There are good bike shops and bad bike shops and then there is Jack the Bike Man. This place is fantastic. I took my bike there to be fixed after some other bike shop had my bike for over a month and failed to fix it. They also have an extensive selection of both new and used bikes for you to peruse and they run a childrens charity to ensure that less fortunate children have bicycles to ride.

I wanted to do Volunteer work here but im not vaccinated and one of the workers said he mandated all his workers to get vaccinated in order to keep there jobs .. And fired someone for having religious purpose for not being vaccinated ... Do all volunteers must be vaccinated also ?I understand safety but what about Freedom of choice ..( FYI )I did some research and His family was Slave Owners so maybe he doesnt care about peoples Freedom

Great service, very friendly, and reasonable ! My back rim was bent and needed to be replaced . They accomodated us quickly, it was finished and like new in 20 minutes! Would recommend this place to anyone.

I went to Jacks shop to have my Bicycle rebuilt due to the thought of helping his cause, and I needed the work done, or Junk the Bike.I have had to bring my bike back 3 times or more due to the fact that the gears continue to slip, and there is a distinct grinding noise while riding.I live in Palm Beach Gardens, and it is a chore for me to haul the bike back to his shop, which I have done 3 times or more. his staff should of fixed it correctly from the get go.I explained my case to Jack, asked if his shop would pick up my Bicycle which they charged me a substantial amount of Money to rebuild, his reply was that nobody on his staff had a drivers license, and he could not get it for quit sometime. Told me to bring it in to have a specific member of his staff look at it. Personally, I am no longer willing to haul my bike down to his shop on Florida Ave, North of Belvedere from Palm Beach Gardens. I would not recommend using this shop. I am going to cut my losses, and have a Professional near my home correct the mistakes that Jacks Shop has made.

Strange experience. I do not recommend. I called to ask details about how can my bike be fixed. They told me will be ready on the spot and a price. I got there and they said they will probably fix it in one or two days for a higher price. I called the third day and nobody knew anything about my bike. I came in and asked and the bike was in the same spot I left it, they said they cannot tell when they will have time because they have many clients. If that’s a problem for them, I took my bike and found a place called Bicyclery-they fixed it in no time, with a way better customer care and at a lower price.

Jack was a life saver for me. I had recently gotten into bike riding and I looked all over for a bike. Being a competitor, I wanted to ride at a high level and my bike was a Walmart special incapable of the 30 to 40 miles I was riding on it daily. I went to three shops they had 1 or 2 bikes. I went to Jack and he had so many bikes to choose from. I got a dream bike and I am riding longer and better. How often do I need a tune up? I am a P.E. teacher and I plan on incorporating bike riding in my classroom. Do you partner with the schools?

I 100% completely recommend this bike shop. Jack the Bike Man is an honest business that you can trust. I have been a customer in the past and was very happy with my service there. Then, while I was on Christmas break, my university donated my bike to Jack the Bike Man without my permission and without giving me any kind of notice. I went to shop and thankfully my bike was still there. The employees were so kind and helpful. Not only did they return my bike to me without charging me, they also are going to re-assembled it for me. It is so refreshing to see a business that is kind and honest. Thank you very very much.

Besides there overpriced bikes had a 2 buck spoke installed for $40 friggin dollars! I was so irate... couldn’t believe it. Called other stores 2 quoted buy the spoke I’ll put it on for you free the other 3 was under $25.00 3rd time I’ve done business with them one more time I say to myself... never again!

We have bought multiple bikes here over the years. Recently I went in because I wanted to see if I could get a racing bike. There was a lot of activity and attention around one of the techs who seemed like he was also the tour guide. Fast forward 30 minutes and I had two bikes, both appropriate for what we were looking for. The young man helping us was Ilia from NJ. HE had a wealth of knowledge about bikes and fitting. You could tell he loved his job there and the responsibility they had given him based on his people and tech/bike skills. Everyone wanted a piece of him from the GM to the other other clients to the volunteers working there. Net net, he patiently helped me find me what I was looking for, he expediently and expertly fitted me and fine tuned the carbon fiber bike I bought. What a great guy! Instantly likable.What a great place. Highly recommended. Its the kind of place that if you had an issue post sale, you would be comfortable going back and knowing they would certainly work with u to remediate the issue. Go there. Help the kids charity too. Awesome business

Gets bicycles for free and resell at high prices, and you have to buy a lock.my bicycle was stolen with lots of bicycles in our building. may have ended up at the bike man. told the manager/owner my sap story, but price did not change. did not care.i understand they fix the bikes possibly with free help.better off with on line or neighborhood offerings.

Wanted to like this place. First time to west palm beach and was excited to rent bikes. Most of the people working here looked and acted like we were in their way for trying to give them our money to rent bikes. Got a few eye rolls when asking some simple questions. 90 bucks for 3 days for some super rusted old beach bikes. Maybe next time don’t say you rent bikes and actually be nice to the people who want to do business with you.

