Today we called for the first time to this company in need of emergency oil . The young lady on the phone was professional and took the time to listen and to help us with our situation. They went above and beyond to help us and set up oil delivery quickly so that we would not go the weekend with out oil. We had been with another oil company since we bought our home and have been faithful customers. When we called With this emergency they did not take time to even see if they could help us out . We will be changing oil companies. Thank you again to the young woman whom I spoke to and her manager.

We are new to the area. Bay State Fuel was recommended by a neighbor. They service our heating and air conditioning units. They are professional and reliable.. No problems.

Worst oil company ever try to rip off loyal customers inflating labor chargesWhom I choose to install my furnace is not of bay state oils concern does not make bay state oil any better of a company by gauging estimations a few days before Christmas. The owner was also very rude and unprofessional when calling me. Most customers would receive better service after 10 years of loyalty. They are also not forthright prior to visiting your home be sure you are told what you may be getting charged just for them to walk through the door and give an estimate. I actively looking for another company.

We had to replace an oil tank at our rental property last year during the Thanksgiving holiday and their team handled it like the professionals they are. Driver parked in our driveway and refused to move vehicle. Told us to wait 10 minutes before he was moving. Disrespectful company. Liar very poor customer service.Would never use them. Called to complain and the manager said too bad. Your driver is a liar. You did not listen to both sides. You took the drivers word and just hung up. You should not EVER allow an employee to be disrespectful to ANY person for any reason. If he was ok with moving the first time, then it should not be a problem for the second. Rudeness is not ok...ever. Hope we never have to deal with your company again.

Bay state fuel oil is a great service company. My daughter’s heat was out and they were there within hours to fix the heat. There was a problem with the expansion tank. It was full of water and required some grunt work to drain it and replace the tank. I would highly recommend the company from a response and quality standpoint. Service is excellent and you will be impressed with the quality and price.

Called for an emergency service and they refused to provide service due to not being a customer. Having two babies at home and temperatures at 36 degree, they did not care.

Bay State Fuel delivered oil to a friend in need that had none. It was stormy conditions and very cold. The driver that brought the oil was very pleasant and professional I was told. I had to purchase 100 gallons to have a delivery which I guess is policy, however it was much needed.

I have been a customer of Bay State Fuel Oil for approximately 20 years for oil delivery and maintenance of the furnace and systems. During all this time, I have never had a complaint. Automatic deliveries are always on time, and the furnace technicians are competent, courteous and available when needed. Two years ago, my ancient oil tank started leaking. A call to Bay State brought one of the owners immediately to assess the situation. He declared an emergency and called in all of his technicians from other jobs and within a very short time, they had pumped out the oil, removed the old tank from the basement, and installed and filled a new tank. A very impressive operation! Obviously, I highly recommend this dependable company.

The technician works with 2 furnaces, hot air and hot water. Each time the technician works diligently making sure everything is in order. We had Bay State Fuel service us in another community and we were most happy that they would service us in another community further away.

When I was unable to get a lasting fix for my furnace from 2 other companies, $600 worth, I called the manufacturer for help. They told me that Baystate is the only local company that has had their techs trained by the factory, or something along those lines. Gave them a chance and they fixed it first try. Have been using them since. Yes it costs me more for fuel, but Ill make due with that in order to get a trustworthy maintenance.I give them a 4 but only due to their higher prices, service is an easy 5 star.

We came to this company when they bought our old oil company. I have never regretted staying with this company. The service team is A -1 and has helped us with AC and plumbing problems as well as the usual burner service. We had 2 emergencies, pressure release valve at the rental and an odor investigation turned to cracked furnace replacement this past winter. Both times the work was done as quickly as possible and at a fair price.

This is was 2nd time dealing with their attitudes! I thought the first time might’ve been an off day but nope! Just piss poor attitude about everything. I was called at 8am and was told the driver was here (which I was unaware of, I live on the second floor and they never told me what time they were coming) I got an attitude the entire time from the woman on the phone. She’s god awful and it’s awful for business to have someone like that representing you. She gave me an attitude the entire time I was on the phone with her and if I didn’t have everything the second she was ready she was a gremlin! The drivers were actually wonderful! But save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else.

We have been a baystate fuel customer for 20 years, and have nothing bad to say about them. From their options of budget or pre-pay plans, to Roxanne who is our service tech...they have been awesome. Since we got central A/C they even have a plan to service that unit as well. I would highly recommend baystate fuel.

Bay State Fuel has been servicing our oil furnace for many years. They are the best in the business! One Christmas (yes Christmas!) we had an issue and they sent a technician out right away and he replaced a valve and we then had heat! How can you beat that for service. I dont understand the negative ratings??

This is a great service. They calculate(from the weather) when you need oil and they automatically come. They have electronic billing and you can pay on line. Nothing goes through the mail. :-)

Have been with Bay State Oil for over 30 years, they are the best! When I needed help with my daughters house it was Bay State that showed up.

The handwriting was on the wall in the beginning. Poor Customer service and Management. Called about 8:30-9:00 am and spoke with a Chris about becoming a new customer. Was told that they service only part of the area that I live in and she would need approval for me.?????? Anyway, she told me everyone was in a meeting for the next couple of hours. The entire day went by with me calling several times to find out about an answer. It concerned me that no one is available to ask a simple questions. Chris told me that she would make this a priority to get an answer. I emailed the management, and no answer. End of the day, I called and told her that my current company is looking to get me on budget, so I needed an answer.to switch to her company. She asked someone who told her yes, they could take care of me. Next I am awaiting paperwork, and Chris told me she would mail it out Tuesday am. Today is Friday and paperwork mailed out yesterday. I did email and ask about who the office manager was and got no response. I called and asked about an office manager. The girl was a bit curt but transferred me to a woman who told me her name was Laura. After describing what a potential new customer went through, and thinking, they dont really care about my business, I felt I should touch base with the office manager. Laura was not pleasant on the phone when she answered it. She said, this is Laura. She clearly was not happy to speak with me, and was on the defensive immediately. Poor phone etiquette for a company owner. I told her that I had no compliant with anyone being rude to me.Laura made several excuses about her staff, (not sure why) and became very, very heated with me, finally telling me that the business is hers, and that her family is more important to her than me, and that I am being difficult and they do not want to take me on as a customer If I am difficult. So basically, Laura took no responsibility for making a new customer feel not welcomed and not wanting my business. I do not like being told by a company that I am looking to work with, that why will follow through with anything, and they do not. Laura was not pleasant on the phone, did not welcome the call in a friendly manner and became defensive immediately, she did apologize, but was not sincere as she made several excuses about vacations, family issues, etc.. etc.. I let her raise her voice and continue her tirade towards me then asked her if she felt better. A business owner does not necessarily mean that someone knows good customer service or how to take responsibility, or be professional for that matter. Laura (the owner) spoke to me so unprofessionally, and was completely out of line. I would not recommend doing business with this company ever!It is unfortunate that your response does not make sense or address this complaint, and I would suggest that in the future, it might serve you well to take responsibility for you and your staffs interactions with potential and current customers.
