I just love the store. Being vegan is a journey but when you have thats had just about everything its makes better. The sales clerk was awesome. He suggest a vegan friendly wine. I cant wait to taste.

Yes? Organic Market Brookland? No! Organic Market Brookland. Although it is conveniently located. It is very expensive! I appreciate that it has a lot of the specialty items I like as a vegan, but todays interaction with clerks at the store reminded me that it’s more expensive than is worth paying for even for the convenience of location. Today there was a mislabeling of an items cost and instead of finding a way to just apologize for the inconvenience this caused (there was a $2 price differential), the clerks belittled the error. It made it even more unreasonable for me to spend my money at a store that is much more expensive with less options than comparable stores like Whole Foods where the customer service and insight into the experience of the consumer is sub par. I hope that the franchise can re-think its plan for cost and retention of customers.

If you love natural or Organic food this is the place. EVERY THING in this store is GOOD. They even have a great wine selection. There is no bad choices in this store. YES!!!!!

I was trying to get to my fav beverage, zevia soda, ginger ale or cherry cola are the best, but watch the caffeine, but they were stocking the shelves and there were some boxes in the way. So I couldnt get to my bevvies. But theyre pretty nice there

What can I say, YES has been going strong for many many years, and it is, by far, my favorite grocer on the planet. Kudos to everyone who has a hand in the operation of the Brookland location. They all pack a ton of goodness into a rather small space, and you do it so neatly. Love it!

This is an awesome store its always fresh and clean here the workers are very helpful, patient and courteous. I love to come here for my ginger and spices and very fresh salads.

My Fav Spot & Location..The Staff is always friendly & professional..I love their soup (Curry Chicken Chowder) The Best & please get the chicken corn chowder & clam chowder (I heard about the clam chowder but never Had It from here but heard it was amazing)👍

Staff is knowledgeable about their products and always willing to assist with selection. Always find quality products want to try that may not be as accessible or highlighted in larger stores.

I’ve been shopping here at least once a week for a little over 3 years. They have a really good team right now. It’s a great, small grocery store. Cashiers are kind, responsive and respectful and other reps will help you find things if you have a question. Keep in mind they will not have everything due to their limited size - this is not a Safeway - so sometimes you will need to think outside the box or have a backup recipe. Prices are fair given the wide range of organic/health products.

While I do enjoy the small size of the store and don’t mind the occasional out of stock items, nearly every other time I come home to find something rung up incorrectly on the receipt - whether the sale item that wasn’t charged as being on sale, something rung up double, an extra product from a previous customer, etc. In addition I find that some of the staff have an unhelpful attitude or don’t address longstanding issues that I’ve raised (specially about a product that was priced incorrectly for weeks, but other things as well). For the extra price paid for groceries at this store, I would expect better service and quality from staff.

Very convenient having an organic grocery store in the neighborhood that isnt a giant chain that rhymes with shmole shrewds. Everythings always fresh and you can always find a healthier version of whatever you buy at a regular store. The missing star is because sometimes theyll have an item stocked and then wont have it for weeks, sometimes months or will stop carrying it altogether.

Its a good store. Very clean. Good clerks. I actually like the small size. Makes it feel a little homey. I think if they add much more to the inside that it will feel crowded. The aesthetic is pleasing. All of their produce seems to be local, organic. The shelf items are neatly arranged every time I go in. They also have a wide selection of foods including quite a few gluten free options. Price... worth it honestly. I dont say that about many stores with organic foods. Theyre usually overpriced. But this one hits the margins pretty well.If they could make it a tad more roomy inside it would be perfect. In fact Im just now changing my rating to 5 star. It really is a great grocery store.

I went shopping here yesterday 4/23 eve though I was buying groceries I was not allowed to use the restroom. I could have understood this more if I was just walking into the store and not a paying customer but I was in fact a customer. I don’t understand the method of being able to spend money at a place but being denied access to their restroom. I will NEVER shop here again !

While some produce is expensive at Yes! I do love coming to this location, some of their soups are great for lunch (especially the curried chicken soup), they sell great coffee from local roaster Zekes, and they often have sales on my favorite soap.Also a great spot in Brookland to grab good craft beers, and other quick lunch options from their ready meals section (I definitely recommend the vegan tuna pockets and the vegetarian eggrolls).

Very convenient location, super friendly and helpful staff, and a nice variety of organic produce (try their house made guacamole!) and earth friendly products. A few years ago, I was looking for a particular brand of conditioner and one of the staff members helped get it in the store. I thought that was really awesome! What would be more awesome is if they could expand somehow, but for my needs, Im really happy with Yes!

Where great when first opened in Brookland. The selection of popcorn has been reduced to a very limited selection and nothing I like. For some unknown reason they no longer have the convenient smaller shopping carts. Everyone is not able to carry a handheld cart. They haphazard way in which they stop carrying items you may have bought there for years is quite annoying.