I donated my time to exchange for a MUCH needed mode of basic transportation. After weeks and over 30 hours invested, the WORKING STAFF, which are AMAZING people, chose a bike for me. After personalizing the bike, the owner came to me and told me that I wasnt getting that bike. He claimed it was too expensive of a bike for me. I even offered to pay the difference in value between what he believed I was deserving and what the expensive bike would sell for! Ultimately, that bike was given to him for free! The people that gifted it to him won the bike and the organization that bought it, did so to give away!I, on the other hand, put 30+ hours of my life that Ill NEVER get back! In my opinion, the bike was only EXPENSIVE... To me!I do take away a couple of things that Jack couldnt keep me from taking... First, the satisfaction of meeting all the fantastic people that work there. Second, it was comforting to know that my work will ultimately make people smile!

I have a special needs son who cant ride a typical bike and I went to Jacks hoping to find something for him to ride like his brother. They took the time and found the perfect bike and had him test it out I cried watching him working with my son and being so patient. They definitely made this mom and little boys dreams come true.

REVISED DOWN TO THREE STARS FROM FIVE. I try to give local businesses my business even if I have to pay a premium. So I stopped by to pick up a tube for my grandsons bike but they wouldnt sell it without the labor. It wont be my first stop anymore. And I doubt Ill be donating them any more bikes. Im off to Walmart...Ive seen Jack the bike Man Drive by a few times in our neighborhood but then I noticed their large Warehouse so I went in. This is a nonprofit that provides bikes to low-income children, and they have an incredible selection of used bikes in top-notch condition for purchase. He also has a fully-featured shop with multiple stations for working on in repairing bikes. if youre looking for a bicycle or a tricycle this should be your first stop in the Palm Beach County area.

Bad experience elsewhere led me here. So another bike shop tries to fix my sons bike. Well that was an endless money pit. Jacks tech fixed his brakes no problem. And when he recently stripped his bottom bracket, (other places said throw the frame away) Jacks tech actually saved the frame. No other shop would even try!

What a great place, I was using Bike America but the individual attention you get here at Jack the Bike Man is amazing. They fixed my flat, got a spare tube and he tuned up my bike all for $22. I will only come here for all my bike service needs.

Wow! What a trip to Jack the Bikeman! Every kind of bike used but New Bikes Jack sells Sun Brand pretty exclusively and very pricey. I was asking about adult training wheels for a regular adult bike. No Bike store so far considers them reliable for an adult, with balance issues. Oh ! Well have to change to different Bike. Jack has plenty to offer its a must see just on volume alone. In Palm Beach County they will come pick up any bike you would like to donate just call them. Jack is totally a friend to every boy or girl who needs a bike and cant afford one for one reason or another. Help if you can 💝!

I was looking for a wider seat for my bicycle. I googled and found this place. As soon as I walked in I was greeted. They install the new seat and had me out in 10 minutes. I was really happy with my experience and anytime I have a problem with my bike am going to them.

The bikes are excessively over-priced, think $100 minimum for the oldest peice of junk they have gotten donated for free. Most bikes cost more than they would new. Pays his employees bare minimum and has literally thousands of bikes just sitting that no one can buy

I suggest to visit Yelp for a review which well describes Jacks behaviour and personality !I visited his old and new locations over many years, many times to donate money, bikes, other locomotion devices and leftover parts from my customizing projects ! I met and congratulated Jack a few times and was never impressed by his attitude, but I forgave him due to what he does ! I wonder whats his background and maybe he was a secluded shopman before becoming an awkward public celebrity .Id hope he saves his manners for the Ritzy Palm Beachers hes going to entertain on December 16th 2017 ( as stated in invitation card I just received) for the 10th anniversary/(surely) fund raiser . (...Isnt December 16th a little late for the Christmass giveaway ??I guess Jack has bike factories on speed dial !)I visited the shop once looking for a frame I needed, I spotted it but they refused to sell it regardless of how much I was willing to pay ! As far as I understood, they operate like other legit charities (fixing and) selling donated items (bikes) and use revenues to buy new goods (bikes) to give away ! Years ago I received a letter explaining that they had to become a legal business and had to change management to comply with laws and liabilities. I hope they are not going to be another one of those charities, catering to the rich donors and spending most money for their salaries, paid employees, overhead and mismanaged operation .I m sure Grumpy Jack still knows what hes doing and oversees his overgrown creation, but I worry for the day hes going to have to pass the baton to more appealing business people who are going to run it like ...the Red Cross . But I hope not ! Many poor kids keep getting their bikes on Christmas and need to keep it growing instead of using money leftover from future CEOs Mercedes ! Good luck !
