And just as you would expect with a great Doctor, a great office staff as well. They all made the trip to the eye doctor worth it and I appreciate each one of you. Thank You again!!!!

Great staff at the physicians office and both my husband and I love Dr. Brown. He is very nice and does a great job getting my prescriptions right. Mica who helped my husband and I pick out glasses was very nice and patient! She was able to adjust the frames so they were comfortable. Great service all the way through!

Dr Brown is great! The eye exam was thorough and he explained everything. The girls at the front of the office are friendly and make you feel right at home. If you are looking for a new eye doctor you need to go see Dr Brown at Huseman Eyecare.

The staff were very attentive to my mothers health issues and worked patiently with her through the exam process.

Right when I got there no one acknowledged me and when someone else did they welcomed them and helped them before me. When asked questions about taking a photo of my eye they expected me to know what it was and didn’t care to really explain it. I felt rushed and not really taken care of. The actual doctor that did my eye exam was really nice but the overall experience was nowhere close to great. When checking out not much was explained or what the nexts steps where in getting new glasses. I was given my receipt and prescription and was dismissed. I had to ask what to do next and if I was able to get new glasses. Upon entering I heard receptionists sharing this information with other patients and what their allowances would be that just finished but not me. I think the receptionists were trash and could’ve been a lot more friendly and do their job better. I will not be a returning patient.

Katie listened to my concerns and gave me recommendations for contacts and and drops. It was nice to have someone listen and not rush me through the process. I am so glad i stumbled upon this place. My only regret is not coming here sooner.

Dr. Brown and staff at Huseman Eyecare are always attentive, personable & eager to assist.not long ago, I had an unusual, immediate need for replacement contacts (my glasses were broken & I can see very little with the naked eye). I had been admitted to the U or I hospital & the intake staff unfortunately disposed of my hard contacts. even though my prescription was a bit out of date, Dr. Brown & his staff assisted my husband with quick delivery of contacts on my behalf.we also have a son that began wearing glasses at 7 y.o. who is seen by Dr. Brown. he takes his time with him to make sure hes comfortable & understands the exam process. I attempted a different eye doctor a little closer to our current home for him(we recently moved about 1.25 hrs from WDM) but knew immediately we would return to Huseman Eyecare.

First time patient, and was checked in and examined quickly! They have a state-of-the-art scanner, in lieu of dilating your pupils, that lets you see your own retinas. Pretty cool!!

I’ve been coming here for years. They caught that I had a cataract growing in both eyes. I had both fixed later in the year as they continued to grow and leave me almost blind. What a great feeling to know they’re looking out for you. My visit yesterday was a repeat of all previous visits. Friendly and thorough with a good explanation at the end of the visit.

The office staff was polite and courteous. I had questions about what my insurance would cover and the lady that assisted me kindly printed a sheet explaining my benefits. She didn’t have to do that, but as someone that sees an optician once every year, or even every two years, I do forget what my coverage actually covers. I was then taken back to a room by a young lady that did some measurements and was very polite and answered all my questions. I was then moved into the exam room and the doctor came in to check my eyes. She was very professional, kind, and seemed to really know her way around the office. By that I mean you can tell she’s highly educated and experienced, which makes me feel much more comfortable. She offered to have me try some new contacts, and proceeded to give me quite a few samples. I was in and out, with the VERY cool plastic glasses to protect my dilated eyes, in less than an hour. I have always went to random places for my eyes, this will now be my permanent doctor.

I was experiencing flashing crowns of thorns in my vision field and it had been happening for awhile and becoming more frequent so I stopped by to ask if I should be alarmed and was told the doctor would get me in right away. Which he did! He preformed a couple of tests then examined my eyes and we talked awhile and I learned stress can also affect your vision and all is well, with my eyes anyway!

Bought glasses at lenscrafters and have been harassed by this place of business numerous times since to get an eye exam. They dont accept the most common vision insurance in Des Moines and were not pleasant to me when I inquired if they were in network.
