in the area should try it out.

Free Verse IPA, New England IPAs and their Saisons are all fantastic. I dont really enjoy the darker beers so I havent tried them but my wife does enjoy the Elbow Patches Oatmeal Stout. Their location is awesome and there is always a food truck. These guys are killing it!

I have been drinking Virginia Beer Company brews since they have opened. They have a top notch brewer and he is cranking out some pretty great beer. The have very solid core beers, a great barrel program and very approachable beers for the folks that are just dipping their toes into craft. So no matter where you are on the spectrum, there will be a beer for you.I have been to the brewery about a dozen times over the years. The staff is always knowledgeable and energized to discuss their beers. Great place to hang out for a few hours any day of the week.We actually hosted our wedding reception at the brewery recently. It was an amazing venue. Luci and her team were easy to work with, they made great vendor suggestions for food and tent rentals. We had an amazing day and a lot of it had to do with the VABC team! Thanks again!
