Yost Auto repaired my broken mirror and fog light, checked and replaced transmission, brake, a/c fluids at a very reasonable price. They were very honest and communicated with me through the process. Very happy to recommend them for your automotive repair needs.

I was having several issues with my car in Nebraska, and the shop I visited was going to charge me over $2000 to make one repair. So I drove all the way to Yost, where I knew my parents take their cars. They fixed all the problems with my car (for over $500 less), and when I drove it off the lot, it drove smoother than it ever has since I owned it! The only problem is now the only mechanics I trust my car with are 5hrs away from me haha. If I have any more problems, Im definitely going back to Yost!

Quick overview: Yost has a good system going, very organized. But, I took vehicle in to get a diagnostic, unknowingly to Yost what diagnostics I had already done. I.E. I took my own compression multiple times on problem cylinders. After a few hours, I was told that I had bad compression on cylinder one and cylinder three and that it was the culprit of bad valve guides. I was very suspect that that was incorrect, so I told them I had already done tests and that there was no issues I knew of with compression. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt.Fast forward to now: I have gotten tired of trying to diagnose the issue myself, so I took it in again to a different mechanic. Told him all I had done, to help compare notes he took compression and said compression was perfect in all cylinders and there was nothing wrong with the car mechanically, and believes it is electrical with a wire underneath the intake manifold since moving that wire a little kills the car engine and also can fix the misfire depending on the direction. Ghost electrical shortages.Long story short: Yost has lost its touch from what it was in the past. Honesty is key with mechanics, and I hope it was an honest mistake in some way, but in the context of the encounter I doubt it now. Yost has misfired on this one, and I cannot in good faith recommend them anymore as it would have been a $5000+ fix . Steer clear..pun intended.

I brought my car in for an oil change and a new tire and they fixed it up within the morning and didn’t overcharge me. They gave me a lift to and from my dorm while it was getting fixed up. Super accommodating, friendly, and helpful. Will go there again when I need to.

I have not found another car shop so committed to costumer service and satisfaction as this group. Each member has integrity. I’ve been going to them for 6 years and don’t plan to stop anytime soon!

Got the starter replaced on my Honda last week. They quoted me a lower price than anyone around town. They also had a driver that took me back to work and came and got me when my car was done. They did great work and were very friendly and knowledgeable. I also noticed they topped off my oil and put air in my tires while they were servicing my car . Something they didnt have to do but its a nice touch. Shows they care about both me and my car.

I was referred to Yost Automotive by a co-worker of my wife. I called with an emergency of sorts and was met on the phone by Brian. After listening to my issue he agreed on my preliminary diagnosis and referred me to a towing company to bring my car in. The gentleman from the towing company was incredible. I can see why I was referred to them by Yost. I drove my car to the shop where I was greeted by Brian and my car was immediately taken in to be worked on despite how busy they were at the time. While I was there I was treated to some nice conversation from several of the employees, offered something to drink and given a company calendar. Within 45 minutes I was out the door at a price I was more than happy with. They have just earned themselves a new customer for sure.

Best automotive service experience ever. Good customer service in the automotive service industry is difficult to come by, but Yost surpassed my expectations. I received a very fair price on my repair and much less than a competitors bid. I received a ride back to my home and they picked me up from my residence after the repair was completed. With a young family, this service is so helpful. Henry was very polite and provided great conversations on our car rides. The front desk manager was very helpful (Jonathon?) and they even provided a demonstration with the part that was replaced. They have gained a new customer and I will spread the good word about Yost.

I have been bringing our vehicles to Yost for maintenance and repair for last ten years, in that time we had no major problems with our vehicles and what minor repairs that were needed were done quickly and efficiently. We have purchased our last three vehicles at Yost Auto Sales and are happy with the vehicles we purchased.

