I havent been in a JCPenney store in probably 30 years. Im not a mall shopper and it wouldnt be at the top of my list if I DID stop by a mall. But Ive moved and my shopping options have changed. I WAS SO IMPRESSED! I spent over $200 and could have easily spent more...when I was just walking through to get to the mall. LOL. The styles and inventory has greatly improved since my last visit. It seemed like a store for old people before. Now, Ive either aged enough to appreciate this store now (quite possible) or the store has changed its image. Anyway, Im a new customer now.

I was able to find what I needed! Customer Service was great!!

We went to shop for a dress for homecoming for my daughter. We found a beautiful dress at an awesome price, and the sales clerk was so helpful letting us try the dress on even though it was close to closing time, so grateful she made an exception for us.

The store was very clean. However, lacking in employees. I wonder how much they get paid. I bet they would have more, if they paid more and their customers wouldnt have to stand in line for an hour.

I managed to find a very nice outfit that my husband loved to death on me. Its well laid out. The dressing room was really hidden on the back wall though.

Very disappointed with the Photo/Portrait department. We have a big family and wanted to do a photoshoot as a gift to our mom. However, the lady said she can’t do it because we have “too many people”. I repeat, we have a big family - ten kids! This is discrimination against big families! Ew what a horrible service you have! Would never recommend this place to anyone!

If you see an item online and they carry the item in store apparently, they have two different prices for the same thing. I dont want to open a JCPenney card I dont want to buy the same item online you have it in store. I have cash in hand but no way in hell will I pay $100 more . When I asked the associate why the price difference they didnt know or care, I asked a second associate she was cold and couldnt care less. Well now I understand why JCPenney is in financial disarray, poor pricing policy, rude associates if they continue to go this way they will be out of business soon. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

JCPenneys has always been a great store to shop

I used to work there 10 years ago. A lot has changed since. It they had good customer service, but I went to the mens section of the store and there wasnt much of a selection of Arizona jeans. The shelf looked pretty bare.

I would like to thank this associate at Jcpenney on Friday. She help me out a lot when I came in she offered to help me a shopping cart for my stuff. She is very sweet and cute when she offered me a shopping cart so i wont drop anything and her name is Cecelia Gonzales

Marie at the jewelry section was so helpful and patient. Since the store was closing i had to come back and she even remembered the pieces i was interested on. She even tried on of the necklaces for me to take a look at it and help me see which one was better. Great prices and sales. Im just so glad i stopped by.

Use to be better. Could use an update. Valley fair has gone severely down hill.

I submitted an online order and missed the email telling me when it was ready to pick up, so I almost missed the pickup deadline. I live out of town, so I wasn’t going to be in the area for another four days or so. I called the store, and Ashlee was super helpful in extending the deadline, giving me another week to get into town and pick up the items. I really appreciate her help!

The Stafford dress shirts are the best non-high-end dress shirts I have found. They are reasonably priced and wear very well.

I really like shopping here, but the jewelry section is a nightmare! I got a promise ring for Christmas and gave it to them to size a month ago now. It is very hard to get in contact with them, as whenever I try to call the store, it says the call is unavailable. I had also called them with a question and they said they would call back with an answer within 20 minutes. That never happened. It has been a very frustrating experience.

Nice service great clearance

Placed an order on line the night before, had an appointment close by and dropped by early. I explained that I knew I was early and was willing to wait. She called the order picked and he retrieved my order right away. In both cases, no attitude. Very friendly and sincerely appreciated my business! Great customer service!

Yesterday my mom bought a pair of shoes in size 9.5 from $70 to $42. Today we came back to buy the same brand, style and color for my sister in size 10 and its price is $70 we asked why and no explanation was given. I still have the purchase receipt of the first pair. Its the one on the left in the picture.

I absolutely hate JCPenney’s. I tried to return a gift I received on Christmas and they were only willing to give me maybe 15% of what the gift was actually marked for (inside store credit.) To me this is the highest level of all scams. The shorts were marked at $36 and JC Penney only willing to give me $5 and some change and said that was the lowest price in the last 90 days. I highly doubt it! I’m sure they will be going out of business soon.

I never have been someone who grow up shopping at JCPenney or even knew much about it. I sort of had a preconceived notion in some cases but they were the minority in suburbs I grew up in.I have always heard people mention JCPenney when I have complimented them and asked them where they got their jacket, or pants, or purse. I always remember thinking, wow! I have to check that department store out.Even though intentions were there I never truly got around to it in the case of it possibly being out of the way. Once I started actually getting to look around the store I realized how much cute stuff they have. Like, seriously, blown away. They even have stuff for my dogs!I love their clearance 50-70% off zone. It is incredible the deals you can find there! They separate it from men and womens and possibly plus sizes too I believe as well as athletics. Sephora is in here and they dont have as much as the actual Sephora-- they definitely have my most shopped brands. Theyve got the perfume, the Sephora brand makeup, benefit, urban decay, NARS, and more.They even have a salon which I didnt know for the longest time but love the concept and overall experience of being able to accumulate points for getting my hair done that I can use on clothing.. amazing! They also always seem to have super good prices for services as well as promotions.For the most part the salon products seem to be continually on promotions. I have seen buy one get one half off as well as clearance on salon products ranging from 25-70% off!They even have 25% off of Styling products and they sell some of the best curling irons and blow dryers. Ive seen coupons for services as well as products in the jcpenney catalog and some other places but yeah, not half bad and this location isnt super crowded like others in Salt Lake City.

