The beer room is a nice improvement. Its been a while since I was here.

Nice neighborhood shop. Very small selection of spirits (but they will special order upon request), but there’s a walk-in fridge for beers. I appreciated that they enforced the mask policy. Id much prefer to support a small business like this than a mega-store, especially with competitive prices.

Best experience I ever had

I have been a loyal customer to this store for quite sometime now, especially since lockdown. This was my go to place to buy gin. The cashier was extremely rude when I accidentally walked into the store forgetting to wear my mask. Saying “Get out, go!”. I understand people are worried about the virus, but that doesn’t warrant being rude to customers. I’m sure he doesn’t care, because it’s not his business that’s losing customers. Nonetheless the owner should be aware that certain members of staff working for them have an attitude problem.

AMAZING. Very kind and helpful. I was looking for a hard to find item as a gift for a friend. They talked to their distributor, located it at another store in the area and called me with where I could find it. That kind of customer service never happens in DC!

Dixie Liquor is simply a great place to buy alcohol. The selection is eclectic and has a wide range of prices and tastes. But you can buy booze in a lot of places so what separates Dixie from the rest? The owner and his staff! Dixie provides the greatest customer service experience you could ever hope for and it is likely you will be introduced to a new product that you never considered that will be great. Visit and see for yourself.

They just reopened! The new management people are so friendly, great new renovation and dont forget to check out the beer cooler. They also offer great selection from beers, wines, spirits and kegs too.

Ive been here a few times but they are consistently out of CO2 and kegs of good quality beer. If you dont return a rented tap by the date noted on the receipt - about a week - it is a non-refundable $50 charge and you get to keep a thoroughly used tap.I found another place for CO2 closer to home (AirGas on Jeff-Davis Highway in Alexandria) and Im sticking with Total Wine.

Weird location, surprisingly convenient for commuting

Unreliable or out of business. Dixie was supposed to be open today (Saturday) from noon to 12:00 pm. I went there at 12:30 pm and the again at 1:05 pm. It was padlocked and dark inside. I called at 2:50 pm and no one answered. Are they out of business or just completely unreliable??

Liquor store??? More like soft drink store... almost no selection besides beer, wine and cheap vodka.Came in to find the workers sipping on beer and not caring about assisting with anything.Was looking for some Dissarono and Hennessy or at least Cavassier left empty handed.Whats the point in being a liquor store if I can purchase same items in the grocery store!!!

The new ownership at Dixie really out did their selfs with the new remodel. Kegs and delivery service on top of that.