Finding a full-service automobile service company that has experienced, factory trained, competent technicians working in a facility that allows them to comfortably work their craft, outside a dealership, isnt easy. It seems the Yost family has created such a place. The difference is Yost pricing is fair and reasonable - and the staff is friendly and professional.Toward the end of 2018 I took them two vehicles with out-of-the-ordinary issues. A Chevy Impala that seemed to need a new right-side hub but once replace we realized the problem went further. Getting late, they put me in a loaner car so they could stay on it in the morning - having it ready the same day. I then took them my Toyota 4Runner for a vibration when braking only above 30 MPH. (not rotors or pads) After adjusting the rear brakes, multiple test rides and thorough inspection, the experienced Toyota factory trained tech walked me under the vehicle and showed me 2 or 3 bushings that were the culprits. They wrote me up a quote for that and a timing belt replacement. Ill be back... The relief is knowing Ive found a great place - a competent place - for my auto repairs.

Yost fixed my car, but I found they charged a very high labor rate and markup on parts. Their labor rate is $105 / hr which is similar to an actual car dealership. Additionally, they charged a 13% markup on $225 worth of parts they installed. In total, I paid $750 for 6 simple spark plug connector changes (4.5 hrs worth of labor plus parts). I called the ford dealership after Yost made the quote learning they would have only charged me $550. I could have saved $200 taking my car to the ford dealership, however, didnt want to have my car towed again :/ so just took the higher price. Yost does offer quality service, but their prices are out of line for an independent repair shop and Ill probably just stick with an actual dealership in the future.

I want to first thank you and your team for great customer service and for looking out for the safety of my family. I had never heard of Yost before as I no longer live in Wichita. I needed some maintenance done on my truck and chose Yost for one reason; their great customer reviews! You all lived up to that reputation during my experience. Bryan came stayed late on Christmas Eve just to fix my truck. Further the entire family came in the day after Christmas to give our truck back to us and get us heading west on time. I also would like to point out that there is something to be said about a manager who is on the floor with his team and can explain to you first hand what is happening with your vehicle; that is what I observed Bryan doing. ***update from my initial review. Unfortunately, I had a questionable experience here and I haven’t been back since. They overfilled all of my tires by 15 pounds the last time I had an oil change. Thank goodness I have sensors on all my tires otherwise I probably would have blown one on the road! They weren’t very apologetic and frankly didn’t believe me until they checked the levels themselves. Surprise surprise... no thanks... not going back here.Had a really great experience here! Everyone is really welcoming and they didnt try to find something wrong with my car that wasnt wrong if you know what I mean! Plan on returning for other car services!

Yost Auto is a family business that always over delivers. They are my families go-to for anything automotive. When I think of Yost Auto, honesty and integrity come to mind. Best auto service in town, period.This summer, my AC Compressor went out. I had it replaced by Yost a year before. The compressor had a one year warranty, and it had expired by little less than a month. Yost looked at it and said they never saw a compressor have that problem so quickly and honored the warranty. This is why my family always chooses Yost auto, trustworthiness is hard to find.

Have taken both cars and pickups to Yost for anything from A/C overhaul to dead batteries. Everyone treats you courteously and professionally. The shuttle to work in the morning is much appreciated and the work done on my vehicles has been very satisfactory. My experience was over the top with Yost. My air-conditioning system wasnt working and I came to them to fix it. They asked if I could keep the car there & had a driver within the company (Tory) drive me home. Such a lovely young lady. They figured out the issue & called to ask if they could replace the resistor & told me the cost of doing so. When I returned to pick up my car & pay my bill, they asked me how does this amount sound? Which was a total that was 10% less than the amount over the phone. Was extremely grateful!Wouldnt recommend going anywhere else but Yost. Great experience! Fast Service! Care about their customers!

In my opinion, the staff at Yost Automotive is amazing. They have always allowed flexibility regarding scheduling, prices are on point with my expectations/research, but most importantly have gone above and beyond from the smallest of repairs to major catastrophes. I have taken all my vehicles in for years and they have always been great. But this last time I took it in they went far beyond my expectations. We brought a car in for a very intermittent problem and they finally got it to act up after a day or so which is typical when you take a car in to not do the problem for a bit. They traced it down and fixed the part that seemed to be the problem. They kept it and drove it for a day. No other problems presented. We picked the car back up and it almost immediately started acting up again. So we took it back in and they found a couple other issues that were missed or didnt present the first time. They replaced all of the parts. When I asked what the bill was they told me it was on them since they didnt get it done the first time. I didnt even ask for a discount or argue with them to try and get something off the price they just offered. I have never had a company just offer to take care of something like that. Then a couple of days later we realized our remote start didnt work. We took it back to them thinking it was just a quick fix that it may not have been put back on since they didnt even know the remote start was present when they had it or something like that. They spent 2 days working on the remote start, which was apparently a cheap aftermarket system and was wired very haphazardly. (It came with the vehicle when we purchased it) We didnt expect them to fix a system that was installed wrong and so poorly from the beginning but they got it all working and took care of that bill for us as well. Needless to say I have sent cars to them for years and I will continue to send them there. All of our personal and company vehicles get all maintenance done here and they have never steered me wrong. These guys are awesome. A special shout out to Brian... and Joe is always awesome to!