My wife loves this place and it grew on me. Everything is always well priced and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

I went to the store to pick up three packages from the Amazon Locker, as I always do. When leaving the building, I asked if they could please give me a plastic bag before I left to help me out carrying the packages. A young lady refused to do so and left me speaking alone. I went to the other man standing in customer service and he told me he couldnt give me one because it was against company policy. I told him that even though I was not buying anything at the store by that moment, I was a customer because Im using the locker services of Amazon and they pay for it. I just got out from the building knowing that, even though this is my closest JCPenney store, Im not spending a single penny in that store ever. Rude and bad customer service.

Dressing rooms are closed, but only certain days. The signs make it seem like only that one is closed and even says there are others nearby.

Prices have shot up. For a pair of boys shorts I found in another store for $13.; in Penneys they were $38.. there is nooo way!

I walked in the Utah West Valley store and saw a very nice leather Jacket for 59.99. I was so excited, but my excitement was short lived when I found out it was $160.00. I even showed the sales rep and I showed them were it was 59.99. They kept on pointing to the price tag and insisted it was 160.00. I am upset by the fact the jacket is displayed on the same rack that the sale appeared on. It looked like it was on sale. The sales rep even said people confuse the jacket for being on sale. They did nothing to make sure that the display was misleading.If something is on sale do not put the jacket on the same rack if it is not on sale. This is why more people shop online.

I used to work for Penneys the customer service isnt what it used to be. The prices are still great and the clothes are great quality. I still go to Penneys whenever I need new clothes.

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful considering the Air Conditioning is broken in this store and the employees are cooking in there. Apparently it has been broken for weeks and none of the employees know when it will be fixed. Come on JC Penny take care of your people.We cut our shopping trip short because we were sweating in our masks.

The people were not helpful, the line was long and not one of the cashiers could apologize for the wait or even acknowledge the rest of us customers in line. Process are extremely high especially for black Friday sales.

Great products, great prices and great service. I am a fan of JCPennys. I feel they they have wonderful brands and amazing prices, especially with their coupons and sales. I also love the shoes selection. I wish their was a location closer but the store in West Valley seems to have a large selection, clean and organized.

All departments Ive dealt with have been great without complaint except the jewelry ddepartment, roughly around the beginning of December. I gave them my wedding ring to get it sized, I was told it would be back at the store in about 3-4 weeks, its been about 3 months and I never got a call, email or any communication from them regarding any update on the ring. I since then have tried calling the jewelry department to get further update multiple times just to be told its not ready 3+ times, customer service in person is good, beyond that (via phone calls/email) its pretty hard to get anywhere. And info regarding orders is pretty inaccurate, not a bad place. Just a very bad experience with the jewelry department

Usually have a full and wide selection, especially for bigger guys like me and competitive prices. Only thing Ive had an issue with a couple of times is no clear indication where returns are supposed to be handled. Had to make returns at different locations and the desks were basically hidden from normal sight. Just an inconvenience but one that I feel could be easily rectified with some basic signage

My daughter got a eyeglass prescription when we called to try to get the prescription they were not available and we have to go to a second very disappointed in communication

The salon offers exceptional dye jobs. Get the deep conditioning! The one where they apply heat. It helps make your hair soft and smooth.

Wonderful place to shop. Very clean with friendly employees. I was asked several times if I needwd help. When I finally did need help, the employees did a great job of helping me. Very kind and courteous. Things were layed out nicely where you could see what you were trying by. Easy in and out of the store.

They used to carry 4x for bigger people now only online, its a long drive for me and a waste of time because their website shows everything in stock even when its of stock, once you go to select the size then its not there, so you waste time looking at stuff that you cant buy.

The ladies that helped me was slow,and trying to buy a diamond ring was a joke,had a Pennys card that was still active but could for some reason difficult to get it approved,spent almost a half hour there walked out with no ring.

You can trust that JCPenney has quality goods especially for men. Also you cant beat the discounts.

I appreciate that the workers dont hang over you asking if youre finding everything ok. The prices are relatively decent plus coupons are available online almost always. The quality of the inventory is better than others in the area. No complaints here.

Everyone who works there is really polite and helpful. It had everything I needed and some very good prices. It was a little disorganized which is the reason for 4 stars.

Im all for shopping closer to home . This Penneys store though seems to lag behind in fashion, availability of product, customer service, and store size and updates. This is unfortunate as I like Penneys products. The jewelry seems to be the same stock as before Christmas. Nothing new for spring, and not much selection. The womans section has dwindled in variety and styles. I seem to find more of what I like at the Penneys at the District. It would be great if this store could be more like the District store in South Jordan.

Got a great deal today, 3 pair jeans reg 40.00 on sale for 9.00, used my 25% off coupon and 10.00 rewards. I only paid 14.00 total for 3 pair pants.

I took my mother there who is 80. We spent at least 45 minutes there and only heard one song in English. I went to the fitting room and there was a man sitting right next to the door. I thought nothing of it. I figured he was waiting for his wife. I came out and he was still there. I went and found my mother and shopped moreMy mother wanted to try some things on and so I pointed out where the fitting rooms were and she asked in a concerned tone of voice, where that man is sitting? Lo and behold he was still there. If it made my mother uncomfortable, it could have done the same to other woman who decided not to try things on and so not purchase the items. It may very well have been harmless but not a good feeling all around.
