My 5 star review was when it was a locally owned shop. I do not know the service/quality since it has been taken over by a chain. Hopefully it is still awesome.

Something has changed as of late. The service was good and the people that worked there especially Crystal were very nice. Unfortunately something has changed and after calling back at least five or six times and being promised that someone would call me back with an estimate on my vehicle all I got was apologies but no action. And it wasn’t even a new estimate. It was an estimate that they had already given me and all I did was call back to find out what the amount was because I had missed placed it and was ready to have it done. And we’re not talking about a small job the estimate was over $2000. you would think someone would bother to call me back.

I have so many good things to say about my experience at AAMCO and 13th and Maize. Dealing with Cristal was refreshing and she is so good to her customers. Ches is very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to explain and show me what my issue was and he was able to fix the problem for good. I’d highly recommend them to anyone needing a trustworthy mechanic to work on their car!

I came in within 10 minutes of a phone call, needing a lot of work done on my vehicle. Cristal got me right in And taken care of, explained my warranties to me and had very fair prices compared to surrounding areas. She even offered me beverages while I waited and held conversation with me which helped ease my Nerves. I would recommend AAMCO to anyone and will most definitely be back! Plus she was very easy on the eyes ;-)

Amazing Professional experience.I brought my vehicle in from out of state and just concerned that I wouldnt find someone reliable enough to help. Cristal & Ches definitely made me feel at ease by explaining everything in detail. Im almost 10hrs away and ill definitely recommend their shop to my people. I went to this shop for the first time since they took over the facility from Unruh Automotive Service. Unruh took care of my 24-year-old truck for 13 years and did an outstanding job. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for AAMCO. I had them replace two batteries in my truck. They quoted a price for a high-end battery, but when I picked up the truck, they put in one high-end batter and one cheaper batter, which is totally unacceptable. They also failed to clean the battery contacts, and they damaged the connector bolts (used pliers?) for the battery cables. Finally, they failed to replace one of the bolts that holds the battery in place. I give them 2 stars because I was able to drive my truck home. Oh, they also did replace the wrong battery after I complained.

I am a first timer and I will be back! I called this shop when Meineke set up my appt and ended up not having my part when I came in at my appt time. I decided to get services done elsewhere. I called this shop and spot with Cristal and she got me in immediately to have her technician take a look and confirm what I needed done was really it. She was able to get me in right away to repair it and it ended up costing less than what the other place quoted. Cristal was personable and fun to chat with while I waited. The technician had my car fixed in 30 minutes! I was in and out. Thank you for your conversation and your honesty. I truly appreciate it!

Couldnt be more impressed. Honestly, thought I needed a new transmission and was ready to fork over the money for it. Ill admit i hardly believed their diagnosis that it was mainly misfiring but oh boy I was super wrong. They saved me big time on repairs. A solid recommendation for sure.

Starting from the office wonderful lady at the desk is always pleasant and tries to help in anyway possible from getting you the best value to the technicians who try their hardest to fix everything you need. Wont be back. They lost my info and so couldnt call me back. Gal up front told me someone must habe thrown away the paper she had it written on.WHAT?! Tried to update me and charge $850 to replace a coil and suggested new plugs, wires and clean intake. Uh, no! Then quoted me $350 to just replace the 1 coil. I turned them down and when picking up my vehicle was asking the gal about them not having my contact info. She couldnt have cared less. Will never go back. I miss the Unruh that used to be there

Theyre horrible. Had my truck for over 2weeks. Couldnt figure out the problem. Said it would be cheaper to replace the motor with a used one for 1500bucks. Had it towed to auto smart. Turned out to be a restricted fule filter. Unruh left the exhaust disconnected, the water pump loose, pulled off the spark plug wires and stuck them back in the wrong firing order, left the radiator hose off. Its not the same owners and would stay away from them

Went to AAMCO for a transmission repair/replacement. They had the vehicle for 6 weeks, and 24 hours after getting the vehicle back it caught on fire and was totaled out. They have refused to work with me on the issue, and act as if a transmission is incapable of causing a fire.Their lack of care could have cost me my life.

You walk in and you are family.... we will never go anywhere else...They go over and above and I highly recommend them!

I had another local mechanic for years that had told me that my upper and lower ball joints needed replaced very soon as they were in horrible condition. I didn’t have the money to do it for about a year, and assumed my ball joints were about to fall apart when I made it in to Unruh. I broke the first rule and instead of seeing what they found I told them I had $1,000+ to repair what another mechanic had told me was in dire need of repair. After a few hours received a call that they thoroughly inspected everything and it was fine and that they did not recommend the repairs. I begged them to make absolutely sure and inspect again because I had $1,000+ and wanted to fix my truck. An hour later they called back and again repeated that the repairs were not needed.This spoke volumes to me. Here I am, practically throwing $1,000+ at them, but the ethical thing to do is what they did.I will never take my vehicle anywhere else as long as the leadership in place currently stays there.NEW LEADERSHIP IS IN PLACE AS OF 2019. I have not returned.

Did a very good job fixing my car. Shared info. About my car that was very helpfull for keeping my car running well. Just very busy. So you have to make an apt. Ahead of time

Update: Ken at the front desk is gone now. The owner or whoever has replaced him is disorganized and challenging to communicate with. I was flat out blown off when I stopped in to get a body shop recommendation and despite the man’s promises, no one ever followed up with me. The customer service has really fallen off a cliff. —This is a great place to take your vehicle for maintenance or repairs. Simply put, they treat customers and their cars right.

They had my truck for 2 weeks. Said it needed a new motor. Took it to dealership and found half of the stuff they disconnected, they they never reconnected. Got it running and it has a clanking noise that wasnt there before Never going back

Fraudulent as they lied about the repairs my car needed. They wanted major repairs on the front end rack and pinion steering. It was fine. Just needed new tires and an alignment. Avoid this location unless u r an experienced mechanic. They are not a reputable business.