Car deposited on May 7th, 2019 for repair of exhaust cam solenoid. Company diagnosed multiple issues with car and charged diagnostic fee when I chose not to have those issues repaired. The car worked fine but I wanted to remove the check engine light. When I picked up the car it was immediately noticeable that it was not functioning well.I attempted to resolve with the business multiple times including a desire for them to repair the issues they introduced and then when they refused. I had to go to another mechanic to resolve, they chose not to pay the fees of that resolution nor issue an apology.I am frustrated that a working vehicle was introduced to the shop and a basic test to determine functionality of the vehicle was not performed and followed up with lack of desire to remedy the situation. It went to the point that I filed a BBB complaint that they downright lied into and posted other customers information along with after the fact handwritten notes in to corroborate their deceit.

Incredibly decent, kind, Christian establishment that will do their best to get you running properly for the least money possible. Their business shows that youll make more from good service and quality advice than from running up their customers bills. Never steered my family wrong

I saw these guys do some very outstanding relationship building with a young lady. They could have charged, or even over charged her for a minor service when she came in for an alignment. Instead, they explained everything in plain English and told her that’s not the service she needed at the moment. And then, they didn’t charge her for the minor service! Really impressed me with how they handled themselves. Good job. I would definitely recommend to friends!

We have used Yost Automotive for years, most recently when our car died the day we were going to fly to Seattle for a wedding. We had it towed there on Thursday afternoon, and it was ready before we were home on Monday. They do great work!!! We recommend them to anyone who needs a mechanic!

Simply outstanding. Have an 1986 vehicle which takes a special eye, and these folks are straight up, honest, very communicative, and fair. Diagnosed a problem the dealer has missed for 2 years, but solved a nagging issue. It was not inexpensive, but they communicated it up front, walked me through options, ran into some challenges when they got in, but called to let me know and when it was all done - they came in less than the original estimate and probably 1/3 of the dealer pricing - all with a pleasant attitude and friendly approach. In the service industry the most important trait is trust, and they have mine.

My family has trusted Yost for several years. We love their wonderful customer service! Their knowledge of cars and genuine interest in their customers welfare makes them the best in the city. I highly recommend them for any work you need done on your car.

I took my car into Yost to have my transmission looked at. They came back with a price that was a little beyond my price range. I called around town and got a better deal (well see). When I told them I need to have my car towed out of their facility, they were nice as pie and did not charge me an arm and a leg to cover the tow from where the car broke down and their time invested in looking at the car. Even though I went with another transmission place they were still very helpful. Just all around good people. I will definately go back to Yost. If I had the money I wouldve had them do the job.

Excellent work. Been coming here since 2005. They will tell you if the work can wait or needs done now. They suggest things but never push. The owner treats everyone like they are family. They may not do everything you need but what they do is always right. I have never had to come back because they didnt get the job done right.

Called over to Yost because our 2013 Ford Explorer was not starting, we initially thought battery and was told by Autozone that it wasnt the battery but the alternator so after a few google searches and several reviews we end up with Yost. We called and spoke to Brian, who was an amazing help, he quoted us some prices so we decided to bring the car in. From the moment we walked in every single employee was very friendly and so personable, they interacted with my myself, husband, and daughter throughout our entire time we were there, they got our truck in super quick and within 15 minutes came out with the best news we can hear, its not the alternator but only the battery. They fixed us up within 30 minutes for a great price and we could not be more happier. I HIGHLY recommend Yost to any and everybody and although I hope to not have an future car issues, if I do and we are in Wichita, this is our go to #1 place!