Great place for healthy snacks and fresh juice. The people working there always seem like they lack energy. Like it takes a lot for them to muster up a smile, but they do it anyway. Either way, its perfect spot for a neighborhood market

This is a neighborhood market that has about everything yet it is small! 8 types of apples, ready made salads, three hot coffee urns for fresh coffee, 2 large pots of hot soup to go, Friendly staff! Selection of yogurts, grains, and nuts.Good selection of Wine and Beer. My favorite place to shop and free parking.

Great produce, wonderful local vibe, standard natural/specialty selection. Meats are hit or miss, and dairy from Yes! consistently goes bad earlier than when we purchase from other stores. Dont know why. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Love being able to walk here.

This is nice neighborhood grocery store with great organic options. The service is quick and friendly. The lines are rarely long. I like that it is a small place stocked with everything I need. I can get in and out quickly.

A decent store, but be very careful to check expiration dates. They regularly sell milk past the sell-by date.UPDATE: I forgot to mention the eggs. Check for broken ones. I really wish I were kidding about the QC problems, or otherwise Id shop here way more...

You pay for convenience in the food desert of upper NE. I was in a bind and needed a specific diet food and Yes! has it but $10 more than GNC and Amazon. Also, sparkling water was $3.99/liter and at Moms its $1.99 - I know you need to turn a profit but wow!

This store is very close to where I love, its very convenient but my girlfriend resently bought guacamole from here she loves it but even though its super expensive they probably dont have a sanitary way to do it and the reason is because we found rocks in it. My girlfriend hurt her teeth after eating the last bit of it with bread and found this rock. Even if I go to the store and show them nothing would change because they would have to change the way they make it. Be careful when eating food prepped from here, this things can really have a huge impact in your health.

I wish this place wasnt so expensive!! Their bulk section is okay but not great if youre someone looking to reduce trash by bringing your own containers. Its mostly granola, nuts and rice. I recently paid $70 for what was not even a weeks worth of groceries. Thats the price you pay for organic food, I guess!

Between constantly not finding products that were there last week and waiting in lines when the store is pretty much empty. This place always seems understaffed. The prices are also pretty high considering the quality of the store.

Not exactly impressed with the produce there, its kind of sad looking in my opinion. The store itself is nice and inviting. The customer service is great especially from Misa, she really goes out of her way to ensure u are served and satisfied.

The assistant manager Saidi is very rude and his customer service is very poor. I wont never ever spend any single penny in this store

A little bit more expensive but a decent selection for organic products. The croissant sandwiches are worth it and they have a great baba ganush.

The store was to open up at 7am. I got up to the door around 7:05 and the owner tells me hold on close the door and locks it while I stand out in the cold. After a few minutes I started walking back to my car because it was 19 degrees outside. This isnt the first bad experience Ive had with this stores management but itll definitely be my last.

Lot of produce goes bad quickly. I dont find this at Moms. Thry have Amazing freshly made soups. Reduced ready to cook veggies are a deal...find many choices to add to dinner.

Very friendly staff and the food is delicious. Reminds me of Whole Foods before it got too big. Sometimes the staff don’t know where products are so look for yourself before leaving the store.

The Brookland area is lacking in quality grocery market. Yes, although a little pricey and limited selection, does help meet the need. You will not find kraft mac and cheese here, and the cheapest eggs are like $3 a dozen. In most cases, they will probably have any staple item you need for cooking. Along with a decent craft beer and wine selection.

Very nice market. My dad worked for Yes! back when it was a small store in Adams Morgan. Ive seen what it was and what it has become, and its amazing.

We shopped at this Market on Sunday night and bought beer and wine without a problem. The next night we tried to purchase alcohol and our Australian Drivers Lisences were refused as valid ID when they had been accepted the PREVIOUS night. Nice stock but clearly highly incompetent staff.

Gabby helped me out today in the store . She has such AWESOME customer service! Not to mention her presence & conversation is AMAZING. However, as a customer that has been coming here for years, I was disappointed to see that management is making the employees where uniforms now. What happened to your employees being able to rock and own there own sense of style and fashion. Seeing them in uniforms was slightly depressing . Anyways Gabby was/is AMAZING, I just hope that management reconsiders and doesnt turn into a chain store like CVS, GIANT, or a Safeway grocier. YUCK!

Ive reached out to the store in the past via their websites customer service section with problems and never recieved a response of any kind. The ice cream in the freezer is so frozen its filled with ice chips and every pint Ive bought in the past year has been ruined. Signage is majorly lacking and I dont realize it until Im at the register paying $15 for a bag of grapes. Bread I bought from their fresh bakery section had mold on it the next day. The kimchi I got was so rotten it exploded in my kitchen spewing bad kimchi everywhere. This transaction is keeping my review at 2 stars instead of 1 since I was fully refunded for the kimchi after the cashier smelled it. I only come here for packaged goods when Im too desperate to leave the neighborhood to get groceries elsewhere.
