Just wanted to write a nice review I had a bad experience turned good. I explained to the manager what was going on my previous time I was there and she helped my out. Thanks for helping me get my propane filled. Will definitely come back. You have to remember to be patient these days with companies being short on staff and having less qualified people makes it tough but there are still some good people out there.

Would give zero Stars if I could. This location claims to offer propane refill, however every time I come they say its either broken or that no one there is certified to do it. Yet when I call to find out if its working and if someone is available to do it they say yes of course. I show up and wait in a mile long line just to be told that they cant. The employees never even offer so much as an apology for the inconvenience of wasting my time, and are actually downright rude. Will never return.

They advertise state of the art indoor temperature controlled units. Well thats not the case I have a indoor unit and for over the last 2 weeks the inside of this building has been extremely hot well over 90+ degrees. The whole reason we pay the price for the indoor climate controlled unit is we have temperature sensitive property stored within. Not to mention the indoor garage area looks like pigs live in it. It hasnt been cleaned up in over two weeks. I called management which said they were aware of the problem and that there is nothing they could do that they had a company out to look at it and said it was fine. I call bulls@#t on that. As I own a hvac company and a building of that size as several hvac unit on the roof if one unit was faulty the others would make up for the one not operating. I feel I am totally being lied to. I use to shop at the KMART that was there before it was a UHaul and it was always nice and cool. Seems to me either management is follow what corporate wants or its just 100 percent pi@# poor management. I will be contacting corporate in the morning. UHaul did a really nice job taking a old building and giving it a new life and making it very nice looking and convenient but if you dont give customers what they pay for I dont see a bright future for this UHaul location.

Dont EVER, EVER, even EVER rent anything from this location and crew. Complete fups. 35 min. wait for service even though I had checked in previously (only 2 people ahead of me). Was unable to return the trailer via website as it is not practical and was not functioning (see other complaints). Therefore, took time stamped images, etc.. of the return, and and attempted to contact 1800gouhaul to return but would not answer even after a 53 minute wait.Called the next day, spoke with employee (have her name and call logged) and she stated I was all set and all is good product was returned. I then receive an invoice for an extra days rental along with a service charge for them returning the trailer (predatory charges). Call back and they mention they have no record of it being returned even though the trailer is physically at their location and in plain view.Now in the process of traversing customer service (which is the only way to secure a refund) and their wait time is in excess of an hours. The cost of waiting an hour and reduced productivity versus the actual refund is a wash. Great way for them to scam folks out of money with non-justified predatory charges.DO NOT RENT ANYTHING FROM THESE NON-FUNCTIONALS!!!

This location is currently under construction and has a huge Yes! Were open sign in front of the building with an arrow pointing to the FRONT door. I spent 10 minutes out front calling and trying to figure out if the place really is open as all you can see through the front door is just an open space under construction. After circling the whole building i finally found the customer door on the side of the building with a small sign above it. I mentioned to the employer currently on staff that there should be a sign on the front door pointing people to the side door but all he said was he cant do anything about that. There was one other customer driving around trying to figure out if the place was open. Once i solved the mystery myself, i pointed the other customer to the same hidden side door.

***BE CAREFUL*** This location is infested with cockroaches. I lost about 3k total in property that was damaged by them which was not reimbursed even though the management admitted that they had an infestation. Two other units were infested as well. The management said they would take care of me then went back on their word last minute. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

AVOID THIS UHAUL CENTER AT ALL COSTS! Matter of fact just avoid Uhual all together and go down the road to penskee because I had to wait in the parking lot for an hour at 10 at night because they put the wrong key for my truck in their lock box and I wasent able to get ahold of customer service until an hour later. On top or that the Uhaul app wasent even working correctly. The app never let me upload any photos of the truck or dash when I had to in order to proceed with the pickup after they already charged me more than a hundred dollars. The least they could have done is say sorry or give me a refund.

This place is great!!! The guy there and woman on the phone both were friendly and great to deal with. I did a one way from Texas, when I got there to pick up the truck they had five people in line and took me 2 and a half hours to get my truck. Which caused a major domino effect in all my plans with a ride dropping off rental car, storage, and hotel. Not being able to get things done til the following monday days later, I wasnt able to leave as planned and got stuck there. That first night had to go 100 miles to find a room from being so late. I explained the situation to them in Westland on the phone she talked to the manager,....and they waived all the late fees and miles from the other uhauls issue....WHAT A BLESSING !!So when I got back into town later than I told them on the phone, because of storms that I wouldnt have hit if I got the truck on time, I told them I wouldnt mind paying for the 2 extra days I used up here in town unloading...THEY SAID NO EXTRA CHARGE, YOUR GOOD TO GO !!!! MAN THIS PLACE IS GREAT !!! I for sure will be renting from them again in Westland.P.s. Penske charges way way more than uhaul. They wanted almost 4 grand for a one way, which Id never pay even close to that......uhaul did it for just over a grand.And the 15 foot box hauls more than the bigger truck in weight.

Rented a car transport Wednesday for Saturday. Got a call Friday evening that they didnt actually have one. Was told that another spot did and theyd transfer my rental there. Its 930am and the current store is trying to find one because THEY DONT HACE ONE EITHER.Uhaul will lie to you about having the trailer and will continue to lie to keep you on the hook. Useless. Absolutely worthless.

Staff were very friendly right when I walked through the entrance door.Main office (the area where you can purchase supplies, look at storage unit sample spaces, register) was very clean, staff were well knowledgeable of supplies and storage information.

I mostly dont give reviews especially negative reviews.Stopped buy to get propane yesterday and pressed the service call button.Waited 10 minutes and never heard a thing.Went inside to see what was going on and found only one person with a line of three people.Nobody in service department for propane fills.Why have propane fills if you dot have anyone to provide the service?Another RV said he had been waiting for 20 minutes and gave up.If you dont have the personnel to fill propane at least put a sign up stating so.

The company messed up and didnt put in the appointment I set up over the phone, and it seems as though there is a minimum of 30 minutes of waiting on hold whenever I try to call. To make matters worse, there is only one person who can make decisions and use a forklift and we had the bad luck to call when they were sick. Certainly not their fault but overall our experience with this location has been extremely frustrating.

Encountered what could have been a major mishap that was likely a rare glitch in the self-service system. Though it was 11:00pm on Christmas Eve, somehow customer service aided tremendously in securing our rental after hours. Everyone on this Uhaul team did a phenomenal job in resolving the issue just in time for my non-profit to service the homeless for Christmas. They definitely compensated us for the minor inconvenience. Were impressed and grateful.

This was the worst experience ever. The staff is rude and completely disrespectful. They processed my card for $105.58. Then have the nerve to tell me they dont see the transaction. When speaking to Corp. They tell me that they can see the transaction, but they didnt take it. I paid cash for my van rental. Yet here it is over a week later and I still dont have my money back. Plus was asked to give them 48 hrs to look into the matter. Its been 4 days and still havent heard anything. We will never use Uhaul again after they way we have been treated and the fact is they stole money out of my account and refuse to put it back. We have used Uhaul for over 20 years and never again. I even have two free months of storage I could use, but I am letting that go too. This is not a company I want to ever do business with again.

Paige the so called “owner” has a very bad attitude and told me if I could act a human. Using in inappropriate words.Very bad attitude from the beginning of our encounter.Very rudeU Haul of WestlandSupposed to be the Owner.Really was mad because I didn’t wait for her yesterday to get a crate ready that was called in ready the day before.Crate was not ready today either.She don’t even deserve one star. 😒
